Optimus was holding Blackarchnia close to him. "We will find a cure together, so please trust me," Optimus said. "Because you will always be beautiful to me no matter what because I love you," he told her.
Blackarchnia felt tears coming and then got close to him. Then they got closer and they kissed their optics closed. She began to glow and then when the flash disappeared. They opened their optics and Optimus was surprised. "You look like yourself again," Optimus told her.
She took and look and he was right. "Oh Optimus I love you," Elita said and kissed him.
The others were shocked to say the least and Elita apologized to Sari. Things were starting to change. Optimus and Elita bonded and were now very happy. Then one morning Elita was busy doing one of her chores. When suddenly she felt sick and ran to the washrack. Optimus saw her run in there and heard her throwing up. "Are you okay Elita?" Optimus asked.
"I don't know," Elita answered him.
"Can I come in?" Optimus asked.
"I guess," Elita said.
Optimus came in and came over to her. Elita proceed to throw up again. "Easy Elita," Optimus said.
"I think I will be okay," Elita said finally stopping.
"If you say so," Optimus said. "But I think you should stay here to play it safe," he told her.
A bit later Elita was still feeling funny and she went to Ratchet while Optimus was out. "Okay now I am just going to run a few tests okay," Ratchet said.
"Okay," Elita said.
Ratchet started to run the tests and began to check on everything. Ratchet looked at all the tests and they all confirmed one thing and it was a good thing too. In fact it was just plain wonderful. It was one of the things he lived for as a medic. He even felt himself smile. "Okay Elita I have you test results." Ratchet told her.
"Okay," Elita said. "What is going wrong with me?" she asked.
"Nothing," Ratchet said. "You are 100% healthy," he told her. "Which is a good thing too as of right now," he added.
"Why is that?" Elita asked.
"Well let me be the first to congratulate you, Elita you're pregnant." Ratchet told her.
Elita was in shock, excitement and very happy. She placed her hand on her middle and smiled. "Little one I can't wait to meet you," she thought. "I can hardly wait to meet my little sparkling," Elita said.
"Yes and I know Optimus will be excited to hear you are pregnant," Ratchet told her.
"Whose pregnant?" Sari asked coming in with Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Prowl.
"Guess the cat's out of the bag as the humans say," Ratchet said seeing them.
"Everyone I am going to have a sparkling," Elita said.
"Boss bot is going to be a dad and you are going to be a mom E1?" Bumblebee asked.
"Yes," Elita said.
"This is great," Bulkhead said he was really excited.
"This is a joyous time indeed," Prowl said. "A new life," he said.
Elita commed Optimus and told him the news. Optimus sped out from patrol back to the plant. He rushed in and ran to Elita. Who he took into his arms and spun around. "This is the best thing ever!" Optimus said. "I love you," he said.
"I love you too," Elita said.
Then the two of them kissed. "I can't wait to meet our sparkling my darling Elita," Optimus said.
"I am looking forward to it myself my love," Elita said.
All of Detroit heard the big news it was really exciting. Then came the battle with Megatron. Optimus managed to convince the Dinobots to join them and help them. "Dinobots and Autobot friends," Grimlock said. "Dinobots talked and want to be Autobots," he said.
"We would love to have you apart of the team," Optimus said.
"Well they need names," Bumblebee said.
"Me Grimlock already have name," Grimlock said.
"Okay look how he swoops around," Bulkhead said about about the Pteranodon.
"That's it Swoop," Optimus said.
"Swoop like," the Pteranodon said.
"How about we call him Slag," Bumblebee said pointing at the Triceratops and he didn't look to happy. "Okay so that is a no,' he said.
The triceratops just kept snarling. "How about we call him Snarl," Prowl suggested.
"Snarl like," Snarl said.
Now the Autobots and Dinobots were busy helping fix things after the battle with the Decepticons. They were very busy. Elita was looking pregnant now. She was going to have the sparkling sometime soon.
Then the elite guard arrived. Optimus explained everything and Elita was welcomed back with much relief. Sentinel was demote from second in command and had to clean the washracks for the next three months. Optimus was made Elite guard after that because he displayed dignity under false suspicion and time of disgrace.
Starscream was captured and taken prisoner. There was still much to do.
In the summer the Elite guard returned for a while. Elita was now heavily pregnant, the sparkling was due any day now. They brought some others with them. "Hello Ultra Magnus," Optimus said.
"Good to see you again Optimus Prime," Ultra Magnus said.
"Hello Sentinel," Optimus said.
"Optimus," Sentinel said.
"Hello I am Red alert," Red alert said.
"I am First aid," First aid said.
"Hello," Optimus said. He saw Alpha Trion and Kup. "It's good to see you again Alpha Trion and Kup," he said.
"Like wise Optimus," Alpha Trion said.
"Good to see you again Optimus," Kup said. "I heard through cyber wire that you are going to be a father," he said.
"It's true," Optimus said. "Elita 1 is going to have our sparkling any day now," he said.
As if on cue Elita and the others came in. "Hello good to see you again," Ultra Magnus told Optimus' crew.
"Hello Elita," Kup said.
"Good to see you too Kup," Elita said.
"May I?" Kup asked her.
"Of course," Elita said.
Kup touched Elita's belly. There was a few kicks and punches. "Heh, feisty kid you got there," Kup said.
"Yes I suppose it is," Elita said.
"It?" Sentinel asked.
"Remember we told you all we want to keep the gender a surprise until the sparkling is born," Optimus reminded Sentinel.
"Seems like a bad idea, I mean after all, we have technology now to find out about stuff like this," Sentinel said. "So why wait? I don't see the point, because that way you know what to prepare for when the sparkling arrives, rather than get what you need for that gender after it is born," he said. "That is ridiculous," he told them.
"Well it is not ridiculous to us!" Elita snapped. She was having a mood swing.
"Sentinel remember this is their child not yours, if they want to be surprised it is their choice," Ultra Magnus said.
"Sentinel Prime you must remember even with the most advanced technology in the medical world and outside of it, mistakes can still be made and it also cannot be 100% accurate," Alpha Trion told him.
Sentinel grumbled something that no one could hear.
"Ooh!" Elita said.
"You okay?" Optimus asked Elita.
"Yes the sparkling just gave a pretty strong kick," Elita said. "Our sparkling the way it punches and kicks in there I think it will give Bulkhead or Grimlock a run for their money," she said.
Optimus kissed her and touched her belly. The sparkling responded to the touch with a kick and moving towards Optimus' touch. "It always does that when I touch your belly," Optimus said.
"It's know your their father," Elita said and the two of them kissed again.
"Sappy," Snarl said with disgust pointed to his mouth and made a gag noise.
"Snarl," Sari said.
"What's with him?" Kup asked about Snarl.
"Oh him Snarl just think he tough guy," Grimlock said. "Me Grimlock like it, me Grimlock like romance," he said.
"Grimlock sissy," Snarl said.
Then Grimlock pinned down Snarl. "What Grimlock now?" Grimlock asked.
"Grimlock Dino in charge," Snarl said.
"Don't Snarl forget it," Grimlock said.
"We put Grimlock in charge of the dinobots, they seem to do well under what he says, Grimlock takes orders from me, then tells them to the dinobots," Optimus said.
"A Wise decision Optimus," Ultra Magnus said. "We have something to show you after Sari revealed to us more about dinosaurs we built two more dinobots to join your team," he said. "Present yourselves," he called out.
An Apatosaurus and a Stegosaurus appeared. "I present to you Sludge and a Sharps," Ultra Magnus said.
"Me Sludge," the Apatosaurus said.
"Me Sharps," the Stegosaurus said.
"Sharps and Sludge transform," Ultra Magnus said.
Sludge and Sharps transformed revealing two bots. One of them holding a thermal spear and the other a thermal whip. "Me Grimlock leader of dinobots," Grimlock said.
"Sludge and Sharps you are to join the dinobots here and take commands from Grimlock and Optimus Prime do you understand?" Ultra Magnus asked.
"Understand," Sludge and Sharps said.
Things were going well that day and they were in the ship still all having a nice conversation. "Oh my, it's time," Elita said.
"It's time?" Optimus asked.
"It's time," Bumblebee said noticing.
"Wow it's time," Bulkhead said.
"Time for what?" Grimlock asked.
"The sparkling Grimlock," Prowl told the Dinobot.
"Ratchet it's time," Optimus said.
Ratchet came over and checked. "It's most definitely time," he said. "Red Alert, First aid would you two like to help?" he asked.
"Of course," the two other medics said.
"Optimus you're the father you can come in too," Ratchet said.
They all headed to the ship's medical bay. They all were getting ready to deliver a sparkling. "I hope the sparkling is going to born soon," Elita said panting.
"Don't worry it will be over before you know it," Ratchet told her.
"I sure hope you're right," Elita said.
Elita's labor was going along well. "Okay Elita things are going just fine," Ratchet said. "It won't be long now," he told her.
"Okay the warm solvent is already to get the sparkling clean when it is born," First aid said.
"I got plenty of towels and a blanket," Red alert said.
"Good," Ratchet said. Ratchet checked on how the sparkling was doing. "So far so good, the sparkling isn't in any kind of distress," he said.
"That is good to hear," Optimus said.
Then after a couple of more hours it was time. "Are you ready Elita?" Ratchet asked. Elita nodded her head. "Push!" he said.
Elita cried out and pushed.
"Atta a girl," Ratchet said. "Push!" he said again.
Elita kept pushing.
"That's it," Ratchet said. "You're doing good," he said.
"Keep it up," Red Alert said.
"You can do it," First aid said.
"I can see the head," Ratchet said. "Push," he said.
Elita pushed again and sweat was dripping off her face plate. She was squeezing Optimus' hand tight. Optimus was amazed by her grip and watched as she was bringing their child into the world.
"The head is out," Ratchet said. "Push Elita, push," he said.
Elita grunted as she pushed once more.
"Very good," Ratchet said. "Push," he said.
Elita gave one more big push. Then they saw and heard their sparkling. "It's a mech," Ratchet said. He placed the sparkling on Elita's chest plate. Elita wrapped her arms around her son. "There that is where he should be," he said with a smile.
"Hello sweetie mommy and daddy have been waiting for you," Elita said.
First aid went right to work cleaning the sparkling. The sparkling cried as First aid cleaned him.
"I know sweetie," Elita said. She got a good look at her son. He was a very dark red, with some orange here and there and he had a large crest of yellow flames on his chest. Seeing that she smiled at him. "Rodimus," she said.
"Rodimus?" Optimus asked.
"Look at him Optimus doesn't Rodimus suite him?" Elita asked. "He looks like a Hot Rod almost yet, brave, kind, strong and amazing as you," she said.
"Rodimus," Optimus said with a smile. "I love it, it is a perfect name," he said.
"Okay, Optimus would you like to do the honors and cut the cord?" Ratchet asked.
"Of course," Optimus said. Optimus then cut the cord where Ratchet showed him too.
Then the medics took the sparkling and did through check up on Rodimus and gave him a bath. Then Rodimus was put in a diaper and wrapped in a soft blanket. Ratchet then hand Rodimus to Elita.
"Hello Rodimus," Elita said. "Look at you," she said. "I'm your mommy," she said.
"I am your daddy," Optimus said touch Rodimus' little cheek.
Optimus and Elita were very happy.
Ratchet and the medics left the room. "Well how did it go Ratchet?" Ultra Magnus asked.
"Everything went just fine, Elita and the sparkling are doing well," Ratchet said.
"That is good to here," Kup said.
"Yes it is," Alpha Trion said.
"What is it?" Bumblebee asked.
"It's a sparkling," Sentinel said.
"I think Bumblebee means if it's a boy or a girl," Sari said.
"Yeah, that's what I am asking," Bumblebee said.
Sentinel just huffed.
"It's a little boy," Ratchet said.
"What is his name?" Bulkhead asked.
"They named him Rodimus," Ratchet said.
"Can we see him?" Sari asked.
"Me Grimlock want to see," Grimlock said getting exciting.
"Grimlock chill," Jazz said.
"Grimlock you need be calm if you are going to see the sparkling, sparkling's a very delicate," Prowl said.
"We will have to ask Optimus and Elita," Ratchet said.
Ratchet came into the medical bay. "Hey Ratchet," Optimus said.
"The others want to meet him," Ratchet said.
"Let them in," Optimus said and Elita nodded.
Once outside Ratchet came up to them. "You can see the sparkling," Ratchet said. "Just be calm and quiet about it," he said.
The others came into the medical bay and little Rodimus in Elita's arms. "Awe!" Sari said. "Look how cute he is," she said.
"He so tiny," Grimlock said looking at the sparkling.
"He's got your smile Optimus," Elita said.
"And your optics Elita," Optimus said.
"May I see the child?" Ultra Magnus asked.
"Of course," Elita said.
Ultra Magnus took Rodimus into his arms. "Welcome to online little one," Ultra Magnus said. He carefully moved the blanket and place an Autobot insignia on Rodimus' chest plate. "As Magnus I welcome you to the Autobots, may I wish you luck for whatever life has in store for you, whether it be a maintenance worker, a soldier, a prime or even a Magnus. I wish you the best of luck where ever you may go in life, that you will do your best at it and be a guide to others in that way. You will soon grow up and may you do well in your life because it was what you make it of it and may you make it come true." Ultra Magnus said.
"What is that all about sir?" Sentinel asked.
"It is part of the duties of a Magnus, to welcome the next generation and give them their insignia's it is all part of it," Ultra Magnus told him.
"Okay," Sentinel said he felt like that this was not something a Magnus should do.
"Let me see the little one real quick," Alpha Trion said. He saw the way the sparkling looked. He wanted to be sure of something. Ultra Magnus handed Rodimus to Alpha Trion. Alpha Trion saw that Rodimus fitted all the descriptions of a legendary Autobot who was foretold who would rise through the ranks and be Cybertron's greatest hero to the T. Alpha Trion was surprised to say the least.
Alpha Trion handed Rodimus back to Elita 1. "Just as I thought," Alpha Trion said.
"What is just like you thought?" Optimus asked Alpha Trion.
"Rodimus, matches the whole description of a legendary Autobot who was foretold of, and even part of the legend of his birth is true and matches as well," Alpha Trion said.
"Are you sure Ratchet?" Kup asked.
"Are certain of this Alpha Trion?" Ultra Magnus said.
"Yes I am certain, he even has the flame mark on his chest, and he matches the description of the Autobot perfectly," Alpha Trion said. "Rodimus is the chosen one of legend," he said.
"How can this be?" Optimus asked.
"It is possible, if he is the chosen one he needs to be protected, there are many evil beings who would wish to harm him," Alpha Trion said. "They will strike when Rodimus is small and helpless, so he needs protection." he said.
"Dinobots help protect him," Grimlock said. "No one hurt Rodimus with us around," he said.
The Dinobots growled with agreement.
"We will send more bots to help you with keep Rodimus safe," Ultra Magnus said. "Kup I want you to stay here with Optimus and his crew and help them," he said.
"Yes sir," Kup said.
The guard left and now Rodimus' adventure was soon going to begin.
