Volume 4 Chapter 17: Inside the Wily Star (Part 2 of 4)

"So Roll, I take it you're still feeling very nervous about this?" Asked Nora, as the group was continuing to walk down a hallway where Velvet used the Thunder Beam to take out a couple of helicopter robots that were coming their way, while Ren shot several Yamato Spears at them.
"Kind off..." Muttered Roll, as a look of embarrassment appeared on her face.
"Nora, don't be mean." Ren chided.
"I'm not being mean, it's nothing to be embarrassed about, it's not even a bad thing." Replied Nora.
"She's right Roll." Said Velvet. "I was always shy and timid, but coming to Beacon helped me tremendously. I belief that you'll do fine, maybe even better than Rock."
"But you still get picked on, I heard the stories from Rock." Replied Roll.
"That's true, but it's something that happens..."
"IT SHOULDN'T!" Exclaimed Roll, before realising what she had yelled and composed herself "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. It's just... I can't stand injustice, especially when no one does anything against it. It's why I always help dad and Mr Polendina out whenever a Faunus in Mantle comes to get a check up."
"That's very sweet of you Roll, but I have my team to take care of me and the fact that Cardin is seemingly trying to get his act together is making me hopeful for a better future." Said Velvet.
"But still, sitting by idly and..."
"We're not doing nothing, by having Faunus becoming huntsman and huntresses we can show the world that the Faunus can be just like humans. After all, there are always peaceful options that don't require violence like the White Fang and I'm beginning to think that Blake started to see it as well when she joined Beacon." Replied Velvet. "That being said, I do admire your strong sense of justice, I can see where both you and Rock got it from."
"Funny thing is, dad didn't program that into us. He just allowed us to think for ourselves, and deciding that we don't want to see others in pain, we decided to follow the path we choose. When Rock first started out, I remember him wanting to be a pacifist. He quickly learned that it wouldn't always work, but he still tries." Said Roll.
"See, that's what I mean, there is always a better solution." Said Velvet, as the team then found themselves climbing down a ladder where they then ended up in a room with a lot of robots being placed in storage pods. With some robots being recognised by the group, such as Sniper Joe's, Mets, the helicopter robots from before and a bunch of others.
"I guess you're right, I mean, I always admired and looked up to Rock and Blues." Said Roll.
"Blues? Who's Blues?" Asked Ren.
"Oh sorry, I mean Proto. Blues is just his real name." Replied Roll, making Nora snort.
"So we have Rock, Roll, Rush, Blues, Beat, Tango, Bass, Treble and technically Tempo. Man, roboticist are just gigantic music nerds." Nora joked.
"Now that you mention it, that is a strange coincidence." Said Roll.
"I mean, since Penny was made by doctor Polendina and doctor Light and she doesn't have a music name it's clear Doctor Polendina named her. Cause otherwise we'd be dealing with Melody Polendina." Said Nora.
"Maybe, but we don't know that for sure." Said Ren, before turning to Roll. "Though, I do have to ask. You said you looked up to Rock and Blues, why didn't you ever join him on his adventures?"
"I never had the courage to do so, I did have the same sense of justice as Rock, but never the courage to go out there and make a difference. At least, not until recently that is."
"Why is that?" Asked Velvet.
"I'm not sure, maybe it's because of how hectic things are now or just seeing everyone around me get hurt like that and not being able to do anything about it."
"But you are doing something." Said Nora.
"I know! I know... but seeing my own brothers hurt like that, Blues being put under mind control and having to be repaired. The amount of times Rock got injured because he kept pushing himself to protects the ones he cares about. Or even arriving in Vale and seeing not just the entire Beacon student body in pain, but grown huntsmen and warriors being unable to stop Wily."
"And then seeing the broken and pained look on dad's face, as it dawns upon him that everything that has been going on, his own friends and creations getting hurt, all because he shot down Wily's research in the past. It broke my mechanical heart, it's why I insisted I come along with you guys, why I wanted Ruby to make me a better weapon. I'm tired of being the scared little girl who stays at home, while her family risks their life to keep the peace. I want to do more, I have to do more. Because Wily will never stop, and each time he comes back with a new plan his methods get more dangerous, and people get hurt!" Roll exclaimed, as Velvet pulled her into a hug, while Ren and Nora gave her apologetic looks.
Velvet started patting Roll's head, as Roll began to sniff, while Velvet said "There, there let it all out."
"I just... I don't like seeing people close to me get hurt or worse..."
"And they won't, sure they get hurt. But it's part of the path they and even we have chosen." Said Ren.
"You and Rock really are made from the same cloth." Said Nora, as she got elbowed in the side by Ren. "What, I wasn't being insensitive, it's the truth. Weiss told me herself that Rock always wants to make sure that his team is ok, that he doesn't want them getting hurt or losing people."
"You and Weiss hand out?" Asked Velvet.
"Sure, whenever Yang's too busy with other things, Weiss and I work out at the Beacon gym. Once you get past the first layer of ice, she can be quite fun to talk to." Replied Nora.
"Listen Roll, I don't think you're too weak to do the things Rock does. After all, you've been doing great so far and you have the drive to make it through this. So when you start to doubt yourself and your abilities to protect the ones you care about, remember this conversation and tell yourself that you can do this. Believing in yourself is a great start." Said Ren.
"He's right, now say it." Said Nora.
"Say what?" Asked Roll, as Velvet let go off her.
"Say that you believe in yourself."
"I... believe in myself."
"Come on again."
"I believe in myself."
"Louder."
"I believe in myself!"
"One more time."
"I BELIEVE IN MYSELF!"
"That's the spirit Roll, now turn that frown upside down cause we have key to find." Said Nora.
"Yeah, you're right." Said Roll, as she then pulled out a small pod from her pockets and pressed a button to extend it into a staff as she placed it onto the ground and said "Lets do this." Receiving nods of approval from the rest of the team, as they then continued to walk through the room where they strangely didn't have to worry much about the robots that seemed to be on display.
They then went into the next room, where they found a large paper stretching across the entire room with several film projectors shining on it, as it showed the silhouettes of robots being flashed across the room. The group quickly tried to move past the large paper, but couldn't help but give it some curious looks, only for the silhouettes to change to that of a gorilla like robot leading to a group of Gori-Three's spawning from the paper screen, with the group of robots holding onto a variety of objects, such as gigantic balls, spiked balls and boulders.
But before the gorilla robots could even thrown their weapons at the group, Ren made sure to fire several yamato spears at the arms of the gorilla robots, which took them off balance and made them drop their weapons onto the floor, making them distracted as Nora used the top spin to slam her hammer into several of them, while Velvet fired several pharaoh shots from her camera.
This left only a handful of robots left, as they all tried to take a swing at Roll. But instead of getting hit by the punches, Roll dodged out of the way and switched to the bladed form of her weapon as she then slammed it into several of the robots. Destroying them all completely, and emptying the room completely, only for the silhouettes on the paper to change to that of a very large robot, which then got spawned into reality, revealing it to be a Power Muscler, several of them in fact.
As they all jumped into the air and landed onto the ground, shaking the ground for a bit, as Roll watched her teammates become unable to move for a bit, which was when she knew that it would be up to her to take them out.
And she had to be quick, as they focused their attention on her and tried to punch her with their massive arms. As she then quickly dodged out of the way, and then slammed her bladed staff into the legs of the robots, where she would then shoot the crystal eye into the heads of the robots, stunning them for a bit, as Roll then switched to the atomic fire and charged it up to it's maximum potential, before firing a massive ball of fire through the robots. Melting through their insides, after which they exploded into pieces.
Roll took a quick peek at the paper to make sure there wasn't anymore danger being send their way, when there wasn't anymore danger to be seen, Roll gave herself a sigh of relief. Only for her to be tackled into a hug by Nora, as she exclaimed "ROLL! That was amazing, I knew you had it in ya! You shouldn't have doubted yourself so much, you can do just as much as Rock, or even more for that matter."
"Thank you Nora, that means a lot coming from you." Replied Roll, as she was helped up by Ren.
"You reacted fast in a time of need, and made sure that none of us got hurt. You have done something truly amazing, and took the first step to becoming braver. Good job Roll." Said Ren.
"Yeah, I think I might be right for this huntress thing after all." Replied Roll.
"You mean that plan from headmaster Ozpin to have you, penny and those other two robots become a team?" Asked Velvet.
"That one, I'm beginning to feel more confident about it to be honest." Said Roll.
"I thought it was just a rumour, but if it's true, I can safely say that you've definitely earned your place at Beacon, same goes for the others." Replied Velvet, making Roll get a slight blush on her face. The foursome then continued to walk through the room, until a large door was reached, where upon entering through the large door a room with a space theme was found. As the walls and ceiling seemed to replicate a starry night's sky, making them wonder if they had gone outside of the Wily Star.
Those curiosities were quickly squashed when they found that their gravity was still the same, and when a large orb with two smaller orbs began to float down from the ceiling, after which a green looking robot popped out from the ball. "Who's this?" Asked Velvet.
"I think... I'm not too sure about this, Rock knows this better than I do, but I think this might be Astro Man." Replied Roll.
"You're right, but I'm kind of embarrassed that you managed to find me." Replied Astro Man, with a shy tone in his voice, as it seemed like the robot was about to go into his ball to hide.
"Did Rock ever tell you that he was such a big wimp?" Asked Nora.
"I'm not a wimp, I'll prove it to you!" Yelled Astro Man, with still a bit of a soft tone in his voice, as the robot then teleported to the centre of the room and has his eyes flash a bright green. Leading a massive meteor shower being summoned, and raining down on the foursome, as they quickly had to do dodge out of the way of the incoming meteors.
As they frantically jumped out of the way when the meteors crashed into the floor, Ren noted "It would seem insulting how he acts is a bit of a trigger for him."
Giant Orb Floating Through The Air - Astro Man
"Sorry, I didn't mean to insult you!" Yelled Nora, only for another barrage of meteors to be fired towards her which she was able to deflect with her hammer, only for her to then get slammed into the ground as another meteor ended up hitting her and knocking her to the ground. It wasn't enough to shatter he aura, but it did lead to her being stunned for a bit, as Ren rushed over towards Nora to help her out by shooting down any meteors that were fired.
In the meantime, while Astro Man was busy targeting that duo, Velvet and Roll rushed in to take on the robot, as Velvet used the thunder beam while Roll shot several crystal eyes into the walls, which resulted in them breaking apart into little fragments that bounced off the walls and were able to repeatedly hit the robot as he was flying through the room at a rapid pace. Velvet then switched to the pharaoh shot, and charged up a massive blast until a ball of solar energy formed above Velvet, which she then fired at Astro Man.
The resulting impact led to the robot falling to the ground as electricity started to crackle around the robot, with Roll quickly going over to the robot to see if he was doing ok by asking "Are... are you ok?" Only for Roll to get launched backwards as the two sphere's that were with the robot rapidly spun around Astro Man as a form of protection from any incoming attacks, as Astro Man then rose from the ground after which he fired several lasers into the walls and ceilings, which seemed to create portals that were connected to one another.
Astro Man then began to fly through the portals at a rapid speed hoping to be able to hit the group when he exited through one of the other portals on the other side, while also making sure to fire a barrage of electrical orbs at the group. Where Roll used her staff to deflect the attacks to ensure that none of them would hit Velvet, while Ren used the yamato spear to take out electric orbs to ensure that Nora wouldn't get hit.
But while doing so, they both managed to hit Astro Man a couple of times, as some of the spears Ren shot out hit the robot, which made it stumble while flying for a bit, as Roll then managed to hit the robot a few times. Leading to him crashing onto the ground for a bit, before quickly getting up and creating holographic clones of himself, which then also began to fly through the portals, while shooting out a barrage of electric orbs that group had a lot of trouble with dodging, resulting in all of them getting hit several times.
Nora was also hit several times however, which resulted in her eyes opening as she stood up and fired several of her grenades from her grande launcher at the clones which took them out before jumping into the air and slamming Astro Man into the ground with her hammer. Astro Man then tried to get up again despite his damages, only for him to be stopped when the group quickly fired their weapons at him, which all hit at the same time and led to the robot exploding and leaving behind two memory chips.
They were quickly picked up by Velvet, who gave it a confused look and asked "Uh, two of them?"
"Oh right, I completely forgot about that. Rock had fought Astro Man two times actually, and each time he got a different weapon." Said Roll.
"So, who wants to have the weapons. Because I don't feel like they would fit me." Replied Ren.
"Yeah, me neither, you guys can have one each." Said Roll.
"In that case, here you go Nora." Said Velvet, as she handed one of the memory chips to Nora who absorbed it and got the message "Astro Crush obtained." While Velvet took the other one, and got the message "Copy Vision obtained" making Velvet wonder "Copy Vision, what could that mean?" As she then switched to the weapon, and activated it, leading to a holographic copy of herself appearing in front of her.
Velvet began to move her right arm up and down, which was promptly repeated by the holographic copy. She then let her ears hang down a bit, which was once again repeated. Then she used the thunder beam on a wall, which her copy was able to repeat as well. The holographic copy then vanished, as Velvet said with awe in her voice "This... this is amazing. I never thought there would be such an ability."
"Well then, let's see what this bad boy can do." Said Nora, as she switched to the astro crush and had her hammer aimed towards a the door that was blocking the way out. She then used the weapon, and to her surprise she fired a barrage of meteors from the sky, destroying the door that was blocking the path. "Ohohohohoho, I never thought I could fall in love with a weapon, but now I get where Ruby gets it from. Oh I'm going to have so much fun with this."
"Nora, don't go overboard with this." Ren said, with a ton in his voice that made it sound like he was pleading with her.
"Don't worry, I won't." Replied Nora. "Now come on, let's move forward." The group made then made it out of the room and found themselves climbing down another ladder and went down into another new area, this one seemed to be a weapons depot, as a very large amount of missiles where stored here. And as they were walking through the room, Ren couldn't help but feel as if they were being followed by something.
His suspicions were confirmed however when Velvets ears twitched for a moment, as he could have sworn that he heard some quick movement through the room at the same time. So he made sure to stay as close to the rest of the group as possible. But despite this, nothing seemed to happen as the foursome continued to make it through the room, until they reached another room, this one not being filled with missiles, but instead seeming to be made out of nothing but stones.
But before he could even begin to question the room they were in, he heard a shout coming from Velvet "Everyone get down!" but it was too late as several missiles were fired and collided with the group, the explosive force of which was enough to knock them all to the ground. Ren saw that Roll was still conscious, as both were struggling to keep their eyes open from the damage they had taken, while Velvet and Nora were completely knocked off their feet.
But it was in that consciousness that they saw two robots approaching them, one of which looked like walking army depot, while the other robot seemed to resemble a bull. They then heard one of the two robots speak up "See that Uranus, I told you I'd get them."
"Yeah, yeah I get it Mars." replied the robot looking like a bull, who noticed that Roll and Ren were still conscious and added "And yet, despite that, those two are still standing. I'll take care of that." As the robot then jumped into the air, and upon landing onto the ground shook the ground and the room itself so much that the blocks on the ceiling began to get loose until a large portion dropped from the ceiling and onto the foursome, as they were buried alive by the two robots, who were both looking at their buried adversaries with pride in their eyes.
With Team PPNS
In the meantime, Penny, Pyrrha, Weiss and Neptune were dealing with a hallway that was filled to the brim with strange squid like robots that kept bouncing from the ceiling to the floor and back, while firing shots at the group, while also dealing with turrets that kept appearing out of the floor. And as Weiss was taking out some of the turrets by freezing them with the tundra storm, she couldn't help but notice that Pyrrha had an annoyed expression on her face as she was more forceful in her actions when it came to taking out the robotic squids.
So while Weiss now started to fire icicles from her glyphs at some robotic bats that were now coming into the area, she moved closer to Pyrrha and asked "You ok Pyrrha, there seems to be something bothering you."
"I'm fine Weiss, just some things that are on my mind is all." Replied Pyrrha, as her shield returned to her after it tore through a row of squid robots.
"Is it about Jaune and the people he's with?" Asked Weiss, as from the corner of her eyes she noticed that Neptune had used his electrified trident to slash through a robotic bobsleigh team that consisted of penguin like orbs, which was odd to Weiss but she choose to ignore it.
"Was it that obvious?"
"Kind of." Replied Weiss.
"I don't know why, I just feel a certain way about how they left." Said Pyrrha.
"Are mad about it, like you wanted to go with Jaune or are you worried?" Asked Weiss.
"I think it's more worry than anything else." Replied Pyrrha.
"Well that's ok, I get it, Yang can be a bit rough in how she does thing and a bit of brute. But, I know her, I know my teammates and Yang is not someone to be malicious. The worst she'll do is mess around a bit with Jaune. But even then, they have two people with them who are in the higher years and also when we went after Fuse Man, and he joined us, things were fine then." Said Weiss.
"Hmm, I see." Mumbled Pyrrha.
Weiss, having noticed this, asked "Something happen that got you so worried for him?"
"Did Rock tell you what happened when we went after Blast Man?" Asked Pyrrha.
"He didn't tell us directly, but he did go up to the roof with Ruby when he came back from repairs. I can only assume that something happened, and he needed to confide in someone he could trust. I mean, I know you guys faced some really tough Grimm out there, sure you all looked very injured, but I didn't think it got you guys shaken up that badly." Replied Weiss.
"Jaune nearly died on us, Weiss." Said Pyrrha, as tears were welling up in her eyes. "That Grimm we fought... in it's final moments, it stabbed both Jaune and Cardin with its claw. It would have nearly been fatal. Jaune... we nearly lost him, had we not been able to restart his heart, he would have died in my arms... and I don't want to risk losing him."
"Oh... I'm so, so sorry to hear that Pyrrha. I didn't know, at least now I get why Rock was so shaken up after he returned from his repairs." Said Weiss, as she pulled the other girl into a hug
"I know I should trust his abilities, and he's gotten leagues better since the start of the year. But I just can't help but worry about him." Replied Pyrrha.
"Don't worry, I get it. But on the other hand, as much as it pains you to have to be reminded of this, you also nearly died on him during the Breach. I'm sure that he's worried about you, but trusts you enough in general to let you go out on your own." Said Weiss.
"I... I didn't think of it like that." Replied Pyrrha.
"In that case, shouldn't you be able to afford to give the same amount of trust?" Asked Weiss, to which Pyrrha quickly nodded, as Weiss then smiled, let go of her and said "That's what I like to see, and be sure to remember that's he's fine. A bit of worry is ok, but too much will cloud your judgement." to which Pyrrha nodded, as the foursome then made it to what seemed to be a dead end, until they looked down and saw an underwater section.
"My scanners indicate that it is a short section through this water, until we reach the other side." Said Penny, making Neptune gulp for a bit.
"And there is no other way to get through this?" Asked Pyrrha.
"Unfortunately not, we're going to have to swim through this." Replied Penny, as Neptune began to turn white at the thought of having to go through all of that water.
"No... nonononononono, there's gotta be another way through this right, we don't actually have to go through all of that water... Right?" Neptune stammered with a freaked out tone in his voice.
"Neptune, we're not leaving you here and we're not going back to switch hallways with another group. We have to get through this, all of us." Replied Weiss.
"But... all this water... I can't..."
"Yes you can, we'll make sure to stay with you the whole time. As long as you remember to focus your aura like professor goodwitch taught all of us, it should be fine." Said Pyrrha.
"What if it goes wrong?"
"It won't go wrong. We'll have your back throughout all of this friend Neptune, remember how nothing went wrong during that exercise because I stayed with you?" Asked Penny, to which Neptune nodded. "Well think of it like that, I'll stay with you the entire time and nothing will go wrong."
"Ok, you're right. I won't forget that." Said Neptune, staring at the surface of the water as he then said "Well, here goes nothing. I can do this." As he then sprinted towards the pool, and jumped in, making sure to keep his aura focused to ensure he'd be able to breathe underwater. Pyrrha, Weiss and Penny quickly followed after him, where they then noticed that Neptune was actually looking relaxed despite the fear from earlier.
"Hey, you made it." Weiss complimented.
"Yeah, it's actually not that bad. Once you get over the initial part of going into the water, it's not so bad." Said Neptune.
"Good job Neptune, just remember to focus on one thing you feel safe with and you should be fine." Said Pyrrha.
"You're right." Said Neptune, as he looked around the room to focus on something, upon which he found something he felt safe around and continued to focus on that. "I think I'll be fine."
"That's great Neptune, we'll stay with you through all of this. Now, onwards to our goal team." Said Penny, as the group then began to make their swim to the other end of the room. But as they got further through the room, they found that the ceiling was beginning to get covered in spikes, and approaching them were several types of robots themed after aquatic animals. Such as clams that when they opened had turrets fire shots at the group forcing them to dodge out of the way.
There were also some small crabs, shrimps with their shells on and shrimps that were floating freely through the water, as well as octopi that were shooting out blobs of ink around them as a defence mechanism. So Pyrrha switched to the magnet missile and fired several homing magnets at the robots that were swimming towards them, while Neptune used the bubble lead that surprisingly to him kept going across the floor to take out some of the octopi robots.
Penny then swam by through the water, as she used her blades to cut both types of shrimp to pieces, leaving only a small group of robots left, which Weiss took the liberty of taking out with the use of the block dropper. Allowing the group to continue on, as their path was then blocked by several large robotic fish that seemed to be stuck to the floor, had large blinking antennas on their heads and were the ones that were spawning the fish from their mouths, as more aquatic robots appeared from their mouths in the room.
So, Weiss, Pyrrha and Penny got to work with taking those smaller robots out, while Neptune took the chance to use his weapon, which he had turned into it's blaster form, and shot the antennas on their heads. Which he managed to succeed in, and resulted in the blinking antenna lights being destroyed. Leading to a chain reaction where the rest of the bodies exploded into pieces, while the rest of the team had succeeded in taking out the enemies that were spawned by the robot fish.
They then continued to move forward, even managing to slowly make it past a piece of low hanging ceiling that had spikes on it as well, making Weiss worry for a bit about Penny as she wasn't sure about how the android girl would react about getting hit by those spikes. Luckily that worry quickly went away for her as they passed through that hallway, where they then saw what seemed to be the exit for the water area. Only for it be guarded by several large snail robots, that blocked the path by throwing bombs at the group.
Which became a bit of a problem for them, as the water made movement for them a lot slower, as they were forced to dodge out of the way for the bombs, as the moment they landed on the ground they detonated into very large explosions that created a very strong current in thee water, which forced Weiss to stab her rapier into the ground and creating a gravity infused glyph that allowed her and the rest of the group to remain on the floor, instead of being blown away by the water current created from the explosions.
However, despite being stuck to the ground, the snails kept throwing their bombs towards the group and while Weiss was considering what she should do, even thinking about creating a barrier from hard light dust to protect the group, but that left her wondering which parts of the snails bodies would be it's weak point. But before she could even act, and do any of the things she wanted to do, Neptune took aim at the eyes of the snails and fired at them. The shots hit, and stunned the snails for a bit, as their eyes stayed open throughout this dazed state.
This gave Penny the chance to use her blades to deflect the bombs back towards the snails, which then landed right in the eyes of the snails, and then exploded. Resulting in a chain reaction that lead to the snails exploding as well. And so with nothing blocking the path for the group anymore, they quickly swam to the opening in the water and found themselves in a rather icy area, and since the group was still wet from making their way through all that water, they immediately began to feel the effects of the change in temperature.
So to avoid catching a cold, Weiss immediately summoned a fire dust infused glyph underneath her and the group, which began to warm the group up as they immediately began to feel the wetness leave their clothes. "Oh that feels great Weiss, good call." Said Neptune.
"You've done this before?" Asked Pyrrha.
"A couple of times, before I came to Beacon I experimented a bit with different types of dust and tried infusing them with my glyphs. But quite frankly, before coming to beacon I had not found any need to use it often." Replied Weiss, as she then looked over at a wall, which seemed to have some writing on it. So she wiped away some of the ice, which read "Wily Star's cooling facility, colour me surprised, I did not expect to stumble upon this."
"Great way to hide a key, put it somewhere no one bothers to look." Said Neptune.
"Then let's go find it." Said Penny, as the group began to move forward through the icy halls, with Weiss feeling especially in her element as she was skating around the room on her glyphs. Making sure to scout up ahead and take out any robots that were coming their way, taking out some penguin robots that were about to propel themselves forward with a rocket, as well as some purple rabbit robots that were jumping around. However, she didn't notice the icicles that were on the roof that were about to fall down.
Luckily for Weiss, she had Penny looking out for her, as she used her blades and the fire storm to melt the icicles before they could fall down. So, Weiss gave her a thankful nod, as they kept moving until they found a large door only problem being that their path was being blocked by a large polar bear robot. Penny, with a look of glee in her eyes, walked over to the robot and said "Aww, look at this thing, it's so cute."
However, Pyrrha saw that malicious look in its eyes and warned "Penny, be careful that thing could be dangerous." Only for the bear to swipe at Penny, but to it's apparent shock Penny caught its paw and managed to hold onto it.
"Now that wasn't very nice, Mr polar bear. I just wanted to pet you." Said Penny with a sweet tone in her voice that made the polar bear feel fear in the first time of its life, as she quickly tore its arm off with her blades. The robot then tried to hit Penny by blasting an ice shard from its mouth at her, only for her to dodge out of the way as the ice shard shattered against the wall upon impact. As Penny then slashed straight through the robot, as it then exploded into pieces. As she then turned to her friends and said "The path is now free."
Weiss, Pyrrha and Neptune all sweat dropped and Weiss said "Let's just see what's behind this door." As the group entered the next room through the large door, and found a rather large empty room where the ceiling wasn't illuminated, however when they reached the centre of the room icy spikes shot up from the ground, blocking the path for the foursome, made even worse when the ground froze over completely and stuck the feet of the group to the ground. Making them all look around the room frantically to see were all of this ice had come from.
It was then that Pyrrha heard some movement within the darkness of the ceiling, so she quickly threw her shield upwards and heard the noise of multiple targets being hit, until her shield returned to her and two figures fell out of the air and onto the ground. Both of them seemingly being ice themed robots, one having icy crystals all over his body and the other having his head encased in an ice crystal.
The first robot got up and said "Well, icy why Mega Man brought you all with him. Watching your movements so far, you'll make quite the opponent, unfortunately there is snow chance in hail that you'll beat us."
The other robot then stood up and said "Freeze Man, quiet. This is serious." As the robot then turned to the others and said "Apologies for my partner, he is a pun obsessed fool."
"Oh come now Chill Man, learn to chill out." Replied Freeze Man.
"Oh great, let's hope he and Yang never meet." Weiss thought to herself.
"I don't get it, what's so bad about puns?" Asked Penny, as she was using her blades in combination with the fire storm to melt the ice, which went unnoticed by the two robots.
"Ah, I see, you must be the new robot that Wily talked about, you're very new to the goings on off the world." Said Chill Man. "As for why, I guess it's just a matter of preference."
"Well, I think they're very ice." Said Penny.
"See Chill Man, she understands that puns are a work of art only enjoyed by the icest of people." Said Freeze Man, only for him to get smacked in the back of the head by Chill Man.
"Oi, focus. We still need to take these four out and bring em' to Wily!" Exclaimed Chill Man, only for both him and Freeze Man to get punched in the face by Penny who flew over to them and used the faux confusion as a distraction to get a hit in. "Ow, cheap shot." Said Chill Man, as both robots then got up and got into fighting stances.
"I'm not that naive." Said penny, as the rest of the team joined her in facing down the duo.
Too Many Ice Puns - Freeze Man and Chill Man
"I'm beginning to see that innocence doesn't equal immaturity completely, I'm glad I choose to go with Penny because that was a smart move on her part." Weiss thought to herself, as she aimed myrtenaster and summoned several glyphs in the air around the arena, then she grabbed onto Pyrrha and Neptune, stood on top of a newly summoned glyph and began to ice skate around the arena, while Penny was still flying and making sure to stay close to them.
The group was moving through the room, when they saw Freeze Man jumping through the area and shooting ice up into the air, which a few seconds later start to come down as massive icicles that were trying to crush the group, making them move out of the way quickly. As Penny used her blades to slice the icicles up into smaller pieces, while Neptune used his blaster to shoot the icicles that Penny has missed.
But from the corner of his eye he spotted Chill Man rushing towards them and was trying to shoot them with blasts of ice, but some of them missed, as they formed patches of icicles on the ground. Which the group on the glyph nearly crashed into, had it not being for Neptune switching to the leaf shield, which surrounded the whole group in a shield of leaves that ended up destroying the ice the on the ground, and also damaged Freeze and Chill Man when they crashed into the shield formed around the group.
Freeze Man then tried to shoot several large icy balls towards the group, but they got intercepted by Pyrrha shooting the magnet missiles at him which made him drop the icy balls onto himself, but it did lead the group into a trap. As Chill Man had created a patch of ice with spikes that he had extended and nearly would have impaled the group, had Neptune not shot the nearby walls, which created enough momentum to allow the group to dodge.
As they were now sliding along the ground so fast that they were able to dodge more ice traps from impaling them, until the group crashed into Chill Man who tried to get up and attack them again, only for Weiss to bury him into a pile of blocks with the block dropper which left him unable to move. Freeze Man was then thrown into the pile by penny, who had been dealing with the robot by taking care of his icicles and ensuring that he couldn't make more gigantic icy balls.
Both Freeze Man and Chill Man then stood up from their crash site and got ready to taunt the heroes by attempting to make more ice, only for them to get blinded by Pyrrha using the centaur flash. Which was then follow up by Weiss summoning a black glyph underneath them and launching them into the earlier made glyphs. Which were infused with fire dust, so when they crashed into the glyphs, it created a chain reaction that blasted them into the rest of the glyphs, until they ended up on the ground, but strangely enough still were able to move
The glyph that Pyrrha, Weiss and Neptune were on came to a stop, while Penny hovered down as well. All four of them having a look of confusion on their faces as to how those two could still be standing after all of that punishment. But right as they tried to attack one last time, Neptune made sure to shoot them with his blaster which paralysed them, while Pyrrha managed to impale both of them, leading to them exploding and leaving behind two memory chips.
Neptune then picked up one of the memory chips and got the message "Freeze Cracker obtained." While Pyrrha did the same and got the message "Chill Spike obtained." So Pyrrha and Neptune looked at each other, before nodding, after which both tested out their new weapon, which resulted in Neptune shooting out an icy shot from his blaster which hit a wall and created a large chunk of spiky ice upon impact, while Pyrrha was able to create an icicle filled terrain in front of her.
"Finally, a useful weapon from one of these." Said Neptune.
"I don't know about that." Said Penny "The way you've been using the other two was quite lethal."
To which Pyrrha then added "And when Rock let us choose our weapons, Nora ended up picking a weapon that Rock hadn't been able to find proper use for, but it seemed to fit Nora perfectly. So I think it just depends on the person."
"Oh, never thought about it like that." Said Neptune, staring down at his weapon. As the group then left the room, and made it to a hallway where they saw a path that had small pools of water being sucked through tubes, which Weiss assumed was how they were cooling the systems within the space station. But she didn't pay it any mind, as she continued to move forward, feeling worried about what else they could end up finding here.
They then found themselves walking onto a platform which showed a temperature that was far below freezing, so Weiss assumed that this what was being used to keep the temperatures of this area so low. But then, they found themselves unable to move, and it wasn't because their feet were frozen this time. Instead, it would seem once Weiss turned her head around, a brown robot with a large ring that was acting as some sort of black hole was halting the movement of the group.
But before Weiss could even question what was going on, a voice spoke up "Excellent job Saturn, you caught them." The group then saw a robot that looked like the fish monsters you'd find in a horror movie stepping out of the shadows.
"I know, it was super easy." Replied Saturn.
"I'm assuming you must be the stardroid Neptune?" Asked Weiss.
The robot gave her a surprised look and replied "You've heard of me?"
"Process of elimination, Rock has told me about you Stardroids, and your friend has a ring like the planet Saturn and you are probably aquatic, and seeing as people think the planet Neptune is aquatic, it was easy to figure out." Said Weiss.
"Clever, unfortunately, it won't save you." Replied the Stardroid Neptune, as he moved his arms and had the water from the previous room go into this room and form around the foursome. Until they were actually fully submerged by the water, but they could still move.
"What are you doing!" Yelled Neptune.
"Don't worry about it, you won't be there to notice the next part anyways." Replied the Stardroid Neptune, as he pressed a button that began to affect the temperature of the platform the water was placed on.
"What are you doing, don't...!" Weiss tried to exclaim, only for her to be too late, as the entire block of water was frozen solid, freezing the group of four in place as well. Making them unable to move, as the two Stardriods looked at the group with glee in their eyes,
Meanwhile with Team JYYF
"Will you stop healing the damage we give you already and fight us!" Yang yelled, as she and the rest of her group were in the middle of fighting Dynamo Man, who they had quickly ran into after entering their respective hallway. And it was clear that the robot had been getting on everyone's nerves so far, making sure to keep his distance from the group, throwing as many projectiles at them as possible and even if there was some damage done the robot had started to heal himself on constantly respawning charging stations, which kept showing up no matter how many of them were being destroyed.
Would You Stop Recharging Your Energy And Fight Us Already! - Dynamo Man
"I might, if you could actually catch me." Dynamo Man taunted towards the group, as he then surrounded himself in electric orbs that he then send after the group, which were quickly taken out by Jaune and Yatsuhashi slicing the orbs to pieces, which gave Fox the opportunity to rush over to Dynamo Man who shot several electric sphere's at him, which Fox took out by using his blades on his arm to slice them to bits, after which he threw several rolling cutters at the robot, which were promptly fried.
But it did leave Dynamo Man open for another attack, as Fox used the crash bomb on him, which upon exploding blasted the robot towards the rest of the group, where Yang quickly met up with him for a flurry of punches, after which she switched to the Blazing Torch to deliver a fiery punch to the robot that send him crashing into a ceiling, where he then summoned a thunderstorm that crashed into the ground repeatedly, forcing the group to dodge, as he quickly got into another charging port and started to heal the damage he took.
But he only managed to get halfway with healing the damage, as Jaune had used his semblance to rush through the thunder storm and toughed out the damage, as he then jumped up and proceeded to slice the charging port to pieces, making Dynamo Man fall to the ground. Where Jaune then dropped to the ground and used the flame sword to stab through the robot. Only for him to deliver a powerful bolt of electricity to Jaune that led to the knight getting launched into a wall, and making him unable to move for a bit.
Dynamo Man tried to get up, due to being hindered by the stab wound in his torso, but was then hit by the scorch wheel that Yatsuhashi had send his way, causing him to get lit ablaze for a bit, as he tried to roll around on the ground in an attempt to get the fire to go out, as he felt his energy being drained. When the fire went out, he quickly got up and got an enraged look on his face, as he yelled "You think you can beat me, I'm the great and powerful dynamo man. You humans think you can beat me, but guess what, no one can beat me!"
"I dunno, pretty sure Rock has beaten you before. I don't think we'll have that much trouble taking you down." Replied Fox.
"Alright then, taste lightning!" Yelled Dynamo Man, as he started to rise from the ground due to an electric storm forming underneath him, as above him a massive electric orb was beginning to form. "I will take you all out, just you wait! You'll never make it to Wily!" he yelled as the orb started to get even bigger.
The remaining trio, while looking rather charred from getting hit by the lightning storm from earlier, all looked at each other and then nodded towards and switched to their proper weapons, as Yang then launched a series of chain blast bombs at the robot, which was followed by Fox shooting out several crash bombs which began to stick to Dynamo Man, after which Yatsuhashi shot out the scorch wheel again, which took the chain blast bombs with it, as the attacks then connected and blew up Dynamo Man who fell to the ground, in a dazed state.
However, despite this, the massive orb of electricity was still floating above him. But because Dynamo Man wasn't charging it up anymore it started to fall down, so when Dynamo Man got back up and ready to attack again, he saw the state he was in and said "Oh... it's one of those days isn't it..." After which the orb of electricity collided with him and the ground, exploding into a violent flurry of electricity, which the group made sure to shield themselves from.
Then once the explosion was over, the only thing left behind was the memory chip of the robot. So Yang picked it up from the ground and asked Fox and Yatsuhashi "You two don't mind if I take this, right?"
"No, go right ahead." Said Yatsuhashi.
"I'm fine with it." Said Fox.
"What about me, don't I get a say in this?" Asked a voice, belonging to Jaune, as the group turned around and saw him struggling to stand as his semblance was working overtime to boost his aura to the point that he could move again.
"Don't worry, I got you." Said Yatsuhashi, as he walked over to Jaune and assisted him with standing up again.
"Gotta say vomit boy, you really took one for the team there." Said Yang.
"Well, I saw an opening and I just knew I had to take it." Replied Jaune.
"It was a good call." Said Fox, while Yatsuhashi nodded.
"I agree, now what was this about you wanting another weapon?" Asked Yang.
"Don't worry, I was joking about that." Replied Jaune.
"Oh good, I was nearly going to fight you for it. And in your state, I don't think you would have lasted very long." Said Yang, giving Jaune a playful wink.
"I'm feeling better now, I'm sure I could take you. But regardless, you can take the weapon." Said Jaune.
"Don't mind if I do." Said Yang, as she absorbed the weapon and got the message "Lightning Bolt obtained." "Cool, I wonder what this does?" Yang wondered, as she tested it out and saw a flurry of thunder strikes hitting the ground around them. And with a look of glee in her eyes, she said "Oh, I'm so using this one next time we have to exterminate Grimm for an assignment."
"You're not gonna go overboard with it, right?" Asked Yatsuhashi.
"It'll be fine, I've never gone too far with these sorts of things." Replied Yang, as she saw that Jaune was standing up by himself and without any help and asked "Feeling better?"
"I'll manage, good job taking him out by the way. That goes for all of you." Replied Jaune, as he received nods from the rest of the group. They then left the room and continued walking through a rather empty looking hallway, until they reached a ladder that went down where they found an area filled to the brim with trash and discarded robot parts, with even the floor being covered in trash in some areas. "Huh, I didn't think a place filled with nothing but robots would have this much trash in it." Jaune noted, as he pointed at some napkins.
"It's not just trash." Said Yatsuhashi, as he saw some robotic arms sticking out of the trash and recognised them from earlier. "Whoever is picking up the trash, they are quite efficient at it. We only took those robots out recently."
"I mean look at this, Sword Man's legs and even Gravity Man's head. It's kinda weird." Said Jaune.
"As long as we don't get a robot zombie apocalypse on our hands we should be fine." Said Fox, making sure to not let himself sink too deep into any trash.
"Still, I don't why there is so much discarded food here." Jaune said.
"Oh that, well Rock has been able to eat food normally. So it would stand to reason that the robots here would be able to eat as well." Replied Yang, to which Jaune simply nodded. The group then kept moving through the trash, until they saw some robotic cockroaches appear from within the trash. To which Yang practically screeched "KILL IT, KILL IT, KILL IT!" As she used the lightning bolt to blast the robotic cockroaches to pieces, she then composed herself and said "Ignore what you just saw."
"Don't blame you for that reaction, I don't know why anyone would make robotic cockroaches." Replied Yatsuhashi.
"And here I thought Rock was just joking about that being a thing." Said Jaune.
"Heh, scaredy cats." Said Fox, as he stepped forward and fell through the layer of trash on the floor.
"Crap!" Yatsuhashi shouted, as he went down on his knees onto the floor and started to dig through the trash, until a few seconds later he managed to fish Fox out of the trash.
"Thanks Yatsu."
"Be more careful next time." Replied Yatsuhashi, where the group would then continue through the room, until they started to reach an area filled with pools of magma where trash was falling into the pools and then got burned up. "Now we should definitely be more careful." Said Yatsuhashi, as the group continued to move, even making sure to walk around some areas where trash chutes were dropping piles of trash down.
And as they were moving forward, Jaune kept thinking to himself while also focusing on making sure that none of the trash fell onto him. That was until he heard the voice of Fox in the back of his mind "Testing, one, two, three. Can everyone hear me?" This spooked Jaune for a bit, making him wonder if he was going crazy, until he heard the voice of Yatsuhashi say "Loud and clear, judging from his reaction, it would seem that those two are also connected."
"Uhm, guys, not that I don't mind this invasion of privacy but what is this?" Jaune asked in his mind.
"Don't worry, it's my semblance. A bit of short range telepathy, so I can stay in contact with my allies." Fox replied.
"Woah that's so cool, you guys use this during missions and stuff?" Asked Yang.
"We do, it's very easy for keep track of one another and to talk to each other during classes." Said Yatsuhashi.
"Professor Goodwitch was usually not very amused with us." Fox Added.
"Is that why we have the rule that during classes we aren't allowed to use semblances to communicate with classmates?" Asked Jaune.
"Yup, you can thank us for that." Said Fox.
"So why use this now?" Asked Jaune.
"You can never be too careful." Replied Fox.
"Good call." Said Yang, as the group continued moving forward through all the trash, until a large gap was reached where the group boarded a moving platform that took them over the gap. Where Yang then looked down as she noticed all the trash that was at the bottom of the gap, with more being dropped in through the trash chutes. So the group hoped that none of the trash would land on them.
However while they were focusing on that, Jaune's mind was beginning to wander "...Oh, I hope everyone's ok... I wonder how my team is doing?... Should I call them?... No that's silly... But what if something happened... No that's not possible... Can we even make it through this place... Will we even be successful?... Can I do this?..." He wondered in his mind, as the group reached the other end of the large pit and jumped off the platform to keep moving.
But despite that Jaune's mind was still wandering, so Yang called out to him "Jaune, we can all hear you. Calm down your nerves."
This took Jaune out of his thoughts, as he asked "You guys heard that?"
"All of it Jaune, I probably should have mentioned that while linked you can hear people's thoughts." Said Fox.
"Oh... I didn't know that." Replied Jaune.
"So... that was a lot of worry for one person. Want to talk about it?" Asked Yang.
"Not sure if there really is anything to talk about, everyone has doubts once in a while. Right?" Asked Jaune.
"You would be right about that, except this isn't just some doubts to be having. This seems to be so much more than that, so want to explain to us what those thought were about?" Asked Yatsuhashi.
Jaune sighed and replied "Ok... see it's mostly just a lot of self doubt about my abilities and whether or not I can measure up to the rest of you. Being able to keep up with all of you. But at the same time, I can't help but worry about the rest. And I get it that it sounds silly to worry about people who can take care of themselves, but they are still my teammates."
"Well, you're wrong about the last part. As a team leader it's a great quality to worry about your teammates and looking after them, so no, it's not weird to worry about their well being. Coco does it all the time, a bit much at times, but she does it because a team leader that doesn't look after their teammates, can't lead a proper team." Replied Yatsuhashi.
"I mean, that was made pretty clear when we had the lecture on leading a team at the start of the year... only par for the course really" Jaune muttered.
Yang frowned at hearing that being said, and replied "Jaune, let me ask you something. Do you think that I'm ever without doubts about things, do you think that I never question my own abilities?"
"No I don't actually, you always seem pretty confident in your abilities." Replied Jaune.
The compliment made Yang smirk for a bit, before saying "Oh my, if I didn't know any better, I'd almost say that you look up to me or something."
"Kind of, I mean Ruby looks up to you and despite her being younger than everyone else she's done pretty great as a leader so far. And you always seem to know what to do when she seeks you out for advice. I mean remember what happened when that little incident with the painting happened?" Asked Jaune, making Yang nod silently. "So yeah, you always come across as confident to everyone. It kind of reminds me of my older sister."
"Well you're wrong!" Yang snapped at Jaune, catching both him as well as Fox and Yatsuhashi off guard. "You think I never have any doubts, you think I never doubt my own abilities or whether or not I belong at Beacon? Well you're wrong! I may be strong, but on the inside I'm terrified that the next move I make might be the wrong one, to the point that it becomes irreversible. I worry about Ruby, and just like her I have doubts about whether or not I can live up to the legacy of the team of my parents."
"And even now I worry, because in case you haven't noticed, we are on a spacecraft far away from home because a mad scientist wants to destroy said home. And you don't think I'm not worried about my own teammates right now? That there aren't multiple scenarios running through my head where something bad happened to one of them and I wasn't there to help them? Well guess again Jaune, there are! So how selfish of you to think that you're the only one feeling that way!" Yang exclaimed, as he eyes turned red.
"Then how do you deal with it?" Asked Jaune, which took away some of Yang's anger as she sighed at the question.
"You allow them to form, but you don't let them cloud your mind." Said Yang.
"If I may give some advice." Yatsuhashi interjected "How about you just take a couple of deep breaths, clear your mind and find something to strive towards that can overpower these doubts. It can be anything, but you need to make sure it's something that you know can block out all of those doubts. Think you can do that for me?" He asked to which Jaune nodded in response. "Good, that's all I needed to hear."
Jaune then started to do exactly as he was told, he started to take a few deep breaths, tried to clear his mind of all the doubts he was having and tried replacing it with something he would need to strive towards. And very quickly images in his mind of his friends started flashing in his mind, until finally an image of him fighting alongside Pyrrha appeared in his mind and which quickly took away any feelings of doubt, and instead replaced it with a feeling of confidence.
"I think I got it." Said Jaune.
"He's not lying." Added Fox, as he took a quick listen into Jaune's thoughts and noticed there weren't any doubts in his mind currently.
"Good, now just a piece of advice, the doubts can return and there is nothing wrong with that. You just gotta make sure you know how to handle them, and maybe even tell your teammates so they can help you." Added Yatsuhashi.
"Ok, I will." Replied Jaune, making Yatsuhashi give him a quick thumbs up.
"You know, I'm kind of touched that you think so highly of me." Yang joked.
"Well, you know, even when you don't always take things one hundred percent seriously, you're still a force to be reckoned with." Replied Jaune.
"Oh is that so, please do go on."
"I would, but I don't think any of us would want to stay in all of this trash for much longer." Said Jaune.
Yang smirked and replied "Good point." As the group then continued moving through the trash, managing to dodge trash dropped from the trash chutes, making Yang wonder "Where is all of this metal even coming from?"
"Maybe with all of the other trash we found it could come from the robots." Said Jaune.
"But eventually it would have to run out, wouldn't it?" Asked Yang.
"Uhm, guys, we need to move, I can hear something move from underneath us." Said Fox telepathically, as the group began to quicken their pace.
"What got you so riled up?" Asked Yang.
"I don't know, but there is something down there and I'm really not looking forward to finding out what that could be." Replied Fox, as the group was running through all the trash, until Jaune decided to have a quick look behind him and saw that robotic zombies were starting to assemble, forming abominations made out of several parts of scrap metal.
"Crap, guys I figured out what the noise was!" Jaune yelled.
"And what would that be?" Asked Yang.
"Well see for yourself." Said Jaune, as Yang turned around and was shocked to see the horde of robotic zombies coming after them.
"Robot zombies, sure, why not, this might as well just happen!" Exclaimed Yang.
"Don't worry, I got this." Said Yatsuhashi, as he took a massive swing with his blade and sliced right through the robot zombies, as he then quickly ran away to catch up with the rest of the group, only for him to see that the robots had started to reassemble themselves. Freaking out Yatsuhashi, as he yelled out "They can rebuild themselves!"
"Well what do we do now?" Asked Fox.
"I got this." Replied Yang.
"Yang I already tried, it didn't work." Replied Yatsuhashi.
"You didn't try it twice." Yang answered, as she switched to the Lightning Bolt and let a barrage of lightning bolts rain down on the horde of robot, striking them all down as they were fried. "There, told you it would work." Yang said, only for the group to notice that the robots were once again rebuilding themselves.
"Great idea Yang, everybody RUN!" Yatsuhashi yelled.
"Yeah, where to?" Yang asked with an annoyed tone in her voice.
"There is a door up ahead, I think we can make it!" Yelled Jaune, as the group continued to run through the trash, while not noticing that more and more robot zombies were starting to pop out of the ground and began to ran after the group.
"Br...ains... brai...ns..." The robot zombies growled.
"You're robots, you don't need brains!" Yang yelled out, causing the zombies to get a contemplative look on their face.
"Li...vers... live...rs..."
"Yeah, that ought to do it." Replied Jaune sarcastically, as the zombies got closer while the group was still running, with them nearly managing to grab onto them, had it not been for them jumping through the massive doorframe, that then closed behind them right as the robot zombies tried to go in after them, with the sound of the robot zombies scratching at the door was heard. With the group finding themselves inside of a massive room, with trash all over the floor as well as scattered throughout the room.
"Phew, made it." Said Yang, as the ground started to shake after which two figures jumped out, with the two robots revealing themselves to look like a robot vacuum cleaner and a robot made out of various robotic parts. "Oh great, another zombie." Said Yang, referring to the second robot.
"Zombie... oi, I take offence to that blondie!" Exclaimed Junk Man with an angry expression on his face.
"Easy there Junk Man, these humans don't know what they are talking about." Replied Dust Man.
"Whatever, I wanted to have a rematch with Mega Man anyways, but since he's not here, I'm sure brining their remains as a present to him will be just as fine." Replied Junk Man, as both robots got into a fighting stance.
"Yup, compressed into a nice bloody cube." Added Dust Man.
"Not happening." Replied Yatsuhashi calmly, bringing out his sword into a fighting stance as well, and adding "Your overconfidence will be your downfall."
Time For The Scrap Heap - Dust Man and Junk Man
In response to that declaration Junk Man made balls of trash hover out of the trash pile, and fired it at the group while Dust Man was busy using the vacuum on his head to suck up some of the nearby trash, which Fox and Yang made sure to quickly dodge, while Jaune and Yatsuhashi used their blades to cut through the balls of trash. And right as they did so, Dust Man had finished sucking up the trash and had formed a massive cube of trash around the vacuum on his head.
Dust Man would then proceed to fire the trash cube from his head at the group, where Yatsuhashi then switched to the rain flush and thought to himself "Might as well see what this does." As a small packet that was tied to his waist got fired into the air, and created a small rain storm of acid rain that hit both Dust Man and Junk Man, as well as the giant cube of trash that began to decompose as a result, making the remains small enough for Yang to punch it to pieces.
Seeing this happen in front of them, Dust Man began to rapidly inhale more trash with his vacuum, while Junk Man kept throwing balls of trash at the group at a rapid pace forcing all of them to dodge as fast as possible lest they risk getting by the trash. However, after a little while, Dust Man got up and Junk Man grabbed him, and had Dust Man switch to the blow function, resulting in Dust Man shooting out pieces of junk at the group as fast as possible like a machine gun.
Jaune quickly switched to the star crash, and together with his shield, created a barrier that allowed most of the trash shot at them to collide into it, behind which the rest of the group quickly got behind to ensure they wouldn't be hit. After a while Yang saw an opening, and together with Fox, jumped out from behind the shield and rushed towards the two robots, making sure to avoid the stream of trash that was still being fired at them.
Yang then switched to the blazing torch and delivered a fiery uppercut to the two robots, that made Junk Man drop Dust Man onto the ground after which he got on the receiving end of several fiery punches from Yang before being uppercutted into the ceiling. All the while Fox switched to the rolling cutter, and send them towards Dust Man, the impact from them hitting colliding into him created an opening for Fox to deliver several slashes to the robot. However, Dust Man fired a block of trash from the vacuum on his head at point blank range and hit Fox with it.
This send Fox flying into Jaune's shield, while Junk Man enlarged his fist with more trash and delivered a powerful punch to Yang that also send her into Jaune's shield. But before the two could even attempt to hit the two with more trash, Yatsuhashi fired several scorch wheels at them, and managed to launch them backwards. Allowing Yang and Fox to both take a moment to recover, after which Yang switched to the chain blast and shot one of it's bombs straight into the vacuum on top of Dust Man's head.
Dust Man tried to get the explosive out of his head, but no matter how much he tried, it wouldn't budge and the beeping sound of it getting closer to detonation got closer, until finally Dust Man exclaimed "Avenge me Junk Man, avenge me!" after which the explosive went off and Dust Man's head exploded, after which what remained of his body dropped to the ground and exploded as well.
"Dust Man, no!" Junk Man yelled out in anger, as he then focused said anger onto the group and yelled out "I'm going to bury you all alive!" After which he punched the ground, shaking the entire room, as the floor beneath the group collapsed in on itself. Making all five of them fall into the room underneath them, where they landed onto a conveyer belt that was leading into an vat of molten steel Junk Man however, scoffed at this and said "Not what I was going, but I'll make due with what I got." As he then created a massive wall of trash on the conveyer belt behind the foursome, ensuring that none of them would be able to escape.
"What are you doing? You'll end up destroying yourself as well!" Jaune yelled out, as Yang tried to punch through the wall of trash, but found herself unable to get through it.
"I can be rebuild, you guys can't." Replied Junk Man, jumping over towards the group and enlarging his fists with more trash while in the air, and then struck down onto the conveyer belt, making Yatsuhashi nearly fall off it, if it wasn't for Fox quickly grabbing onto him and making sure that he wouldn't fall into the pitch black abyss that was below the conveyer belt. Junk Man then made his way over to Yang, who tried to deliver several punches to Junk Man, but instead of deterring the robot, she found herself getting punched off of the platform.
Thankfully, she was able to grab onto the bottom and was now trying to climb back onto it, but it left Jaune the only the person able to fight back against the robot who was starting to slowly approach him. Each time throwing piles of trash towards Jaune that blocked with his shield. Where he then found Junk Man standing in front of him, getting ready to strike him to down with a punch, only for Jaune to panic and retaliated by rapidly slashing his sword against the robot, where he then found that he had sliced Junk Man's arms off.
Jaune burst out laughing and said "What are you going to do now, you've been disarmed!" Only to find that Junk Man simply reattached his arms onto his body, after which he picked up Jaune and carried him over to the end of the conveyer belt and got ready to throw him into the tub of molten steel at the end of the conveyer belt.
"Say goodbye human." Said Junk Man, as he then nearly threw Jaune into the vat, only for him to get punched off of the conveyer belt and into the vat of molten steel by Yang, who managed to catch Jaune in mid air and get both of them away from the vat of molten steel. But as for Junk Man, he was beginning to get melted down as a result of falling into the vat of molten steel. "NO! This... won't be... the end of... me..." Junk Man exclaimed, before sinking completely into the vat while giving a thumbs up to the group.
Yang smirked, put Jaune down and said "You're terminated sucker." After which she and Fox got a message on their scroll that read "Dust crusher obtained." for Yang and "Junk Shield obtained." for Fox.
"That's odd, you guys didn't even get the data chip from them." Said Jaune.
"Perhaps the data went over to them because they were the closest people with that type of copy ability on their scrolls." Replied Yatsuhashi.
"Like a cloud service." Said Jaune.
"Could be like that."
"That might just be it actually, couple of days ago I went to ask Doctor Light how we were able to use Rock's weapons and he explained that he installed a version of his copy system onto our scrolls. So you two are pretty close in regards to that." Said Yang.
"Well, I'm sure the good doctor would know what he's talking about." Said Fox.
"So, how are we getting out of here?" Asked Yatsuhashi, as he noticed that the group was still moving slowly on the conveyer belt towards the vat of molten steel and was moving away from the vat of molten steel very slowly to make sure they wouldn't fall in.
"Maybe follow the conveyer belt, and see where it leads us." Yang suggested, as the rest of the group nodded and quickly began to walk over the conveyer belt. And after a long while of walking on the trail of trash, they found a small staircase where they were able to get off the conveyer belt and where they made their way over to a closed door. But once they did the room began too shake and the door burst open, revealing an entire horde of robot zombies, and looking around themselves in the room, they saw that the entire room was beginning to get filled to the brim with robot zombies and they were quickly blocking the path of the group to get out.
"What do we do!?" Jaune exclaimed.
"Maybe we get back onto the conveyer belt and find a way to escape." Said Fox, to which the rest of the group nodded and quickly ran back onto the conveyer belt with all of them being followed by the horde of zombie robots. However, the moment they found themselves back onto the conveyer belt the speed at which the conveyer belt was normally moving increased to the point that it was sending the foursome at a quick pace towards the vat of molten steel. While the horde of robot zombies began to fill up the entire room, the group saw the vat come closer towards them.
