chapter 6
Rodimus was growing into a fine young Autobot who was brave and adventurous. He loved to explore both Cybertron and earth. He openly referred to Optimus' crew as his uncles and Sari as his cousin and Drift as a cousin too because they were pretty young like him. He also called Yoketron great uncle Yoketron and Ultra as great uncle Ultra. The two of them didn't mind because they knew it meant he felt close to them.
Rodimus came up to his father who was talking to Sentinel at the moment. "Hi dad, hi uncle Sentinel," Rodimus said.
"Hello son," Optimus said.
"Kid how many times must I tell you don't call me uncle," Sentinel said. He was very annoyed by the fact Rodimus called him uncle. He felt like the kid was pushing it.
"What brings you over here?" Optimus asked.
"Cousin Sari said she was going to show me an interesting place on earth, something called a theme park," Rodimus said.
"I see," Optimus said. "I hope your remember the rules I have for you when you go out, either on Cybertron or on earth," he said.
"I know, if I wander around on Cybertron be careful and hang out in places that I know are safe, if I see any strangers that are not my age don't talk to them, come straight home," Rodimus said. "If I go to earth always be with the bot I came with and it also applies if it is Sari. Don't do anything reckless. If I see any trouble don't try to fix it, tell the police and be home before the earth sun sets." he said. "Now may I go?" he asked.
"Yes," Optimus said.
"Alright see you later," Rodimus said heading out.
"Reminds me of us and Elita at that age," Sentinel stated.
"Don't remind me we all seemed to take turns at getting ourselves in over our heads." Optimus said.
"You said it not me," Sentinel agreed.
Rodimus made it to the space bridge and met up with Sari. "Sorry about that Sari had to tell dad what we were going to do," Rodimus said.
"I understand come on let's go," Sari said.
Soon before everyone knew it Rodimus was a teenager. He openly wanted more privacy and more free time with his friends. Rodimus was good at schooling to say the least. Rodimus even began to train at the Autobot boot camp. Many were surprised to see the Magnus' son there. But he was doing well and quickly proved he had the skills and spark of a hero.
He even started to go to the Autobot Academy where he learned much about combat and learned rather quickly. However Optimus was still very protective of his son due to the fact Alpha Trion told him his son was the Chosen one of legend and wanted to keep his son away from all harm until the time he felt was right for him to be a hero.
"Dad I am 17 I had enough of you smothering me!" Rodimus said and left in a huff.
Rodimus often would talk to Alpha Trion about things. Alpha Trion assured him Optimus only acted that way because he cared about him. Rodimus soon learned there were other Cybertronians living on different planets. Rodimus felt they should see them and reach out them.
"Rodimus we lost contact with our sister planets years before the great war and they haven't reached out to us since. We feel they chose their own path and don't want to be part of us, they are not like us and that is the way it is," Ultra said.
"I agree we need to keep separate from them," Optimus said.
The rest of council agreed accept for Alpha Trion.
Alpha Trion agreed with Rodimus. "I feel dad never listens to me," Rodimus said. "I feel like no one takes me seriously," he said.
"Rodimus don't let the other's blindness discourage you," Alpha Trion said. Alpha Trion is now the oldest bot on Cybertron. He is even older than Yoketron. Alpha Trion was the elder for a reason. He got around now by a cane because of how old he was.
Rodimus was watching the sky that night and saw something. A large star collapsed and it created a black hole. "Oh no," Rodimus said. He rushed to find his dad. "Dad there is a problem," he said.
"What is it Rodimus?" Optimus asked.
"There is a black hole," Rodimus said. "It's huge too," he said.
"Not good," Optimus said.
The ministry of science saw it too and knew this black hole was problem. This black hole was capable of destroying the universe. The Transformers all began to panic. "I think we should go to our sister planets to warn them and maybe together we can all come up with a solution," Rodimus said.
"Rodimus our sister planets made their choice when we lost contact with them we will find a solution all our own," said a council member and the rest of council agreed.
Alpha Trion knew Rodimus was right. He knew the only way was with the omega lock and planer keys of the sister planets. He knew it was time for Rodimus to become the chosen one of legend. He also knew his time was drawing to a close too.
Rodimus sighed and wondered what to do a bit later. He also was about to start an argument with his father.
An Autobot came up. "Optimus Magnus it's Alpha Trion," the bot said.
Alpha Trion was in the infirmary of Metroplex. He was very weak. The rest of the council was there. Ultra was there too. Rodimus held Alpha Trion's hand. Everyone was talking to the side.
"Rodimus," Alpha Trion said. "It is time for you to become the chosen one of legend," he said. He pulled out the Omega lock and Cybertron's planet key. "You must go to our sister planets and tell them what is happening and that we must join together to stop this threat and have a relationship with each other again." he said.
"I don't know if I can do this," Rodimus said.
"I know you can you are the only one who can, take the ship known as the lost light." Alpha Trion said. "Now go," he said.
Rodimus knew what he had to do and left. He started to pack things. He saw his mother Elita one and his uncle Prowl. Instead of stopping him they helped him pack. He hugged them good bye and he left and found the ship known as the lost light. Little did he know he had some stowaways. Rodimus saw the lights in Alpha Trion's room go out on the camera of the lost light.
He knew he had to get going.
He was piloting the ship. He saw the omega lock and planet key. He was ready for this he hoped. Then he heard something and Drift, Brawn, Ironhide and Sari all fell out of hiding. "Uncle Ironhide, Uncle Brawn, Cousin Drift and Cousin Sari?" Rodimus asked. "Why are you here?" he asked.
"We couldn't let you do this alone," Sari said.
"Fine," Rodimus said. "Okay," he said and placed the key into the omega lock. There was energy and then a light appeared it was pointing in a direction. "I think we have to follow." he said.
"I agree to that too," Sari said.
"Then let's get moving," Ironhide said.
"I agree," Brawn said.
They all headed out towards the light to this big adventure.
