Things were going quite well on Cybertron. Ultra Magnus called the high council together and called Optimus prime and the other primes in. He had an announcement to make. "I wonder what is going on," Optimus said.
"Your guess is as good as mine," Sentinel said.
"I wonder what is going to happen," said Nexus Prime.
"It must be important if he wants all of the primes here," said Maxi Prime.
The three other primes had to agree.
"It also must be important if he wants the high council here," Cliffjumper said.
"And the ministry of science," Wheeljack said.
Ultra Magnus came in with the hammer. "Everyone I called you all here for an important reason," Ultra Magnus said.
"What is it Ultra Magnus?" Optimus asked. "Is everything alright commander?" he asked.
"Everything is fine Optimus Prime," Ultra Magnus said. "There is no need to worry," he said.
"Why did you call us here sir?" Sentinel Prime asked.
"I call you all here because I decided it's time to retire as Magnus," Ultra Magnus said.
The council gasped as did Optimus, Nexus, and Maxi. "Well that is a not a big surprise as I thought it was," Sentinel said.
Optimus cast Sentinel a sharp look.
"Now I have come to select the candidates for elections for Magnus," Ultra Magnus said. "Sentinel Prime you are one of the candidates, as are you Nexus Prime, Maxi Prime you are on too, and Optimus Prime it pleases me to say you are one as well," he said.
"But sir you said this stuff wasn't in his programming," Sentinel said.
"I was wrong about that Sentinel as from what I could tell Optimus risen above all the hardships he faced and proved being a hero is in his programming and bot can create their own programming despite what others tell them what it is, there is more to being a hero than looking a part. Life is not all black and white. I discovered a bot can forge his own destiny and path. That is what I discovered with Optimus Prime and his crew. So he is worthy of being a candidate." Ultra Magnus said. "Now you all can start your campaigns." he said.
So it was time to start the campaigning. Optimus came home to tell Elita the big news. "Optimus your home, how did it go?" Elita asked.
"Ultra Magnus is retiring," Optimus said.
"What?" Elita said.
"It's true, and he selected me to be one of the candidates for Magnus," Optimus said.
"That's wonderful," Elita said.
So Optimus started his campaigning. There was a lot of work to do. Many bots saw each of the primes campaigns. Optimus told them how there was no need to fear all organics by living among them on earth he realized they deserve to be respected and protected as any Cybertronians and had Sari his friend say a few words. The crowds on Cybertron were all inspired by Optimus and Sari's words. They all cheered for him.
Not many liked it went Sentinel did the campaigning. They were mad him about curfews and closing the bars and everything still. They didn't like how he went against the council either. Nor did they like how he bad mouthed Optimus after all he and his crew had done for Cybertron. They disagreed with continuing off limiting organic planets after meeting Sari and getting to know her.
Nexus' campaign was okay but he was a little bit to nervous during his campaigning so he dropped out of the run.
Maxi decided to drop out too, he was happy as a prime.
So the only ones left in the run were Optimus and Sentinel. It was a big race. Then came the day of the voting on the first day of May. Optimus and Sentinel were not allowed to vote or do anything to tamper with the vote. The votes were being counted.
Optimus turned to Sentinel. "May the best bot win," Optimus said offering his hand.
"I plan too," Sentinel said.
Optimus sighed and shook his head.
Alpha Trion came up to the screen. "We have the winner of the run for Magnus," Alpha Trion said. "It was a good run and we all know who is the new magnus and us on the high council agree and the winner by a landslide as the humans put is..." he said.
Sentinel looked at Optimus smirking waiting for his own name to be called.
"Optimus Prime," Alpha Trion said.
Sentinel was in shock to say the least his jaw dropped. Optimus was in shock too. Everyone on Cybertron cheered with join.
Sentinel was very upset to say the least. Then he remember all he and Optimus went through and how much Optimus tried and all the times he showed to be a good leader. He realized even though he didn't like it, Optimus deserved it more than him. He was the leader Cybertron needed.
Sentinel turned to Optimus. "Congratulations Optimus," Sentinel said.
"Wow that must've hurt and taken a lot of pride to swallow," Optimus said.
"More than you know, you deserve buddy," Sentinel said shaking Optimus' hand.
Optimus came home and Elita hugged him. Rodimus cooed and Optimus kissed his wife and his son. "Well Optimus Magnus I have feeling things will continue to improve," Elita said.
It was wonderful.
Optimus was given the Magnus hammer in a big ceremony. "May I present our new Magnus, Optimus Magnus," Ultra said.
It was a perfect moment. Optimus knew he had a lot to do and he had feeling things would continue to improve. He was also thinking his son was going to continue to grow up and become strong. Optimus was hoping the best for his son.
Before they knew it five years went by and Rodimus was now a healthy and playful boy. "Daddy wake up," Rodimus said. "Daddy, daddy," he said.
"Your son is awake," Elita said.
"Before 7:00 am Elita he's your son," Optimus said.
Rodimus climbed on top of his father. "You promised to take me to see earth," Rodimus said looking at his father.
"Okay, okay I'm up," Optimus said.
Rodimus and came running out with his father. He saw Drift with Prowl, Jazz and Yoketron. "Hello ninjas I am surprised to see you up early," Optimus said.
"As are we to see you up early," Prowl said.
Sari came up. "Hey guys," Sari said.
"Hello Sari I am glad you are coming to this field trip I am going to take Rodimus on to earth." Optimus said.
"I am glad too, I haven't see my dad in a while," Sari said.
"That's great I know your father is looking forward to seeing you," Optimus said.
"Come on let's go," Rodimus said.
"Okay son just be patient," Optimus said.
They all headed out through the space bridge nexus and made it to Detroit. "Here we are this earth, in USA in the state of Michigan in the city of Detroit." Sari said.
"Cool," Rodimus said. "It is more amazing than the pictures," he said.
"I know it is," Sari said. "This where I was born and where you were born too five years ago," she told him.
"Daddy is that true was I really born on earth?" Rodimus asked.
"Yes son you were, you may have been born to me and your mother on earth, but you are 100% Cybertronian," Optimus said.
"Yes this is an amazing place," Sari said. Sari came into Sumdac tower with Optimus and Rodimus.
"Sari," Professor Sumdac said.
"Dad," Sari said.
"Hello Professor Sumdac," Optimus said.
"Hello Optimus Magnus, I heard about you becoming Magnus from a call from Sari," Professor Sumdac said. "Little Rodimus last time I saw you, you were in a diaper in your mother's arms," he said. "You have gotten so big," he said.
"Hi," Rodimus said.
Rodimus was amazed by earth to say the least. There were a lot of people and robots. It was an amazing place to say the least and everyone was very happy.
"Okay Rodimus it's time to go home," Optimus said.
"Okay daddy," Rodimus said.
Rodimus had a lot of growing to do still. Soon he was going to become the hero he was born and foretold to be.
