Volume 4 Chapter 19: Inside the Wily Star (Part 4 of 4)

"Back I say, I'm warning you!" Nora exclaimed, as she slammed her hammer onto the ground to intimidate her foes.
"Hah! You don't scare us girly!" Exclaimed Uranus with confidence in his voice.
But Mars wasn't as confident, as he whispered to Uranus "Uhm, they were able to shake off our most powerful move, I don't think these guys are human. Should we really antagonise them like that?"
"Oh please, I'm not scared of them. The girl with the hammer might be intimidating, but those two girlies are shaking in their boots, as for that guy, he's but a twig, he doesn't scare me, I can break him in two in an instant." Repplied Uranus, only for him to get smacked into a nearby wall by an annoyed looking Nora.
"What did you say about my man, punk." Said Nora.
"Did someone call my name?" Asked a red robot with spikes all over his body that had just entered the room through the door at the end of the hallway.
"I'm sorry who are you supposed to be?" Asked Ren, as Roll quickly recognised the new robot that had joined them.
"That's Punk, one of the Mega Man Killers." Said Roll
"Oh hey there Roll, how have you been since the last time we saw each other?" Replied Punk politely.
"Drop the act buster." Said Nora.
"Listen, I'm part of the Mega Man Killer, not the Roll Killers." Replied Punk coldly, as he then turned to both Mars and Uranus "Care to explain why they're not dead?"
"Look man, we have everything under control, no need to start breathing down our necks, especially considering you don't have one." Said Mars, only for Punk to slam him on his head.
"You're not exactly one to talk, Mars. And this doesn't seem under control, if this was under control those four would be out for the count. But what I'm instead seeing is them alive and well, systems all over the Wily Star malfunctioning and a message from Doctor Wily that he nearly got flushed down the toilet. So tell me, is this under control?" Asked Punk.
"Uh, yes because we were getting the situation back under control." Replied Uranus.
"Wrong answer." Replied Punk, as he eyed the group who were now staring at them. "But, you know what they always say, if you want something done right, do it yourself." As the trio of robots got into fighting stances, while the foursome did the same.
Short Fuse Trio - Mars, Uranus and Punk
Uranus immediately started by slamming his foot onto the ground which caused blocks to fall from the ceiling, which landed right next to him, as he punched several of the blocks towards the foursome. Forcing Roll, Ren and Velvet to quickly dodge out of the way of the blocks, while Nora used the top spin to quickly spin around and then slam the blocks away from them. With some of them hitting Uranus, who then stomped his foot on the ground again, which this time created a block shield around him to block more of the incoming projectiles from Nora.
Mars then began to fire missiles from the canons on top of his head and on his arms, which were quickly shot down by Ren shooting rounds from his weapons at them while Roll used her staff to deflect the missiles away from her friends. Where Mars would then quickly begin to rush around the arena in the hopes of crashing into his opponents, forcing them to quickly dodge out of the way.
But what they didn't notice was that Mars had placed land mines all over the floor, and it wasn't much later until Ren had stepped on one of the land mines and heard a clicking sound. Roll heard this, and quickly rushed over to help Ren out by slamming her staff into the landmine, which knocked it into several other landmines, which were knocked into both Uranus and Mars, creating a massive explosion that launched them into the ceiling.
Leaving Punk the only one left to fight the group, as he curled up into a massive blade and spun towards the group, trying to take Velvet out first, only for him to get knocked away by a combination of Nora's hammer and Roll's staff. While Ren threw several hyper bombs in the location that Punk was going to land, which resulted in Punk landing in an explosion. But despite that, he wasn't out for the count, as he immediately stood back up and had his eyes start to glow.
Punk then proceeded to throw several Screw Crushers throughout the room in an attempt to hit the group, which then began to bounce of the walls when they hit them, and managed to hit both Nora and Ren in the back, while Velvet used the Thunder Beam from her camera to blast the projectiles to pieces, while Roll used her staff to deflect several of the metal projectiles back away from them and towards Punk, with some of them managing to hit the rampaging robot.
The robot then got enraged and curled back up into his screw form, but rather than try to attack the heroes, he went upwards and bore a hole into the ceiling, where he proceeded to go and dig around in the ceiling. Causing an avalanche of blocks to begin falling down on the foursome, as they were quickly forced to dodge the blocks that were falling from the ceiling. With Ren quickly firing several Yamato Spears at the blocks which shot the ones that were hit into the wall.
Velvet used her camera to done an armour that was similar to the one Rock wore, and began to blast away the rocks that were falling from above them with several charged shots. At that moment a large stack of blocks landed on the floor, and it was clear that not only was Punk inside the large stack of blocks, but so were Mars and Uranus who Punk had picked up while going through the ceiling and they began to roll around in said cube at a rapid speed, while also shooting out their weapons at the group, forcing the group to quickly dodge out of the way.
And while they were doing so, Roll who was also dodging out of the way from the attacks, meaning that she had to focus immensely, began to charge up an Atomic Fire until it was fully charged and she fired a massive ball of atomic heat at the blocks, which managed to melt through the blocks, missiles and screw crushers that were fired her way. Until the blast managed to reach the blocks and collided with it, which caused the whole thing to explode, and launched the three robots to one end of the room.
Uranus was the first to get back up, as he quickly grabbed both Punk and Mars, and held the latter like a cannon while holding onto the former like a spiked mace that started to spin around in a blind rage as he yelled out "Let's see you survive this!" As he quickly jumped into the air and onto the floor which created a shockwave that caused several block pillars to rise from the ground, with Ren being on one of them, as the robot tried to use Punk as a mace to hit Ren repeatedly, only for him to quickly dodge out of the way, while Roll jumped in instead with her staff to deflect more of the hits from Punk.
But while that was going on Uranus was also using Mars to shot missiles around the room blindly, forcing Nora to use top spin with her hammer to deflect the missiles, which broke down a nearby wall revealing a room that stored more missiles for the Wily Star's outer defence system. And it was then that Nora got a brilliant idea to end this fight as fast as possible, so while she continued to deflect more missiles, she made her way over to Velvet who was helping out Ren with taking care of some blocks that were falling from the ceiling, and shared the idea with the two of them through a look that was shared.
While in the meantime, Roll was starting to get into some trouble, as Uranus had managed to get the upper hand on her and was about to knock her down through brute force. Until Velvet through a combination of the Copy Vision and the Thunder Beam was able electrocute the trio of robots for long enough to stun them, where Ren would then pelt the three robots with a barrage of Yamato Spear, which was then followed up by Nora summoning a meteor through the Astro Crush and hit the three robots with it, stunning them completely.
Nora then lined herself up with the opening of the storage room and used her hammer to slam the trio of robots into that room, before shooting one of her grenades into the room after transforming her hammer into it's grenade launcher form. The grenade launched then collided with the missiles and then exploded, taking the trio of robots out in the massive explosion that formed as a result of the missiles exploding, as three memory chips launched towards the group from the explosion.
The foursome looked at the memory chips before looking at each other, with Velvet speaking up first "I don't mind you guys taking these, I have enough for now." To which the rest of the group simply nodded.
Ren picked up one of the of the chips and got the message "Screw Crushed Obtained." Roll did the same and got the message "Photon Missile Obtained." Nora then followed that up and got the message "Deep Digger Obtained."
"Wow, not bad." Said Nora about the weapons that were obtained, as she turned to Roll where Nora noticed that she was looking rather saddened and said "Speaking of not bad, we talked about this earlier, but you need to have some more confidence in your own abilities. You did great during the fight."
"Even though I nearly lost the struggle against the three of them." Replied Roll sombrely.
"You technically fought against three robots at once, that's nothing to be ashamed off." Said Ren.
"I don't think Rock would be able to handle that either." Added Velvet.
"So come on, have some more faith in yourself. Rock believes in you, and so do the rest of us. And don't forget it" Said Nora.
"Ok, I won't forget it." Replied Roll, as Nora put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Good, now let's go. That key won't steal itself." Said Nora, as the group made their way over to the door at the end of the room, while passing more weapon storage rooms. And as most of the group passed through the door, Nora got a mischievous look on her face, quickly opened the doors to the storage rooms and fired several Thunder Bolts through the doorways, hitting some of the missiles inside in the process.
Nora then quickly made her way through the door to the next room, as behind her the entire weapon depot of the Wily Star exploded, which created a chain reaction that led to the missiles that were stored in the missiles launchers all throughout the Wily Star to explode, leading to a good portion of the defences to stop working. Nora then caught up with the rest of the group, as they found themselves in a room with only a teleporter present and a pink key in a glass case that had the letter I inscribed on it.
"Huh, look at that, all cute and pink." Said Nora, as she smashed the glass case and grabbed the key.
"Why is there an I on that key?" Velvet wondered.
"Well, there were four keyholes and Wily has four letters in his name." Noted Ren.
"He wouldn't be that arrogant, would he... wait what am I saying, he has W's plastered all over his fortresses and devices." Said Roll.
"Regardless, that's one key for us. Let's see where this teleporter takes us." Said Nora, as she entered the teleporter and teleported away, with the rest of the group quickly following after her.
Back with Team PPNS
"What the..." Saturn started.
"...Heck!" Stardroid Neptune finished, with both robots continuing to look at the group in shock after seeing them get freed.
"What's wrong, did the two ancient robots underestimate the present day humans and robot?" Asked Weiss with a cold tone in her voice, as she and Neptune got into fighting stances along with Pyrrha and Penny.
"No, you four were frozen solid. You shouldn't have gotten out!" Yelled Saturn.
"Easy there Saturn, it's not worth getting upset over." Replied Stardroid Neptune.
"We had the perfect trap, they should not have been able to escape that!" Saturn exclaimed.
"I know, I know, it's frustrating for me as well..." Replied Stardroid Neptune, after which he turned to the foursome and asked "Uhm, you guys mind if I just take a second to calm him down. I know this might be a weird request, we did just try to kill the four of you, but just a second."
"Sure." Replied Weiss, with a hint of confusion in her voice.
Stardroid Neptune gave her a quick nod, and pulled Saturn away with him to the other end of the hallway, while Saturn began to swear up a storm "What the fuck, no seriously, what the..." Only for Stardroid Neptune to stop him by covering his mouth.
"Ok, now, I'm going to remove my hand and when I do you are going to be calm about this? Can you do that for me?" Asked Stardroid Neptune, to which Saturn quietly nodded "Good." As he removed his hand and said "I get that you're mad, but this doesn't help us."
"But it was perfect, we got them right where we wanted them and then that happens." Saturn whines.
"I get it, but getting mad will only benefit them. Now listen, I heard the white haired girl talking through an ear piece, so I think they had help from some of their allies. I promise you that if we try again that we'll get them this time, no one will be there to help them." Replied Stardroid Neptune.
Saturn sighed and replied "Very well then, how come you can alway manage to calm us down?"
"I don't know man, maybe it's my element that calms me, maybe our creator Ozark the Intelligent wanted one of us to act as a peacekeeper, I really don't know." Replied Stardroid Neptune.
"Whatever happened to him that caused us to be sealed away?" Saturn wondered.
"Don't remember, but that doesn't matter right now. Are you feeling better?" Stardroid Neptune asked to which Saturn nodded, so the two walked back to the foursome who had been waiting for them to come back, and right as they returned he said "Apologies for the wait, my friend here sometimes gets frustrated with things."
"That's alright, we've got plenty of friends who have the same thing." Said Neptune.
"Great, can you let us through, we're here to get a key as weird as that sounds." Said Weiss.
"Ah right, now that my mind is clearer, I remember. We can't let you go through." Replied Saturn.
"The way things usually go, I would be more surprised if it was any different." Said Pyrrha, as the two robots got into fighting stances which the group mimicked.
Swimming through rings - Neptune and Saturn
The eyes on Stardroid Neptune began to glow as he used one of his hands to fire several shots of salt water bubbles at the group, which forced them to dodge out of the way while penny used some of her blades to deflect the bubbles only for her to notice that it started to eat away at some of her blades, so she quickly jumped out of the way and started to spin her blades rapidly to get rid of the substance that was eating at her blades. While she was doing that Stardroid Neptune used his other hand to raise water out of the pools next to them and created a massive tidal wave that he send towards the group.
Pyrrha quickly jumped into the air, landed on top of the tidal wave and began to use her shield as a surfboard. Where she managed to grab onto Weiss and Penny as Neptune had jumped out of the way, and the three of them were carried all throughout the room, with the sudden movements of the wave making them unable to fight back due to needing to keep their balance. Weiss then had an idea and jumped off the shield and quickly summoned a glyph in mid air and landed on it, where she would be able to quickly get her bearings as well as see how the rest of the group was doing.
She then noticed that Saturn had been standing still since the fight, and seemed to be charging up something, so Weiss decided to keep her eyes on the robot. While in the meantime Neptune was still dodging the water that was being send all throughout the room, but at least managed to find a quick opening where he used his weapon in it's blaster form to shoot the stardroid that shared his name with the freeze cracker in the hopes that it would freeze the robot in place, but all it seemed to do was annoy the robot more than anything.
So, since trying to hit the stardroid didn't do much, Neptune instead decided to take aim for the tidal wave and took several shots at it, which actually seemed to work as the entire wave froze over and with the sudden stop of the wave Pyrrha and Penny were launched off the wave. But Penny was able to grab Pyrrha and hover the both of them back onto the ground, where they landed next to Neptune.
Stardroid Neptune tried once again to send a torrent of water their way, only for Pyrrha to use the centaur flash to blind the robot temporarily, while Neptune used the leaf shield to block the incoming torrent of water that had already been send their way from hitting him and Pyrrha. While Penny jumped out of the way, and used her blades infused with the fire storm to strike Stardroid Neptune several times, knocking him into a nearby wall and stopping the flow of water.
But before any of them could celebrate, time stopped and they were all frozen in place as Saturn had finished charging up his ring, and used his mastery over time and space to stop time. After which he held up his ring which had formed a miniature black hole and was beginning to suck the trio into it. Only for Weiss to launch herself towards the robot from the wall and strike him repeatedly by quickly summoning glyphs all around Saturn, knocking him into a wall and deactivating the black hole that was summoned in his ring, as he struggled to get up he asked "How?"
"Simple, you're not the only one who can mess with time." Replied Weiss, as she remembered the last few minutes of the fight and had a feeling that Saturn was up to something with his ring and was simply using stardroid Neptune to keep them busy. So Weiss began to summon a powerful time dilation glyph, and right as Saturn had stopped time she activated it to strike him down before he could hurt any of her friends.
"Oh, very impressive, you think you got us all figured out. But we've got one last trick up our non-existent sleeves." Replied Saturn, as he snapped his fingers after which Stardroid Neptune joined his side and began to pull out the water from the nearby pools of water and began to fill up the room, which caught the group in another underwater trap, as Saturn said "Enjoy swimming through rings." As he then once again activated his ring and began to suck the group along with the water into the ring.
Penny quickly put her blades into the ground and allowed Pyrrha, Weiss and Neptune to hold onto her while they all used the aura technique to hold in their breath, while Penny also used thee gravity hold to keep the group in place. But even then it wasn't an easy task for them, as the struggle to keep holding onto one another while being sucked towards certain death was beginning to tire them with each passing second, and the black hole was getting more powerful to counter the gravity hold. So in an attempt to free themselves from this situation, Weiss called out to a panicking Neptune "Neptune, I know you're afraid, we all are... But you have to do something."
But the words weren't reaching him, instead he was panicking and flashing back to what had happened all those years ago. Him and his brother in this exact situation, both trapped in a bubble of water and his brother nearly dying because of it. A situation that had been his fault, it was because of him that he had nearly killed his own family member. But looking around him, and seeing not just Weiss, but the rest of the group calling out to him to do something, it made him focus again, focus on the present and what was right in front of him. A chance to make right what he had messed up all those years ago, and so he stretched out his arms, closed his eyes and focused on the water around him.
It took a few seconds of deep focus while making sure he wasn't sucked into the ring, until he then opened his eyes as they lit up for a bit and he started to control the water around himself and then in the room. Where he got into a struggled with Stardroid Neptune, as the robot was still controlling the water, only for Neptune to overpower the robot and send the water backwards with an incredible force that it knocked the two robots backwards, and freed his team.
And as he send the massive wave of water backwards Saturn dropped his ring and immediately got suck into it, where the ring then immediately exploded and dropped a memory chip. As Stardroid Neptune exclaimed "Saturn, NO!" only for him to get speared to a wall by Pyrrha's spear, before being sliced in half by Penny's blades, as he then also exploded and dropped his memory chip on the ground as well. Neptune then used his semblance to put the water back in the nearby pools, as he then deactivated his semblance and dropped to his knees in exhaustion.
"I did it, I actually did it." Neptune said, as he felt a reassuring hand from Weiss on his shoulder.
"How are you feeling?" Weiss asked with concern in her voice.
"Better, I think that when we get back to Remnant that I'm going to call my brother, tell him I'm doing better. I still have a long way to go with my fear of water, and my semblance, but I feel I took a step in the right direction." Replied Neptune.
"You sure did." Said Pyrrha.
Penny then walked over to the group with the two memory chips in hand, pulled Neptune up from the ground and said "I'm so happy that my lessons worked."
Neptune smiled at the red head and said "You sure did."
"So, who wants the new weapons that were left behind?" Asked Penny.
"You guys can have them, I don't think I can find much use out of them." Said Neptune.
"I'm fine with you guys taking them as well." Replied Pyrrha.
"Very well then." Said Weiss, as she and Penny nodded to one another, as Weiss grabbed one of the memory chips and got the message "Black Hole Obtained." "A second black hole weapon, well I'm sure I can convince Rock to let me keep this." Weiss mused. As Penny then grabbed the other one and got the message "Salt Water Obtained."
"Oh wow that's really cool." Said Penny, as she used her blades to shoot out balls of salt water at the walls which led to some parts of the walls to get slightly dissolved. "I can make use of this."
"I'm sure you will, unfortunately this is where your journey comes to its end." Said a yellow robot with a spear that had just entered the room.
"And who are you supposed to be?" Asked Weiss looking at the robot with a suspicious look in her eyes..
"Me? Well I'm Enker, one of the three and a half Mega Man killers and I must say I'm quite impressed with your accomplishments here." Replied Enker.
"Why three and a half? Why not just four?" Asked Pyrrha.
"If you must know, there were originally three of us, but then Wily added another one to our ranks and while he has given Mega Man trouble in the past, we don't accept him as one of our own." Said Enker.
"Well that's not very nice." Said Penny.
"No my problem that he was so weak." Replied Enker, as he eyed Penny with contempt in his eyes and said "Just like you are."
"Why is she weak?" Asked Pyrrha.
"Clearly because she believes in peace between robots and humans, just like Mega Man did." Replied Enker.
"And yet Rock beat you, so tell me, what does that make your view?" Asked Weiss, to which Enker merely scoffed.
"Very well then, show me what you're made off." Replied Enker, pointing his spear at the group.
Arrogant Spear Warrior - Enker
Pyrrha upon hearing that immediately engaged Enker by first throwing her shield at the robot, which Enker quickly deflected with his spear making it return to Pyrrha, after which Pyrrha and Penny quickly engaged the robot in a clash of weapons. As Pyrrha repeatedly jabbed the robot with her spear, while Penny used her blades to repeatedly strike the robot. Only for Enker to quickly tangle the wires of Penny's blades around his spear, and then through the use of those wires threw Penny into Pyrrha throwing them away from him, as the two of them got tangled up together.
With Pyrrha quickly using polarity on a nearby wall to halt their speed, and land on the ground safely after which they began to try and free themselves from the wires. As in the meantime Weiss and Neptune began to engage the robot, with Weiss using her glyphs that she spread across the walls to repeatedly strike the robot while Neptune was firing shots from his blaster which to his surprise seemed to damage Enker more than the bladed weapons.
So seeing an opportunity Neptune continued to fire at the robot while Weiss continued to create openings for him by keeping the robot busy, but after a few more hits from Neptune, Enker smirked and gave a powerful strike towards Weiss which knocked her off her balance making her fall to the ground. Neptune then saw a powerful aura grow around Enker, as the robot held his spear high up in the air before lowering it and shooting large waves of energy at the group forcing them to duck to avoid getting hit.
After which Enker jumped high into the air and then slammed his spear into the ground creating a massive shockwave that quickly knocked over Neptune and stunned the rest of the group that were still on the floor. Enker then said "I'll have this battle finished within an instant." As he then rushed over to Neptune, knocked his blaster out of his hands and delivered several powerful jabs to Neptune with his spear, and while Neptune tried to get up again, and after a few jabs he delivered a powerful strike to him that send him spiralling into a nearby wall.
Enker then rushed over to Weiss who had been helped up by a now freed Pyrrha and Penny, and began to engage all three of them in combat. And quickly tried to strike them down, only for Penny to quickly retaliate for him attacking Neptune, by using her blades with the fire storm hit the robot with a powerful a strike that knocked Enker backwards, as he was then met with several blocks dropping on him as Weiss had summoned a glyph above where he would land, as Enker was then buried under all of those blocks.
Only for him to quickly punch his way out of those blocks as he then used his spear to launch those blocks away from him, having three of them hit Weiss in her stomach making her fall over, while Penny quickly used her blades to deflect the blocks. But unfortunately for her she couldn't block one of them, and got hit by one of the blocks in the head, knocking her on the ground. Leaving Pyrrha the only one left to fight the robot, so she quickly used the centaur flash to quickly blind the robot to create enough distance between her and Enker as she needed to come up with a plan to him out, as firing shots at him clearly didn't work and only seemed to make him stronger and then it hit her.
Which was good, because Enker had managed to regain his bearings and was about to charge at Pyrrha, only for him to get hit in the face by several magnet missiles which exploded upon impact. After which Pyrrha used her polarity to pull Enkers spear out of his hand, as he then decided to rush towards Pyrrha with his fists as he then tried to strike her. Only for his fist to make contact with Pyrrha's shield which blocked the attack, as she then used her polarity to fire her own spear towards the robot and pin him to a wall through his torso.
Seeing the situation he was in, Enker chuckled and said "Not bad for a human, you can have my weapon after this." As Pyrrha gave the robot a respectful nod and through the use of polarity Pyrrha launched Enker's own spear at him. This impaled the robot straight through the head, as he then exploded and left behind his memory chip. Pyrrha picked it up and got the message "Mirror Buster Obtained." Pyrrha then tested it out by activating the weapon, and seeing a little barrier appear in front of her, where she then used her weapon in it's gun form to shoot herself, only to find the barrier deflect the shot.
"Oh, not bad, not bad at all." Said Pyrrha, as she was then met up with Weiss, Neptune and Penny.
Penny gave Pyrrha a bone crushing hug and said "You did great."
"Thanks... please let go... I need oxygen." Replied Pyrrha, as Penny gave her an apologetic nod. The group then looked over to the door, and Pyrrha said "There is nothing stopping us now, let's go get that key." To which the rest of the group nodded, as they walked through rest of the hallway and then through the door as they were there met with a glass case. Which Penny then smashed with her hand through and pulled out a green key with the letter Y on it. They then saw the teleporter located in the room, so they went in it and were teleported away.
Back with Team JYYF
"Finally, we made it up the stairs. Why did it have to be stairs!" Jaune complained as he fell to his knees, as he entered the door that took them back to the main area and the group found themselves in a hallway after the room where they had fought Junk Man and Dust Man in.
"Honestly, there should have been an elevator there." Said Yang.
"Or at the very least something that could have taken us back through the hole in the ceiling, that could have helped." Replied Yatsuhashi, feeling annoyed as well.
"Sorry guys, we tried every button here in the control room, but there was nothing there that could make it easier for you." Replied Rock through the earpieces.
"It's fine Rock, there is nothing that could have been done. Besides we made it here now that's all that matters." Replied Fox, as he turned to the rest and added "If you're done complaining, we have a job to... do..." Fox was stunned when he heard the door open, heard two beings enter the room.
"It's impossible that they're just gone, that can't be." Said the first being.
"Again Venus, they took out our allies, got help dealing with the trap and then vanished. I don't know what else to tell you." Said the second being.
"I know Jupiter, but where could they have possibly gone, the only way out of this part of the ship is through the teleporter and even then we would have known about it." Said the first being.
"Ahem." Coughed the group.
"Not now!" Both robots yelled, only for their realisation to hit them and turn around to face the group.
"Sup, you wouldn't happen to be looking for us would you?" Asked Yang.
"Uh, yeah, we actually were. And here you are, see Jupiter I told you it would be fine." Said Venus.
"Quiet you pissant." Jupiter snapped, as he turned to Yang "Yes, we were looking for you. Now if you humans would be so kind as to follow us to the right place that would be great."
"Why not just fight you two here?" Asked Jaune.
"We would, but Saturn here decided to be a stick in the mud and insisted we brought you to the proper room to avoid more damages to the ship. Something about the doctor dismantling us if we don't obey him." Said Venus, to which Jupiter simply pinched his nose in annoyance.
"Venus, that's literally what he said." Replied Jupiter, as he turned to the group and said "Ignore him, and just follow me." To which the group simply nodded, and began to follow the duo through more hallways as they did their best to ignore the constant arguing of the two, until after a few minutes the group arrived at a large open ended area that was completely devoid of trash. "And here we are, the place of our battlefield and your demises."
"Oh wow, I feel so honoured you brought us here, truly honoured." Replied Yang sarcastically.
"Don't take it too personally, it's just the way we were programmed. I'm sure that if things weren't like this, we'd be friends." Said Venus.
"Well, we did hear that Doctor Light is allowed to rebuild the robots. So maybe we can make that a reality." Said Fox.
"Unfortunately that's not the case, and we can't allow you all to pass." Replied Jupiter, with a tone in his voice that Fox swore sounded like regret. "Regardless, have at thee." Jupiter said, as he activated the thrusters on his shoulder pads and began to hover in the air, while Venus aimed his arm cannon at the group.
Bickering Duo - Venus and Jupiter
The group immediately had to keep an eye on both robots, as Venus had started to cover himself in exploding bubbles while Jupiter was flying through the air at rapid speeds, while raining down blasts of thunder towards the ground, forcing the group to quickly dodge out of the way to avoid getting hit. Making Yang wish that she had taken Nora with her if she knew that they'd be facing off against a robot with thunder powers.
Jaune then dodged another thunder strike to the floor, when he bumped into the explosive bubble covered Venus and braced for impact when the robot blew up the bubbles. But despite the explosion Jaune stood still and slashed the robot with the use of the flame sword, which launched Venus in the air and made him crash into Jupiter, who out of anger shot Venus to the ground with the use of the electric beam coming from his buster.
Who Yatsuhashi quickly returned towards Jupiter through the use of his sword, as Jupiter caught Venus and threw him back to the ground in the hope that he would hit someone. Only for Fox to use his arm blades to hit him back into the air, which Jupiter blocked and then he threw Venus towards the ground, but got quickly countered by Jaune using his shield to block the impact. Leaving Jupiter completely distracted when Yang launched herself in the air with her gauntlets, as she then used the blazing torch to knock Jupiter out of the air towards the floor.
But before any of them could start hitting Jupiter, Venus came in and covered the entire room in explosive bubbles. So Venus helped up Jupiter, who used the claws on his feet to grab onto Venus and fly into the air, while the group were caught in the explosion that was caused by the bubbles, as it led to them being knocked towards the ground, all except for Yatsuhashi who managed to stay standing after that, as he then send a rain flush into the air and let it rain down acid rain. Which damaged the thrusters on Jupiters shoulders.
Jupiter began to lose altitude as a result of this happening, so he said to Venus "Sorry about this, but to me you've become dead weight." As he then electrified Venus and launched the robot downwards to the ground, and upon landing created an electrified shockwave, that travelled across the floor and managed to hit Yatsuhashi who seemed to be able to tank the hit, but internally was trying to hold in a pained scream from the pain of getting hit by all that electricity.
But the rest of the group where able to avoid the electric shockwave, and rushed towards Venus who tried to stand up, only for him to get a flurry of slashes from both Fox and Jaune's blades, after which Yang send out massive chain blast of explosives towards the robot, which upon exploding made the robot fall over as electricity began to crackle around him, with Venus saying "I'll get you... for this... Jupiter..." After which he exploded and left behind a memory chip, which Yatsuhashi picked up, after which he got the message "Bubble Bomb Obtained."
Jupiter got a look of fear in his eyes as he noticed that Yatsuhashi had switched to the bubble bomb and was aiming upwards, as he send out several explosives upwards, which Jupiter quickly tried to dodge only for him to fly directly into the path of a blast that Yang had send upwards. Which hit him, and made him crash into a cluster of bubble bombs that had been send upwards, making him crash down towards the ground as upon landing on the ground his the thrusters on his shoulder pads stopped working and he was met with a threatening look from the group.
He then smirked as he aimed his buster towards to the ground, causing a wave of electricity to be send outwards, forcing the group to quickly dodge out of the way and away from Jupiter who had managed to get back up due to the chaos caused by the wave. As he then summoned a small orb of electricity in the palm of his hand and started charging it up. Which Jaune, Yang and Yatsuhashi saw, while Fox merely felt a change in the atmosphere. As Yang asked "Uh, whatcha got there?"
"My power source, an orb of electricity with the power of one megaton bomb. I'm ending this fight, you've all lost." Replied Jupiter, as the orb continued to glow and even began to grow in size as more and more energy was starting to crackle around it. And as that was happening, and as the group were discussing amongst themselves Jupiter shots an electric blast towards Jaune, who got hit and as a result of the powerful hit started to kneel down on the floor.
It was then that Jupiter threw the orb towards the group right as it was starting to become critical, which Jaune caught and started to hold onto. While Jupiter tried to make a run for it, only for Fox to throw the rolling cutter at him, which cut off both of his feet and made him fall to the ground, as he heard Fox say "You're not going anywhere."
"Won't this thing destroy the station as well?" Asked Yatsuhashi.
"No, this room was designed to withstand ten of those going off. It would have been the perfect trap." Replied Jupiter, while in the meantime Yang and Jaune where fighting with each other to get a hold of the orb, with Yang trying to get Jaune to release it, while Jaune was trying to hold onto it.
"Let go off the orb you idiot! It's about to explode!" Yang yelled, as she tried her hardest to have Jaune let go of the orb, not wanting any of her friends to get hurt due to the explosion it might cause.
"No, I can take it." Replied Jaune.
"Not even you have that much aura to spare, let go of..." Yang was about to yell, only for the orb to explode in an explosion that lit up the room in a bright light and with enough force to cause the whole space station to shake. After nearly half a minute of bright lights and an annoying ringing sound caused by being so close to the explosion, the lights died down, and Yang was still standing while her hair shone a bright white light as opposed to her usual fire look.
She saw the state her friends were in, and was about to scream out in anger over the possibility of them potentially being dead, when all of them let out a cough, with Jaune weakly opening his eyes as he said "Told you I could take it..."
"Oh thank goodness, don't ever do that again! When someone says you don't have enough aura, you listen to them!" Yang yelled out.
"I still have a little bit... and I can feel it replenishing itself." Jaune replied, as he noticed the change in Yang's hair colour. "You're hair is different."
"Huh?" Yang wondered, as she looked at her body and saw a slight whitish aura surrounding herself. "Oh, I haven't had that since Torch Man, be right back." Yang said as she rushed over towards the still active Jupiter who was trying his hardest to crawl away, only for his head to be grabbed by Yang "And where do you think you're going."
Jupiter looked over at Yang, and shrieked "Get away from me you demon! Stay away from me! You're not human! You shouldn't have survived that!"
"Maybe, but at least I didn't try to kill four people without any remorse." Replied Yang, as she held up Jupiter by the neck and raised her hand up, as she put all of her energy into her other fist and then punched straight through the robot, after which the robot exploded violently and left behind it's memory chip. Yang picked it up, looked it over and said "Hmm, I already have an electric weapon, Jaune why don't you take it, on me." as she threw the memory chip towards Jaune.
"Thanks, I'm sure I can use this." Replied Jaune, as he took the weapon and got the message "Electric Shock Obtained."
"Good to see that you're feeling better." Said Yatsuhashi.
"Yeah thanks, Yang was right I shouldn't have tried to tank that explosion." Said Jaune.
"Eh, what matters is that you're alive, just don't do that again, kay'?" Yang asked, as Jaune nodded. "Good, now let's see what's behind this door." As the group then moved to the other side of the room and entered the door there, and once they got into the other room they were met with a green robot bouncing in place on a pogo stick and looked very familiar to Jaune and Yang.
"Uh, hello there... say do we know you?" Asked Jaune.
"I don't think so." Replied the robot.
"So... what's your name? Because it's clear we're going to have to fight." Said Fox.
"And are you sure we haven't met before?" Asked Yang.
"My name is Quint... and like I told your friend, we haven't met before." Replied Quint
"Quint... Quint... where have I heard that name before?" Yang thought to herself, only for her to quickly shake off that thought as Quint got ready to strike with his pogo stick as it was getting ready to launch into the air.
Haven't We Met You Before? - Quint
Quint quickly jumped up into the air with his pogo stick, and landed on the floor creating shockwaves that travelled across the floor. Which were quickly dodged as Yatsuhashi retaliated by slamming his sword down on the robot. Which was followed up by Yang using Lightning Bolt while Jaune hit Quint with the Electric Shock, and both attacks his the robot at the same time. The group then got ready to retaliate, only for them to be surprised when Quint fell over and started to grab his head and breathe heavily.
"No... nononononono... this can't be... I can't be here again... it's not possible."
"Hey there buddy, you doin' alright?" Yang asked out of concern, but was ignored as realisation began to hit her as to which the robot felt familiar to her.
"I... but... how... no... not again... I was brought back... I shouldn't be here..." Quint was muttering, until he scurried back into a wall as Yang tried to give him a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"I know things might seem scary right now, and confusing, but it's ok. You're among friends, or at least people who would be friends, but regardless of that I can explain everything that's going on." Replied Yang, as she tried to reach her hand out to him.
"Friends... but I don't know who you are... we've never met, how can we be friends?" Asked Quint.
"We might have never met, but we're still friends with you, Rock. So please let us help you." Replied Yang.
"No... no you're just trying to get my guard down. Just like Wily did." Replied Quint with a look of distrust in his eyes.
"We're not! Just trust us!" Yang exclaimed, only for Quint to teleport away as Yang punched the ground in anger as she yelled out "Dammit!"
"What was that all about?" Asked Fox.
"And why did you call him Rock, that's not Rock, we came here with him." Said Jaune.
"I know that! But... but it's him... or at least a version of him... Look I know this must sound crazy, but there is a perfectly good explanation for all of this." Replied Yang, with a hint of desperation in her voice, hoping that her friends would believe her.
"Ok, then tell us, maybe it's not as complicated as you make it sound." Replied Yatsuhashi.
"Alright, I'll tell you. So Rock at times tells us about previous battles he's had against Doctor Wily, and some of the plans he had. One of his plans had him steal a time machine from some kind of advanced technology institute, after which he travelled about forty-ish years into future to a time where he had given up, and Rock returned to being a lab assistant..."
"Wait a second, time travels real?" Jaune asked, causing Yang to get an annoyed look on her face.
"Not the things to focus on Jaune!" Replied Yang.
"But that means that time travel is actually real and no longer science fiction." Said Jaune, making Yang pinch the bridge of her nose.
"Not the point, we'll deal with that later." Said Yang, trying her hardest not to explode.
"Besides, space travel is real." Added Yatsuhashi.
"Yeah, but that's a completely different ballpark." Replied Jaune, only for him to notice that Yang's eyes had turned red so he added "Sorry, got a bit excited there, go on."
"...As I was saying, Rock was back to being a lab assistant and Wily stole Rock from that time period, brought future Rock back with him and reprogrammed him into Quint. After which he had Rock fighting Quint, but Rock told us that after that adventure he helped out Quint and send him back to his own time." Yang finished.
"But then everything should be ok, shouldn't it?" Asked Fox.
"You'd think so, but Rock mentioned he faced Quint again several years later when dealing with the stardroids. But he couldn't send him back to his future that time, so either Wily stole him again or it was a copy. But his reaction just now makes it seem like it's Rock from nearly forty years in the future." Yang replied.
"Wait, you said his future, don't you mean the future?" Yatsuhashi asked.
"No, his future. Rock believes that Quint was from a future where he never went to Beacon or met any of us, because Quint mentioned to him that he was able to fight Wily without much trouble from outside forces which is why Wily quit in that timeline. And judging by his reaction, I'm inclined to believe him." Said Yang.
"Oh no, poor Rock or future Rock. Stuck in an unfamiliar time, meeting people he's never met before, working for that madman." Said Jaune.
"And he just teleported away, so we can't help him." Added Yatsuhashi.
"Maybe we should tell Rock, so he can help him should we run into him again." Said Fox.
"No need guys, I heard everything. Just grab the key for now, I'll find a way to sort this out if we run into him again." Said Rock over the earpieces.
"Thanks Rock, sorry I couldn't do more." Replied Yang sombrely.
"It's fine Yang, don't beat yourself up over it too much, you did what you could." Ruby said over the earpieces.
"Yeah, thanks." Said Yang with a soft smile on her face.
"I do wonder, why he suddenly stopped fighting us." Said Jaune.
"Maybe because the electric weapons we used fried the programming used to keep him under Wily's control and freed him." Replied Yang, after which she broke the glass case that was holding a yellow key with the letter L on it and grabbed it. After which the group went into the teleporter that was in the room and were teleported away.
Back with Team CBWW
"Are we there yet?"
"No."
"Are we there now?"
"No, as I've been saying for the past five minutes we're not there yet."
"But..."
"Sun, Cardin I swear if you ask me that one more I will turn this whole team around and return to the ship."
"Uh, that wasn't them."
"Oh, sorry Blake, what did you want to know?"
"Just, if you know where were going, because we have been following your lead. And we don't know where we are going, do you know?"
"Yes we're going forward, and I'm sure that if we keep going we'll find our way to where we are supposed to go." Replied Coco, as she continued to crawl through the vents until a few seconds later she found a grate, stopped and looked down where she saw three robots talking. So she signed to the rest to stay quiet so they could listen to what the robots had to say.
"I'm telling you comrade, humans were gone and can't be found." Said a green robot that seemed to be made up off some kind of liquid metal.
"Mrow, he's right, we checked everywhere and they're, mrow." Replied a purple robot with that had fur covering parts of it's body.
"Not good enough!" Yelled the robot they were talking to, who was slightly purple and had big golden horns on his head, as the robot slammed his foot on the ground out of anger. He then said to the two other robots "Either you two find them and bring them here, or so help me, I will dismantle you myself. Is. That. CLEAR!"
"Yes/Da." Replied the two robots, as their leader then stomped his foot down again and accidentally fired an explosive at the ceiling, which exploded upon impact and caused Team CBWW to come falling out of the ceiling.
"Mrow, look boss, we found them, mrow." Said the robot covered in fur.
"See, was that so hard." Replied their leader, as Team CBWW quickly got up to face the trio of robots.
"Well, would you look at that, I got us there in the end. So what did we learn?" Asked Coco.
"Following you leads to certain death." Replied Cardin.
"I won't even dignify that with a response." Coco shot back, as the leader of the three robots let out a cough to get their attention.
"Mercury, Pluto, take care of those guys." Said the leader.
"Mrow, you're not going help us Ballade? Mrow." Asked Pluto.
"They aren't worth my time, maybe if they beat you two fools, but otherwise they aren't worth my time." Replied Ballade, as he entered through the door at the end of the room, leaving Team CBWW with the two robots.
But before anyone could throw a punch, Pluto rushed over to Blake and put her in a bridal hold while Stardroid Mercury asked "Comrade, what are you doing? They are enemies."
But Pluto merely waved his ally off, and instead focused on Blake "Mrow, never thought I'd meet a cat girl as cute as you, mrow." Pluto said with a flirty tone in his voice, causing Blake to blush, while Cardin and Coco watched on with smirks on their faces.
"Bu...but, I'm not a robot." Blake replied, trying to prevent herself from blushing more, all the while Sun was starting to get jealous.
"I can live with that, nothing wrong with any of that mrow~" Pluto replied.
"Oh my god, oh my god! Just like in Ninja's of Love and it's many sequels, the fact we're on opposite sides makes this so much hotter." Blake thought to herself, as she was starting to get a nosebleed from thinking about her books.
"Mrow, what do you say doll face, want to get out of here? Mrow." Pluto asked, while the Stardroid Mercury merely gagged at the sight in front of him.
"Oooooooooh, I wouldn't mind that." Replied Blake, as if she was melting in his hands, only for Sun to step in.
"Sorry, but she's already spoken for." Said Sun, ruining the moment between the two and the entertaining that Coco and Cardin had been watching.
"Am I?" Asked Blake with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh wait, are you? We never really did specify things." Replied Sun, as the realisation hit him and then an idea hit him, as he quickly pulled Blake from Pluto's grasp and held her close to him and said while flashing a smile "Hey, you come here often? How about after were done here we go out on the town and get some ramen, my treat~"
Hearing this Cardin burst out laughing and said "Wow Sun, you suck at this. Did you get that from a romance novel?"
"Think you can do better?" Asked Coco.
"Oh no, I can't flirt to save my life." Replied Cardin, raising his hands up defensively.
Coco sighed and said "You all suck at this, here let me show you how a professional does it." As she quickly pulled Blake out of Sun's grip and held her under a light that was shining down on both of them, giving Blake a good look of Coco's eyes, while Coco said with a silky smooth tone in her voice "This moment is perfect, my love. How about we do something nice." As Blake was blushing, and the two moved their heads closer to one another, until they were mere inches apart and Coco dropped Blake on the ground and said "And that's how you do it."
The statement made both Sun and Pluto's jaw drop to the floor, while Cardin burst out laughing as he said "Oh, this is just getting better by the second, please keep going, it was just getting good."
"No... I liked it, why did it have to stop." Blake whined.
"And that's what happens when someone who only reads romance novels actually gets some action. Good job everyone." Said Coco sarcastically.
"Great, I'll just take her with me then, away from this creep." Said Sun.
"Mrow, she clearly wants to go with me not you, mrow." Replied Pluto.
"Alright buddy, you and me, we're settling this faunus to robot." Sun challenged as both got their weapons out, right as Blake got her bearings back.
"Boys." She calmly said, catching their attention. "Am I not capable of making my own choices?" She asked, to which the two of them quietly shook their head. "Now, Pluto was it, I'm flattered, really, but you're not my type. As for you..." She said directing her attention towards Sun "...You're usually not that much of a jerk or that possessive for that matter."
"Sorry." Replied Sun, hanging his head down in shame, while Pluto returned to stardroid Mercury's side as Pluto received pat on the shoulder from the robot, causing a bit of an awkward silence in the room.
"So..." Said Coco, breaking the tension a few seconds later "...we're not getting through without a fight, are we?"
"Da, you are correct." Replied Stardroid Mercury, as Pluto got his head back in the game as well and the two got ready to pounce on the group.
From Russia With Love - Mercury and Pluto
As Pluto, instead of going for the group, immediately launched himself onto the wall and began to fire shots from his tail at the group, as they quickly dodged out of the way, as Pluto then shot himself from the wall as he extended his claws and towards Coco who used her handbag to block his attack, after which she threw the robot off of her. Pluto then landed on another wall and launched himself towards Blake, who was ready to intercept him, putting the two into a clash of blades.
Which created an opening for Coco, for transformed her handbag into it's mini gun form and began to shoot at Pluto who turned into energy and began to slide across the floor in an attempt to evade shots that were being fired by both Blake and Coco. While Cardin and Sun were going after stardroid Mercury, who had transformed himself into a blob of liquid metal and began to split himself up into pieces, while Cardin and Sun were frantically trying to do their best to hit the robot with their weapons.
However, Cardin was then hit by a ball of small energy that one of the stardroid Mercury blobs that was on the ground shot his way, causing his mace to be taken away and stardroid Mercury to reform again, with Cardin's mace in hand. As he then charged towards the duo, and first slammed the mace on the ground creating an explosion that knocked Sun out of the way, after which he went after Cardin and tried to use his own mace to slam down on him.
Cardin was able to block his attack however by putting up a sand barrier, after which he saw that Pluto was coming his way and so he put up another sand barrier. Causing Pluto to come crashing into it with his claws first, making him stuck and giving Sun the chance to deliver several blows to Pluto with his staff before using his staff to throw Pluto into Stardroid Mercury. Who in turn dropped Cardin's mace, allowing Cardin to pick it back up, as he quickly ducked to the ground as Stardroid Mercury began to shoot out more of his energy balls.
This time Stardroid Mercury took Sun's staff, and went after both Blake and Cardin, as he turned the staff into it's nunchucks form and began to trade blows between Cardin and Blake who were doing their best to block the attacks with their own weapons. While in the meantime Pluto was going after Sun by repeatedly trying to take a stab at him, forcing Sun to repeatedly jump backwards and perform several backflips in order for him to stay ahead of the robot, until he was cornered and about to be stabbed by the robot, when Sun gave him a smirk, grabbed him and threw him away from him.
As Sun then got into a fistfight with Pluto, by first delivering some rapid punches to the gut, after which he dodged more of Pluto's swipes. Making Sun fall over backwards, only for Sun to land on his tail, and use that extra balance to grab Pluto with his legs and then slam the robot into the ground. From which both of them got back up quickly, as Pluto rushed towards one of the walls and then launched himself at Sun with his claws stretched out. Which Sun was getting ready to intercept, only for Pluto to get shot into a nearby wall by Coco's mini gun.
"I had that." Said Sun, as he quickly rushed over towards Blake and Cardin who were still in a struggle with Stardroid Mercury, where he found an opening to kick the robot in the back, after which he delivered an uppercut to the robot that send him flying into the air, which resulted in him dropping Sun's weapon. As he then fired several shots upwards, hitting the robot as it was falling down. And once the robot had reached the floor, Sun, Blake and Cardin all struck the robot at the same time, but when they saw what they had hit they only saw splats of liquid metal spread through the room.
"Sure, you had that, but you were also taking too long." Replied Coco, as she noticed Pluto getting up again and added "Oh, and behind you." As she fired several shots into the robot which knocked him down for a bit. As the group started to look around the room in the hopes of finding out where Stardroid Mercury would reappear, with no one noticing that behind them the robot was slowly beginning to reform into it's own solid body.
And right as Stardroid Mercury was about to fire his energy balls at the group to try and steal another weapon, Blake caught on, saw the robot standing there and yelled "Out of the way!" As the group quickly jumped out of the way from the shots, only for one of them to hit Pluto who had gotten back up again, which upon seeing what had hit him made him say "Mrow, I knew working with you was a bad idea, mrow." after which he exploded and left behind his memory chip.
"Bah, little baby planet makes for little baby Stardroid." He said, after which he fired another round of his energy spheres at the group, which this time managed to hit Coco as her mini gun was taken from her and put into the hands of Stardroid Mercury. Who upon obtaining it, got a sadistic glint in his eyes as he said "You are all baby men." as he began to fire the mini gun and aimed it all through the room, forcing the group to either duck or in the case of Sun and Blake jump out of the way repeatedly, with Blake using some of her shadow clones to take some of the hits.
But while those two were able to dodge the shots fired their way, Coco was about to nearly get hit by machine gun fire from her own weapon, so in a split second decision Cardin quickly pulled up a barrier of sand. Which allowed Coco to quickly hide behind, as gunshots were fired into it. Cardin then used his mace to create a ice wave that travelled across the floor and hit Stardroid Mercury, making him drop Coco's mini gun out of his hands. As Coco quickly picked it back up, and quickly aimed it at the robot in the hopes that he wouldn't have slipped away again.
Only to be surprised to see that the ice had reacted with the liquid metal, and had frozen the robot in place. So Coco simply switched to the flash bomb and shot one out, which hit the robot and made him explode as a result. Leaving behind his memory chip, which Coco picked up as she turned her mini gun back into her hand bag and met up with the rest of the group, where Sun held up the other memory chip as she asked "So, who wants some new weapons? Cause I don't think I can do much with this."
"I'll have the weapon that Pluto guy left behind." Said Cardin, as the others nodded while Cardin picked it up and got the message "Break Dash Obtained."
"If it's not too much trouble Sun, I'd like to have the other weapon." Blake said, to which Sun nodded. As she picked it up and got the message "Grab Buster Obtained." She then turned to Sun and said "By the way, about earlier..."
"I know, I know, I was acting like a massive jerk..." Sun was about to say, only for him to be interrupted by Blake giving him a kiss on the lips. "...earlier, woah."
"Does that clear things up for you?" Blake asked, as Sun merely nodded his head, while Blake mumbled "Hmm, slight taste of banana."
"Not bad Sun, not bad at all." Said Coco.
"Wait, so you felt the same?" Sun asked innocently.
"You always were there for me, gave me a shoulder to cry on and gave me and my team the support I needed. Just wasn't sure if the feeling was mutual." Replied Blake.
"Good to know." Said Sun.
It was then that the door to the next room opened and Ballade walked out "I see you managed to take those two out, very impressive. That being said, you still have to test your skills against me."
"Don't you mean you're here to stop us?" Asked Sun.
"And weren't you a lot angrier earlier... wait a minute, are you even working for Wily?" Asked Coco with a questioning look in her eyes.
"Congratulations, you found me out. Yes, I have been pretending to work for Wily since his reprogramming failed and I just want to see how strong you all are. Just to get an idea of how strong the humans Mega Man is working with are." Replied Ballade.
"That's a first, usually the robots want to take us out or prove they are stronger than us." Said Sun.
"Ah yes, I know what you mean. I was once like that, but Mega Man beat me in combat years ago and it changed my mind. And for giving me that eye opener I wish to help him fight Wily." Said Ballade.
"You know, he once mentioned that it saddened him greatly that you sacrificed yourself to save him when he reached a dead end." Said Blake, causing Ballade to smile.
"Then he'll be happy to know that I'm now able to fight alongside him. But first..." Replied Ballade, as he got into a fighting stance "...show me what you're made off."
Team CBWW's Final Obstacle - Ballade
Cardin immediately instigated combat with Ballade by testing out the break dash, and upon doing so he found himself launched forward at great speeds towards the robot, as he then slammed his mace down with a great amount of force, managing to hit Ballade who took the hit and immediately delivered several punches to Cardin using his mace to block the punches. After which Sun jumped in as well and began to use run and gun tactics by delivering several blows to the robot upon finding an opening, and then jumping out of the way whenever Ballade tried to shoot him with explosives.
Blake then joined the trio with her acid barrier infused blades, as she started to deliver slashes to the robot, while Coco used her mini gun from a distance to shoot at the robot. Only for Ballade to retaliate by launching a flurry of Ballade Crackers throughout the room, which upon exploding knocked the group away from him and freed Ballade to go after one target at a time, as he set his sights for Coco, wanting to test out the to girl to see if she could keep up with him despite the large weapon she was wielding.
So he rushed towards her, while throwing several of his Ballade Crackers her way, only to find that she had turned her mini gun into her hand bag and was starting to smack the explosives away from her. After which she fired a Spread Drill to take out the remaining explosives, while sending the rest of the drill part towards Ballade to slow him down. But it didn't deter him, as instead he rushed towards her. Only to be taken by surprise when Coco swiped her leg over the ground, and knocked Ballade onto his back while Coco said "See, I don't only rely on my weapon."
"Very impressive." Ballade replied as he quickly got back up again and began to deliver more punches towards Coco, who blocked several of them with her hand bag and then tried to punch him in the gut, only for her to remember that he's a robot and as such made of metal, so when she hit him she immediately winced in pain over her hand hitting metal. Luckily for her Sun swooped in, and managed to kick him backwards into a wave of icicles that Cardin had created and send his way, temporarily freezing him place.
"Do you yield?" Asked Sun, only for Ballade to immediately free himself from the icy trap through the use of his explosives, making Sun mutter "A simple no would have been fine." As Ballade then began to throw around another barrage of explosives, some of which managed to hit Cardin and Sun, knocking both of them down for a bit. As Blake jumped in as she tested out the Grab Buster and fired an orb towards an incoming Ballade Cracker, which made the orb appear in her hand as she then quickly threw the explosive back towards Ballade, catching the robot off guard as the explosion knocked him into a nearby wall.
This quick moment of levity allowed Coco and Blake to quickly help up Sun and Cardin, as all four got ready to fight the robot again, as he had managed to free himself from the wall and was aiming for the group again. As he shot several of his explosives towards the group, all of them hitting Blake as the rest jumped out of the way, only for Blake to appear in front of Ballade as she let one of her shadow clones take the blast from the explosives as she then delivered several slashes to him. After which she bounced him away as she hit him with several bouncy balls.
Where Ballade landed in the crosshairs of Sun and Coco, as the former hit him with a solar blaze while the latter hit him with the magma bazooka, causing him to get caught in a blaze of fire, doing an immense amount of damage to him. As ballade then rushed towards Cardin, who put up a barrier of sand in front of him and then pushing it over, burying Ballade underneath it. And a few seconds later Ballade punched his way out from underneath the sand, and got back up no longer on fire, but before he could attack someone Cardin delivered several blows to him with his mace, after which Cardin hit him away.
But before anyone could try and attack him again, Ballade threw out more of his explosives around the room, ensuring that everyone would get hit by them. Only for Sun to start balancing himself on his tail as he summoned a bunch of his clones, which quickly rushed throughout the room and began to pick up all the bombs to ensure the rest of the team wouldn't be hit by the blasts, as the bombs exploded taking the clones out with them, which tired out Sun for a bit as he dropped the ground.
Where Ballade tried to punch him in the face before he reached the ground, only for him to get intercepted by Blake who delivered a kick to his face and knocked him backwards away from the group. As Blake then rushed over to the robot and delivered several slashes to him with her acid barrier infused blades, followed up by Cardin using the break dash to deliver a massive blow to him and threw a drill bomb at him. Which then exploded, as Coco fired her mini gun into him, after which Sun, who had gotten back up, fired several homing missiles at him, with the resulting explosion knocking ballade down to the ground.
The group then waited for him to get back up again, only for them to be surprised when he said "I yield, you guys win, I got what I wanted and I have to say, Mega Man sure has found some strong people to work with."
"Glad to hear it." Replied Sun.
"So, who's getting your weapon?" Asked Cardin.
"None of you, I choose to give my weapon to Mega Man. But, I do have something else for you." Said Ballade, as he pulled out a blue key with the letter W on it.
"That's disappointing." Said Sun, getting an elbow to the side from Blake.
"Regardless, with the key found, we got what we came from. Let's get out of here." Said Coco.
"Couldn't agree more." Replied Ballade as he made a teleporter appear from out of the ground, pointed towards it, with the rest of the group simply nodding, as they quickly entered it and were teleported away.
Elsewhere
In a large open ended room five teleporting pods rose from the ground, and a few seconds a bright light shone from four of the teleporters as Team RLSN, Team PPNS, Team JYYF and Team CBWW stepped out of them. And upon seeing each other the group all reacted happily, as Pyrrha tackled her teammates into a large crushing hug, Coco pulled Velvet into an embrace and the rest reacted happy to just see each other.
It was then that the fifth teleporter shone a bright light, as Ruby, Rock and Oran stepped out. As Ruby rushed over towards Yang, Weiss and Blake and pulled the three into a massive crushing hug as she softly said "I was so worried about all of you."
Yang ruffled Ruby's head as she replied "Where here now right? That's all that matters." As Ruby merely nodded in response, as she kept hugging the group.
"Jaune, you're looking worse for wear." Said Pyrrha.
"Yeah, vomit-boy over here got struck by lightning and then thought it be smart to tank the explosion of a mega ton bomb." Said Yang.
"You what!" Pyrrha exclaimed.
"It wasn't even that bad, besides, I'm still here." Replied Jaune, as Pyrrha held in her breath.
"Once this is over, you and I are going to have a talk." Pyrrha said sternly, to which Jaune merely nodded in agreement.
"You know guys, I'm impressed with you all." Said Rock, causing the group to give him a confused look "No really I am, when I first fought the stardroids I struggled to fight one of them on my own and I needed to get my buster upgraded. But you guys, in groups of four were able to take on two of them at a time. So be proud of yourselves, I certainly am."
"Gee Rock..." Yang started who had gotten out of Ruby's grip, as she got a bit of an embarrassed look on her face "...I don't know what to say, we just did our best and fought our hardest to beat them."
"Still, it's something to be proud off. Good job guys." Replied Rock, as everyone got a look of pride on their faces. "And Roll, I want you to know that I'm the most proud of you. Even with all of your doubts you still went into uncertain doom. I'm proud of you sis."
"Oh Rock! Thank you, you're the best brother anyone could ask for!" Roll yelled out, as she tackled him into a hug.
"Don't mention it." Replied Rock, as he then faced Ballade and said "Good to see you in one piece again Ballade, have an E Tank." As he threw one of his spare E Tanks towards Ballade who caught it, took it in and immediately his damages began to disappear.
"Thanks a bunch Mega Man, I appreciate it, good to see that your empathy is still there." Replied Ballade, to which Rock simply nodded.
"By the way, where are we? This isn't anywhere near the door." Said Nora.
"My sensors indicate that the teleporters took us to the other side of the Wily Star." Added Penny.
"You would be correct in that." Replied Terra as he teleported into the room.
"Oh hey, you again." Said Cardin.
"What do you want Terra?" Asked Rock.
"To fight, to fight all of you, to avenge my fallen brethren. I won't let any of you get away with what you did, you hear me!" Terra exclaimed in anger.
"Terra, it's twenty to one, you're outnumbered. There is no way you'll win against us, so stand down, you don't want to do this." Replied Rock.
"No, we're doing this, for my fellow stardroids who you all so cruelly slaughtered! I will avenge them!" Terra yelled out.
"Very well then, just remember I wanted to take the easy way." Replied Rock, as he and the rest of the group got ready to fight him.
Who Names A Planet After Dirt? - Terra
Terra stood still as he began to charge his weapon, so seeing an opening the group immediately rushed in to strike, with Weiss, Blake, Jaune, Fox, Yatsuhashi, Penny and Pyrrha all slashed him with their blades, knocking him away, as he was thrown into the path of Cardin who used his mace to slam down on him, where Yang then rushed in and delivered a flurry of punches to him and threw him into the air where he was intercepted by Nora's hammer who smacked him towards Sun and Roll who both repeatedly hit him with their weapons.
This knocked him to the ground where Ruby used her speed to quickly deliver several slashes to Terra, as he was then shot repeatedly with blasts from Coco's, Ren's and Neptune's weapons, and Terra was then caught in an explosion that was caused by Ballade throwing several of his explosives at him, which was followed up by him getting hit by several exploding arrows from Oran. After which he was forced to relive all the previous attacks again, as Velvet used her camera repeat the previously done attacks. And after that was done, Terra was hit by one final charged shot from Rock, knocking him away.
But to their surprise, he quickly got back up and yelled at them "You think that will keep me down! Think again, I haven't even started. Now behold, the ultimate Spark Chaser!" Terra then fired a large ball of energy from his buster that upon being fired hovered in the air for a bit, until spreading out into a massive explosions that fired several lasers into everyone present in the room, except for Oran who quickly went into his shell and ducked out of the way as a result, leading to everyone getting paralysed in place.
Terra then walked up to Rock and pulled him up by the throat as he said "You thought you could beat me, but look at you now. You thought this would be easy, but you were wrong. All of you were wrong." Terra spat, not noticing that Oran was peaking out of his shell and was slowly aiming his bow at the robot who was continuing to monologue. "Now... now I will pay you all back tenfold for what you did to my brethren, say goodnight Mega Man..." Terra spat with venom dripping down each word he said, only for him to get hit by an arrow that pierced through his back.
Terra dropped Rock, turned around and said "What did you think that was going to do..." Only for the arrow to explode inside of him, as he was blown in half, where he said "I just wanted to... avenge them..." As he then blew up completely, leaving his memory chip behind, as the rest of the group was able to move again.
"Good job buddy." Said Rock, as he was helped back up by Oran.
"Can I keep his weapon?" Oran asked.
"You did take him out, so sure." Replied Rock, as Oran took the memory chip and got the message "Spark Chaser Obtained"
"Speaking off weapons, Rock, I would like for you to have mine." Said Ballade, as he put his hand on Rock's shoulder allowing him to copy the weapon from him, as Rock got the message "Ballade Cracker Obtained."
"Oh nice, thanks for that Ballade." Said Rock, as another teleporter then appeared in the room. So with no other way to go, the group nodded and entered it, being teleported away. A few seconds later the group reappeared in front of the door that they had been to earlier, and to their surprise Eddie was waiting for them. "Eddie, what are you doing here?" Rock wondered, only for him to get his answer when Eddie dropped several energy tanks and some energy bars on the ground before teleporting away.
"Well, that answers that. Eat up everyone." Said Yang, as the group began to take the food and energy tanks that were left behind there, as everyone felt that their energy was beginning to return to them. And while that was happening, Rock quickly put the keys that had been found into the proper key holes.
"Well, look at that, he always has to label things with his own name. Talk about arrogant." Rock thought to himself while rolling his eyes, as the keys began to turn and slowly the door opened, revealing a new hallway that would lead them into uncertainty.
"We did it guys." Penny cheered, with the rest of the group cheering as well.
"Now, we don't know what else there is beyond this door. So I want everyone to stick together, no wandering off and whatever issues someone might have with the other, save it for later." Said Rock.
"Don't worry, that's been taken care off." Said Coco.
"Great, we've all been doing very well so far, let's keep that momentum going." Said Rock, as the group nodded and all of them quickly went through the door towards uncertainty. Not knowing what dangers would be ahead of them.
However, unbeknownst to anyone travelling through the Wily Star, a red glowing eye began to appear on the screens that were in scattered throughout the space stations and in the control rooms. After some electricity started to crackle the eye had managed to successfully hack into the Wily Star and take full control of it, as it started laughing darkly, for Ra Moon had managed to completely take over Wily's technology.
Meanwhile far away from here
Deep within the darkest reaches of space very far away from the Wily Star Duo had stopped his travels towards Remnant when he got a view of the solar system that Remnant was a part off. But when he got a good look at it and stared off into the distance, he said "Well, that's weird, I don't recall the rings of Saturn being broken, or Uranus having a hole in it, or Pluto being gone for that matter.
It was then that he got a message on his wrist watch of a signal that was being given off, as his eyes widened in shock as he said "Found you Ra Moon, you can't hide from me, not even on something called the Wily Star... wait the Wily Star? Oh no, then that probably means that Mega Man is involved as well, I need to get there as fast as possible!"
And as Duo amped up the power of his flight ability to get to the other side of the solar system as fast as possible, a feeling of worry started to naw at the back of his head. "Don't worry Mega Man, I'll get there in time, I can promise you that much."

A/N: And there you have it, sorry this took so long to come out, but I wanted to do too much for this and that's why the end result of this is four chapters that end up with a word count of about 50000+ words, which I didn't want to put you all through, so I decided to split it up into four part. Regardless, apologies for it taking so long, but it's here now and I just want to thank everyone for their patience for this to come out, it's greatly appreciated. I want to thank all for giving this story 60000+ views, for continuing to enjoy this story and I'm happy to say it has passed the 500000 mark.
Anyways, a couple of fun facts about some of the robot masters. According to the Archie Comic's Bubble Man's bubble lead is made of sulpuric acid. And the flavour text for the stardroid Mercury mentions him being a communist, while the flavour text for Jupiter mentions that he used to wield mega ton bomb before changing it to the weapon he has now.
Now, Volume 9 came out and I gotta say, the Ever After really manages to encompass the madness that Wonderland held in the original Alice in Wonderland story, and it's been an enjoyable ride so far. Especially the ending to the episode that came out today.
