Baby on The Doorstep

Harriet Jasmine Selene Potter was getting ready to turn eighteen. She was dealing with a lot after the Battle of Hogwarts like the Press and other things that involved the Magical World. There were times that she could live her life over again; but with someone who would love her like a daughter should have been loved.

She also wished that she could handle the Press better even if she had to deal with the prophecy again or not. She also wanted to fall in love for herself and not be put in a marriage contract.

In the afterlife...

James and Lily along with Sirius and Remus were sitting at a table facing Death, Fate, Destiny, and Time. They were telling the four deities how they hated seeing Harriet being in the situation that she was in now.

"Lord and Lady Potter, we understand. We have also taken the liberty of deciding to de-age, Harriet back to her year-old self; but she will be raised by a man with a caring heart." Death said.

"Without realizing it, he will be helping your daughter to prepare for the prophecy that still remains in play. I would like to apologize about not being able to get rit of it." Destiny said.

"Who is the man that will be raising our daughter?" James asked curiously.

"His name is Anthony Edward Stark or Tony for short." Fate said, "Your daughter will be in good hands with him as her adoptive father."

"If this, Tony Stark raises our daughter, he can change her first name but leave her middle name because it is both a feminine form of James as well as a flower." Lily suggested.

The four deities agreed on that.

"I'm curious but how will the four of you pull this off?" Sirius questioned

"With the help of George and Angelina Weasley because they care about Harriet." Time said.

They continued talking.

Back with Harriet...

Harriet wished that somehow this wasn't her life because she wanted to be absolutely free. Although, if she had to go through all this again; she wish that she was better prepared for it.

At that moment, there was a knock at the door and she went to answer it. She was surprised to see George and Angelina standing there with smiles on their faces.

"What's going on?" Harriet asked.

"Drink this, Harriet." George said handing her vile.

"Why?" Harriet asked curiously.

"Harriet, George and I have been tasked with a very important mission and that's you." Angelina said.

"Huh?" Harriet questioned.

So, George and Angelina explained their mission to Harriet; so she would understand what was going on. When they finished explaining everything to her; she just smiled and drank what was in the vile.

George and Angelina Weasley watched as their dear friend was de-aged right before their eyes and they knew that they had to get her a few things as she was a year old and they were willing to help prepare this Tony Stark being a father in any way that they could.

So, that night, George and Angelina Weasley headed to Malibu, California in the States to deliver a de-aged Harriet Potter to him.

Malibu, California 1998...

Anthony Edward Stark who went by Tony is a twenty-eight year old CEO of Stark Industries. He was constantly being I hounded by the Press as well as the Board of Directors. He had been through several PAs (Personal Assistants) in the last couple of weeks.

However, when he got home; he was stunned to see a pink bundle on his doorstep and he wondered who left her here. He noticed that there was a written letter on top of the bundle and took the bundle inside. He opened the letter and read:

Dear Sir,

This is Harriet Jasmine Potter. She was working on something when she suddenly had an accident that had somehow de-aged her. She is technically eighteen but it seems like she's a year-old.

Her life is in danger and we believe that she'll be safe with you and only. If you would like to change her name; go for it just keep her middle name in honor of her parents.

Tony kept reading the letter which mentioned that he should get her good private tutors in magic and he wondered what job this young woman had that an accident would cause this type of thing where the person could be reverted back to their very younger self.

He sighed and then he looked inside the pink blanket bundle. He was amazed to see the year old girl had black raven hair and an unique scar on her forehead that looked like a lightening bolt. He couldn't wait to see what her eyes looked like.

From what he understood from the letter; the little girl well the teen girl had had a prophecy hung over her head and she had been placed in care of her abusive Aunt and Uncle who spoiled their son and made the girl work as a servant for them as well as starve her.

Tony was going to make sure that this young one was going to get a better chance at a childhood since she was miraculous second chance and he was going to make sure that it would be the best. So, he was going to do what the letter said that he needed to do in order to keep her safe; plus, it also meant that she was going to be his Heiress.

Within a few minutes, he heard, "Da?"

He looked down and saw the most beautiful green as emerald eyes looking back at him. He just smiled and said, "Did you have a good nap, my little Phoenix flower?"

The little girl nodded.

Then it hit Tony. He would rename Harriet Jasmine Potter as Phoenix Jasmine Stark but his two nicknames for her would be 'Phoenix Flower' or Nix which would be short for Phoenix. So, he smiled and decided to get her something to eat before they decided to care of some business at the bank that was mentioned in the letter.

Moments later...

After Tony and his little Phoenix left their Malibu home and headed directly to the bank to deal with this situation immediately; and he also knew that he would have to come up with a story about his little girl should the Press get wind of her.

Once Tony had followed the directions to get where needed to go. He was amazed as he entered what was known as the Magical World of America. He had to admit that that it was amazing as well as beautiful because it seemed to be a mixture of things like a time capsule of sorts and modern times.

Two hours later...

Tony made it to the bank after looking at everything. He entered the bank and gave the creature the letter as instructed to do.

The creature took the letter and read read it. Then it looked at Tony and said, "Welcome to the American branch of Gringotts, Mr. Stark. We will get you and your daughter set up immediately."

Tony looked at the creature and said, "Thank you, good sir."

The creature was surprised by being thanked but nodded and got to work immediately. The creature had Tony to sign several things immediately and then he followed the creature when the creature told him that he would be doing a blood adoption in order for him to keep the little girl as his daughter by blood.

As the creature explained things to Tony; he was amazed that there was such a thing a blood adoption and he also learned that he would also be doing the regular adoption as well in order for everything to be legal in both in the Magical World and Non-magical world.

Time Skip to 2010*

Tony had to go out of town for business and his daughter decided to stay behind with Pepper and Happy to take care of the company while her father had to go to Afghanistan for weapons demonstration for the military.

After the demonstration, he was in a different Humvee talking with some soldiers and was enjoying talking with them until it was attacked.

Tony got out and was trying to make a call when a bomb landed right beside him. He was stunned to see that it was one of his own and he tried to get away but it went off.

Back in Malibu at Stark Industries...

Phoenix was in her father's office and Pepper was with her; when Phoenix suddenly paled instantly.

Pepper noticed that Phoenix was literally pale and began to worry that she had Jarvis immediately lock down Tony's office because Tony had warned Pepper about his daughter having a sixth sense at times and not to question it.

"Miss Stark?" Pepper asked.

Phoenix looked at Pepper and said, "Dad, has been taken."

Pepper knew that Tony and his daughter was close, but she could tell that this young woman was strong. Phoenix knew well was aware that she had a crush on her father but didn't seem to mind it.

"Phoenix, may I ask what you mean?" Pepper questioned.

"Something has happened to Dad while he's in Afghanistan. Meaning, that as his daughter, I'll have to step up and run the company until his return." Phoenix stated.

Pepper was surprised by this but nodded.

"Pepper, you're personal assistant and you're the best one that he has had. So, I am asking for your help today. You're going to help me keep everything in line until Dad's safe return. Plus, you're the first PA to actually get my trust when it comes to my father." Phoenix said.

Pepper was surprised to hear that she had Phoenix's trust when it came to Tony. She was amazed at how far Phoenix would go for her father; she had also had been shocked when she had first learned about Phoenix from Tony.

Phoenix smiled and said, "Pepper, you seem recalling when we first met. Trust me, it was interesting if you recall because I put you through hell for the first few weeks."

Pepper smiled and said, "Yes, you did. I never could figure out why until Tony said that you were testing me. When I asked him why would his daughter be testing me. He simply said that the other personal assistants had failed the ultimate test which was actually given by you without them knowing."

Phoenix smiled and said, "You can call me Nix if like, Pepper."

"Okay, Nix. I guess when I first met Tony; I admit that I was shocked to learn that he had a daughter." Pepper said.

Pepper and Nix continued talking.

Meanwhile in Afghanistan...

Tony was working on way to get back to Phoenix, Pepper, Happy, and Rhodey as well as his company with the help of Yinsen. They talked while working on their escape plan.

Yinsen had been shocked that Tony Stark had a daughter who was twenty-seven years old. Tony explained everything to Yinsen about his daughter and how she was able to get a second chance at a better childhood do to an accident. He also shared how his daughter had this sixth sense about people.

"Don't worry, Stark. We'll get you back to your daughter." Yinsen said.

Tony sighed with a small smile and said, "If I know my daughter, she won't give up until I am home and if anyone tells her otherwise; let's just say all hell will break lose. Because I have seen her do so with my past personal assistants and once piss off Phoenix; she doesn't let you get away with it."

Yinsen was surprised to hear that and asked, "How does she react to the personal assistant that you have now?"

"Phoenix seems okay with Pepper compared to the others. When it comes to me, my daughter is very protective of me when it should be the other way around. However, I guess it's because I raised her all by myself at the age of twenty-eight and we became close as can be for a father and a daughter." Tony stated.

Yinsen seemed to understand the father and daughter relationship between Stark and his daughter. Then he said, "It seems that if your daughter likes your personal assistant, Pepper then she has gained your daughter's trust where the others did not."

"I suppose so because not once has Nix glared at Pepper like she had the others. In fact, Pepper told me that she had glared at a female reporter and told her off. I was surprised when Pepper told me about that but Pepper also told me that Nix doesn't like it when people try to use me for their own personal gain and that's why she went off on the reporter." Tony said.

"It seems that your daughter is greatful to you for what you did for her and she seems to want to return the favor by protecting you from people that want to use you for their personal gain or interest." Yinsen pointed out.

Tony sighed and said, "There were times when I felt like I was going to fail Nix as a father; but she never got upset with me unless she was worried or concerned. Sometimes, Nix would sneak and check on me down in the garage when she was younger just to see if I was okay. There were times that I would do the same especially if she had nightmares about her pervious situation and I had hated that for her."

"It sounds like you two were there for each other and that's a good thing." Yinsen said.

Tony smiled and said, "Yeah, we were always there for each other. It makes me wonder what Nix is doing right now because I know that she'll not give up."

Back with Phoenix and Pepper...

Pepper and Phoenix were still talking when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." Phoenix said.

A woman entered followed by a gentleman in a black business like suit. The woman said, "This is Phil Coulson and he wishes to speak with the two of you."

Phoenix looked at the woman and said, "That will be all, Alicia and if I hear anything like rumors going amongst the employees about my father again; I will personally deal with them. Because I will not tolerate it, do I make myself clear?!"

"Yes, Miss Stark." Alicia said leaving a very shocked Phil in the presence of the two women.

"Jarvis, relock down Dad's office now!" Phoenix said

"Yes, Miss Stark. "

Phil thought that he would be talking with Miss Potts; but he was shocked or more like stunned at the fact that Tony Stark had a daughter.

"Thanks, Jarvis because this will be a private conversation between myself, Miss Potts and Mr. Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D. " Phoenix stated.

"Of course, Miss Stark and you're welcome."

Phil stared at the young woman who Miss Potts was standing next to. She was almost like a female version of Tony Stark himself.

"So, Mr. Coulson, what brings you here?" Phoenix asked curiously.

"I was to inform Miss Potts that S.H.I.E.L.D. is willing to help locate Mr. Stark. Instead, I think that I just got the shock of my life." Phil said.

Phoenix chuckled and said, "Yes, I seem to have that affect on people. Also, Mr. Coulson, I appreciate all the help from S.H.I.E.L.D. in trying to find my father. I am also aware that my grandfather, Howard Stark was one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D. My relationship with my father is very different from the one my father had with grandfather. However, something tells me that S.H.I.E.L.D. may have finally located Captain America aka Steve Rogers."

Phil's eyes widen at that.

Pepper smiled at Phil and said, "Phoenix Stark is very smart and there are times when she has a sixth sense about something especially if it concerns her father, Tony Stark."

Phil continued talking with Phoenix Stark and Pepper Potts. He also told Miss Stark that he would have to inform Fury of her existence.

Phoenix nodded in understanding but made it perfectly clear that if Fury betrayed the trust of a Stark considering that a Stark was responsible for S.H.I.E.L.D. even existing then Fury would regret it.

Phil nodded after they had wrapped up their conversation and Phil left heading back to S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters...

"Phil, how did it go at Stark Industries?" Maria asked curiously.

"It was interesting to say the least." Phil said.

"How was it interesting, Agent Coulson?" Fury questioned appearing suddenly.

"Well, not only did I meet Miss Potts; but I met Tony Stark's daughter, Phoenix Stark." Phil stated.

Fury did a spit take and said, "Say that again, Agent Coulson?"

So, Phil explained everything to Fury and even told him about what Miss Stark said. When Phil finished explaining the entire situation; Fury knew that Miss Stark was to be taken seriously because apparently, the daughter is protective of her father when it should be the other way around.

Back in Afghanistan...

Tony and Yinsen had finally finished the thing that would get them both out of the god forsaken cave and away from their captors. Then the fight began between Tony and his captors after Yinsen was killed immediately afterwards.

He fired at his very own weapons to blow things up and to prevent the enemy attacking his fellow Americans that were in the military. He also thought about is daughter and how she had managed to risen up from the flames of tragedy and abuse like a Mythucal Phoenix in her first childhood then when she was given to him all those years ago; she gave him the opportunity to do the same in a way.

After he finished doing the damage; he flew off and hoping that Rhodey found him.

Moments later, after he crashed landed and walked a bit. He heard a military helicopter and was happy once he realized that it was Rhodey.

"Next time, you're riding with me. Because I never want to hear a pissed off Phoenix again." Rhodey said.

Tony chuckled hearing that Rhodey was scared of Phoenix.

"It isn't funny, Tony. Especially, when Pepper joined her in demanding that I not expect the worst." Rhodey said.

Tony was definitely surprised by hearing that. He just looked at Rhodey completely stunned.

"Let's just say that Phoenix kept Pepper close to her because she trusted Pepper enough to help her as she would you. I recall you telling me that Phoenix hated all your previous personal assistants before you had Pepper. I consider that a sign that Pepper has earned Phoenix's trust which the others didn't and that's saying something." Rhodey said.

Tony sighed and said, "In a way, Phoenix tested each and every one of my personal assistants and apparently, Pepper passed her test in order to get her trust."

"However, I also heard that Pepper was giving Phoenix advice on what you would do and what you wouldn't do with Stark Industries. Also, I heard that Phoenix got very stern with the board members as well as the employees especially Obadiah and told him that she didn't give a damn if he had been her grandfather's business partner; he had no right to lie to the employees about her father. She even said that if her grandfather was alive; she would be very disappointed to know how people that were his employees would assume the worse about his son." Rhodey said.

Tony was shocked that his daughter said something like that; but he understood why she might've said that.

The Malibu Airport...

Pepper and Happy were standing there beside Phoenix waiting for Tony to arrive. Both Pepper and Happy could tell that Phoenix was happy that Tony was okay and was coming home. They both had stayed by Phoenix's side through this whole ordeal with Tony being MIA for three months after the weapons demonstration.

As soon as the plane landed and the gang plank dropped revealing her father being help by Rhodey; she ran to him which didn't surprise Pepper or Happy at all.

Tony was surprised to see his Phoenix flower running towards him in heels no less considering that she usually wore flats. Then again, his daughter would always surprise him.

"Hey, my Phoenix flower." Tony said hugging his daughter with his good arm.

"Welcome back, Dad." Phoenix said.

Tony felt his shirt starting to get wet and realized that Nix was crying; which made him realize that she had been scared of losing him. He held her close as he walked towards Pepper and Happy.

"Are those tears for your boss?" Tony questioned her curiously.

"Tears of happiness, Tony that your with us again. I wouldn't dare find another job because Phoenix wouldn't hear of it about me leaving." Pepper stated.

Tony was surprised to hear that.

"Boss, Phoenix kept our hopes up while you were away and she even threatened Obadiah as well as the Board members in a very Stark fashion. She even scared the employees who were saying that you were dead." Happiness stated.

Tony took a look at his daughter with amusement. Then they got into the car as did Rhodey.

Inside the car...

"Where to boss?" Happy asked.

"How about a cheeseburger, Happy. I believe a Press Conference as well." Tony stated.

"What about hospital, Tony?" Pepper asked.

"I'll be okay." Tony said.

"Dad, are you absolutely sure because I would hate to call 9-1-1 because you were being stubborn?" Phoenix asked.

"Yes, I'm sure, Phoenix flower." Tony said.

"Okay, but if you change your mind let me, Happy, Pepper, or even Rhodey know." Phoenix said.

"Of course, Phoenix Flower. By the way, what's this I hear about you threatening employees, boardmembers, and Obadiah?" Tony said.

Phoenix gave her father a look that said, 'I didn't like that they assumed that you were dead with no proof '.

"Ah, I see. You had faith in your old man." Tony said with a smile.

"Dad, you're only old as you feel and you stay young at heart which is a good thing in my opinion. Plus, I wouldn't have it any other way because that's who are and if people don't like it; they find something else to be interested in." Phoenix stated firmly.

Tony just shook his head.

Pepper giggled at the father and daughter antics because it was cute.

They continued talking and laughing on their way to Stark Industries.

Several minutes later...

They got out of the car and was beside her Dad instantly along with Pepper and Happy.

Obadiah tried to approach Tony but Phoenix wouldn't let him near Tony. Then they walked inside the building and the Press was there to hear what Tony had to say.

Tony made several statements about his his father while his daughter was by his side. While they were sitting down on the floor.

Pepper noticed that Obadiah had no idea what Tony was going to do but apparently, Phoenix did which surprised Pepper.

Phil happened to be there and told Pepper that Fury will want to know about Tony's rescue.

Pepper spoke quietly to Phil and said, "Pencil you in, but you do realize that Phoenix will not leave her father's side."

"I understand." Phil said leaving.

Suddenly, the Press was in an uproar over Tony's announcement.

Several weeks later...

Tony had redesigned his Iron Man suit with his daughter and his bot children by his side as well as Jarvis.

Phoenix was enjoying herself by helping her father and her robotic siblings.

Tony smiled seeing Phoenix smile because Happy informed him that his Phoenix flower had taken very hard when he had been MIA for three months and was yelling at Rhodey not to give up and Pepper had witnessed it.

"Da?" Phoenix said.

"Yes, baby girl?" Tony said.

"You will always be my hero no matter what and I know you have a heart of gold. I understand why you are Iron Man and Iron Man is you because your one in the same and can't have one without the other." Phoenix stated.

"Nix, are you having a sixth sense about something?" Tony questioned curiously.

"Sort of, Dad but I know that this is important to you and I stand by you because you are my father. I love you, Dad." Phoenix said.

"In other words, you sensed part of it?" Tony questioned.

Phoenix nodded.

"Well, you're my hero as well, my Phoenix flower." Tony said with a smile.

Tony went through several tests of the new suit with with his little family with him.

Phoenix laughed as Dume sprayed her father with the fire extinguisher. Then Tony took the extinguisher and sprayed Phoenix with it.

Suddenly, Tony's phone rang and he answered, "Hello?"

"Tony, it's Pepper. I figured that you and Nix may be hungry. So, I brought you some pizza."

"Okay, Pepper. Nix and I'll be upstairs soon." Tony said.

"Okay, see you two soon."

A few minutes later, Tony and Phoenix joined Pepper upstairs for movie night and pizza.

Time Skip *

Tony and Phoenix were down in his lab; they were listening to the news. Tony was suddenly interested in hearing the news.

"Dad, isn't that the name of his hometown?" Phoenix asked looking at father.

"It is, Nix." Tony said.

"Go, Dad and kick ass." Phoenix said.

Tony chuckled and dawned on his new and approved Iron Man suit. Then he left heading straight for the war zone.

Meanwhile, Obadiah Stane had gone to Afghanistan to speak with the people that he had hired to kill Tony Stark.

Stane was shown what the guy and his men uncovered in the desert after Tony Stark was rescued by Rhodey.

He started to plan something evil and included getting rit of both Tony and his daughter.

Back in Malibu...

The Air Force scrambled their planes in order to figure out exactly how something had done so much damage.

Rhodey immediately called Tony when the planes were chasing him. When Tony called him back and explained; Rhodey was stunned to learn that it was Tony in the suit.

He also had a feeling that he would hear it from Phoenix because the Air Force had tried to attack her father of all people.

Moments later, Rhodey was addressing the Press about what had happened. While, Tony was with his daughter in his lab getting the armor off.

Pepper walked in and saw what was going on.

Tony and Phoenix noticed that Pepper was standing there wide eyed as could be.

Tony looked at Pepper and said, "This isn't the worst that you have seen me at."

Phoenix sighed and shook her head at her father's lame attempt at flirting with Pepper.

"Tony, are those bullet holes?" Pepper questioned holding a package and sitting down on his desk.

Both Tony and Phoenix nodded.

"Do I even want to know?" Pepper asked.

"Probably not." Tony said.

Pepper noticed that Phoenix was working on what appeared to be what looked like a pair of shoes.

A few weeks later...

Tony had come upstairs and was surprised to see Stane. Then he heard Phoenix screaming at him in terror. He couldn't believe it, Nix had been right about Obadiah and now, he had taken his Phoenix flower from him which was his reason for living.

He made his way down to his lab. He needed the other arch reactor to save his daughter because she meant the world to him just as Pepper was starting to mean something to him as well.

Rhodey started searching Tony's home for him and Phoenix because Pepper had called him to check on them both. He made a beeline to Tony's lab and was stunned to see Tony slumped against his desk.

"Tony?" Rhodey said.

Tony opened his eyes and gasped, "Rhodey?"

"Tones, where's Phoenix?" Rhodey questioned.

Tony suddenly glared and said, "Obadiah has her!"

Rhodey was shocked.

Tony immediately dawned on his Iron Man suit and took off immediately after Rhodey explained where Pepper was.

At Stark Industries...

Pepper and Phil entered the building; however, they were not expecting to see Phoenix here.

"Nix, why are you here?" Pepper questioned.

"Pepper? Phil? Run!" Phoenix said.

"First let's get untied." Phil stated.

Once they had untied Phoenix; they took off in a run.

"Where's Dad, Pepper?" Phoenix asked.

"I sent Rhodey to check on the both of you." Pepper said.

"Well, apparently Rhodey got there after Stane took Dad's arch reactor then kidnapped me to get to Dad. Pepper, you know Dad is a bit over protective of me." Phoenix said.

Pepper giggled and said, "I know because you're his world and he's your world. You are protective of your father as well."

Phoenix smiled and said, "Pepper, if you haven't noticed; I've been protective of you as well."
