Important information: The scenes will skip around a bunch, but I'm trying to make it as close to a novel as possible. This is chapter one. Enjoy.
Chapter One: The Imperial Question
It was a sunny day on Courscant. The Solo Family had gotten together for a joyous occasion. It was Anakin Solo's 11th Birthday, the day before he would join Jaina and Jason at the Academy on Yavin IV. It was 8:00 in the morning, and like all children when they can, Anakin was sleeping in. He was suddenly awoken by his door opening and C-3PO entering in.
"Master Anakin! I am hoping I am the first to wish you a most glorious birthday!" 3PO clamored.
"Uhh, what is it 3PO?" Anakin replied.
"I am merely wishing you a happy birthday, and I wanted to be first"
"Well you sure accomplished that…"
Sleep was taking Anakin Solo very quickly again.
"Thank the maker!"
Anakin Solo then fell asleep as quickly as he had been awoken. 3PO continued to wish him a happy birthday, but went unheard, and defeated, he left the room. Meanwhile, the Senate Day was just beginning.
"May I present Leia Organna Solo, President of the New Republic!" The bailiff said.
"Alright, now, as you know it is my son's 11th Birthday today, so let's get right to business. As you well know the Imperial Remnant has been silent for the past few years, so we can only hope things continue that way. Admiral Daala is presumed dead, but we cannot take her off the threat list until we have conclusive evidence." Leia said.
"The Chair recognizes Senator Chodo Habatt of Ithor!" The bailiff said.
"Let's face it! Daala's dead and the Empire is no more. We should focus our efforts on rebuilding those planets damage by the Empire" The Ithorian said.
Shortly after Habatt's comments the Senate broke down into the usual deliberations that plague it.
"Why does this have to happen today? Why? It's a big day, the last time I'll see Anakin for a while. Why do we have these stupid debates over the importation of nerfs? I have a bad feeling about this" Leia thought to herself.
