AN: Hi everyone! I'm back. I'm so sorry this took forever. I've been going through some things. I'm finally back on track. Here is the next chapter. 3rd person now!
"What do you mean they are back?" Bella asked, breathing harshly. "There is no reason for them to be back. I haven't seen them since he left me in the woods that day."
Sam nodded, "We know. We've been monitoring them." He looked a little sheepish, "Sue has been telling us about you too, but we had a feeling you knew this." Bella nodded to confirm that she did in fact know this. "Even if it was Alpha spoken for you guys to not speak to me because of that bitch." She looked at Nick, when she spoke of his sister and shrugged, "Sorry."
He just shook his head and smiled slightly, shaking his head slightly.
"I wasn't happy about it, but I did know that." Bella told them with a smile. "You guys are my family, more so now that Paul imprinted on me in Phoenix."
Everyone started laughing at that, because they all knew it was true.
Nick cleared his throat softly, "So for clarification, these Cullens are your ex's family?"
Bella nodded, hugging Paul to her front for comfort and to keep him calm, knowing he hates talking about them.
Emily smiled at her knowingly.
Seth smiled but then cleared his throat, "Um, could they be back because of the red haired vamp?"
Multiple people gasped at Seth, "No!"
"Shit." Seth mumbled.
"Red haired vampire?" Bella whispered, heart beating uncontrollably. "Victoria. Paul, that's Victoria and she wants to kill me."
"What do you mean, she wants to kill you?" Paul growled, turning around in Bella's arms to look at her.
Biting her lip she told him about how Laurent was the vampire with the dreads that the wolves tore apart in the meadow. She told him about how he first met her when she was with the Cullens, during the thunderstorm, how James, Victoria's mate, became obsessed with her scent. Taking a deep breath, she told him how James bit her in Phoenix, but Edward saved her by sucking out the venom from her body.
"The Cullens destroyed James for that. He's gone. Victoria wants revenge." Bella finished. "She wants me dead because James is."
Paul growled low in his throat, "That's not happening."
Bella smiled softly at him, rubbing her hands along his neck. "I know, and I'm so grateful for that."
Sam cleared his throat softly, "We're going to have to meet with them, Bella."
Bella looked at him with wide eyes, breathing heavily. "Do we have to? I mean, I know we have to but damn it."
Paul tightened his arms around her. "We won't let anything happen to you. No matter what."
Bella nodded, "I know."
"Yeah, Bella, you're one of us. Have been for a long while now." Seth told her. Everyone agreed. "Plus you're my sister now anyways," he said with a wide smile.
Leah nodded, "I hated you at first but you're okay." Bella laughed, as did everyone else. "To be honest, if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be here," Leah said with a smile.
"So when are we going to be meeting the Cullens?" Jared asked.
Everyone looked at Jacob. "Shit. For a minute I forgot I'm the one calling the shots now," He said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I honestly don't want it."
Sam shook his head at the Alpha, "You're the one that did it to yourself."
Nick looked confused, before asking, "What do you mean?"
Sam looked at him somberly, "Jacob, the Chief's son, fought me to the title of Alpha, when he wasn't ready. All because, Lydia, pushed him to, to be able to push Bella here out of our lives. All because of jealousy."
"Jealousy led her to do that? Can you explain a little bit? I know a little, but I'm not fully understanding." Lydia's brother, Nick asked, confusion written on his face. "I know she used her magic to push an imprint on your Alpha, but am still a bit confused about the rest."
Jacob is the one that answered, much to the surprise of everyone else. "When I met her, I didn't know she could do Makah magic. I legitimately thought I imprinted on her. She made me question everything. So I fought for the right to be Alpha, even though I wasn't ready for it. It may be my birthright, but I'm far from ready." He took a deep breath, before continuing, "I wanted to be Alpha, but only when I was one hundred percent ready. So much has happened in so little time, it feels like barely any time has passed."
Paul nodded, "Today alone has been extremely eventful. I don't even know if Bella's dad is even aware that we are back." He looked at her with a grin.
Bella gasped, "Oh shit. I'm so dead." She looked at Seth and Leah. "Did you tell my dad by any chance?" Leah shook her head, whereas Seth mouthed no. "Damn it." She looked at Jacob, "This is your fault." Jacob laughed at her.
"I'll take responsibility if he asks." he told her with a chuckle.
Bella pointed at Jacob, "You will because I will tell him, and Sue that I'm here because of you."
Jacob shuddered, "Please don't bring Sue into this." Leah laughed out loud.
"She's already in it, when you forced me not to phase." Leah narrowed her eyes at Jacob. "She's pissed at you. Highly."
Jacob bowed his head. "I'm sorry about that. I really am." Jacob took a deep breath, "I'm sorry for everything. I know it's going to take time for everyone to forgive me, if you choose to even forgive me. I will definitely understand if you don't. I don't even know if I would even forgive myself, if I was in your shoes."
Bella looked at Jacob. "Jake, I'm sure I can speak for everyone, when I say, it's going to take time to fully forgive you. But that is definitely a step in the right direction."
Nick sat back watching the interactions with everyone. "So Lydia forced you to fight for the Alpha position? Cut off your friends?"
"She made him cut ties with his best friend, alienated her from the entire pack. No one was allowed to speak to her, with the exception of Leah and Seth but only in passing as their parents married each other." Emily explained. "Sorry for butting in, but you guys kept getting off subject."
Murmured apologizes scattered through the group.
Bella took a deep breath, "So the question remains, when do we meet with the Cullens?"
