Chapter-2: The Stroll
B POV
"Hello Bella" came the voice of Edward
"Hello Edward" I replied curtly, after that we began our stroll the sunset was a beautiful shade of purple but a shrill voice interrupted our perfect moment
"Hey Eddie lets go to supper tonight" she said, the face was somewhat familiar. It was HAILEY YOUNG! In so little time I've lived in Chicago I only known Hailey for a very short time and from what I can gather from her behavior about Edward that she absolutely dotted on him and she also was according to the rumors was the most improper young lady in the whole town.
"Sure Hailey just let me tell ISABELLA here that I'm not interested in her" Edward said casually with some hint of irritation and anger that was directed towards me in that one moment my heart broke into million pieces and I fell to the floor and everything went blank when I opened my eyes I was shocked to find myself in my own room in my own house when I checked the time it was just 7:30 AM on the clock. I felt relief rushing through my body when I realized I was just merely dreaming. Once I came to my senses I was baffled to learn that I cared so much for a person whom I've met only a day ago.
When I finished my breakfast I began to decide what I would wear for the evening walk with Edward….just thinking about him made the butterflies in my stomach flutter how can someone have that kind of effect on me. Whenever I thought about the stroll I would get very excited and nervous at the same time and the thought of my nightmare turning into reality would terrify me. Finally I decided on a forest green evening dress with some lace work on the waist and arms it was a simple but elegant dress and on top of that it was very comfortable. Again I went deep in anticipation of the evening will it turn out magical or somehow it will turn out to be a nightmare…three quick but soft knocks on the door broke into my musing and I immediately knew who it was. I stood up and rushed towards the door as fast as I could without tripping. I opened the door and there he stood looking as gorgeous as ever.
"Hello Edward" I breathed, I didn't even knew when I stopped breathing
"Hello Bella are you ready for the evening?"
"Yes, I am" I said a little breathless
He chuckled softly and held out his hand "so shall we?" he asked calmly
"Sure" I replied as I took his hand. There it was again the spark as our hands touched.
He took us the park we just walked aimlessly basking in the silence. Usually this kind of quiet is awkward but this one was not it was somehow compatible and peaceful
"So Bella where are you from?" he asked suddenly out of nowhere
"I was born in forks, Washington and we have moved a lot due to my father's job. What about you have you always lived in Chicago?"
"Yes, I was born here only. I spent my whole childhood here in this very city"
"Oh! I see." And then there was it again the silence
We quietly walked through the park taking in every beautiful aspect of it when suddenly my gaze fell on the clock and I realized that it was time for us to retreat to our respective homes. I didn't realized I had stopped walking until Edward called my name to ask what was wrong but he was cut short as he followed my gaze and realized it was late.
"Oh! I'm so sorry Bella I didn't realize that it was so late"
"it's quite alright Edward. I also was quite caught up" I said with a laugh
"I would like to see you again sometime" he said shyly
"well I was thinking the same" I said cheerfully I was happy that he wanted to see me again.
"let me escort you to your house" he said politely yet cheerfully
