Freedom

(Play Reach For The Stars)

That was all Izuku Akatani knew throughout his short life, How to be as free as the wind.

He was adopted at an early age, left his foster family at 4 and never looked back. Back then his life was in chaos, and that's what he named his power.

QUIRK: Chaos

-Able to go at supersonic speed, can run on water and has insane reflexes/instincts

-Release energy attacks outward of his body (i.e. Sonic Wind/ Blue Chaos Spear/ Chaos Blast/ Blue Tornado)

- Granted access to transformations once his body has acclimated to more power with age

-able to heal himself to a limited degree

-can increase close combat attacks using his energy to amplify his punches, kicks, throws and reversals

Izuku controlled his chaos, he controlled his power, and he became free. He became a new person to the world that wasn't lagged down by society. He traveled the world, learning multiple languages, he trained his power to the highest degree it could be at the time every time he aged up. He grew smarter, so he made new inventions. He wanted to be in zones that weren't possible in the realm of reality that he knew, so he made an invention that portrayed multiple realities and trained his speed and attacks there. He created new Levels to test himself, tasks to push himself. He trained in the ice caps, the savannahs, the jungles, and even the volcanoes of the world simply because he wasn't afraid.

He was never afraid of what he could do.

He embraced his culture, embraced the peace of it all, took the hand of freedom and kept it to himself and traveled the world knowing that he would be free as the wind. He met all kinds of people, both good and bad, and befriended them, befriended nearly everyone. He never once thought about what life could have been, he was never losing sleep over it.

Because his life now was as good as any.

He would never lose sleep over the fact that he never had parents to look after him or the fact that he had no guidance to do something that is good or bad, because he taught it all to himself. He was okay; he was happy; he was free.

But he never lost that spark.

The spark that told him to be someone that saves someone else, even at the expense of himself. He saved people of all kinds and always was thankful. He wasn't an official hero, just a normal citizen who never got caught doing a hero's job for them. He saved people simply because he wanted to, and even though it wasn't his job and he wasn't getting paid for it, he still did it with a smile on his face. He saw how the Hero Industry was now, most people did it for money and fame, there weren't a lot of true heroes out there for him to enjoy watching repeatedly.

Captain Celebrity was just in it for the fame, even if he was a former Number 1 Hero, Izuku had never liked him or his lifestyle.

Endeavor was another example, just wanting to be number one. Being a hero isn't just about being the strongest or the fastest or number 1, it is about saving people and doing it well. Why even be a hero if you are not respected by your peers or the populace itself, honestly it is just a big waste of potential to have one of the Top Heroes of the world be a total jerkass and a human without a heart. He heard that in the past few years however he was changing.

All Might was nice, yes, and he had the same mentality as him, but everyone liked All Might. He didn't have a fanatical obsession with him like everyone in the world did; he was just glad All Might was doing his Job and doing it well.

Now Hawkeye and Green Arrow, he could respect. Both were symbols to the quirkless, both were great at what they do and both do it well. Both are beloved by the population and honestly didn't get the love they deserved when compared to All Might. Some quirks didn't even do anything, and suddenly people had the gall to trash on the quirkless population. It was only now that they were getting the respect they deserved, and it is because of those two, so they deserved all the respect in the world in his opinion.

But the one he found the most similarities with was Quicksilver, a man he truly respected. He had super speed and saved everyone that he could, and was universally recognized as America's top hero after Captain Celebrity bailed. Quicksilver was beloved by everyone everywhere almost as much as All Might. He was a man that earned his reputation.

He had wanted to be a hero all his life, wanted to save the populace even if they didn't know of him and his accomplishments, he didn't really care about what it meant for him, he knew they wouldn't catch him, unless Quicksilver tried to lock him up for a "good deed."

So he trained for the day he could go through the world with no one stopping him and his way to his satisfaction.

(Play Green Hill Zone- Modern Version)

Izuku arrived at one of his favorite natural spots to train at. The unknown Green Hill Zone on an island near Japan.

"Green Hill is always a pleasure to go through, no matter the time or day."

He boosted through points, jumped across platforms made by him to challenge his parkour skills, homing attacked through different size rocks to show his progression.

Everything was running smoothly.

Nezu didn't know anyone that knew what this island had actually entailed. This island was one of the few that humanity had left alone in their entire history. This island was a natural habitat to so many animals. He had always known of the island and had traveled there multiple times to take in the natural sense of the surrounding island. So when he sees a blue blur go through the island, he is agitated beyond belief.

Someone found the island, the freedom that this island has had is over. It's all over for the animals.

Then he sees no cut down trees, and no animals killed or hurt. In fact, they are still thriving and living. He had thought most of them would have been driven off their land already by the human that was here, and he just sees the blue blur run and run through Green Hill, captivated by its speed and precision. The Blur stops in front of him and the Helicopter he had arrived in. He sees a teen, around the same age as All Might's daughter, Nozomi. 5'7, a little tan, Blue Hair with Black highlights, green glasses above his eyes and a large wristband with a charge on it.

"Hello Nezu, principal of U.A, I didn't know that you know of this island, I thought its natural beauty was hidden to the world."

"Hello there, young human. I am Nezu, the principal of U.A. How you knew that, I have no idea young man, but I too enjoy the anonymity of this island and the natural beauty as I have traveled here many times before. What's your name, young man?"

"My name is Izuku, Izuku Akatani."

"This boy, Izuku Akatani, he said his name was, is an outlier." Nezu thought to himself. "His name is Japanese, but he looks so unique, and his quirk looks strong. He has an aura of confidence around him, but not the sense of arrogance like I see around people like Endeavor or Mt. Lady. He has the same aura as All Might, which is astounding. I need to test him."

"¿Cómo encontraste esta isla?" (How did you find this island)

"Tengo una peculiaridad de velocidad y puedo correr sobre el agua. Entonces viajé alrededor del océano y encontré esta belleza." (I have a speed quirk, and I can run over water. So I traveled around the ocean and found this beauty)

"Qual é o nome da sua peculiaridade?" (What is the name of your quirk)

"Eu chamei de Caos." ( I named it Chaos)

"Avez-vous envie d'être un héros?" (Do you have an urge to be a hero)

"J'ai toujours aimé les héros et j'ai toujours voulu en être un quoi qu'il arrive." (I have always loved heroes, and I have always wanted to be one no matter what)

"This kid," Nezu was impressed. "I thought he was smart, but that was astounding. Most adults couldn't understand multiple languages, and he got all of them down seamlessly and spoke fluently in each one. He also had a great quirk, powerful enough to be a hero. I just need to know his intentions, but with the gleam in his eye, I think I already have my answer." Nezu then asked him,

"Why do you want to be a hero, Izuku Akatani?"

Izuku then stared at Nezu with a blinding smile on his face and said,

"I want to be a hero for the people, I take pride in saving people from a worse fate and doing it with a smile on my face and courage in my heart. I have no fears and will spring into battle if it means saving lives or spring into a volcano if it means saving a person, and I have done that before."

"He has it, that spark that I always saw in the greatest heroes. I saw it in All Might, in LeMillion, and now I see it in this young man." Nezu then smiled at Izuku and said to him,

"Young man, you will be a great hero."

Izuku smiled with tears in his eyes. And that is when Nezu knew he would do great things in this world.

"What did you mean by you jumped into a volcano to save someone?"

"Well, the story goes like this..."

Izuku told Nezu everything he had done in his life up to that point. The stories were all captivating and insane. Him jumping into a volcano, running through the Everglades and multiple biomes some humans would dare not enter. He had no fear in his heart. Nezu then asked about the wristband. He told him it was a gravity repulsor that switches his gravity and propels him (Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity). Nezu then asked about the other inventions Izuku had made in the past. The Reality Simulator, the Dimensional Expander in his bag, the Extreme Gear that he had shown off. It was amazing what this child could do; he was a prodigy like no other. Izuku told Nezu of all the things he wants to introduce to the world, such as an Extreme Gear Tournament, Dimensional Expanders to help everyone's household so they can all have living space. He then showed off his music that he had made, some skills with his quirk and the power he contained.

He was a Number One Hero in the making.

It was 6 hours later at the sunset when Nezu had asked these words,

"Young man, would you like to come to U.A?"

Izuku was shell-shocked, he didn't know what to say.

"B.. BUT THAT IS THE BIGGEST HERO SCHOOL IN THE WORLD. WHY DO YOU WANT ME THERE?!"

"Young man, you are one of the greatest prodigies I have seen in a long time. Some heroes now don't hold a candle to the amount of precision your attacks contain, and the amount of power you have, nor the creativity you possess. That along with your intelligence and great mind when it comes to inventions. You have a one of a kind mind, a one of a kind goal, and the makings of an era-defining person, not just a hero. Your music, your inventions, your power, your passion, you can be the most influential person in the world, and to top it all off, your potential is limitless."

Izuku had nothing to say, but the tears in his eye that dripped down his cheeks said it all. He was proud, proud of the words Nezu said, proud of everything that he did, and Nezu put that into perspective for him. Nezu was one of the most intellectual things on Earth, and if he said so, then Izuku knows he can.

"How would I even get into U.A. Mr. Nezu? I didn't submit my chance to enter for the entrance exams and I don't think I could get recommended by a hero in time."

"Nonsense child, I will just recommend you to the school, with your smarts you will no doubt get in."

"But how would my recommendation go, how would I show myself off to you and the school?"

"With me, you have no problem, but the recommendations are decided by a coalition of heroes and the Association. They decide if you get in or not. Since you are being recommended right now, I will put it in and you will show yourself off at the Entrance Exams to not just me, but the teachers, students, and Heroes as well. You will show your potential there, and they will have no choice but to accept you."

"Mr. Nezu sir, I don't know what to say, but truly from the bottom of my heart, Thank You for this amazing opportunity."

"No worries, young Izuku, live your free life to the fullest and don't stop when you go to school. Being free isn't just about living your life, it's about the choices you make to keep yourself free and the roads you can cover in the time we live. When we are free, we have multiple journeys ahead of us, and we never stop until we take every single one we can go on, and for some of us, the journeys never stop."

Nezu goes to his helicopter and leaves, ready to tell Japan about a new rising star, and as he flies away, he sees a blue blur run across the sea...

Looking As Free As The Wind

(2 Days Later)

Shota Aizawa was a tired man, that's all he had ever shown. That he was tired and always wanted to sleep. He always had a sleeping bag on hand and never parted with it. He was just done with life.

He was also a Hardass

He had expelled his last class simply because they didn't show any potential to be a hero. They didn't know what to do, how to do it, and thought being a hero was fun.

Being a hero was not about fun

If anyone said being a hero was fun to him, he would have smacked them across the face no matter how tired he was. He hated when people thought of it as a fun job. Being a hero was serious, being a hero was about being patient, saving someone even if they lost their life, stopping natural disasters, stopping villains from homicide, rape, kidnapping, drug use, abuse.

Being a hero was serious

He appreciated the people who took it seriously. He appreciated the underground hero community, who took everything seriously. He appreciated his friends, Hizashi Yamada (Present Mic), Nemuri Kayama (Midnight), Sekijiro Kan (Vlad King), Ken Ishiyama (Cementoss), Higari Maijima (Power Loader), Chiyo Shuzenji (Recovery Girl), Snipe and Ectoplasm for taking heroics at the school seriously, but he is glad that Principal Nezu took heroics seriously. But when Principal Nezu brought up his own recommendation, he is interested in the prospect, as is everyone else at the meeting to decide recommendation students.

"So the finalized recommendation students are: Shoto Todoroki, Momo Yayourozu, Setsuna Tokage, and Juzo Honeuki, which classes will they be going into." Aizawa says to Nezu.

"Actually Aizawa, I think I have one more interesting student to add to the pile after Inasa Yoarashi decided that he wants to go to Shiketsu High School." Nezu said to the tired man.

He then pulls up a flash drive and a picture of Izuku holding his extreme gear with a Thumb Up enters the projection.

"This here is Izuku Akatani, my recommendation to U.A. High."

The Teachers were stunned, Nezu had never really taken an interest in someone that he had met outside his position as Principal. Aizawa narrowed his eyes at the picture and then asked,

"Just into U.A, not for any courses?"

"Caught onto that did you Aizawa, and that is what I'm here to discuss with you. Young Izuku is someone I met outside of Japan and he is someone who I feel could become the first Joint course student of UA History."

Now Aizawa was interested. He sat straight up, something he almost never did in meetings as every teacher looked at Nezu with interest in their eyes as Nezu held a grin as he looked at them. Aizawa then asked that everyone at the meeting wanted to know.

"So you think he has potential to go into not only the Hero Course, but also the support course besides that?"

"Oh no, not only the Hero and Support courses, but also the First Aid course added onto that."

Now Shuzenji was interested, as she had always looked for more students to take underneath her wing as a healer, but none really had any healing quirks, so she was at U.A. for a long time looking for someone to train.

Maijima was focused on the extreme gear that Izuku held. Hoverboards have never really been attempted before, and he was excited at the prospect of teaching this young man. He also paid attention to the wristband/ring Izuku had on his wrist and saw a battery attached to it and wondered about the uses of it.

Aizawa was now fully interested as his grin appeared. Nezu was never this interested in a potential student before, he must've been fully impressed by this Izuku Akatani and Nezu is never impressed easily. If this Izuku meets Aizawa's standards, he'll be sure to put him under his wing.

Kan was also paying attention to the presentation now. For years he had been teaching at UA but never got the top prospects like Aizawa did, and he would pay much attention to what Nezu says about this teen.

"Izuku Akatani is a prodigy like none I have ever met when it comes to his craft. He is a genius to put it simply. He knows multiple languages and speaks them fluently, has traveled the world multiple times over in his short life, has an amazing quirk and has amazing control of it for someone of his age, has amazing reflexes and battle instincts, he is a genius inventor and strategist/analyst and to top it all off has skill in first aid and can heal his injuries using either items he has or makeshift items that he can find the materials for. He is essentially a Jack-Of-All-Trades, and his potential is limitless. His passion for heroics also can't be faulted, as he takes it very seriously like you Aizawa but also wants to save as many people as he can. He told me of a story where he jumped into a volcano to save someone, and I researched this event and found evidence of his word being true if anyone wants to dispute it. He has an aura of confidence around him, like other top heroes do. He is simply one of the best prospects I have ever seen enter the world of heroism."

The Teachers were more and more attentive to every word Nezu had said about this teen. Aizawa for one was already pleased, the kid had the same mentality as him, that's always a plus. They all had their own questions, and Aizawa began the question spree with what everyone wanted to ask first.

"What is his quirk?"

"His quirk is one of the most versatile ones I've seen in a while. He dubbed it 'Chaos.'"

"Chaos, why would he name it something like that?" Kayama has asked.

"He dubbed it Chaos because of the beginning of his life not being the best. His quirk allows him to produce energy all around him, inside and outside of his body. He can use this energy for multiple purposes such as super speed, energy attacks for every range and defenses such as energy shields and winds. It also has no weaknesses as he never gets tired using his power and it never takes a toll on his body, giving him many things to creatively do with his quirk."

Aizawa was pleased. This is what he was waiting for! Finally, a teen that took heroics seriously and knew what he was doing, he wanted Izuku Akatani in his heroics class no matter what.

Kan was also pleased. This was the kid he could teach to new heights instead of Aizawa. This kid had unlimited potential with his quirk, and his creativity with his power would be off the charts.

Maijima then asked about the inventions he had on his person.

"Nezu, what are those inventions he has with him in that picture?"

"The Hoverboard he has in his arms is called the Extreme Gear. He uses it as a hoverboard to get places in which quirks are banned and he uses it in multiple places for his own uses such as travel and testing. The Extreme Gear is quick, and he plans on introducing a tournament for them in the future. The wristband he has is called the Gravity Repulsor, and he uses it to disrupt gravity in an area and propel himself using his extreme gear or his speed. He has many more inventions that I know of that will make you drool more than you already are Maijima, but I'll save those for the Recommendation Exam for him." Nezu said with a shit-eating grin.

Maijima couldn't keep the excitement off of his face. This student was a genius, there was no question about it. His inventions were already mind-shattering and if he made these with no help, imagine what he could do with help. Akatani would be the biggest inventor in the world.

Shuzenji then asked her question. "How does he heal people and how did he learn his skills and hone it?"

Nezu gave her a sly smirk and told her, "He taught himself everything he knew. He left his foster family at 4 years old and learned everything on his own. How to read, how to write, how to add and subtract. He read dictionaries, he read math books, he read geography notes and textbooks, he read science books, he learned quadratics, functions, biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and even astronomy and anatomy. He can heal using his chaos power (don't know if Sonic or Shadow can actually do this, but Chaos is already broken so I'm rolling with it), and can make makeshift items to heal using ointment and has learned where all major organs, vital points and pressure points lie within the body."

Shuzenji was drooling with excitement. This Izuku really was a Jack-Of-All-Trade. He taught everything to himself and still came out a prodigy in the end. Who knows how good he'll be in actual school. Everyone then winced as Yamada said, or rather screamed,

"HOW WOULD JOINT COURSES EVEN WORK? THERE WOULD BE WAY TOO MUCH WORK ON HIS PLATE! WOULDN'T HE GET TOO STRESSED OUT BY IT ALL?!"

Aizawa then looked at him and scowled and hit him on the head.

"Will you shut up, he was about to explain it to us. But yeah, Nezu, how would it work as I think the work would be too much."

"I will explain that, and it's no problem Yamada. As for how it is going to work, he will take his recommended exam on the same day as the Entrance Exams where I plan to delay them while he shows off to the people taking the test. We will let him show off so that the kids there will be more excited to go into the exams. As for classes, he will take part in both Class 1-A and 1-B heroic training."

Aizawa and Kan were confused, why both and not one or the other. They looked at each other and saw the same confused look, then looked at Nezu and saw the same grin.

"The reason I'm having him work with both classes is to show that there will be no rivalry between the two classes if they are sharing a student. I have seen in the past rivalries between the two classes, and I will not tolerate it any longer. You both will teach young Izuku what you want to teach him and getting him to interact with both classes will open the door to both classes being on amicable terms. Does that sound good?"

Both nodded, Aizawa saw it as an interesting prospect. He never really paid attention to the rivalry between classes, as it didn't matter to him, as he was too tired to deal with it.

Kan was ecstatic, though. Finally, a rivalry won't be born! He could teach this student everything he needed to know.

"Now as for everyone, prepare for the next 10 months. On that day, a new era will begin. We have Young Izuku, All Might's daughter Nozomi, Endeavor's other son Shoto, most likely Ingenium's brother Tenya Iida, the Yayourozu Family's own Momo and many more exciting prospects coming our way, as well the future heroes we are nursing here. We need to go beyond."

"Plus Ultra!"

Izuku arrived in Tokyo a month later, looking around the big city he had never visited since he left Japan and never looked back. He saw the headlines.

"All Might defeats Slime Monster, saves innocent teen from Certain Death."

The video shows All Might punching a villain so hard; it changes the weather. Izuku just shrugged. Nothing he hadn't done before. He walked around till he saw a train station, and went to the Train that took him to where UA High was located, Mustafu.

He hopped on the train and listened to some music. He then arrived in Mustafu and just walked around soaking in the air, feeling at peace with himself and his power. He then arrived at the apartment he had paid for after taking a long stroll around the city.

He placed all of his belongings into the closet and installed all of his music systems into the plugs and all of his gaming systems into the TV he installed before hopping into the bed of his expanded room because of the Dimension Expander.

He looked up at the ceiling to see a painting of birds flying into the sun. He just smiled. They were free, just like him. He felt free; he felt content in life; he was happy.

"I love my life so much. I Would change absolutely nothing about it."

Izuku then went to sleep, knowing that he will work his ass off to get into U.A. Only the top gets to go there, and he will get in.

"Let the Wind guide you, and it will take you to your next destination."
