Chapter 38

Goddess of War and the Calamity Witch Part 4 (Final)

"Archbishop, sir!" one of the Cult members call out to a slightly obese man with gray hair at the sides and a mustache. He is wearing a white robe as well. "We found what we've been looking for! It's that Calamity Witch again!"

"Heh, heh, heh~" the archbishop chuckles. "Very good. It won't be long now. Once she is here in this world long enough, she will be too weak to resist me, Jack Nelson. I have long awaited for this~!"

"Tell me, sir," his minion says. "What is it that you are planning here?"

"Oh, it's very simple, really~" Jack turns toward his minion with an evil smile. "Aurora is a demon from 1000 years ago. She's an all powerful being in her own dimension that caused chaos and destruction. I want to see that power again once we have caught her alive! And then, her power will be ALL MINE~! HAHAHAHAHA!"

This archbishop is indeed a madman that joined the Cult for who knows how long ago that was. When he heard about Aurora's story and her ultimate power, he has dreamed to use that power to rule over the Red Light District, maybe the whole world if he wanted to. Now that he has found her in the open, he plans to weaken her first. And he knows that she's not in her own dimension, which means some serious consequences for her.

"It won't be long now~" Jack rubs his hands together, an evil grin still plastered on his face. "You guys prepare the machine to capture this beast. I will handle the rest~"

"Yes, archbishop sir!" the minion salutes and dashes out of the room.

Jack chuckles again. His plan is beginning to take form.

**Meanwhile**

It's been about a week since Aurora has got accustomed to the Red Light District and Shadow Garden. But even as she is having so much fun getting to know the real world, she HAS to go back to her own dimension sooner rather than later. Her power is depleting slowly, but thanks to drinking the special elixir every now and then, she is able to hold on for just a bit longer. But…since the week has been going by, it's nearly empty. Alpha just has to be very careful not to use the last of it just in case things get ugly.

Right now, Eta is working on a large machine to at least help Aurora get to her own dimension without having the Calamity Witch rely on her power to do it. She got some of the DNA from Aurora because it is needed to actually work. Once that was taken care of, Eta and a few others began to get to work on the machine. And it's almost done since a week has gone by. Her assistants, mainly Gamma and her elven servants, have been working extra hard, even working over night on some days. It might be complete by tonight.

Today, Alpha and Aurora are walking along the bridge that afternoon and the Calamity Witch walks toward the edge and looks over to see the gently flowing river. She lets out a soft sigh, enjoying hearing the sound of the flowing waters as Alpha herself smiles a soft smile. She knows it's sad to see Aurora go after getting to know her for a while. But this is for the best.

"Aurora," Alpha says as she approaches her, standing by the witch's side and resting her arms on the railing.

"Alpha~" Aurora's gentle voice is heard. "This has been…I cannot even describe how happy this makes me. Making new memories like this."

"Will you be able to come and visit?" Alpha asks. "I mean, with your power and all…"

"I'm not sure, myself," Aurora replies, looking down at the river. "I would love to visit this world again. But…" She looks down at her necklace. "There must be a way for me not to worry about having to overuse my powers."

"I…haven't thought that far ahead," Alpha says, sadly. "But…when the time comes, I guess we will let you know if you manage to visit this world again."

Aurora smiles and glances at the river again before turning to face Alpha again. "In case things happen…I want to thank you…for being so supportive. You and the rest of Shadow Garden have been so kind to me, helping me get well again and showing me the real world. This week has been…the best I have had. I am sure to keep those precious memories with me for as long as I live."

Alpha smiles as well. "We will remember you for as long as we live as well. You are…so precious to us Shadow Garden. It's a miracle that some of us are smart enough to help you recover."

"And I'm very grateful for that," Aurora giggles. "So thank you very much for keeping me alive~"

Alpha giggles as well. It is then that Aurora approaches the fearless leader and embraces her. A bit surprised by this, but the blond elf doesn't mind in the slightest. She returns the gentle embrace, stroking the Calamity Witch's very long dark violet hair.

"I wanted…to make this another precious memory…." Aurora whispers, resting her head on Alpha's chest. "To be hugged by the ones closest to me. You are one of them…Alpha…"

"Oh, Aurora," Alpha whispers back, hugging the witch a bit more tightly. "I'm more than happy to make this another precious memory for you. As much memories as you want before you leave…"

"Thank you…Alpha…" Aurora closes her eyes, sighing with bliss.

Alpha closes her eyes as well, enjoying this lovely moment between them.

**That Night**

The time has come. The Machine is finished and is placed in the middle of the district so that all of Shadow Garden can see her off. With the Seven Shades clad in their signature slime bodysuits, plus the eye masks, Aurora stands in front of a large machine that has a big circle in the middle and the controls are at the right side of it. There are red dots that surround the circle that are flashing. Eta is at the controls, pressing a few buttons and pulling levers.

"Just…a few more…minutes…to warm up…" the mad scientist says.

Alpha turns toward the Calamity Witch, holding out her hand. "Well…this is it. Are you ready?"

"More than ready," Aurora gently takes Alpha's hand. "I cannot believe I'm saying good-bye to all of you. This is…actually sad."

"Quite sad, indeed," Alpha says. "But…we will see each other again, if you want to."

"Yes! I would like that very much~!" Aurora says. Once she lets go of Alpha's hand, she turns to the rest of the members.

Beta is the first to step up. "We had so much fun together, talking about my novels and reading together. I hope we can do that again when you come visit~"

"Your books are outstanding," Aurora says. "You keep up the good work~" She reaches out her hand and pets the adorable author with the silver haired elf giggling.

Gamma is up next. "Your visit to Mitsugoshi was a pleasure. I cannot thank you enough how you tried on my latest additions. Thong underwear, lingerie, even some leather clothing."

"Hehe! Your products were a blessing to wear~" Aurora says to the billionaire. "One day, I may want to buy those products of yours. Trying on new clothing was very fun~"

"I hope to show you some more products soon~" Gamma says, happily clasping her hands together.

Delta hops over toward Aurora, her tail wagging wildly and her ears twitching. "Delta is happy you went hunting with me that day! Oh, you watched me right? How I jumped on that large bear and I took it down with my bare hands. And then we ate together afterwards out in the wilderness. It was a blast~!"

"It was like having my own pet~" Aurora giggles and pets the dog beast-kin. "Thank you for showing me what it's like to hunt. I never knew about beast-kins until today."

"Ehehehe! I'm so happy-nanodesu~!" Delta says.

Aurora then turns to Epsilon, who slowly approaches the Calamity Witch. "My dear, Epsilon~"

"Uhhh…other than the fact that you saw my wonderful piano performance," the pig-tailed elf says as she slightly looks away, covering her bodysuit clad chest. "Well…uhhh…"

"Ufufu~! No worries," Aurora giggles. "Despite your appearance, you play piano well. The music was like a caress to my ears. I see you've been practicing lots and lots. I hope to hear another piece someday~"

Epsilon nods and gets petted by the Calamity Witch. She turns to the cat beast-kin, who lowers her cat ears and shyly approaches her.

"I may not have done much with you, Zeta~" Aurora says. "But being with you was more than enough, other than watching you conquer missions and taking your cat naps."

"It…was an honor, really," Zeta says. "I hope to do this stuff with you again soon."

"Certainly~!" Aurora says. Then she turns to the last member, who is doing some minor adjustments. She walks over toward the mad scientist. "And lastly, you, Eta~"

"Hmmmm?" Eta lazily looks up at the Calamity Witch. "Almost…there."

"Ufufufu. Well, I'll make it quick, don't worry~" Aurora says. "You showed me some wonderful inventions and medicine you made. Your elixir even saved my life. I thank you for that~"

"No problem…" Eta says. "Research….definitely pays off…"

"Ufufu~! I look forward to more of your lovely inventions, soon~" Aurora pets the mad scientist, making the purplenette blush.

Eta shakes her head and types something and presses a large button. "We are ready…"

The inside of the large circle glows red and it swirls around a little bit before a big glowing red triangle pops out with strange patters surrounding it. Aurora stares in awe as she knows that's the exact way to go home. She turns to Shadow Garden with a smile. She wants to see their faces one last time before leaving. However, Beatrix rushes up to the Calamity Witch to grab her wrist.

"Wait!" the platinum haired elf says. "Don't tell me you forgot me!"

"Ufufu~! Oh, silly me~" Aurora giggles. "Of course, Auntie Beatrix. I will say good-bye to you as well~" She turns to face the Goddess of War, hands on her lap. "I cannot thank you enough for making these precious memories for me. Those burgers were delicious and the cake was simply divine. I had a very good time with you for the past few days. I wish I could taste another burger~"

"It's no problem," Beatrix says. "Well…you know…there's something I want to tell you before you leave. It's…something I have hidden quite well since I met you."

"Oh~?" Aurora says. "And what is that, Auntie Beatrix~?" She leans closer with a smirk.

"W-well…" Beatrix blushes and taps her index fingers together. "The truth is…Aurora…I really…"

BOOM!

"KYA!" Eta squeaks as she gets pushed back by the shockwave of the blast.

"Eta!" Alpha cries and then look at the machine. A large arrow has been shot and it was directed toward the controls. The portal starts flashing on and off.

Electricity starts surging through, causing it to malfunction. More arrows fly, hitting the machine until it no longer operates. The portal disappears.

"NO!" Alpha cries. "That was her only way to-"

Just then, a giant net flies over and tries to capture Aurora. The Calamity Witch quickly evades and the net goes flat on the ground. She quickly turns her head to see hooded men with launchers that shoot out nets and then an obese man dressed in a black bodysuit with red colors around him. He chuckles evilly.

"Finally, we caught you, Calamity Witch~" Jack Nelson says.

"Who are you…?" Aurora says. "What do you want to do with me!?"

"The only thing I want…is your power. I, Jack Nelson, have dreamed of this day to see your ultimate power~" the archbishop says. "After I claim it, I will be the most powerful being of all of Red Light District, even the whole world~!"

"So you are part of the cult!" Alpha says. "You want to capture Aurora when others were unable to!"

"Correct," Jack says as he pulls out a large sword in his hand. "You Shadow Garden ladies are a bane of my existence for far too long. Once I get rid of you, Aurora's power will be mine. And all will bow down to the Cult~!" He turns to his men. "Alright, lads! Have at her!"

"Right, sir!" The three men launch more nets to try and capture Aurora.

The Calamity Witch evades each and every one of them and tries to run away. Jack grins as he raises his sword.

"Oh, no you don't~!" He slams his sword down, sending red flames trailing toward the Calamity Witch.

The flames hit Aurora, making her cry out in pain and then fall on the ground, face down. Alpha gasps and summons her slime sword to try and take this guy down. But a net is shot and captures Alpha, stopping her in her tracks.

"Alpha-sama!" The rest of Shadow Garden try to rush in to aid their leader, but the army of hooded men rush in front of them, blocking their path.

"Heh, heh, heh~!" Jack chuckles evilly. "My plan is working~! Now to get that Witch to claim her as mine!"

Aurora panics as she gets to her feet and tries to run. But another man jumps in front of her and shoots the net at her, capturing her. Aurora starts to struggle to break free, but the netting is way too strong. She looks up at Jack approaching her and glares at him with gritted teeth.

"You'll never…get away with this…!" Aurora growls.

"Oh, I already have~" Jack says as he pulls out a small remote. "These nets are special. Once I press this button, it's all over for you. Think of this as a shock treatment, only the pain will be excruciating~"

"No!" Alpha summons all of her strength to break out of the netting and charge at Jack with her sword.

"Nighty Night~" Jack presses the button and electricity surges through Aurora's body.

The Calamity Witch cries out in pain, arching her back in the process.

"Aurora!" Alpha cries and charges at the archbishop.

Jack uses one hand to parry Alpha's attacks back and forth and then kicks her away to create distance. But the blonde elf rolls back up to charge at him the second time, but the hooded men get in front of her, weapons and guns ready. Beatrix hops over Alpha and draws out her katana to slice them all down with one swing. Jack chuckles and presses the button again to hurt Aurora even more.

"Come any closer and the Calamity Witch is history!" he says.

"You first!" Beatrix growls as she charges at the archbishop.

"Your loss~" Jack raises his sword and summons red flames again to shoot at the Goddess of War.

Beatrix hops to the side to evade, but the flames quickly follow and knock her off her feet. She falls on her back, groaning. Aurora, meanwhile, is struggling to get up. She's been hit by the electricity so much she's weakening quickly. Jack grins evilly as he turns to the Calamity Witch.

"Looks like it's time~" He puts the remote away and puts his hand out, palm open. "Your power is mine…mine to command!" He shoots a red beam at Aurora, making her scream in pain and then she falls over, unconscious.

His suits red spots glow brightly as he can feel power surge through him. "Yes. Yeeessss! It's incredible!" Red flames surround him and he pumps his fists high. His power has increased tremendously. "I have never felt so alive! Hahahaha!"

"AURORA!" Shadow Garden chorus in worry.

"What~? You worried about her now~?" Jack says. "Don't be. Because the Aurora you know doesn't exist anymore! I've taken her power, but I also have her at my side. Do you really think I'd kill her~?"

Alpha's eyes widen in shock. "Wh-what…!?"

"Here, see for yourself!" Jack removes the netting and Aurora slowly gets to her feet, her bangs hiding her expression. "Aurora, get rid of them all!"

The Calamity Witch raises her head, revealing her visible eye being empty. No, her pupil is small. She doesn't say anything, but the look on her face definitely spells evil. She raises her hands and summons a red glowing electric ball. She thrusts her hands forward and shoots it at Shadow Garden and Beatrix like they are bowling pins. A strike. All of them fall to the ground hard and try to recover. Aurora doesn't give them a chance. She waves her arms up and summons large beams that burst from the ground, hitting the girls even harder. Jack laughs evilly, seeing Shadow Garden fall by the hands of his puppet.

"Yeeeesss~" He says. "You are indeed strong, Aurora~"

The mind controlled Calamity Witch slowly turns to her master.

"Now, show me even MORE of your power!" Jack says. "Summon the demon Diablos!"

Alpha gasps at this. She cannot believe how Jack is using Aurora like this. The Calamity Witch points her hands at the ground and a giant red triangle appears from below her. A giant hand appears and then another. The ground shakes as a giant head appears from the big portal. Soon, a giant creature appears before Shadow Garden. It's eyes are red and it's massive appearance is scary looking to all, including Alpha.

"He can…do such a thing…!?" Beta says.

"We have to stop him!" Gamma says. "But we also have to stop that monster!"

"How can we do that!?" Epsilon says. "All of us cannot take Aurora down because she's much too powerful now! And let alone this Jack person!"

"I'll battle this archbishop," Beatrix says as she draws her katana again. "He'll be a distraction if all of us take on one thing."

"No, Gamma and I will try and get Aurora back to her senses," Alpha says, gesturing toward herself. "The rest of you try and defeat this freak. Aunt Beatrix will be no match against him by herself."

"Alpha, it will have to take ALL of you," Beatrix says. "This demon is much too big for the two of you to conquer. I can handle this. I'm not called the Goddess of War for nothing."

The demon fires red beams, destroying a row of houses, causing fires and the innocents running for their lives. Beatrix grips her sword and turns to her niece.

"Get it together!" she shouts. "We don't have much time! Either I take him down or you can! But we have to act fast or Aurora's going to destroy everything!"

Alpha thinks about it for a moment. It is then that she remembers the very last moment before they got ambushed. She closes her eyes and walks up to her aunt, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Aunt Beatrix…go to Aurora," Alpha says.

"What!?" Beatrix is quite shocked about her niece's decision.

"You wanted to tell her something important, right?" Alpha says. "At the very least, you should be the one that should help come to her senses. We will take that archbishop down."

"Are you sure?" Beatrix asks. "He could obliterate you again. I don't want to lose you again."

"I'll be fine," Alpha smiles. "Remember what I said? I'm the leader of Shadow Garden. Nothing can stop me."

Beatrix thinks about it for a moment and then sighs. "Alright. You win. But be careful, Alpha. I hope you know what you're doing."

"I do know what I'm doing," Alpha says.

Beatrix nods and dashes off toward the monster. Alpha turns to her beloved members.

"Come on, ladies! Let's show him!" the blonde elf says.

"YEAH!" The rest of the Shades chorus.

"BRING IT!" Jack growls.

"With pleasure!" Alpha says and she points her sword forward to order her members to charge.

The 6 of them separate while Alpha charges straight ahead. Jack slams his flaming sword on the ground, sending red flames straight at the blonde elf. Alpha jumps over it and reaches Jack and slashes him. He stumbles back, but recovers quickly. Both of them clash blades back and forth with sparks flying with each hit. Alpha ducks and dodges and backflips from each swing from the archbishop. They clash blades again and lean in close, staring daggers at one another.

"You think you can take on the great Jack Nelson!?" he growls and shoves the blonde elf away. "Think again!"

Alpha backflips to her feet, down on one knee. She raises her head. "NOW!"

"Now…WHAT!?" Jack shouts.

"Let's get him!" Gamma commands.

From all sides, Jack is surrounded by the other 6 Shadow girls. All around him, they attack left, right, up and down and around, striking at him like hornets surrounding their prey. Jack is unable to do anything due to their super speed and hits from their weapons. It is then that Eta takes out a vial filled with chemicals and chucks it at Jack. When it hits him, he is engulfed in flames. He screams in pain as he drops his sword, flailing about as he gets burned. Alpha hops high in the air, sword raised up.

"Time to end this!" Alpha cries. "HIYAAAAAAAHHHH!" Screaming a battle cry, she slashes downward with a blue glow on her sword. She strikes Jack with all her might, a blue explosion bursting upon impact.

"GRRRAAAAAGGHHHH!" Jack screams in pain yet again as blood spills everywhere from his legs, arms, chest and stomach. He drops to his knees and then on his face.

His power depletes quickly as the red glowing stops and he is no longer powerful. Instead, he's just an ordinary human…who is now dead.

Alpha lands on her feet and turns her back on him with the other Shadows joining her.

"YEAH!" All of them say in unison. "WE ARE SHADOW GARDEN! WE HUNT IN THE SHADOWS, PROTECT THE INNOCENTS! VICTORY IS OURS!"

They all hold up "V" signs in the air.

**Meanwhile**

Beatrix reaches the monster, stomping about as it causes more destruction. Unfortunately, the strongest knights or warriors have been unable to stop Aurora's wrath. Beatrix has to stop her. She removes her cloak and speeds up a little bit until she reaches the monster. She runs up on its leg, then on its arm until she gets to the top where Aurora is on top of its head. She gasps as she sees the Calamity Witch completely emotionless, staring straight ahead as she controls that thing.

"Aurora…" Beatrix says. She takes a step closer and yells, "AURORA!"

The Calamity Witch hears and turns her head. She orders the monster to shake her off. Beatrix tries to stay her ground, but gets thrown off anyways. The monster tries to smash her with its giant hands, causing the ground to shake with each hit. She sees the opportunity to jump on its arm again as soon as it smashes the ground again and runs up toward its shoulder to reach Aurora again. She hops up on top of its head, as she sees there's enough room for two people. But as she tries to reach for her, a force field pushes her back. Beatrix holds her ground and shakes it off. Aurora turns toward her with a blank expression.

"Aurora! It's me! Beatrix!" The platinum haired elf yells, gesturing toward herself. "You've got to remember!"

Aurora continues staring blankly at Beatrix. The monster keeps on causing destruction even without Aurora's control. Beatrix grits her teeth and starts to step forward.

"You've got to remember!" Beatrix begs. "Please! You know you're not like this! That horrible man is controlling your mind! Snap out of it!"

Aurora starts to blink twice. And then, she shuts her eyes tightly, clutching her head, groaning in pain.

This man must be still controlling her…! Beatrix thinks. How do I get through to her!?

She starts to step toward Aurora again, but gets pushed back by the force field again. She looks up at the Calamity Witch and tosses away her sword.

"No matter…!" Beatrix says. "I WILL get you out of this if it's the last thing I do!"

She goes for it. No matter how many times Aurora tries to push her away, Beatrix still keeps on coming. The more Beatrix pushes, the more Aurora starts to regain her senses. She clutches her head, groaning in pain as memories start to flash before her. How she and Beatrix first met and fought, how she got saved by Shadow Garden after battling them, and how she spent time with them. More and more good memories flash and Aurora struggles trying to regain control of herself. The force field begins to weaken and Beatrix is getting closer and closer to Aurora.

"Aurora…! I'm coming for you!" the platinum haired elf shouts. "I want to tell you…one thing…!"

"Ngh…gah….aahhhhh…!" Aurora cries, clutching her head with both hands and bending over. "Help meeeeee…!"

"AURORAAAAA!" Beatrix finally gets through and hugs the Calamity Witch tightly. "I LOVE YOU, AURORA! I LOVE YOU! PLEASE COME BACK TO ME!"

Aurora shuts her eyes tightly, clutching Beatrix's tank top and uses all of her power to break free from the spell. Red electricity surges through the monster and everything around Aurora and Beatrix. It begins to fall apart as it roars in pain. First the legs, then the arms. Beatrix starts to princess carry Aurora as she starts to hop on the creature's shoulder and then the left arm that's about to fall apart. She then hops off the broken arm and lands on her feet, on one knee. The monster is destroyed, crumbling into pieces and sending a large puff of dust behind Beatrix. She looks behind the destruction and the monster is no more. She sighs in relief and looks down at the exhausted Aurora. She gives a nod and starts to run to rejoin Shadow Garden.

The Seven Shadows themselves have defeated Jack Nelson. He is no more and he can rot in hell for all they care. They turn and see Beatrix run toward them with Aurora in her arms.

"Aunt Beatrix!" Alpha says. "You saved her!"

"Yes…yes, but…we got a new problem…" Beatrix looks down at Aurora. Her necklace! It's flashing red really fast!

The Seven Shades gasp on horror.

"The elixir!" Gamma says. "Someone give her the elixir right now!"

Eta tosses Alpha the bottle and the blonde elf tries to give the Calamity Witch what is left in it. Aurora's eyes flutter open and sees Alpha look down at her in worry, so does Beatrix.

"Y-you…" Aurora whispers.

"Aurora, are you going to be alright!?" Alpha cries.

Beatrix slowly kneels down to have Aurora rest on her knee. The Calamity Witch looks down at her necklace, which is still flashing red. This time, it's flashing red and black slowly. Did the elixir not work?

"That…that man…" Aurora can barely speak. "Is he…?"

"Yes!" Alpha says, leaning a bit closer. "We defeated him! He's gone now! But…but…!"

"That's…good…" Aurora looks up at Beatrix. "And you…my savior…my knight…you saved me…"

"Yes…" Beatrix chokes a sob, tears stinging her eyes. "Please be alright. We gave you that elixir…!"

"I'm afraid…I don't have much time left…" Aurora says sadly. "But at least…at least I…get to see your faces one last time. That's all…I ever wanted…" She musters up the strength to raise her hand to caress Beatrix's cheek. "Especially you. What a lucky woman…I….was…." A single tear falls from her cheek. And then…her eyes flutter shut. Her hand lowers until it goes limp. The flashing on her necklace stops, the jewel being totally black now.

"No….NO!" Alpha cries as she tries to shake the witch awake. "Aurora! YOU CAN'T BE DEAD! YOU JUST CAN'T!" She hangs her head low and starts to cry hard. Heavy tears fall on Aurora's limp body as Beatrix sheds tears as well.

The others cry as well, mourning for their beloved Calamity Witch. They didn't want this to happen but…it did.

"It's…it's that man's fault!" Gamma sobs. "He forced her to use all of her power to cause this destruction! She had no choice! And now…it's too late! She's dead all because of him! Let him burn in oblivion! Burn him to a crisp! Oh, Aurora…! Why!?"

All of them continue to cry for Aurora's death. This is too painful for everyone to bare. There is absolutely nothing they could do now. The elixir wasn't enough to even restore her strength. It's too late. However…

Beatrix notices something glowing on her gloved hand. She raises it as there are sparkles shimmering and then the glowing stops. She then looks down at the elixir bottle. The drops have the same exact color as the glowing light. It is then that it hits her.

"That's…it….!" Beatrix says, getting everyone's attention.

"What is it?" Alpha asks.

"There is still a way to save her," Beatrix says. "And I know what it is: It is you and me!"

"Wha!? How is that possible!?" Alpha says. "Aurora is dead! There's no way to even revive her!"

"Just trust me!" Beatrix shoots back. "Listen, you and I have a hidden power that even we didn't know about until now. WE are the elixir."

"B-but how is that possible?" Epsilon asks. "The elixir Eta made was…"

"Yes," Gamma says. "I get it now. Alpha-sama and Beatrix-sama are made from a special elven magic elixir within them. I guess that power awakened when we were mourning for Aurora's death. Their desire to save her was the reason why."

"Do you really think…it will work?" Alpha asks.

"We won't know until we try, my niece," Beatrix puts a hand on Alpha's shoulder. "Come. You go first, I'll handle the rest."

"Alright."

Alpha gently caresses Aurora's cheek and presses her lips against the witch's. A light blue light surrounds Aurora, making the Shades gasp in shock. It's working! The spell is actually working! Once Alpha pulls away, Beatrix leans in to kiss Aurora to do the rest. The glow becomes brighter and more powerful. It makes Aurora's hair sway and there is a bit of wind blowing.

Beatrix pulls away and the glowing stops. All of the girls wait for the final results, some even hold their breath. And then…Aurora's eyes flutter open once again. All of them gasp happily, seeing the Calamity Witch awaken. The first person she sees is Beatrix and then she turns her head toward Alpha, who is crying for joy.

"You're…alive…!" Alpha sobs. "You're alive!"

"Thank Heavens…!" Gamma sighs in relief.

"Ara…you all did this…?" Aurora questions.

"No, we did," Beatrix says. "My niece and I. We saved you from the power of our own elixir. Our desire to save you must have awakened that power within us." She sniffles as a new batch of tears fall from her eyes. "Oh, Aurora…I'm so glad you came back to us…!"

She hugs the Calamity Witch tightly. The Seven Shadows shed happy tears as they watch the Goddess of War hugging and cradling Aurora.

**Next Day**

Beta gives her report. However, Alpha is not present, nor is Eta or Gamma for that matter.

As of right now, Jack Nelson is presumed dead. He is taken away to have him thrown down the deepest part of the sea. As for the destruction, repairs are being done right away. Gamma is willing to give her money to those who have lost their homes and be able to live in a place more decent.

Alpha and Beatrix are on top of a hill, saying their good-byes. Sure Beatrix found what she was looking for, but now she wants to continue traveling on her own. Alpha understands that and wishes her luck.

As for Aurora, she was able to go back to her home, but not before saying good-bye to Beatrix-sama and us Shadows included for one last time…without interruptions. Hehe~!

Beatrix and Alpha give each other a gentle hug, saying their final good-byes. The platinum haired elf assures her niece that she will come and visit her some time, and if Aurora shows up, Alpha will let her know.

And finally, Alpha-sama went to see Beatrix-sama off on top of a hill. The innocents are overall safe and sound and we hope for the best of them. That is my report~

Beatrix and Alpha pull away and give each other gentle smiles before the platinum haired elf turns away, her long cloak fluttering in the wind. Alpha stands there, her long dress fluttering as well as her lovely blonde hair fluttering in the wind as well. She lets out a soft sigh and turns the opposite way. She will see her aunt again…someday.

A/N: And that's a wrap! Took 2 days to write this. Man, that was a rough one! How did you like it? Combining Alpha's arc and Aurora's arc was sort of difficult, but I pulled through. Hehe.

I think I'm going to do Gamma's arc next since I find myself simping for her as much as Eta. I mean, it would make sense since she runs a huge business and they can have conflicts.

Anyways, hope you all enjoyed this story arc. That was fun to write, honestly. Be sure to leave long and productive reviews. I worked so hard on this.

Have a nice day!
