Alright! Chapter Eleven!

Here, we'll be looking at the results from the exam, along with a little more from the Baku squad.

Let's get into it!

Izuka woke up to a few birds chirping.

With a yawn, she climbed out of bed and picked out an outfit, getting ready for the day's events.

It had been a week since the entrance exams. Izuka had not heard anything back from the school.

Mustard, the young man who she had fought with, had messaged her about his results, and his placement in class 1-B.

'Maybe this means I didn't get in…'

The young woman walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower. As steam began to fill the room, Izuka stripped off her night clothes and stepped into the cascade of heated water.

Izuka centered her thoughts, allowing her worries to wash away as the droplets of water rolled down her body.

The girl waved the heated air from her face and sighed, before popping her arm out from the shower curtain to grab a razor from the countertop.

The steel blade whispered over the girls skin, cool to the touch. After finishing up with the razor, He Zika moved to her hair.

The young woman worked her fingers through each long strand, allowing water to coat her green locks. Izuka squeezed a dollop of shampoo into her hand, before repeating the process, lathering her hair as thoroughly as possible.

As she rinsed out her hair, the girl combed it out, being careful not to tug at any crimps or knots that may have been present.

Fifteen minutes after she began, Izuka stepped out of the shower and began drying off.

She took an extra half hour to dry and braid her hair, before pulling on her clothes for the day.

Izuka had decided to dress somewhat casually, building her outfit around one of Masaru's designs. Her base outfit was a dark blue jumper. She wore a pair of combat boots that matched the black name brand jacket Mitsuki had designed specifically for her.

-Mustard: Hey, you were talking about meeting up today, right?

Izuka looked at the message on her phone, before writing back.

-Izuka: Yeah! I don't have much else to do as I wait for some electrical parts to get here. Wanna hit one of the bakeries downtown?

The young woman quickly brushed her teeth and grabbed her dirty clothes. Placing her towel and pajamas in the laundry hamper before walking into her room, Izuka grabbed a black bag and tossed in her wallet and keys.

-Mustard: Sounds great! Meet you at Takobah Beachfront in an hour?

Izuka smiled and typed back quickly.

-Izuka: Already on my way.

The young woman stepped into the garage and opened the garage door, before hopping in her pickup and peeling out onto the road.

A few minutes after she arrived, Mustard walked up onto the beachfront.

"Dang… nice car."

"Thanks, restored it myself." Izuka smiled.

"That, combined with your outfit, is throwing mega lesbian vibes at me."

Izuka shrugged. "Girls are hot."

"Damn… and I thought this was a date!" Mustard laughed.

Izuka snickered and motioned for him to hop in the pickup. "It is! I never said I didn't like boys too. Come on, let's go hit that bakery."

Izuka drove them to downtown Musutafu, with Mustard pointing out a few notable restaurants and shops along the way.

"Did you grow up downtown?" Izuka smiled.

Mustard shook his head. "Born and raised in Tokyo city."

"Ah! You're a big city boy then!" Izuka laughed.

"Moved here when I was eight. My dad had been caught in a big villain raid, and me and my mom moved here so we could visit him in the hospital."

Izuka nodded. "Ground Zero incident?"

Mustard nodded. "Pretty obvious, huh?"

Izuka nodded. "My mom was injured pretty badly in that tragedy. Died a few years after due to complications caused by the injuries. I myself got this scar from it."

Izuka pointed to her shoulder, which was bare because of her jacket being draped over her seat. Mustard could see several jagged raised lines on her skin, moving outward from a central point. The scar moved up and poked out a bit by her neck. Mustard assumed it probably covered a bit of her upper body as well

"What happened?"

"Honestly, I don't remember." Izuka chuckled. They said we were found in a pool of electrified water, so that could be it. But the fact remains that it's there, and I can't change it."

Mustard nodded. "Is that why you want to be a hero?"

Izuka blinked. "I want to save whoever I can, civilian, or villain. How about you Mustard? What's your reason?"

The young man shrugged. "Everyone calls my quirk villainous. Fact of the matter is, I can do more with it than kill. I want to prove them wrong and end quirk discrimination."

Izuka nodded. "Would you use it to kill if you had to? If it would help you make that world?"

"What?"

"Don't worry about it. We're here!"

Izuka hopped out of the truck and donned her jacket, pulling Mustard into the shop alongside her.

"They have almost everything…" the young woman drooled."

Mustard chuckled and shook his head. "Get a cannoli. You will not be disappointed."

Izuka nodded. "Oh I know I won't be."

Mustard ordered a few pastries along with a coffee for himself.

Izuka's eyes sparkled as she beheld the multitude of pastries. Mustard motioned for her to take one as he himself began to eat a small tart.

The two chatted back and forth for a while, mainly on the topic of their childhoods. Izuka chuckled as mustard would tell stories of him getting into trouble. Izuka told the young man a few stories about her own adventures.

"Shit!" Izuka swore as they walked out of the bakery. "I have to pick Katsuki and his friends up in ten minutes. Hey Mustard, you don't mind riding along, do you?"

"Of course not." The young man chuckled, hopping into his seat. "Although… I might miss the train back to my apartment."

Izuka nodded. "You can stay over with me. I'm a grown woman, I can have a guy over." Izuka answered before Mustard had a chance to ask.

"Besides, I don't do the horizontal waltz on a first date." Izuka added, causing Mustard to blush.

"So… first date? Implying that-"

Izuka leaned over and gave the young man a peck on the cheek. "Yes there will be more. Who cares if I don't get into UA? I'm still gonna see you."

"Wait, you didn't get in?"

"Haven't got my results yet. Now, I gotta make a fifteen minute drive in eight minutes. Hold onto your gas mask!"

Katsuki and his friends sat outside of the Aldera Central School building.

"Does she normally run this late?" Sero blinked.

"Nah… Kaka always tends to get here around three fifteen… that's why it's weird that she isn't here yet."

"Maybe she overslept?" Kirishima blinked.

A few moments later, an old pickup veered onto the street and parked it's on the curb. Izuka poked her head out and gave a shout.

"Oi! I've got a passenger, so one of you is gonna have to sit in another's lap!"

After a bit of squeezing, Sero ended up sitting on Kirishima, using his tape to wrap himself and the others into their seats.

"So, who's your friend?" Mina blinked.

Mustard turned and gave a warm smile. "You can call me Mustard. I'm Izuka's-"

Mina's eyes glittered. "Izuka, as in first name basis Izuka? Say no more!"

"Hey cricket, you breathe a word of this to Mitsuki and Masaru before I say anything, you're sleeping outside. That goes for the rest of you too!"

"Please." Katsuki grunted. "It's my family's house."

Izuka stomped on the breaks and gave the four kids a poisoned smile. "Well if you want to find out, be my guest!"

Katsuki clamped his mouth shut and bobbed his head quickly.

Mustard gave a chuckle and shook his head. "Sorry for making us late."

"It wasn't you, I wasn't keeping an eye on the time!" Izuka stated, turning into the driveway. "Come on. I'll probably need to get started on cooking and you can help me."

Izuka parked the truck and leapt out with the keys. With a small scream, Mustard was dragged into the kitchen.

"Should we check to see if he's okay?" Mina sweatdropped.

"Eh. He'll be fine."

Izuka tossed Mustard an apron as the kids walked into the living room. "You'll want this."

"Izuka… I don't know how to cook…"

Izuka blinked, before grinning. "Then consider this part two of our date! Here. For dinner, we'll need to cut up some onions."

Izuka walked the young man over to the cutting board and placed a knife in his hand.

"First, we take off the skin." Izuka guided Mustard's hands with her own, showing him the proper technique to use.

"Then you chop the onion in half, before going down each half to get slices!"

Mustard blushed as Izuka helped him cut the first half of the onion.

"Now you try it. Make sure to curl the fingers that are keeping the onion in place, then you won't chop them off."

Mustard slowly chopped the second half of the onion. With a smile, he turned to Izuka.

"What next?"

Izuka giggled at the young man's expression. She guided him through the process of making hamburgers.

"It's not a Japanese dish, but that doesn't mean it isn't delicious!"

The two put the meal on the table just as Mitsuki and Masaru walked through the door.

"Dinner on the table already? Well what do you- oh~ hello Izuka, who is this?"

Izuka blushed a bit as she motioned to Mustard. "This is-"

"Mustard. Call me Mustard. We met at the entrance exams."

Mitsuki nodded, before her eyes bugged out. "Oh right! Izuka. This came in the mail for you!"

Mitsuki handed Izuka a white envelope with UA's seal emblazoned upon it.

"My results…" Izuka blinked.

"I opened the mailbox when we came in and it was sitting right on top! Do you want to open it now?"

Izuka looked at the letter. "If you guys aren't going to mind me being late to dinner."

Mitsuki shook her head. "Go on, open it."

"I'll do it in my room. Mustard, you wanna look with me?"

"Sure thing. We'll be back soon."

The two ran up to Izuka's room while Mitsuki turned to the group of kids at the dinner table. "Who's ready for burgers?"

)=(

"Open it."

Izuka continued to stare blankly at the envelope in her hands. Mustard sighed.

"Izuka, the worst case scenario is that they don't accept you. Come on, get it over with."

Izuka nodded with a gulp and gently peeled the envelope open. A small metal disc fell from the envelope and whirred to life.

"Hello Izuka Midoriya. My name is Shota Aizawa, also known as the pro hero Eraserhead."

Izuka's eyes sparkled as the hologram spoke. Mustard blinked as the man pulled out a clip board.

"Out of the one thousand six hundred thirty two examinees in your site, you scored below seventeen others. While your results weren't the best, they did stand out, considering your status."

Izuka blinked. 'He means my lack of a quirk'

"Unfortunately, I cannot accept you into the hero course."

'I knew it…' Izuka slumped.

"But not for the reasons that you might think. Your display on both written and practical tests was extraordinary. In the hero course, we teach quirks. We teach how to control powers that are unique to each person. Without one, you would be glossed over…"

"And that's why we've built a specific schedule that will cater to your skill set!"

Izuka blinked as a small rat like creature appeared.

"As UA universities main hero classes deal with every day subjects. These include trigonometry, physics, etcetera. For the areas where we would fall short in your instruction, we have decided to replace those blocks with times to access the engineering studio."

"Woah! Special treatment!" Mustard grinned.

"We are incredibly honored to find a student like you, and extend our hand in greeting Miss Midoriya. Welcome to your hero academia!"

The recording cut off, leaving the hologram to show Izuka's schedule.

"I… I made it…"

Mustard mussed her hair. "I told you you'd make it!"

Izuka leapt up and shook Mustard in excitement. "I MADE IT!"

Izuka flew down the stairs and tackled Mitsuki with tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong hon-"

"I'M GOING TO UA!"
