Dear Readers,

Welcome to the new story,Tanya Pendragon, Princess of Camelot!

I hope you enjoy it!

EDIT (14 March 2023): Chapter One "Tanya Pendragon" has been shortened and renamed as Prologue. I thought maybe Zelretch didn't fit the bill and theme of my story. So I changed the identity of Tanya's Savior/Kidnapper.

The half (nearly 1k word) cut out from the original Chapter One will be reused in the new Chapter One, which contained what I had been writing for Chapter Two.

Prologue

"So this is how it ends for me," I muttered weakly while staring at the ruined city around me. It looked as if it had been hit by a nuke. It hadn't been a nuke per say as the exact definition of a nuclear weapon was an explosion caused by a nuclear reaction. Hence, the city wasn't bathing in nuclear radiation or I would have immediately died from radiation poisoning.

I glared the one responsible for the city's ruined state. This was Berun, capital of the Germanian Empire, and the home of four million. Hundreds of thousands at the minimum must have died in the attack in the initial attack, and many more when the 203rd Airwing and my own to stop the attacker, Mary Sue.

Mary Sue. That name infuriated me. No one else had ever come close to make be hate them, save for Being X. She had been the one to stop any victory that could have turned the tide of war. The only thing stopped the Empire from emerging victorious. The most infuriating part was Mary Sue bulwark that kept the Old Continent united and put aside their differences to fight the Empire, no matter how the crushing victories that the Empire made.

"This is the end of the line, Devil of Rhine." Mary announced loudly even while preparing a Bombardment Formula. The magical energy I detected put the enchanted bullet capable of causing a cruise missile level of destruction. "The world will return to peace once more with you gone!"

I wanted to scream a rebuttal, but it was impossible. The parts that allowed speech was all damaged beyond use. It was already a miracle that I had been alive right now.

The last thought I had as the magically enchanted bullet raced towards my direction and promptly exploding was that there was no need for overkill. I was going to die anyway if Mary Sue had left me alone.

~ O ~

"Are you happy, Being X!" Tanya screamed while returning to the empty void that Being X resided. "You finally got the last laugh. Was Mary Sue tactical nuke level power as example of what I could have used if I had whole heartedly turned to worshipping you?"

Being X stared silently, trying it best to hide how shocked it had been by the turn of events. It given its newest Apostle, Mary Sue, the order to eliminate Tanya no matter the cost, but it hadn't meant by using a tactical nuke level Bombardment Formula to kill hundreds of thousands of innocents civilians that could have been converting to its faith.

It started to have headache thinking about the shit the other gods were going to give it for what Mary Sue had done, and that didn't count the damage done to its faith. No one would want to worship or associate with a faith where it's "Saint" destroyed an entire city filled with millions of innocents.

The entity known as Being X was about to respond to Tanya when it's eyes bulged at the new presence.

"This game ends now," said being that even Being X had to respect lest it wanted to be crushed like an ant. "I will be taking Tanya back to her originally destinated fate."

If it had been any other entity, Being X might have angrily refuted or threatened by flaring its power. Anything and everything was futile in front of the collective unconsciousness of humanity, Alaya. It was an existence that determined the fate of Earth alongside its original personality Gaia. Possible timelines of Earth that saw humanity stagnate or making little progress would be Pruned off, destined to be destroyed.

"If you wish then go ahead and file a complaint with Gaia, but I doubt my sister would care much about a Pretender, acting like you were the Biblical God. I wonder how He would react to know about your crimes?"

Being X shuddered in fear. It didn't want to provoke Him. After Gaia and Alaya, the Biblical God was the most powerful current god. It feared that if He learned about its imitation of His religion then it might suffer several lifetimes as a human or even worse.

"Thank you!" Tanya bowed gratefully to her savior that had stopped her from spending another life at Being X's mercy.

It looked at Tanya sympathetically. Tanya must have been confused by its actions, but she had closed her eyes and disappeared.

Being X started laughing and shaking its head. Tanya might have believed it had escaped a fate being toyed by divine entities, but she was quickly going to learn that wasn't the case. She was now going to a chess piece on the chessboard between humanity vs the planet. A never-ending battle between Alaya and Gaia.
