When a dream (or whatever counts as a dream for an exo) Silver has is strangly similar to the mission he is given, he thinks nothing of it. He is in for a surprise, inlcuding one of his old friends who went "Missing". *Note* This is my first story so I hope you understand. The chapters will be short because im not too comfortable (or creative) with making longer chapters yet.

8. Chapter 6

Fade

"The Blighted Mind has been reactivated."

It was only a moment after Ruby and Shadow were sucked in that portal that taken vex appeared in mass numbers. "RUBY!" Silver yelled, then he tried to run to the remains of the portal even though 3 taken hydra's warped in. I rush in front of him to shield him from an onslaught of void blasts. "What the hell are you doing!" I yelled at him. "Time to argue is not now guardians, we must flee. Come with us." Praytox radios us. How the hell did it get into our comms?!. "SILVER HELP!" We turn to see Jade getting assaulted by a taken sub-mind. "We must leave now Guardians. The Absorbing Mind has found us" again, how the hell did Praytox get into our comms. "Silver, go with Praytox and Axidizer, I'll get Jade." I turn towards Silver to say. "Hell no, Not after Blight disappeared looking for you!" Silver pushes past me and runs to Jade only to get detained by the sub-mind. "SILVER WATCH OUT" I shouted too late though, because out of a portal step one of the oldest looking minotaur's i have ever seen. "Thats the Absorbing Mind" Praytox says. The Absorbing Mind is about 3 meters taller than the average Gate lord; it is covered in moss like the Sol Devise are but the moss looks like its taken blight, its radiolarian core is also made of taken blight. It raises a gun that looks like a combination of a torch hammer and a taken hive boomer and fires. let me out, no not right now _. I can save your friends. I SAID N- I am unable to finish the thought as a taken portal appears by Silver and a taken hive sword appears and blocks the Absorbing minds shot from hitting Silver. God Damit _ your welcome Guardian. "We-ee-e N-n-eeed Too-oo Goo-o m nowwzz" Axidizer teleports us to him when he says that, then Axidizer and Praytox combine their power to teleport us to a different part of Venus. " What just happened?" Silver says. I turn towards him sheathing my sword. "The Absorbing Mind being here can only mean 1 thing" I say, "And that is?", I look at him directly. "The Blighted Mind has been reactivated."

A/N: Thank you for reading my newest chapter, sorry it took so long to get out, I've been dealing with school and playing throught Lightfall. **SPOILER** Nimbus is a rookie cloud strider, of course he's gonna be a bit cringy.
