Hello everyone, I'm back with another chapter! To be honest, I was either tipsy or kinda drunk when I started...I started this chapter out, but in any case, have fun reading, and don't be shy about sending a review and such.

It was the next morning and we're currently featuring in the Salvatore house where Damon is currently in the dining room holding a shot glass filled with human blood. Well, it's donated through a blood bag but not everyone cares enough to want to know the details of the origin of the blood came from. Damon certainly didn't. Music played with a hint of vibration, telling Damon his phone was ringing. He zoomed in to the office and picked up his phone.

"Hello, Damon Salvatore here speaking. Ah, Jenna, what a delightful surprise. What can I do for you?" He asked her, a charming smirk etched on his face. Damon was silent for a moment as he listened to Jenna speak. His eyes grew cold, his smirk went grim as his free hand clenched into a fist. What Jenna had to say surprised him. "Thank you for telling me about that Jenna. I'll see what I can do about my darling little brother Stefan." He told her, hanging up the phone.

His eyes gleamed darkly until he spotted the poker sticks by the fireplace. He swung one up in the air and casually laid it upright on his left shoulder and zoomed off.

WITH ELENA

Elena smiled up at her boyfriend, Stefan. It had taken some convincing on her part but Elena had been able to convince Jenna to let her and Stefan have the house to themselves for a romantic dinner date. She was currently at the counter chopping up some vegetables. She had been wanting to try this soup recipe she saw on Pinterest, and today was the perfect chance for her to try it out. Stefan was leaning on the counter opposite her sipping on some wine.

"You know, I'm glad we were able to get some alone time. I feel like with everything going on lately, we rarely get to be alone." Elena said with a bright smile. Stefan nodded with a slight grin. "I agree, we certainly needed this time for ourselves." He answered her. A crash sounded in the living room, causing Elena to jump a bit, and Stefan to stiffen upright, putting his wine down on the countertop. They stopped what they were doing and made their way to the living room. There, Elena gaped with a horrified expression on her face.

The living room had been literally trashed. The couch had been shredded, and the couch pillows that had been filled with features were flying all over the place. Elena shook her a bit to clear off her surprise and spotted Damon in the middle of all the chaos. Stefan was tense when he saw it was Damon. If his entrance meant anything, then he heard what Stefan had tried to do.

Threatened Vanessa into leaving. He closed off all the emotions from his face as he glared at the other vampire. "Damon." He said sternly. Damon stood upright from his crouch and gave the couple a dark smirk. "Stefan, Stefan, Stefan." He chanted in a sing-song-like voice. He straightened up his body and started walking around them slowly, like a predator eyeing up its prey. "Damon, what are you doing?" Elena asked him exasperatedly.

"Be quiet, Elena. This is between me and my darling little brother. You see, your pretty aunt Jenna, just called me with some interesting news." Damon said with a sneer. Stefan shrugged his shoulders in response. Elena wanted to scoff, but she knew she would have been ignored. "What's so great about Vanessa anyways?" She complained rather loudly. "She's not that hot." She said scathingly. Damon just gave her a dark look. "Oh, as opposed to yourself." He remarked on her statement, making her flush in slight humiliation.

"She was getting too close, Damon. Even have a friend that will do anything for her should anyone attempt something. It was either scare her into leaving Virginia altogether, or get rid of her." He said the last word with a casual shrug. Damon scoffed at him. "Well, Stefan, you should've realized something about Vanessa and the little detail to that is that Vanessa is a stubborn little thing. you try to tell her what she should do, she'll retaliate and do the opposite. Gosh isn't that just so frustrating?" Damon said mockingly.

Stefan glared at him with harsh eyes. "Then I guess she'll simply have to watch her back. The danger is lurking around at every corner after all." He said it in a way that sounded like either a promise or a threat. Elena almost couldn't tell the difference. Damon glared at him and flashed off, using his speed. Stefan cried out in pain when Damon slammed the fireplace poker stick into his chest, narrowly missing his heart. He grabbed Stefan's neck and started squeezing, cutting off his air supply.

His brother gasped in pain and tried to move his hands away so he could breathe, Damon didn't let up on his hold and squeezed tighter, making his younger brother choke. "This is a warning, Stefan. Mess with Vanessa again and next time, I won't miss." He whispered harshly and left the house.

Stefan coughed as air rushed back into his lungs and shakily pulled the stick out of his chest. Elena bent over to help him up a bit. "So you threatened Vanessa?" She asked him, curious. He nodded as he pressed against the wound to stop the bleeding, willing up enough for it starts closing together. "I find that kind of hot honestly, I never really liked her in the first place." She said with a devious look to her. He smirked at her.

"Believe it or not, I was hoping she'd rebel against the idea of being told to leave. It'd make things more interesting." He said with a light chuckle at the end as Elena gave him a look. "I'd say so." She said with a light purr and sauntered off into the kitchen.

Stefan's eyes darkened with blood lust, he breathed deeply however and gave Elena a dark look, and snuck her off with a deep kiss, making her squeal out a giggle along the way.

BACK TO VANESSA

Vanessa huffed a bit to herself rather irritably when people kept giving her weird looks in the grocery store. She was only here to stock up on her kitchen, but apparently, people want to have an off day and create drama everywhere she goes. She looked along the shelves to see what it was she wanted through her list, so far she had been able to grab sugar, cream, milk, and her favorite tea, now she just had some items like coffee and some ingredients to add to the recipe she was hoping to try soon. She looked up at the signs and grinned in victory when she listed the items she was looking for and saw the different rows of pasta and the bread used for tacos.

Just exactly what she was looking for. She grabbed the swirly-looking pasta, unsure of the name in of itself before grabbing a few of the taco shells she believed they were called. It was an interesting mix, but she was curious enough to want to try it and see if she wanted it more often. She jumped a bit when she felt someone tap her on her shoulder and she spun around, ready to defend herself if she needed to only to breathe out a sigh of relief when she saw it was just Jeremy.

He raised his hands up high in defense, giving her a light smirk. "Woah there, it's just me, Ness. I uh, heard what happened. Just wanted to see if you're doing okay." He said to her softly. Vanessa sighed and relaxed her tense frame and gave him a small smile. "Thank you, Jeremy, you're the first person who asked me that all day. Everyone else just wants to stare and gossip like old biddies like they don't have anything else better to do." She gripped him as she resumed pushing her cart down the aisle with Jeremy walking beside her.

He laughed a little. "Well, it is a small town. People are going to talk when there's an interesting drama going on in town. I only knew it happened because Damon paid him a visit and wrecked the living room up a bit. Guess he was trying to warn him to back off." He told her, shoving his hands into his pockets as he watched her observe the shelves.

Vanessa looked at him with surprise. "Damon threatened him over me? Why on earth would he do that?" She asked him, bewildered at the concept of Damon fighting against his own brother. Jeremy shrugged his shoulders at that question. "Who knows except him? I think you might be the only true friend Damon has and he probably just wants to make sure you're safe or something." He suggested causing her to hum thoughtfully. Jeremy walked away after a few more moments and Vanessa decided to hurry up to finish her grocery shopping so that she could get home sooner rather than later.

It took almost an hour to get all of her shopping done, but she had finally finished and was able to get home on time so she could get ready for her date with Elijah. She flitted about in her kitchen, unpacking everything to help distract her idle hands. She was definitely nervous, she had never gone on a date before, and judging by Elijah, everything will be kept a little bit classy for their first night together as a couple, even if they are mates.

She got done with what she needed to do for the groceries having put them all away as she continued to think to herself. She listened to the house for a bit, almost forgetting that Draco was here with her as well. Silence. She frowned with concern so she made her way up the stairs and made it to the second door on the right and knocked on it. "Draco?" She called out to him softly.

It took a minute, but the door swung open to reveal a slightly disheveled Draco. She smirked at his unkempt hair and raised an eyebrow that had him blushing a little bit. "Were you keeping company or something?" She drew to him. He shrugged. "Believe it or not, I had been sleeping. I haven't exactly had the time to do my hair just now." He said after he gave her a weird look for her insinuation.

Vanessa rolled her eyes at him. "I swear Draco, sometimes I think you could have been a girl in another life." She said, teasingly. Draco scowled at her and huffed. "I am not nor have I ever been a girl thank you very much." He said, stomping his feet slightly causing her to giggle at him with amusement.

Draco merely raised an eyebrow at her. "Was there something you wanted Vanessa?" He asked her, his accent coming through rather strongly. Causing her to blink, having gotten used to the American accent these days. She shrugged at him. "Oh, it was a bit too quiet in this house so I wanted to check on you and see how you were doing. I'll be going out tonight in case you need anything." She suggested to him thoughtfully.

He hummed a bit as he eyed her curiously. "Have you been out all afternoon?" He asked her. She nodded. "Yes, I had a few errands I needed to take care of as well as stocking up on supplies for the kitchen." She said, making him nod. "Alright then, I honestly don't think there is anything I need, but if I do, I'll go out and get it myself." He drew on a bit.

Vanessa looked at him with warning eyes. "No magic outside of this house Draco Malfoy! We may have vampires in these parts of town, but everyone else is pure muggle." She warned him harshly. He rolled his eyes at her.

"Who do you think I am? Like I could ever be as much of a simpleton like Weasley. I know not to use magic outside. Unless one of the vamps decides to come after me, however." He smirked when she merely rolled her eyes at him. "That's fine by me. As long as you know then I guess it should be okay. Just send me a patronus to call me if there's any trouble." She said, giving him a heads up and he nodded. "Don't worry so much, Potter. I know what I'm doing, go do whatever it is you have planned tonight." He waved his hands at her in a shooing motion, trying to move her along so he could get ready.

She merely huffed at him and smiled a bit before she walked away. She went into her room which was down the hallway, a bit closer to the bathroom just the way she wanted it. Inside the bedroom, she kept the look really simple. A large king-size bed that could fit maybe three people and a dresser from across from it with a large mirror showing off her hair stuff and the likes a woman would want in her room. She walked over to her large walk-in closet and started looking through what she could find for her date night.

After a few moments, she had finally decided on a green with hints of silver summer dress that went down to her knees. It showed off her back and kept her shoulders out in the open, something she thought Elijah would be keen on whenever she was with him. He hasn't exactly marked her yet since they haven't reached that aspect of their relationship since it was far too early, but who knows what could happen when you have Potter luck on your side.

She grinned in amusement to herself at her thoughts and grabbed some black heels to go with the dress and started getting ready. Once the dress was on, she went over to her dresser to finish her hair.

A FEW HOURS LATER

Vanessa lounged a bit on the chair recliner, enjoying a book she rented from the library when the doorbell rang. She got up from her spot, fixed her dress up a little bit when it was ruffled before she made her way to the door and opened it to reveal Elijah. He gave her a gentle smile when he saw her. "Hello, my darling. Don't you look exquisate tonight." He said, using his charm to get to her blush a bit.

She breathed a bit to cool down the heat in her cheeks when Elijah held his arm out for her to wrap her arm with his. Once they did, he led her to a nice sleek looking car that could have resembled a limo of sorts. She raised an eyebrow and looked at Elijah curiously. "Where are we going?" She asked him, curious. He merely chuckled at her question and refused to answer her, causing her to pout.

Being a gentlemen that he was, he held the door open to let her inside first. "My lady." He said, bowing a little, making her feel a bit flustered. She gave a light bow and gave him a smile. "Why thank you my lord." She said quietly, accepting his hand to help her inside. She noticed that there was a driver at the front already so when Elijah closed her door, she wasn't exactly surprised that he made his way to sit with her in the back. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and crossed a leg over his knee.

"You know where to go." He told the driver. The man nodded and started up the car. The scenery passed by them as Vanessa engrossed herself with her thoughts before a gentle tap on the knee caught her attention.

She looked up from the window to see Elijah looking at her with curiosity. "Is everything alright, my love? You seem to be a bit distracted tonight." He asked her softly. She blushed a bit from embarrassment. "Oh, I'm sorry for that, Elijah, it's just that I've never been on a proper date before. I kind of don't really know how to act in a certain way." She said lowly, trying to keep the blush away from her cheeks.

Elijah just continued to observe her, his eyes darkening with something she couldn't discern. "Well, I never took someone on a date myself, but I would say we could just be a version of ourselves and be somewhat normal in a way." He said with amusement at his words that had Vanessa giggling a bit.

Between the two of them, neither of them were the definition of normal. But they made it work by making conversation. Vanessa learned that he had at least three brothers and a single sister. She had frowned when he described them, growing tense when he reached Niklause Milkaelson.

"He has to have been tortured all these years, I can't even imagine what it was like to have a part of yourself locked aways against your will. It's no wonder he has been the way he was the past decade." She surmised the details that had Elijah looking at her thoughtfully.

"I haven't thought of it that way, to be honest, I don't think none of my siblings ever took it seriously in that matter." He muttered to her as they continued to ride down through the town. She frowned at him, showing her slight disappointment.

"Maybe instead of going against your brother, maybe you could help him instead. You guy's are family, you should at least learn how to act like one. I wish I could say the same but I never did grow up with siblings myself. So it's certainly different." She said quietly, folding her hands in her lap.

He merely sighed and gave her a soft look. "If only my siblings could meet you, maybe we'd find a way to become a family again. It would be nice if we could just be together." He said thoughtfully. Vanessa looked up to the window when the scenery changed to a wild land filled with trees and wild flowers. She looked on with awe when she spotted deer prancing around through the fields as they started slowing down to a nearby dock.

She watched on when the driver stopped the car and Elijah stepped out. He turned around the car to make his way to her door and helped her out. She looked around the area with curiosity. "Where are we ?" She asked him. He just smiled at her.

"We're at one of the locations where the people would come to swim or enjoy a leisure boat ride around the large lake. I thought it appropriate to have our dinner on a nice cruise as we enjoyed the scenery around us." He described the date as she looked at him with surprise.

She gave him a bright smile. "Well, I think it's perfect." She said, getting a smile from them.
