Still Holding My Hand
If there was anything Brady got an A in, it would be complaining.
When Mack had agreed to walk to school with her boyfriend, she hadn't expected it to be such torture. The moment he had picked her up, he had gone off listing things he hated about school. The brunette couldn't get a word in. Brady knew how serious she was about her education, so she couldn't help but be offended. Whenever she tried to argue, he would interrupt her. When they finally arrived on campus, she had the biggest headache.
But that all flew out of the window as soon as she locked eyes with a certain someone. A faint redness tinted her cheeks as she tried to process what she saw. Her eyes were playing tricks on her. Did Mack really miss Lela that much that she was hallucinating her? Or maybe it was just the exhaustion of listening to Brady complain for the past fifteen minutes. Last Mack checked, her girlfriend took her classes online. She even paid for it herself with the money she earned working with her brother. They weren't exactly the wealthiest of people, but they made decent money at their repair shop. Enough to send Lela to online school, that is. Not that there was anything wrong with that. Personally, Mack admired how serious Lela treated her education. Smart, dedicated, fun, passionate- who said the perfect girl didn't exist? She froze when two arms wrapped around her waist. Craning her neck to the side, she panicked even more. Oh, shit. Lela really was here.
"Baby Love." The raven-haired girl hummed, snuggling into her, right in front of Brady. Luckily for the two of them, he wasn't paying an ounce of attention. Not that that was anything new. Lela pouted when she noticed how pale her girlfriend's face had become, "Sweetness?" She searched the girl's eyes for answers, frowning. The brunette pushed her off and grabbed her wrist, pulling her away and into the Janitor's closet, of all places.
"Lovely." Lela cupped Mack's face, "What's wrong? Here, I know what'll help."
"Lae."
It was too late, Lela was already kissing her. Mack stretched an arm out and locked the door mid-kiss. She then wrapped her arms around the biker's neck and deepened it, smiling against the girl's lips.
"You're so pretty, Emmy." The raven-haired girl breathed out, pinning her against the wall and deepening the kiss. "So, so pretty."
"No talking, only kissing."
The two didn't realize how long they had been making out, really. All they knew is that they were both going to be really late for class if they didn't leave soon. Neither of them cared about that right now, though.
"I… Thought… You… Took… Online… Classes." Mack spoke between kisses. The raven-haired girl pulled back and smiled at her girlfriend, "I did. Now, I'm here though. We get to be like this every day."
"Every day?" Mack beamed, "Wait… No. No, we can't. Not in public."
"Why? You better not be ashamed of me!"
"Don't be stupid, Lela." The brunette scoffed, "It's just… My boyfriend goes to school here. That was him, earlier. The one talking on and on and on."
"We'll make it work." Lela assured, pecking the surfer on the lips and rubbing her arm soothingly, "We always do, don't we Angel?" She then licked her tongue and wiped the lipstick stains off Mack's face with her wet finger. "What did I say yesterday, huh? You're mine. I'm not leaving anytime soon. It's you and me. Always you and me."
"For Fuck's sake, Lela." Mack stomped her foot and huffed, irritated. "Okay. If… If we're going to do this here then there's some ground rules. Firstly, no pet names. Just call me Mack from now on, 'kay?"
"No."
"No?"
"No." Lela shook her head, "You are not just Mack to me. You are my Baby Girl, my Lovely, my Honey, my Angel, my-"
"Okay, okay, I get it." Mack interrupted with a slight blush on her cheeks, "You can pick one. The most platonic one you can think of. You can call me whatever you want when we're alone."
"...Okay." Lela pouted, "Honey."
"Perfect." The surfer then unlocked the door, hyperventilating at the time she saw on the clock. They had missed the entire first period. Shit. Lela grabbed hold of her girlfriend's hand and squeezed it, "You're okay, Honey. Deep breaths. We can make it to our next class on time if we hurry."
"I hope so." The brunette smiled, "I'll miss you, Lae."
""I'll miss you too."
They stared at each other until they heard the warning bell ring and they reluctantly parted.
"Hey, Mack." Brady greeted with that dopey smile of his, "Missed you during first period. Did you get lost?"
"Yeah." She forced a smile, "Yeah, that's what happened."
"Maybe if you walked with me all the way you wouldn't have." He teased. Mack just looked down at her notebook. This year was going to suck.
