Do the title and summary ring you a bell about one of the most romantic songs in V-day? Yes, inspired by Owl City's Enchanted cover, my mind suddenly drifted off my currently favorite pairing, AkayaAn! x3 Have I told you that Adam Young is brilliantly sweet? Replying Taylor Swift's song with the same song is just... brilliantly sweet, right? :D
This is told from An's perspective first, 1/2 part of the story :)

She never believed time could change someone until she met him.
Those mesmerizing green eyes, they were not like she remembered before. On the jam-packed train to her house, he looked outstanding, as though he was the only one colored among monochrome people and surrounding, especially a pair of his jade green orbs.
Is that... Kirihara Akaya?
She blinked. Once. Twice. She shook her head slightly, her now shoulder-length orange hair swaying back and forth. He did look different.
In a surprising way, because 'good' was just not enough.
His body turned out to be more well-built, and incredibly tall, even when he was sitting. His black seaweed curls looked majestically touchable; she somehow was convinced those wavy strands might feel silky. His expression, the devil-may-care one, gave her an urge to smile.
She bit her lower lip. Few seconds ago, she cursed–something that she rarely did. The crowd, fully occupant seats, and just overall vibe of the train insisted her to stand, hand clutching the handrail. A yawn escaped from her mouth as boredom struck. Her watch displayed seven o'clock in the afternoon. Why did it feel so far and so long to get to Kanagawa? She and Kippei now went to Seishun High, still devoted to tennis, still keeping contact with almost every one, including having friendly matches and competing in the next level. Their next rival was, guess, Rikkai Dai. So it was a surprise to find one of its tennis club members boarding here from Tokyo. She was sure her 'tennis study' plan was secretive.
She sneaked a glance again. Propping his cheek on a hand in the windowsill, he stared nonchalantly to blurry street lights outside. How was he different now? What made him glow and so prominently seen? Two years flew by, but apart from his height, she didn't catch any significant change. Perhaps it was the unexpected softness that outlined him like fairy dust. Perhaps it's his promise to change that he uttered after they reconciled. Or perhaps it came from his maturity, which added shines on his eyes or his wakame head... She didn't know. Then she guessed she didn't need that. She smiled, shrugged, and continued keeping an eye on him once in a while.
The boy turned so his side head leaned against the window. His eyes still watched the twilight sky. Dawn came down and washed away light colors from the sun, creating more deep, rich hues in purples and blues. Now she wished the trip was a bit longer.
The train stopped at the next station, jerking her a bit. After regaining her balance, she scanned the whole carriage, seeking him. He was bending down from the sudden jolt. Then, he rubbed his eyes, and that moment happened.
Those emeralds laid on her honey irises.
A second, two seconds…
She turned her head quickly before he could see her blushing. Her heart thumped—how come a guy who had sent his own brother to hospital fastened her heart rate? They had made amends about that, but still. The erratic melody in her chest produced a strange feeling. He was not like this. It was all wrong. He was Kirihara Akaya, for Heaven's sake. A Rikkai Dai's student. A school team foe. A... someone.
Did he keep looking? She silently hoped for it, actually. She gripped the handrail more tightly, still sensing his green eyes staring at her, through the crowd, but no. This was not how it was supposed to be.
But then, what was? Did she just forget what was between them after they made up, and denied it, and now she witnessed it firsthand that people changed like he has changed?
And she believed it, because it indeed was true.
That night, on the train to Kanagawa from Tokyo, beneath the starry, sparkling sky, Tachibana An had to admit something.
She was enchanted.
