chapter 3
Two Autobots arrived on earth it was Ironhide a bot both Bumblebee and Bulkhead knew from boot camp. The other bot was known as Brawn.
"Hello Bumblebee and Bulkhead," Ironhide said. "I would like to apologize for the things I did with Wasp at boot camp I forgot how it felt to be treated that way I guess I only did it to avoid getting picked on myself," he said.
"Its okay," Bulkhead said.
"I'm sorry too for messing up a lot and getting us punished so often," Bumblebee said.
"Trust me Bumblebee back at my old job in my old town I messed up just as much as you," Ironhide said. "So I shouldn't have gone pointing fingers," he said. "So how about we start over and be friends," he said.
"I would like that very much," Bulkhead said.
"I would too," Bumblebee said.
"Thanks fellas," Ironhide said. "This is my buddy Brawn, don't let his size fool you he is very strong," he said.
"Hello," Bumblebee said.
"Hi," Bulkhead said.
"Hi," Brawn said. "Do either of you want to arm wrestle?" He asked.
"Brawn loves to arm wrestle," Ironhide told them.
"I'm good thanks," Bumblebee said.
"I guess so," Bulkhead said.
So Bulkhead and Brawn started to arm wrestle and Brawn won. "Ironhide was right you are strong," Bulkhead said.
"You are pretty strong yourself," Brawn said.
Optimus and Elita came in. Elita was carrying Rodimus. "You must be Ironhide and Brawn Ultra Magnus told me you were coming," Optimus said.
"Yes," Ironhide said. "It's nice to meet all of you," he said.
"Hello," Brawn said.
The two new bots saw Rodimus. "My look at little guy," Ironhide said. "He's as cute as a bug," he said.
"Heh Sentinel will disagree about bugs being cute," Sari said coming in.
"Who is this?" Brawn asked.
"This is Sari she is our human friend, she is staying with us, her father is missing and her father's business partner Powell took over his company and threw her out," Bumblebee said.
"Talk about some nerve doing that to a girl," Ironhide said.
"I'll say," Brawn said. "I hate guys like that they grind my gears the wrong way," he said.
Rodimus was cooing looking at the new bots. Rodimus grabbed Brawn's finger and pulled on it. "Heh, kid's gotta strong grip." Brawn said smiling managing to get his finger back from Rodimus.
Meanwhile in Decepticon base a protoform that Megatron found and brought in sparked to life. "Hello fellow future Decepitcon," Megatron said. "You shall be known as Deadlock," he said.
"Deadlock," the bot said. "I am not sure I like the taste of that name in my mouth," he said. He began to learn of the Decepticons and what they did it and saw it on the video screen in the Decepticon base. He was horrified.
Deadlock didn't even have a Decepticon insignia yet and he want to get some peace ever so often. Then he saw news reports of the Autobots, saving lives and heard all about what they did during the great war. He was amazed by it and wanted to be like the Autobots.
"Deadlock I want you to take somethings for me, and meet with Lockdown to receive the sparkling and bring it here so we can have a new brother in arms and prevent it from becoming a problem for us like the legends foretell." Megatron said.
Deadlock finally had enough. "No," he said.
"What did you say to me?" Megatron asked.
"I said no," Deadlock said. "I will not be part of this, this all wrong! I will not do this evil!" he said. "I will not kidnap or destroy innocent lives, or be a Decepticon, all you Decepticons are is cruel. I will not be you not now, not ever," Deadlock said.
"How foolish," Megatron said blasting Deadlock and beating him.
Deadlock ran out of the base badly wounded. He collapsed from pain. He was very badly hurt.
Swoop saw Deadlock laying there. He couldn't just leave him so he took him to the Autobot plant. "Let me get this straight Swoop you just found him there all beaten up?" Optimus asked.
"Megatron," Deadlock said.
"What about Megatron kid?" Ratchet asked.
"Found me as protoform, when I sparked tried to force me to be Decepticon, I refused after seeing all the terrible things in the history vids and all the things they do now, didn't want to be part of it. Refused his orders and he tried to kill me," Deadlock said. "Deserve to die, I feel like if I was born in the Decepticon base already one of them," he said about to give up.
"Nonsense," Ratchet said. "Listen kid you don't have symbols yet and you said yourself you didn't like what you saw before your training started and they were trying to force you, so I say you are no Decepticon," he said.
"I will contact Ultra Magnus and tell him what is going on," Optimus said. He went and called Ultra Magnus.
"Yes Optimus Prime what is it?" Ultra Magnus asked.
"Apparently the Decepticons found a protoform some where on earth and when he sparked to life thanks to influence of the allspark here they decide to force him to be a Decepticon, the new bot didn't like what he saw the Decepticons were doing he called it horrifying, he said when he refused to be one of them and do as Megatron said. Megatron tried to kill him, he escaped badly injured, Swoop found him and brought him here. I want to know your take of the situation. Because right now because of how he sparked to life and the fact the Decepticons tried to turn him into one of them, he thinks he is most likely one of them, but we feel he made his choice in refusing them, risking his life to get out there, I think he may have a future as an Autobot but I want to know what you think on this," Optimus said.
"What is the current condition of the new bot?" Ultra Magnus asked.
"He's hurt," Optimus said.
"Repair him and I will call you back once I talk to the council," Ultra Magnus said. Ultra Magnus talked to the council.
"Well I am proud that kid was brave enough tell Megatron he was not going to be a no good Decepticon this kid's okay in my book unlike certain Autobot," Cliffjumper said.
"Cliffjumper you only here to help fill out the report on this," Sentinel told him.
Cliffjumper just huffed.
The Council agreed that this bot should be given a chance and become an Autobot.
Meanwhile Deadlock was repaired. "I want a new name because I hate the name the Decepticons gave me left a bad taste in my mouth," Deadlock said as he moved around.
"Wow you move along gracefully like something drifting in the wind," Sari said. "That's it how about Drift?" she asked.
"Drift? I like it," he said.
Ultra Magnus commed in. "We have the decision the new bot will be given an Autobot insignia and train with you and learn how to be an Autobot and while there he can decide what path to take as an Autobot, to be a soldier or something else," Ultra Magnus said.
"Understood Ultra Magnus," Optimus said.
Then Drift came up. "This is the bot Ultra Magnus," Optimus said.
"Hello," Drift said.
"Hello young bot," Ultra Magnus said. "What is your name?"
"I took up a new name because I didn't like the one the Decepticons gave me," Drift said.
"What may the name you chose be?" Ultra Magnus asked.
"Drift," Drift said.
"Very well Drift you are to stay with Optimus Prime and his crew and learn to be an Autobot and there you will decide what you would like to do whether it be soldier, cyber ninja, officer, or scout, you decide for yourself and I hope you become a fine Autobot," Ultra Magnus said.
"Thank you sir," Drift said.
Now Drift was part of the team.
Everything was very busy.
Lockdown came in and tried to get the sparkling. But luckily the Dinobots were on guard as were the others and chased him out. Grimlock managed to burn him.
"Ouch that smarts," Lockdown said. "That kid is way too guarded," he said. "Even a professional bounty hunter like me knows when hunt won't end in success," he said. He called up Megatron. "The deal is off Megatron that kid is too heavily guarded even for me! The blasted so called Dinobots nearly burnt me to a crisp! So I am out on this!" he said. "Even I know that this won't end in success," he said. "No self respected bounty hunter in my opinion will go anywhere near this kid if they value their sparks." he told him.
"Very well then I will offer you a big amount of upgrades if you capture the Decepticon traitor Starscream," Megatron said. "I will figure out another plan to do something about the chosen one," he said.
"Fine with me, as long as I don't have to get barbecued by fire breathing dinobots," Lockdown said and hung up.
"Lord Megatron I saw the bot you beat the one we tried make into a Decepticon like us he is an Autobot now going by Drift," Blitzwing said.
"Well since he chose to be an Autobot before he got his mark, he will not be considered a traitor but an Autobot a foe to us and all Decepticons a like and will be fought and take over like the others," Megatron said.
"Megatron you are so bold and wise we will be in victory soon!" Lugnut said.
Professor Sumdac was worried and scared thinking about Sari and the Autobots. Hoping to be free some day.
At the Autobot plant, things were going well. "Well I just hope we don't see Lockdown again," Ratchet said.
"But I have feeling if he might not come back for Rodimus, he may come back for one reason or another," Prowl said.
"Whatever the reason he may come back we will be ready for him," Drift said.
"Dinobots will bash his brains," Grimlock said. The Dinobots growled in agreement.
"I like the way you think Grimlock, I like to bash Decepticon brains too," Brawn said.
Rodimus was growing bigger and bigger. There was a call from Ultra Magnus. Wasp had escaped from prison. He saw Rodimus and how big he was. "I can hardly believe how much Rodimus has grown, he is becoming a fine child," Ultra Magnus said.
"We know he is so full of energy and we have feeling he will be a fine Autobot when full grown," Optimus said.
Rodimus liked all of the Autobots there. Right now he was reaching out to Drift. "Drift he wants you," Elita said.
"Me?" Drift asked.
"Of course you two should become aquatinted," Optimus said.
Elita put Rodimus in Drift's arms. Rodimus was smiling at Drift. "Hey, he's smiling at me," Drift said and Rodimus grabbed his finger and giggled.
"He likes you Drift," Optimus said.
"I like him too," Drift said. "He's great," he said.
