(A/N: I do not own Paw Patrol, enjoy!)

"Did you ever have any crazy plans to ask me out?" Marshall asked.

"For me to ask you out?" Everest yipped in surprise, "but the guy is supposed to ask the girl out."

"Since when have we ever let ourselves be bound by societal norms?" Marshall asked with a laugh.

"Says the firefighting Dalmatian to the mountain rescue Husky" Everest pointed out.

"It is a family thing, and you are amazing at it" Marshall defended their occupations of choice, "and you are evading the question my dear."

"Am I? I hadn't noticed" Everest said demurely with a flutter of her eyes.

"I'm sure, and quite distracting too" Marshall laughed, leaning down to kiss Everest, "but the question remains, what was your crazy plan to ask me out?"

"Obviously not distracting enough," Everest giggled.

In the Dark of Night

Everest was laying out in the the sun in front of her's and Jake's cabin thinking. What should I do this Friday night? I haven't done anything in weeks… It had been a particularly busy month, with lots of rescues of hikers all over the mountain and Everest was enjoying the bright sun shiny day without any rescues. You know, I have an idea for what I can do tonight… the lavender husky smirked to herself as a plan formed in her mind. "Jake, I'm going to go out on the trails for a bit" Everest called to her caretaker.

"Ok, just be back by dinner dudette" Jake called back from inside their cabin.

The inspired husky trotted over to her pup house. With a bark, she changed it into her snowcat and hopped into the cockpit. Revving the engine, Everest headed for a cave she had found. The drive was picturesque as always, with flowers blooming and birds singing in the forest.

Everest pulled up to the the cave and parked her snowcat. Hopping down, she grabbed some rope and tied it off to a tree. Then, she grabbed a headlamp and attached the band around her head. Coiling the rope around herself, Everest slowly made her way into the cave.

It was just as pitch black as she remembered. With only the headlamp to light her way, Everest carefully snaked her way through the tunnels towards her destination.

Finally, a light shone up ahead as Everest walked into a crystal cavern. Crystal stalactites and stalagmites jutted out from the ceiling and floor in an intricate pattern. Everest wove between them until she came to the very center of the cavern which opened into a clearing.

Dropping the rope, Everest got to work. First, she barked out her grapple and drug over a large, flat, rock that would serve as the centerpiece. Then, she took the few things she had brought and arranged them just so. Taking a step back, Everest nodded happily at her preparations. Everything was in easy reach, just in case. Everest packed up the things she was taking back out and followed the rope back out of the cave.

When she reached her snowcat, Everest jumped back up and headed down the trail. The happy Husky hummed a tune as she drove, excited for tonight.

The rest of the evening passed quickly. Everest and Jake had dinner while watching a movie. Jake fell asleep towards the end and Everest carefully dragged him up into his bed. Then she went to her own bed to wait for the opportune moment.

At the lookout, the pups were settling down for the night as well. They had been playing Pup-Pup Boogie and Marshall had ended the night with an epic tailspin that turned into an epic crash with all the pups. It also happened to boost him to a new high score.

"This game is wigged" Zuma grumbled at the loss, "all those extrwa points from collecting extwa pups shouldn't count."

"Don't feel bad Zuma" Marshall said with a smile as he put a paw around him, "I couldn't do that again if I tried."

"But it would be guaranteed to happen if you didn't try" Skye giggled.

"You always have the most epic wipeouts" Rocky added with a smile.

Rubble was about to say something when he was suddenly overwhelmed by a yawn. The yawn immediately spread to the other pups.

"Ok pups, bed time" Ryder said with a smile from the couch where he had been watching.

"Do we *yawn* have to?" Chase tried to protest.

"Yeah, we aren't s-*yawn*-sweepy at all" Zuma added.

"Uh huh" Ryder said, unconvinced.

"Maybe we are a teensy *yawn* weensy bit tired" Skye admitted.

"Goodnight everyone" Marshall yawned as he padded outside to his pup house. The rest of the pups followed.

"You are all such good pups" Ryder said quietly as he followed them, tucking in each of his tuckered out pups before taking himself to bed as well. All was quiet and still.

In the darkest part of the night, a shadow stole up the hill to the lookout. Keeping to the shadows, the shadowy figure snuck into a red and white pup house.

Marshall was sleeping peacefully, but he woke up slightly when he heard his pup house door open. "Who's there?" he asked sleepily. No sooner had the words left his mouth when he felt someone jump on top of him and press something against his muzzle. Marshall immediately recognized the smell of nitrous oxide. Oh no! Someone is trying to kidnap me, I have to… Marshall's train of thought ended as the inhaled anesthesia took immediate effect.

Marshall's assailant tenderly wrapped the unconscious Dalmatian up in a damp burlap sack and then scooped him up. Stealthy as could be, the shadow retraced their steps out of Marshall's pup house, through the shadows and down the hill to their waiting vehicle.

Marshall awoke to cold air blowing over his exposed tummy. He tried to move his limbs, to roll over, to move at all but something was holding him in place. Fighting the panic that threatened to overwhelm his nind Marshall forced himself to breathe somewhat normally. Taking stock of his situation, Marshall found he was tied down flat on his back with rope to a cold flat stone. His limbs were tied to what appeared to be crystal pillars going from floor to ceiling. He was also bathed in moonlight that illuminated the center of a cavern, but left the edges dark. It was really quite beautiful. Marshall guessed it was decently sized based on the height of the ceiling, but he had no way to confirm that. Marshall started trying to wiggle his way out of his bonds when a voice stopped him cold.

"You don't want to be doing that" a deep, distinctly male, voice intoned.

"No, I really think I do" Marshall whined, head whipping around trying to find the source of the voice.

"I could show you amazing things…" the voice promised, "all you have to do is answer me these questions three, ere your freedom you seek."

Mustering far more courage than he felt, "ask me the questions, I'm not afraid" he responded defiantly. Three little questions, it can't be that hard, right? Marshall thought to himself.

"What is your name?" the voice asked.

"Marshall" Marshall replied, that was easy he thought.

"What is your quest?" The voice asked.

"To seek the holy grail" Marshall responded automatically, no, wait, oh ****!

A rock fell from the ceiling above, Marshall shrieked in terror at his mistake as the rock fell to crush his skull…and landed with a thud just above his head.

"While I appreciate your perfect recitation of the line, I hope this serves as a reminder to take this seriously" the voice said dryly.

"Yes, absolutely" Marshall responded, very thankful to still be alive. Strangely, the rock had fallen perfectly to rest his head on, like a pillow.

"Let's start again" the voice said calmly, "what is your name?"

"Marshall" Marshall replied, laser focused on the questions now.

"What is your quest?" the voice asked.

This time, Marshall paused to think before answering. "To keep Adventure Bay and everyone safe, to use my skills to serve others."

Silence reigned for a moment. "I see I must be more specific with you" the voice intoned gravely. "That is noble and just to be sure, and certainly what you have dedicated your life towards, but what is the true quest of your heart?"

Marshall cocked his head to think on the puzzle. What does my heart desire deep down inside? To save and take care of others, to love my family, to be loved… Marshall's eyes widened at the realization. "True love" he answered softly.

"Very good" the voice intoned happily, "and from whom do you desire true love?"

"From my family, my team, they are one and the same" Marshall replied.

Marshall yelped as a bucket of ice water emptied itself on his head.

"Is that the best answer you can come up with?" The voice spat back at him, "the nebulous family love that you give so freely every day? Tell me who you love with all your heart, who you would give you life for, who you want to be with forever!" There was no mistaking the ire in the voice.

"But that is who I love!" Marshall protested. Another bucket of water emptied itself upon his head, this one just barely below scalding hot.

"You will tell me" the voice intoned ominously, "and I will resort to torture if I must."

Something snapped inside Marshall, "then do your worst because I'll never tell!" the Dalmatian spat back before shutting his eyes against the imminent pain.

Nothing happened.

Marshall opened one eye cautiously. Looking around, he saw a pup, dressed in all black and shrouded in shadow, staring at him from the side, "just remember" the voice softly said, "that you brought this on yourself…"

A feather appeared in the pup's paw as he moved closer and dangled it over Marshall's nose. "What are you going to do with that?" Marshall snorted, "try and get me to sneeze the answer out?"

"No…" the voice said evilly, "something far worse…"

Marshall's eyes widened as he felt the feather start to dance over his fur. No, it cannot be! Marshall squirmed as he tried to fight the feelings.

"Oh yes, I know your secret" the voice said, "every single spot where you are ticklish, and just how ticklish you are…"

"No, please, not that!" Marshall whimpered as he continued trying to fight the urges. His limbs were already straining against his rope bonds as he tried to pull away; but there was nowhere to go.

"Then tell me, who do you seek a bond of true love with" the voice whispered.

"Never!" Marshall said between clenched teeth.

"You will break in the end" the voice said with a sigh, "no matter if we are here all night…"

Marshall gasped as the tickling intensified. His gasp turned into a yelp as the tickling began breaking through his mental defenses.

"Never" Marshall repeated before his convulsions overtook him. Marshall yelped and whined as he thrashed, the ropes straining but continuing to hold. After several minutes, the tickling finally paused.

Marshall gasped for breath. "You know, this would be so much better for you if you just admitted who you loved," the voice said soothingly.

"What do you want with that information?" Marshall panted.

"My business is my own," the voice replied gruffly, "but it is for your benefit and mine that I seek it."

"I doubt that," Marshall retorted, "you abduct me, threaten me with death, and torture me, how could you possibly have my best interest in mind?"

"Because I do," the voice replied angrily, "now tell me what I want to know!"

"Fine, Skye!" Marshall spat back.

Another bucket of ice water emptied itself onto Marshall's head, this time making him splutter as he coughed up water.

"Don't lie to me, you are never any good at it" the voice said deadpan.

Marshall winced and his fur blanched; if his captor could tell when he was lying, that meant that he wouldn't rest until he knew the truth. But Marshall didn't want to tell him that truth; a truth known only to a very select few. And he didn't know how much his abductor knew about him or how long he could hold out. But he resolved to hold out as long as possible.

"I'll never tell," Marshall said defiantly.

His captor shrugged. "You really should just tell me" the pup said, tracing the feather across Marshall's very ticklish tummy, making him squirm. "What bad thing could possibly come of you telling me?"

"The world would know," Marshall panted as he once again struggled to retain his composure, "she would know."

"Maybe she should know," the pup said. Then the tickle torture resumed. Marshall bucked against his bindings, whimpering and howling as the tickles assaulted him again.

"NEVER!" Marshall managed to howl. The tickling intensified, a soft fluffy paw joining the fray and immediately pushed Marshall to the very brink.

"She is entitled to answers!" the pup barked back in his face.

"You want answers?" Marshall barked in reply.

"I want the truth!" The pup barked back.

"You can't handle the truth!" Marshall barked, unable to hold back any longer.

"Who is it?!" the pup barked back demandingly.

"The most wonderful pup in the world!" Marshall barked.

"WHO?!"

"EVEREST!" Marshall howled as loud and long as he could.

Marshall was panting hard when his howl finally finished. Then he noticed he was not being tickled anymore. In fact, he felt a towel being run through his fur. Impossibly quick, he was dry. "Was that so hard to admit?" his captor pup said soothingly.

"Wha-What are you doing?!" Marshall stammered as he felt two very soft and fluffy paws running through his now dry chest fur in a very tender manner.

"I knew I could get you to admit it" the voice answered as the pup climbed up on top of the stone table where Marshall was bound to tower over him. Marshall heard a barely audible click. "Silly Marshall, this was always in our best interest…" a very different voice continued, one that lived in Marshall's head. Marshall's breath vanished as the pup straddling him removed the hood they were wearing, revealing their face.

"Everest!?" Marshall yipped in surprise.

"I told you it was for your benefit," Everest whispered, her blue eyes locked with Marshall's own in a seductively hypnotic gaze. Marshall barely had a moment to comprehend the reveal.

Striking as quick as a snake, Everest's lips collided with Marshall's in a hungry kiss. The Husky dropped herself on Marshall, wrapping her forepaws around his neck and her hind paws around his waist.

Marshall instantly gave up on attempting conscious thought, and allowed himself to be consumed by their kiss as Everest forced his muzzle open with her tongue. On instinct, Marshall fought back, his own tongue matching her ferocity. The two love pups continued until they had to break for air.

"Not be be picky," Marshall panted, "but why am I still tied up?"

"Because I'm not done having my way with you" Everest said huskily as she squeezed Marshall tighter. Any protest Marshall may have had was immediately forgotten as Everest picked up where they had left off.

"Do I eventually get untied?" Marshall asked.

"I'm sure I would untie you eventually" Everest replied with a playful smile, "but that is not part of this story. There is one more part to tell."

"What part could that be?" Marshall asked quizzically, "we got together, didn't we?"

The next morning, Chase yawned and stretched before padding outside at the normal time. He didn't see Marshall anywhere, so he walked over to their normal spot to wait.

Minutes ticked past and Marshall didn't show. Curious as to what was keeping his brother, Chase walked over to Marshall's pup house and poked his head inside. He didn't see Marshall, but he did find a note. Chase's eyes bugged out as he read the note. "Ruff, megaphone!" He barked.

"PAW PATROL, WAKE UP! ALL PAWS ON DECK, MARSHALL HAS BEEN PUPNAPPED!"

Everyone was instantly awake and sprinting to the elevator. In their hurry, the pups all collided with one another and tumbled into a heap.

"No time for pupfoolerly, we have to go, we have to find MARSHALL!" Chase cried out as the pups picked themselves up. Seconds later, the pups leaped out to their spots.

"Paw Patrol, ready to find Marshall Ryder Sir!" Chase sounded off.

"Then you better tell us what's going on Chase" Ryder replied "because I have no clue."

"Sorry Ryder sir" Chase replied, "I must have got a little carried away."

"It's ok Chase," Ryder replied, rubbing him behind the ears, "Marshall being pupnapped is very serious, so we should find him quick."

"Yes sir, Ryder sir" Chase replied. "I went to check on Marshall this morning when he didn't show up for our normal pre-wake up chat and I found this note in his pup house." Chase handed Ryder the note.

"'To whom it may concern,'" Ryder read out loud, "'I have taken Marshall somewhere, you'll get him back when I'm done with him, maybe. Don't try to find us.' There is a paw print at the end too." Ryder noted, holding it up for all the pups to see.

"We have to get Marshall back, who knows what this evil person could be doing to him!" Chase whined before turning to sprint to the slide.

"Hold on Chase" Ryder said commandingly, "we need to know where he is at before we go running off to find him."

"But Ryder, how are we going to find that out?" Skye asked.

"He could be anywhere!" Zuma added.

"And probably starving" Rubble added.

"We could check his pup tag" Rocky suggested.

"Excellent idea Rocky" Ryder said, relieved that at least one of his pups was thinking clearly at the moment. Ryder quickly pulled up the map on the big screen. Typing in the commands to locate Marshall, the map immediately recentered on his location.

"Why is Marshall on Jake's mountain in the middle of nowhere?" Chase asked, surprised.

"And why is Everest's icon right next to his?" Skye added.

"Maybe she heard him scweaming for help and went to save him," Zuma offered.

"Ok, let's go save them!" Chase yipped as he took off for the slide again.

"Maybe we should call first," Rocky said, "just to see if he is there or if it will just be the start of our search."

"Good idea Rocky," Ryder said before hitting the call button.

Marshall and Everest were sound asleep in each other's paws. The two love pups were quite tuckered out from their night together. Everest had eventually untied Marshall. To say that he had been inspired was an understatement. Everest was practically glowing with happiness at how their night had gone.

Their sleep was interrupted by the sound of a pup tag going off. Out of reflex, Everest swiped at her tag. "Paw Patrol, what is your emergency?" she asked. When nothing happened, she realized that it wasn't her tag going off. She also realized that was probably for the best as she was still wrapped up in Marshall's paws. Too late she put together whose tag was ringing and what was about to happen.

"Marshall here, what's up Ryder?" Marshall said groggily."

"Marshall? Everest?" Ryder stuttered in surprise. To say that he was not expecting to see his mountain rescue pup snuggled up in the paws of his firefighter and medic was a gross understatement. Ryder was too shocked to say anything.

Everest decided to say something before anyone else. "Before you ask, yes I kidnapped Marshall and he is s mine now, but you can borrow him if there is an emergency."

Silence answered the Husky.

"Ok, I'm going to take your silence as the only emergency was Marshall had been kidnapped, which is now solved, so we'll see you later then, bye!" Everest promptly hung up Marshall's tag for him.

In the lookout, Ryder and all the pups were still speechless. "What just happened?" Ryder wondered out loud.

"Are Marshall and Everest…" Chase started.

"... together now?" Skye finished.

"I think so," Rocky softly answered.

"They looks so happy together" Rubble noted.

"Yeah, Evewest was pwactically glowing" Zuma added.

"I am so not ready for this," Ryder said, putting his head in his hands.

Back in the cave, Marshall and Everest had already forgotten about the rest of the team. "What shall we do with our day my love?" Marshall inquired with a stretch.

"I have a few ideas" Everest said with a wink that made her intentions very clear as she tilted her head back to kiss Marshall again.

"So where is this cave?" Marshall asked.

"Not too far from the cabin" Everest replied, "10 minute drive from the cabin at the most, maybe 20 if we walk."

"Do we have any other plans tonight?" Marshall asked. It was in fact a Friday night.

"I have something in mind" Everest replied coquettishly as she stood to walk out.

"Without the ropes and tickle torture, right?" Marshall asked with a laugh as he also stood. Everest just kept walking.

"Without the ropes and tickle torture right?" Marshall asked again, a hint of nervousness creeping into his voice.

"I guess you have to come along and find out" Everest replied coyly before walking out the door of Marshall's pup house with a flirtatious swish of her tail.

Marshall followed her out, his tail wagging vigorously. "Wait, were you in heat when you came up with this plan?"

"Maybe."

(A/N: Special thanks to MarshalB for the idea for this reverse chapter, it was quite fun to write. Got an idea for a plan? Let me know!)
