''Damn everything smells delicious.'' Quinn breaths out humming as several ovens slide open, Santana nods her head and chuckles.
''It makes me hungry.'' She agrees with a grin as she watches her girlfriend walk around the makeshift kitchen checking up on Marley and Kitty after grabbing things for the meal she is preparing. ''She manages the kitchen like a true professional.'' She breaths out with a proud grin.
''Everyone looks stressed as hell.'' Maria breaths out. ''But the three of them just calmly prepare their meals, joke around and focus on their tasks.''
''Ten more minutes chefs!''
Santana watches Brittany calmly wipe her hands after she nodded her head and raises an eyebrow as Marley and Kitty just drop whatever they were doing to slide up beside Brittany. ''What the hell were they doing?''
''No idea but it looks like it wasn't important.'' Maribel breaths out shrugging.
''Buddy!'' Santana raises an eyebrow as Brittany jogs over after talking to one of the people belonging to the James Beard Committee and tilts her head as she walks over with a plate.
Brittany crouches down in front of the kids and smiles. ''Here this is for all of you to eat, the food we will hand out after will be for the adults.''
''Thank you Britty!''
Santana chuckles as the kids immediately sit down after hugging Brittany tightly and hums softly as she stands up to peck her lips. ''What do you have to do now?'' She asks curiously.
''Only plate the food so Kitty just started and I will help her out now, Marley will prepare the drinks, we wanted to wait with those so they still taste fresh.'' Brittany breaths out.
''Five minutes!''
Brittany holds up a finger and winks. ''Be right back.'' Santana watches her jog back to the stage, she crouches down beside her son as he tugs on her jeans and opens her mouth as he holds up a piece of meat.
''Oh damn.'' She breaths out covering her mouth.
''Amazing right?'' Nicolas asks with wide eyes, Santana nods her head taking one of the ribs and holds it up for the group to try.
''How did she manage to make them this tender within two hours?'' Maria asks in surprise, Santana shrugs her shoulders and chuckles.
''No idea Sobrina.'' She breaths out. ''But I am sure she has to explain.''
''And why is this for adults?'' Victoria asks curiously.
''Because in the one she serves now, she adds Jack.'' Puck breaths out. ''That is the only time I love whiskey.'' He muses.
''One minute left Chefs!''
They all turn back to the stage as they hear the announcement and blink in surprise as Brittany and Kitty just calmly walk over to the table and quickly but expertly set it like in a restaurant.
''Where did that lighter come from?'' Press asks laughing as she sees that the table with the name Young, Wild and Free is the only one with a lit candle.
''B always carries one.'' Quinn breaths out chuckling.
''She calls it her emergency lighter.'' Santana explains with a shrug.
''She used it for something else back in high school.'' Puck breaths out chuckling. ''But I don't think she touched it ever since she started playing soccer.''
''As far as I know, she didn't even drink the first two years.'' Amelia breaths out chuckling. ''She didn't want to risk her spot in the team so she opted to only focus on studying, training and playing matches.''
''Time is up, hands away!''
Santana looks back up as she hears the loud voice again and chuckles as she watches Brittany, Kitty and Marley just lean back against their section while the others still stand near their tables. ''They are so calm.'' She breaths out.
''I think that is all B's doing.'' Abi muses. ''Marley and Kitty were nervous at the very beginning but after Britt went over to them and talked to them it dropped.''
''Yeah they also glanced over at her a few times during the past two hours.'' Liv agrees. ''How the hell can B stay so calm though? This is a big thing.''
''She thinks of it as an open air cooking show.'' Santana breaths out. ''She doesn't have her mind set on the award, she is just here to have fun and prepare an amazing dish for people.'' She adds as they all watch the jury taste the second meal, she tilts her head as she notices one of the women spitting something in her napkin and bites her lip. ''Looks like the second table ruined some dish.''
''Third table too, they just completely skipped the beef wellington.'' Quinn whispers, she politely shakes her head as some of the other contestants walk past them offering them a plate and picks her daughter up as she walks over to them.
''Britty is up.'' Nicolas whispers jogging over to his mami, Santana picks him up as he raises his arms and watches the jury try the ribs. She snickers as she watches their eyebrows raise in surprise and high fives Puck as they grab a second try.
''She nailed it.'' She whispers proudly not noticing everyone just glance at her with a loving grin.
''On to the drinks, do you want to tell us what you prepared?'' One of the men of the jury asks turning to the first table.
''We decided that whiskey on the rocks, whiskey and coke and orange juice would be the perfect fit to our dinner sir.''
Santana sucks in her lips as she watches Kitty and Marley both scrunch up their noses while Brittany just raises an eyebrow and snickers. ''Well they disagree.''
''And what about you, Cat in the bag?''
''We decided that Pina Colada, tequila sunrise and Bacardi Orange fits best for the adults and apple juice or milk for the kids sir.''
''Apple juice or milk?'' Emilio asks frowning. ''Well that is one way to make a kid immediately drop that restaurant.'' Santana nods her head and laughs softly.
''Nic and the girls would look at the list and request to leave.'' She agrees.
''Young, wild and free, what is your choice of drinks today?''
''We have three self created cocktails for the adults and three mocktails for children sir.'' Kitty replies.
''Self created?'' One of the women asks in surprise. ''Would you like to tell us what is in each drink?''
Marley nods her head walking over to join them after Brittany nudged her and gently taps the glass filled with rainbow colors. ''This is the Taste The Rainbow, one of the drinks for the adults Kitty.'' She mentions her had to her girlfriend and smiles. ''Created it, it's a layered drink containing peach schnapps, pineapple juice, vodka, blue curacao and grenadine.''
''Next up is the Rainbow Breeze, the drink I created.'' She continues tapping the next glass. ''It's also a layered drink containing pineapple rum, banana rum, pineapple juice and orange juice for the yellow layer, for the blue layer I used pineapple vodka, blue curacao and freshly crushed blueberries finished off with grenadine and garnish.''
''And lastly we have the drink Brittany.'' She points to Brittany proudly wearing her black jacket so everyone knows who the owner is and smiles. ''Created, it's called Sunset Fire the drink we offer to customers ordering our marinated short ribs because it is the perfect drink to match it.''
''It contains white rum, cinnamon whiskey, pineapple juice and grenadine garnished with maraschino cherries.''
''And for the children?''
''All three drinks are created by Brittany and two of them were created with the help of the little boy in Santana's arms.'' Marley tells her with a grin as she points at Nicolas, smiling lovingly as he waves back with a shy smile. ''Firstly we have the children beer, it's apple juice and the foam is made of whipped cream, apple juice and a splash of lemon.''
She taps the yellow glass and smiles. ''This is called the Hawaiian express, fresh frozen pineapple crushed with coconut milk, pineapple juice and lime juice, a bit of fresh pineapple juice and topped with maraschino cherries.''
She waits till everyone took a sip like she did with every drink and taps the last glass. ''And our last drink is called Blue wonder.'' She stirs the drink to activate the edible glitter and smiles as everyone hums. ''Fresh lemon mixed with lemon and lime soda Brittany prepared herself with fresh juice, crushed blueberries along, crushed ice and edible glitter.''
''Every drink as an art.'' One of the women compliments.
''And they all taste amazing.'' The second one adds, Marley thanks them with a smile as the men agree and walks back to join Kitty and Brittany as they announce that they will vote.
''They definitely won.'' Maribel breaths out as the jury keeps glancing over at Brittany, Marley and Kitty softly talking among themselves. ''They surprised all four juries.''
''Jury ready for dessert?'' Santana's jaw drops as she watches Brittany carry over a three plates, carrying them like a waitress and glances at the group.
''What is that?''
She turns back to look at her girlfriend as they all shrug their shoulders also surprised by the beautiful food on the plates and kisses her sons head as he nuzzles his cheek against her shoulder.
''Young, wild and free we will start with you now.'' One of the men announces. ''What did you prepare for us?''
Brittany steps forward with her hands behind her back and smiles kindly. ''We prepared a seven layer chocolate mouse cake, a coffee hazelnut tart and raspberry jelly with pistachio panna cotta topped with white chocolate and fresh raspberries and strawberries.''
''Did one of you study arts?'' One of the women asks as she eyes the plates. ''These look amazing.''
''None of us studied arts ma'am.'' Brittany replies. ''But we all know that the eye eats first, if a plate doesn't look appetizing we would never try it even if it would have been an outstanding dish.'' She explains. ''I have three amazing chefs who share the same opinion so we try our best to make every plate a piece of art.''
''And you succeed.'' The women exclaims with a smile.
''I think the second and third dessert explains itself, but would you like to tell us a bit about the seven layered chocolate mouse cake?'' The man standing beside her asks with a kind smile.
Brittany nods her head turning the cake so the seven layers are clear to see and smiles. ''The bottom layer is made of white chocolate, every layer is made with cream so I melted all the chocolate drops and mixed them with whipped cream.''
''The second layer is milk chocolate, the third layer dark chocolate, the fourth layer unsweetened chocolate but I added a bit of chili for the extra kick, the fifth layer is caramelized white chocolate, the sixth layer is raw chocolate mixed with coffee beans and the last layer is ruby chocolate.''
''Ruby chocolate?'' The man asks with an eyebrow raised, Brittany nods her head and smiles.
''Ruby chocolate is the newest type of chocolate first unveiled in 2015 by the Belgian chocolate manufacturer Callebaut.'' She explains. ''It gets it's name from it's reddish-pink color as you can see.''
''This type of chocolate comes from the ruby cocoa bean and it's mostly known in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.'' She continues. ''Many people think the color is added food coloring but the bean is really pinkish so the color is completely natural, one of their cocoa experts found the bean in Brazil but you can also find them in Ecuador and the Ivory Coast.''
''And how does it taste?'' One of the women asks curiously, Brittany smiles kindly and holds up a finger. She turns on her heels walking back to Kitty and Marley and grabs the package of chocolate drops, she walks back to the jury and holds it out for them.
''I knew this question would come so I saved a few to taste without the other chocolates dominating.''
''Oh wow and this contains no added flavor?''
She holds the bag out for them and smiles. ''None, the sweet berry like favor is completely natural.''
''It's amazing.'' She breaths out. ''Thank you Brittany, we will taste now.''
Brittany nods her head and smiles. ''Enjoy.''
''Damn it's so unusual to see her this professional.'' Puck breaths out laughing, Santana snickers as she watches her girlfriend take her spot between Marley and Kitty again and shrugs.
''Not really but it's hot tho.''
''You think everything she does is hot.'' Liv teases as the jury walks over to the next table, Santana just shoots her a glare blushing as everyone laughs and accepts the plate Kitty brings over filled with all three desserts enough for all of them.
''Which one can we eat?'' Nicolas asks cutely.
''These.'' He turns to Brittany as she walks over and smiles brightly as she places a plate in front of them.
''Whoa it looks soo good Britty.'' Sophia gushes as she sits down beside Nicolas, Brittany kisses their heads with a smile as Beth and Amy nod their heads in agreement and straightens up.
She accepts the strawberry Santana holds up to her lips and smiles slightly. ''I am fine love.'' She murmurs covering her mouth as she speaks.
''Did you eat something?'' Santana asks with an eyebrow raised, she hums as Brittany avoids eye contact and holds up a fork filled with cake. ''Thought so, eat something Britt-Britt.''
''What do you think B?'' Emilio asks curiously, Brittany glances at the kids and shrugs.
''Well table two just messed up, their chocolate cake was burned and they didn't notice.'' She breaths out. ''Table one messed up one of their dishes, judging the way the jury downed a glass of water after trying it they used way too much sa...''
''The jury is done discussing!'' Brittany turns her head as the loud voice blasts through the speakers again and nods her head. ''Can the restaurateurs please join us?''
''Be right back.'' She whispers, she turns on her heels jogging down the stairs and walks back onto the stage. She joins the other two shaking both of their hands to wish them good luck and turns to the jury once again intertwining her hands behind her back, she inwardly shakes her head as she notices the other two crossing their arms and glances at her family knowing the crossed arms mean that they will take whatever the jury says to heart.
''Minnesota dream.'' One of the men starts. ''It was a pleasure to watch the three of you work, after a few communication trouble at the very beginning you quickly found the right way and started preparing your dishes.''
''During the preparation there was a tiny problem though.'' One of the women continues. ''All three of you seasoned the food and that caused it to be a bit too intense for all of us.''
''Your desserts were amazing though and I loved the white chocolate, caramel pudding.'' The other woman exclaims with a big smile.
''I think your choice of drinks were a bit too standard, but two out of three did fit.'' The last one tells them. ''But I would offer children more than just water, juice or milk.''
''Cat in the bag.'' She continues as the restaurateur nods his head. ''Your beef wellington was sadly overcooked and not enjoyable, but the grilled vegetables you added were amazing.''
''The tomato basil soup with breadsticks were good, the breadsticks were a bit too thick but together with the soup it was amazing.'' The woman beside her continues.
''You chocolate cake was sadly burned and tasted bitter.'' One of the men breaths out.
''The vanilla pudding was amazing but I did miss a topping, just vanilla pudding was a bit boring.''
''We didn't have the time to make toppings.'' He defends lamely.
''Fresh strawberries would have been enough.'' The man replies. ''And I know two hours is short but you and your team spend almost forty minutes going over recipes, we allowed all of you to think of recipes beforehand to come here prepared but you didn't.''
Brittany gulps thickly plastering on a kind smile as they turn to her, hearing the chef beside her huff and locks eyes with each one of them.
''Young, wild and free.'' The woman that also gushed about the ruby chocolate starts. ''We all don't know where to start with you, so how about a tiny point of critic first?''
Brittany nods her head and smiles. ''I am all ears and always prepared to learn from the best ma'am.'' knowing she owns one of the best restaurants in LA.
''That is good.'' The woman tells her with a smile. ''But the only critic I have is that we didn't find one single thing that we could write down as a critic point and that scares me because I know you will be a big concurrence for us.''
The woman beside her laughs and nods her head in agreement. ''Oh yeah that scares me too.'' She agrees. ''Brittany we have watched every single restaurateur slash chef today and every other contest, but we never met someone like you before.''
''You started working with an energy and confidence, that we all were surprised.'' She continues. ''If you were nervous, you did a damn good job to hide it same goes for the two amazing ladies that joined you today.''
''I have nothing to add to that.'' One of the men breaths out, he smiles as the other also shakes his head and clasps his hands in front of him. ''Before I compliment all dishes, can you tell us the secret behind those tender ribs? You had two hours which is normally far too less to make ribs this tender, but yours practically melted on our tongues.''
''I marinated it in citrus fruits first.'' Brittany explains. ''The acid breaks the muscle fibers and makes the meat tender within an hour, we marinate our ribs twelve hours before we serve them at the restaurant but we had to think of a way to make them here and I learned that the acid speeds up the process.''
''And where did you learn that?'' The woman asks curiously.
''Experimenting and trying new things out.'' Brittany replies. ''I started cooking around the age of twelve and most recipes we serve now were the ones I started with, along the years I just improved everything until I was satisfied and thought myself that it was perfect.''
''And how do you make your marinate? I did taste whiskey but there was one flavor sensation I couldn't place.'' The woman asks.
''It's a secret recipe ma'am but it contains whiskey yes.''
''Bummer, looks like I need to come to you if I want to eat it.'' The woman breaths out, Brittany nods her head and chuckles.
''We will always have a table free, you can walk in whenever you want.''
''Alright coming back to where I started.'' The man exclaims chuckling. ''Brittany your marinated short ribs were amazing, the steamed vegetables and sweet potato fries made it a sensational dish and the drink you offer with it fits perfectly.''
''Thank you.'' Brittany breaths out as she hears applause around her.
''I can say the same about the potato soup you offered as an appetizer, the breadsticks were absolutely amazing and I loved the taste of the cheese and herbs combined.'' One of the woman adds with a grin.
''The choice of drinks you made for children and for adults were very eye catching and delicious, with and without alcohol, it was point on and it fits the food.'' The other man continues.
''Your desserts were a piece of art and absolutely delicious.'' The female that fell in love with the ruby chocolate exclaims with a smile. ''The panna cotta was so good and the rich taste of pistachio and fresh raspberries were a highlight.''
''The chocolate mouse cake melted on our tongue and all chocolate flavors combined is a dream, the slight spiciness of the chili flakes rounded it off perfectly.''
''The coffee hazelnut tart was very fluffy and the coffee cream on topped had the perfect consistence.'' The man adds ''It wasn't really my taste but that is because I don't like coffee, it doesn't have anything to do with what you created.''
''We could go on and on about the delicious things you and your team created within two hours, but that could take a while.'' One of the woman breaths out chuckling.
''Exactly so I think this describes exactly what we are trying to tell everyone.'' The man continues reaching behind him to grab something.
''Brittany your restaurant opened a little over one year ago and you had many satisfied customers, we have read all reviews people wrote about your restaurant and after today we can only agree.'' The other man exclaims with a big smile.
''You opened one of the best restaurants around LA.'' The woman wearing the same black jacket Brittany wears tells her as she walks around the table. ''We heard that you have three other jobs but that your team makes sure your restaurant runs even without your presence and that is what we call team work.''
''And amazing team work shows results.'' She continues, she shows Brittany the award and smile. ''The young, wild and free restaurant deserved the title of the most outstanding restaurant in LA of the year 2018!''
Brittany takes the reward as an ear deafening applause sounds around them and smiles. ''Thank you so much.''
''No thank you for showing LA an amazing choice of food.'' The female replies as she shakes her hand. ''Congratulations.''
''Thank you.'' She breaths out, she shakes the hands of the three other jury members and turns to the two chefs beside her also shaking their hands and thanking them as they congratulate her.
She watches the jury walk back to their table to eat some more and turns her head as she feels two pairs of arms wrap around her. ''We did it.'' She whispers with a grin as her eyes lock on a pair of brown and a pair of blue orbs.
''You did it.'' Marley breaths out as she kisses her temple. ''I am so goddamn proud of you Britt.''
''I am too.'' Kitty breaths out as they hug her tightly. ''Congrats boss.'' She laughs as she pulls back to shoot her a glare and kisses her cheek. ''Love ya.''
''I would have never managed to do all of this without you, so we did it.'' Brittany breaths out as she turns in their hold to hug them properly. ''Thank you for standing by my side the whole time girls.''
''Anytime Britt.'' Marley murmurs, she smiles as she watches the whole group walk over after the jury allowed it and chuckles as she notices the shirts the kids wear. ''Turn around B.''
Brittany hands her the award so she can look at it and turns on her heels, she laughs as she sees the shirts immediately and shakes her head in amusement. ''Really?'' She asks as she reads the text No1 fan of young wild and free.
''Yes really!'' Nicolas exclaims as he tackles her in a hug with the little girls. ''Congratulations Britty!''
''Our auntie is the best chef.'' Beth breaths out with a cute grin as she sloppily kisses her cheek as soon as Brittany crouched down, Brittany chuckles kissing their heads and hugs them close.
''And I have the best tiny support.'' She whispers with a grin, she stands back up after kissing Nicolas's forehead and stumbles back as Santana tackles her in a hug.
''Congratulations mi amor.'' Santana breaths out as she kisses her softly knowing the group covers them. ''I am so proud of you.'' She turns to the two woman enjoying the congratulations from the group and winks. ''Of all of you.''
Brittany thanks her softly with a soft kiss and smiles as the group just joins the hug an echo of congratulations following, she thanks them softly and takes the award Kitty holds out for her. ''It will take a while for this to settle in.''
''You have the time till next year.'' She turns her head as one of the woman walks over and tilts her head in confusion. ''The winner of the year before enters the competition again, you can fight for your title and I am sure you will succeed.''
Brittany shakes her head smiling as she compliments her once again and breaths out a thank you, Santana snickers as she watches the tips of her ears turn red and nudges her softly as soon as she walked off. ''Enough compliments?'' She teases.
''Yeah.'' Brittany breaths out blushing as every chuckles adoringly. ''Can we go to the restaurant to tell it the crew?''
She smiles as everyone nod their heads and takes off her jacket, she intertwines her hand with Santana's after wishing everyone a good day and follows the group out to the parking lot. She slides into Santana's car after buckling Nic in and nods her head as the group tells her that they will follow them, she places the award beside Nicolas and slides into the passenger seat beside Santana with a deep sigh.
''Judging that sigh, you still have a bad feeling.'' Santana murmurs as she turns the portable DVD player she has to distract Nicolas on so he can watch his favorite show.
''Yeah and it didn't drop yet.'' Brittany breaths out with a frown. ''They weren't there, so I hope to god they didn't find the restaurant either.''
''You kept your eye out too?''
Brittany nods her head and sighs. ''Yeah I am on high alert which is nerve wrecking, I am glad as soon as the day is over and I can just relax at home with you and Nic.'' She squeezes Santana's hand softly and sighs. ''I hope Nic or the girls won't hear them though.''
''We will make sure they won't be near.'' Santana promises softly. ''Relax mi amor, they won't do shit.'' She breaths out as she lifts their intertwined hands up to her lips to kiss the back of her hand. ''We will all make sure nothing will happen Britt.'' She reassures.
''I know.'' Brittany murmurs as Santana parks her car in front of the restaurant, she leans over the middle console and kisses her softly. ''I love you.''
''I love you too baby.'' Santana whispers with a cute grin. ''Ready to surprise the crew?'' She opens her car door as Brittany just hums with a smirk and opens Nicolas's door for him, she picks him up as he raises his arms and kisses his head. ''Listen to me or Britty por favor.'' She whispers against his temple. ''When we say go somewhere, please take the girls and go okay?''
''Okay mami.'' She rubs his back as he easily agrees and squeezes Brittany's hand softly as she intertwines them again, she smiles as Brittany leans over to kiss Nicolas's head as she slides up beside them and nods her head as the group turns to face her as they near them.
''Ready?'' Kitty and Marley ask in unison with a big grin, Brittany nods her head chuckling as Puck just holds open the door for them and walks in still keeping a hold on Santana's hand.
''Hello welcome to young, wild and.. Boss!'' Brittany laughs as Steph looks at her in surprise and raises an eyebrow.
''Jar?''
Steph shakes her head walking around the booth to greet her, Santana, Kitty and Marley with a hug and smiles. ''Hell no, how was it?''
''Gather the group together.'' Kitty just tells her with a soft sigh as she notices Marley and Brittany also keeping their faces void of emotions.
''Oh no.'' Steph breaths out with a sad sigh. ''I will grab them.''
''Y'all are so mean.'' Maribel laughs out as Steph turns on her heels, Brittany just snickers as Kitty and Marley high five her and shoots Maribel a wink.
''Nah but we don't want her to scream it out.'' She enters the celebrity part of the restaurant, nodding her head at her coach and Holly as she sees them seated at an extra private booth and winks as Sue just tilts her head with an eyebrow raised.
''Well coach will find out too.'' Press muses as she waves at her, Brittany hums keeping the award hiding behind her back and leans against the bar with Santana still by her side.
''Hey bos..''
''She already threatened with the jar.'' Steph warns as Jay leans forward with a grunt after she hit his abs. ''Don't call her boss.''
''How was it girls?'' Kevin asks with a big smile as they all gather around, Marley shrugs her shoulders and sighs.
''We went up to two amazing restaurants and it was definitely stressful.''
''A few mistakes were made but one restaurant just managed to surprise the jury and the only critic they had, was that they had no critic at all.'' Brittany adds with a slight grin. ''They see that restaurant as their concurrence, so that just doubled their stress level.''
Santana snickers slowly stepping away with Nicolas as she feels Brittany squeeze her hand and slides beside her sister and Liv.
''Stop playing with us.'' Jay whines. ''Who won?''
''I don't know.'' Brittany breaths out.
''You tell us.'' Kitty adds with a grin as Brittany pulls the award from behind her back.
''No fucking way!''
Brittany winces quickly looking over at the kids and sighs in relief as she sees Abi, Santana, Quinn and Maria already covering their ears. She stumbles back as they all tackle her in a hug and laughs. ''Looks like I need a fucking curse jar too.''
''Yeah and cursing in that sentence just showed us why.'' Ann tells her in amusement as she hugs her tightly, she pulls back as her twin sister joins the hug and kisses her cheek as she hears the group snicker. ''I am so proud of you kiddo and proud to be a part of this crew.''
''I knew the three of you would kill it!'' Kevin exclaims with a grin as he kisses her temple. ''Congrats boss, now it's time to show everyone what we got and bring in the Michelin.''
''If we continue like we do know, we don't have to do much for it.'' Brittany breaths out with a grin. ''Y'all tell me that you are proud of me, but we can all be proud of every single person belonging to the group because without any of you the crew wouldn't be as amazing.''
''You all give everything for this restaurant to create the atmosphere we have now, there is no work stress, just a group of misfits that created their own family to joke around with and earn money.'' She muses. ''This restaurant is so popular because everyone who walks in immediately notices the relaxed mood, none of us stresses around and if we do we take five, use the media room to come down and start working again after calming down.''
''And that is because you offer us that room and the extra minutes to just take a break.'' Fran breaths out. ''You designed this restaurant and immediately added that room Britt, you are the genius behind the cool down room or get rid of pent up anger room.''
''We all love working here because you offer us a place where we can be us and found people who we now call our family.'' Steph breaths out. ''Hell even outside of work, we still hangout at least twice a month or meet up for lunch, dinner or to go clubbing.''
''None of us are colleagues, we are all a family and we love working together as a family too.''
Brittany chuckles as they just hug her again and kisses their cheeks. ''Everyone loved the food we made so they might walk in to try it again, if one of them asks for the recipe of the ribs, it's a secret though so no one but Kitty, Kev, Marls and I know what the marinade is made of.''

''They did.'' Santana breaths out as Kitty, Marley and Brittany shrug their shoulders. ''I heard them mention something about writing a message about the winner of the award so keep an eye on their website.''
''So where will the award hang?'' Jay asks after everyone nodded their head telling Santana that they will keep an eye on it.
''No idea, you all have a spot in mind?''
''Hell yes, come with me.'' Marley breaths out with a big grin.
Brittany raises an eyebrow as she pulls her with her and stumbles over her feet. ''Damn Marls, calm down.'' She laughs out as the group snickers and raises an eyebrow as they walk back to the front room.
''Right there!'' Marley breaths out pointing at the wall with their pictures, Brittany hums and tilts her head.
''And where?''
''Beside the restaurant name, the award is big enough for everyone to still see it and we can put the sticker on the door of the entrance.'' Marley tells her, Brittany nods her head and smiles.
''Yeah sounds like a good idea.'' She hands her the sticker and winks. ''Want to take the door?''
''I will grab a ladder.'' Fran offers, Brittany shakes her head and chuckles.
''No need.'' She tells her with a grin, she turns to Puck and winks. ''Noah, give me a hand?''
Puck laughs walking over to her and drops against the wall, he crouches down with his hands intertwined and winks as she walks over. ''Ready?'' He asks as he feels her foot in his hands, he stands up as she nods his head and looks up as she easily reaches up to hand the award on one of the nails in the wall.
''A bit more to the right babe.'' Santana tells her, she tilts her head as she adjusts it and nods her head. ''Perfect.''
Brittany places her hands on Puck's shoulders as he brings her back down and kisses his cheek. ''Thanks Noah.''
''Anytime sis.'' He murmurs.

''Oh no.'' Brittany breaths out as Jay and Kevin jump on top of a chair.
''With pride and so much joy, we are pleased to announce that the young, wild and crazy grill just won the James Beard Award!'' Kevin announces with a big grin.
''Our boss, kitchen manager and assistant manager just returned back from the contest and gave everything to come home with the award.'' Jay continues. ''And we are so insanely proud of the three of them that they showed everyone what being a part of this family means!''
She blushes as everyone stands up to applaud and snickers as Marley and Kitty just try to hide behind her, she tugs them beside her and looks at the customers with a grin. ''To celebrate this new amazing accomplishment, all drinks are on the house today.'' She announces, she turns to Steph and winks.
''Bring out the champagne and children bubbles?'' She thanks her with a smile as she nods her head and turns to the group. ''Relax a bit in the V.I.P part?'' She turns on her heels after thanking everyone again and follows them to the back again, she turns to the crew and winks. ''Thank you so much crazies.''
''Anytime boss.'' Steph laughs as she shoots her a glare and reaches into her apron. ''Here, now be quiet.''
Brittany laughs taking the dollar and drops it into the jar, she turns to Jay reaching out to stop him as he walks past her and leads him over to the table the group picked. ''Take Monday too, the crew can handle it without you.''
''Are you sure?''
''You just worked ten hours and will work another four tonight.'' She tells him softly. ''We both also have a meeting with Ryder tomorrow night, so we will both be tired as hell, take the day and relax with Jess.''
Jay nods his head and smiles brightly. ''I will, thanks B.''
''Anytime Jay, call it a day for now.'' She breaths out. ''Kitty and Marley already changed and are ready to help out if needed so go home an…'' She cuts herself off as the door slams open and turns on her heels.

Brittany growls as her eyes land on her parents the second Steph rushes in after the couple and exhales through her nose as her mom cuts Steph off with a hand raised.
''Oh be quiet sweetheart, we know the owner!''
''It's okay Steph.'' She breaths out trying to keep the anger out of her voice, she shoots her a reassuring smile and nods her head. ''I will take it from here.''
Santana nudges her son and nods her head to the playroom. ''Mijo go play with the girls and close the door.'' She tells him not noticing Sue and Holly also stand up immediately the second Sue notices Brittany's complete body tense up, she stands up as he nods his head running off after telling Sophia that he wants to play and slides up beside her girlfriend. ''Babe.'' She murmurs softly as she places her hand on her arm.
''What are the both of you doing here?'' Brittany just sneers after Marley and Kitty acted fast and asked the other couple in the far back to come with them, she intertwines her hand with Santana's as she feels it slide down her arm and locks eyes with her mother.
