Hogwarts Secrets

First chapter of a new crossover story, combining Pretty Little Liars and Harry Potter, just a crazy idea I had one day and worked on some details with fellow writer Boris Yeltsin until finally the idea was formed. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, just a note that while the characters personalities and such are in line more with their tv show versions, their physical appearances are based off the book versions.

Disclaimer: I don't own PLL, Harry Potter, or their characters.

Chapter 1

There was an excited buzz in the air as the Hogwarts Express pulled up to Hogsmeade Station with the beginning of a new year at Hogwarts due to start. There was the usual emergence of students from the train carriages, all ready to get up to the castle, the First Years were looking around, lost and confused as to be expected. Observing all this while smoothing down the black robe with green edging that she wore over her uniform, a sixteen year old girl smiled lightly, ready to start her Sixth Year at Hogwarts.

'Of course I still remember when I was first coming here as a First Year. I looked just like them...until I learned the importance of secrets and how they work to your advantage. Especially other peoples.' She reflected.

Said girl was of medium height and had long, wavy; honey-blonde hair, and deep cerulean blue wide eyes. She had a heart-shaped face, bow-shaped lips, and a lithe albeit still nicely curvy figure. The green edge of her robe and a green and silver tie that she also wore indicated her Hogwarts House, Slytherin. She also wore a green and silver badge on the chest of her robes with a large P emblazoned on it along with the animal of her house, the serpent. The badge indicated she was one of her House Prefects.

She was pulled out of her musings by a familiar voice.

"Ali, shouldn't we get going up to the school?"

The girl, Alison DiLaurentis, the youngest member of the Pure-Blood DiLaurentis family, turned to face the speaker with a smile. The girl in Ravenclaw as her blue and bronze tie and blue hemmed robes indicated, was the same age as her and had long, blonde wavy hair, as well as a small, upturned nose, pointed chin, blue eyes and bow-shaped lips, surprisingly similar to Alison's. She was quite tall and slim, notably fit from being active in Quidditch. Her name was Spencer Hastings, a Half-Blood girl who was friends with Alison and also a Ravenclaw Prefect.

That was something that surprised a lot of people, due to the typical rivalries, to put it mildly, between the various Houses. But Alison had made surprising friendships with girls between all four Houses. Even more surprisingly, given some Slytherin attitudes towards bloody purity, Alison was just the opposite, in fact two of her friends were not only in the same 'rival' house and were in fact Muggle-Born. That rival house being Gryffindor, as shown by their colours, red and gold.

Those two girls were just behind Spencer, the first was extremely beautiful, a change from her younger years where she had been heavyset, her long hair had been blonde but since Fifth Year it was dark auburn now, she also had hazel eyes and a rather slender build. The other girl had a cute, freckled face and hazel/green eyes. Her strawberry blonde hair was often worn in twin Dutch braids. She had broad shoulders and was skinny, but had muscular legs and thighs. She was also a Quidditch player.

"Hi Hanna, Emily." Alison greeted them respectively.

Hanna Marin and Emily Fields both returned the greeting.

Alison looked around and noted their group short a member.

"So, where's Aria?"
Spencer smirked. "She got a little tired waiting so she's went ahead, she'll be by the carriages."

Alison merely nodded and together the girls made their way along with the rest of the students, excluding the First Years who were being guided through a different route to the school by the Groundskeeper, Hagrid. Sure enough they found the last member of their friend group, Aria Montgomery, standing waiting for them with a smile. Aria was a Hufflepuff, as shown by the yellow and black tie and yellow hem to the robe, she was also a Half-Blood and had short, shoulder length, blue-black hair and ice-blue eyes, which were her distinguishing features. She was also quite tall, as well as having pouty lips, and a thin, ballet dancer frame.

"Finally, I was getting tired waiting." Aria joked.

Alison laughed. "Yeah c'mon Aria, let's get into one of the carriages."

Hanna nodded. "There's one right there, nobody else on it."

"Good, room for all of us then." Alison commented.

The others grinned and they all clambered onto the carriage and it began to make its way towards the school.

"So, here we go, another year…" Emily remarked as she looked up at Hogwarts as it drew closer. "You don't think...anything will happen this year?"

Alison shrugged. "Hopefully not but, remember, we're all together and that's what matters."

The friends all grinned at that, but what none of them actually noticed but that Emily did and smiled at was that, in the shadows of their robe sleeves, Alison had slipped her hand into Emily's, both squeezed their respective hands and readied themselves, looking forward to whatever lay in wait for them that year.

Unbeknownst to the girls, or any of Hogwarts students, from atop a hill close to the Forbidden Forest, watching the progress of the carriages heading towards the castle, two figures stood.

"So...they've finally arrived." The smaller of the two, a female, remarked.

The larger one nodded, a gruff male voice replying. "Yeah...Should I inform the others, shall we begin."

"Inform the others...but we won't start yet." The female replied. "Let them get settled first, lower their guard, think they're safe...that's when the terror will be at its sweetest."

The man nodded and made his way back down into the trees while the female watched, eyes zeroing in on the carriage carrying the five friends. A disturbing smirk appeared on her face at that very moment.
