Ryo left Robert and Kim for Luan to protect while he and Kensou went to find a vehicle. They could not travel to South Town with 2 poisoned people and Ryo could not allow Kensou out of his sight, especially after an ambush of the enemies and 2 of their companions were down. They came back with rented motor tricycles after an hour to pick up the kick specialists. Ryo's plan was to bring them back to his dojo, where he was the most confident in. Luan did not disagree with his decision, as South Town was a fairly foreign place for her. However, she did not come along with the martial artists of righteous sects, her reason being that she needed to make a few preparation for Ryo's task of transfering Yang qi to Robert and Kim.
Ryo and Kensou had arrived to the Sakazaki's Kyokugen-ryu Karate dojo. His father, the terrifying Mr. Karate Takuma Sakazaki, his sister Yuri Sakazaki and most favourite disciple Marco Rodriguez had already went to Mexico to promote their style. However, "The Invincible Dragon" had spent his entire life living and defending this place against all types of thugs, martial artists and unorthodox combatants. There were no corner within this establishment that Ryo was unfamiliar of. If Ron and his followers tried to assault this place, they would face Ryo at his most comfortable location.
The Karateka carried his companions to an empty room and placed them on a bed. The color of Robert and Kim's faces had turned into a grey color as if they were covered in ash. The lack of Yang ki to balance their internal energy was slowly draining the remaining of their life force. According to Luan, if this continued, Kim would die in a day, Robert who had conditioned his Ki in Kyokugen-ryu Karate method would last longer, but death would still be the inevitable outcome.
While Ryo and Kensou were looking at their companions in desperation, Luan had finally arrived. No word could describe how excited they were seeing the assassin, as she was the only one knowing how to cure Robert and Kim. Ryo wanted to start their treatment immediately, however Luan showed him a bag of medicine materials that she bought in a shop of Chinese traditional medicine and another bag of food.
"We have to prepare the medicine first.", Luan said.
"I thought you said that this poison could only be cured by Ki?", Ryo asked.
"Yes, I did say that.", Luan replied. "This medicine is not for them. It is for you. Even if you are "The Invincible Dragon", draining your own Yang qi to maintain the balance of internal energy of 2 people in 2 weeks is a pressuring task. This medicine is to enhance your metabolism and vitality in order to stimulate your ability to cultivate Yang qi and re-fill the energy you lose."
Luan then asked Ryo to lead her and Kensou to the kitchen, where she showed them how to make the medicine from these materials. She then said to Kensou:
"You watch this pot of medicine for 3 hours. The medicine is complete when the color of the liquid inside turns into red. One pot like this can be used for a day. I have bought enough materials, you are going to do this everyday for 2 weeks while I and this man cure the other two."
"I'm not going to let the kid alone away from my sight.", Ryo said.
"You have no choice.", Luan said. "You will need to re-fill your life force as fast as you can after each section. You are not going to be able to protect the kid or save your friends without the medicine. I also believe Ron would not infiltrate this place so soon. He is a careful man and will wait for the moment we are at our weakest states."
The female assassin did not say anything further, instead she started going out of the kitchen and forward the room of Robert and Kim. Ryo had no choice but did as she said, he reluctantly left Kensou in the kitchen and followed her.
As they entered the room, Luan ordered Ryo to pull Kim up and removed his shirt. She then asked Ryo to show her how he routed his internal energy to the palms and released it. Ryo followed her orders. The Karateka channeled his Ki into his palms the same way he did when performing "Kou-ou Ken" and "Haoh Shoukou Ken", creating 2 balls of condensed internal energy in his palms.
"Slowly lower the intensity please.", Luan said.
Ryo felt a bit confused. His usage of Ki had been only for fighting, for that purpose he had always used an intense amount of internal energy for these techniques. He was not used to using Ki with a moderate pace for medical purposes. "The Invincible Dragon" struggled a bit, however as an experienced Kyokugen-ryu Karateka, he eventually was able lower the amount of Ki pouring to his palms. The energy within his palms was not as intensed as it was a moment prior, the balls of energy slowly lost their shape and finally reduced to blurry waves of mists emitting from the Karateka's palms.
"This is the Qigong you will use to transfer your Yang qi into their body.", Luan said. "You will place both hands at their temples, I will continuously strike their Tandens with my "Yi Yang Finger" to open the gates in their system, allowing your Qi to enter. This Taekwondo fighter's condition is more severe than the Italian, we will start with him first."
As she finished her speech, Luan pointed Ryo to Kim's back, where he sat down and placed his palms on Kim's temples. Seeing the Karateka had prepared himself for the process of transferring internal energy, Luan started channeling her internal energy into the tip of her point fingers. The Deva of South Emperor sect let out a shout, the point finger of her right hand immediately launched toward Kim's High Tanden below his nose. Ryo knew the treatment had started, he immediately channeled his Ki into his palms the same way Luan told him to. Despite the lower output compared to how he usually did for "Kou-ou Ken" and "Haoh Shoukou Ken", Ryo could feel the suction on his internal energy through his palms. This was no longer just him emitting his Ki, it was him pouring out his energy and Kim sucking that energy away from him.
Luan felt that the area on Kim's face that was touching her finger was heating up. That was the sign of Yang qi was being filled into his Tanden. Her "Yi Yang Finger" immediately struck Kim's Middle Tanden, allowing the energy Kim received from Ryo to travel down his upper body. Another "Yi Yang Finger" to the Low Tanden, allowing Ki to flow to Kim's lower body. Then Luan truck Kim's High Tanden again, repeating the process, while Ryo constantly poured his Ki into the poisoned Taekwondo fighter.
They continued the procedure without stop. After an hour, 2 piles of steam started to rise from Ryo and Kim's heads. Those were the signs of strong flows of energy between them. After an hour, the pale color on Kim's skin started to fade away, his face looked more relax compared to 2 hours prior. The balance in his internal energy was temporary restored.
Luan told Ryo to stop and switch to Robert. Ryo placed Kim on the bed for him to rest. while Robert was treated the same way as Kim was a moment prior.
2 more hours had passed. Ryo had poured enough Yang ki into Robert and Kim's bodies to maintain the balance of their internal energy. He felt extreme exhaustion, constantly channeling his own Ki and releasing them for 4 hours was an exhausting task. His vision was blurry, his limbs were shaking and his breath was heavy. "The Invincible Dragon" tried to control his breathing in order to restore his energy, however the exhaustion caused a hindrance to his concentration of the mind and body.
Luan had expected this condition of Ryo. The medicine she asked Kensou to look over should have been finished an hour ago. She quickly moved to the kitchen to pick it up.
After a moment, the Deva of South Emperor returned with a cup of smelly red liquid. Luan used her skills in "Yi Yang Finger" again, while holding the cup on her left hand she flicked her finger on Ryo's High Tanden to stimulate his senses and force him to open his mouth. She then helped him drink the medicine, meanwhile the "Yi Yang Finger" on her right hand continued pointing to 8 different pressure points across Ryo's body, stimulating the flows of blood and Qi within him. Thanks to those action, Ryo's mind was clear again, he felt a rise in energy within his body and regained his ability to focus on cultivating Ki and recovering from his exhaustion.
"We are done for today.", Luan said. "Tomorrow we will do exactly what we did today. In the meantime, you need to re-fill the Qi you transfered to them."
Ryo was controlling his breathing in order to cultivate Ki within his system. However, as a martial artist, his curiosity and admiration toward Luan's "Yi Yang Finger" took over his sense of reason and the feeling of exhaustion. "The Invincible Dragon" said:
"So "Yi Yang Finger" can be used to save lives. Such a formidable martial art."
"The essence of "Yi Yang Finger" is to manipulate one's flows of internal energy through their pressure points.", Luan said. "If I can close one point down, I can open one up. "Yi Yang Finger" can take lives and save lives."
"Martial arts can be used for violence, but it can also be used to protect your loved ones.", Ryo remarked. "This skill is the representative of that philosophy. My dojo would welcome those with unique skills like yours. If only you chose an honest life instead of being an assassin."
"Such an honorable person.", Luan remarked. "I guess you people of the righteous sects always look down on people like us."
Ryo shook his head. He said: "My father used to be an assassin for the biggest crimelord of this town. I never did anything immoral, however my reckless use of martial arts had separated a father and his child. I have never really cared about who is good or evil, what I have always been seeking are formidable martial artists to test and improve my skills. I have no rights to look down on you assassins. What I mean is that you don't actually appreciate your martial arts, despite the versatility of "Yi Yang Finger" all you cared about is killing. It seems that the only thing you care about martial art is its fatality."
"And what am I doing right now?", Luan replied. "Am I killing you or helping you saving your friend?"
"Are you helping us because you genuinely feel sorry for us, or are you saving us to help you defeat your enemy?", Ryo said. "I am not a bright person, but I can see the only reason you know the treatment for this poison is because it is one of Ron's weapons. If Ron did not have this poison, would you know how to use "Yi Yang Finger" to treat the victims. If it were someone else who got poisoned, would you use "Yi Yang Finger" to help them?"
"What is your point?", Luan asked, she seemed annoyed by Ryo's statements.
"I think it's sad to use martial arts with a hateful mind.", Ryo said. "A martial artist should enjoy their martial art journey instead of making it a mean for something else."
"How do you know I don't enjoy my martial art journey?", Luan asked.
"When you see your skills are improved, are you happy that you have become a better martial artist, or that you have come closer to defeating Ron?", Ryo replied.
"Your obsession with martial arts is weird.", Luan said while standing up. "Instead of talking about others' martial arts, you should concentrate on recovering your Qi."
"Where are you going?", Ryo asked.
"To the kitchen.", Luan said. "I will prepare the food. For this task, you are going to need specific kinds of food to help recovering your Yang energy."
After a day to recover, Ryo began the same treatment he did for Robert and Kim with the help of Luan's "Yi Yang Finger". And another 4 hours passed. Despite his preparation, the exhaustion he felt the day before had returned once again. Luan repeated what she did, using her "Yi Yang Finger" to stimulate Ryo's ability to cultivate Ki while pouring the medicine into his mouth. Then Luan gave him dishes that she prepared herself to help his recovery.
They repeated the same schedule everyday. Ryo transfered his Ki into Robert and Kim, then tried to restore his energy by cultivating Ki. However, there's a limit to how much Ki an ordinary human could cultivate in a short amount of time. Ryo had been dutifully pouring his energy into his companions in order to maintain their life force, but his health was on the decline due to the constant shortage of Ki. In the 9th day, Ryo started to cough out blood after his Ki transfering session.
This made both Luan and Kensou worried. At this rate, "The Invincible Dragon" would fall, and they would have to fight the rogue Hizokus without the Karatekas and Taekwondo fighter.
"You should give up.", Luan said. "These men are as good as dead. If you continue this pointless treatment, you will fail to protect this kid too."
Ryo slowly shook his head. The Karateka said: "What is the point of my training in martial arts if I have to abandon my friend? If Ron comes, I will show him and his followers why they call me "The Invincible Dragon". The essence of Kyokugen-ryu Karate is to break one's limits. Even if I am about to die, I will give them the hardest fight in their entire life!"
As he finished the sentence, the Karateka suddenly felt satisfied and motivated by that statement he made. He was about to let out a laugh, but he was too exhausted to do so.
"You are a mad man.", Luan said.
"You are not stopping me though.", Ryo made a jokingly remark.
"I don't have a choice.", Luan said. "I cannot fight all of them at once. The only thing I can do is to satisfy your madness and hope that you would be a bit helpful when Ron comes."
2 weeks had passed since the time Robert and Kim were poisoned by Ron. If they could survive after the end of this week, the poison would be neutralized by itself. That meant after this session, Robert and Kim would survive the poison, and Ron would appear at any moment when the martial artists were at their weakest state. That explained why Luan seemed unually fidget during their treatment for the kick specialists, as Ryo noticed. He normally would raise his concern over his companion's worries, however he was too exhausted and had to concentrate on routing his Ki, the Karateka did not speak a word to her.
The healing session was over after 4 hours, as usual. Robert and Kim were no longer in critical states. However, Ryo's condition was worse. A few days earlier, despite the exhaustion Ryo was still collected enough to start trying to cultivate his Ki immediately. His mind was fuzzy like a person being high on drugs. While pouring the usual medicine into him, Luan had to pay extra effort to help the Karate reclaim his senses, enough to force him to start breathing correctly.
"Will he be alright?", Kensou raised his concern while helping Robert and Kim rest on their beds.
Luan did not answer, she helped Ryo to stand up and carried him away instead.
"I will help him moving to his room and rest.", Luan said as she moved Ryo's arm over her shoulder and picked up his waist.
Kensou felt uneasy, however he could not think of something better to do, so he instinctively followed Ryo and Luan. While walking along the hallway, Luan suddenly turned back to Kensou. Before the Psycho Soldier could even suspect any hostilation, he was struck three times by Luan's "Yi Yang Finger", one to his High Tanden, one in the Low Tanden and another pressure point right above his heart. Kensou immediately lost all his senses and strength and collapsed where he stood.
Luan turned around, attacked Kensou three times with her mastery skill in "Yi Yang Finger", these action were so fast, smooth and silent that even after everything had happened, Ryo did not realize her betrayal. The Karateka was too exhausted and too focused on his breathing to mind anything happening around him.
The assassin continued to lead him to his room, where she helped him drink another cup of medicine and a dish that she had Kensou prepared earlier. Ryo's condition was certainly not severe as that of Robert and Kim, however he was at a critical state of imbalance in internal energy. For that reason, the Karateka was forced to consume an extra amount of medicine and food prepared by Kensou under Luan's guidance in order to boost his recovery of Yang energy. At this state, Luan no longer concerned about the risk of abusing those medicine and food, she gave Ryo 3 times the amount he usually consumed in a day.
Ryo's face begun to relax, his breathing was getting calmer and his face became brighter, a sign that blood had start to flow naturally inside his body as well as other functions of his body. Luan felt at ease as the Karateka's condition was no longer at the previous critical state. With the amount of medicine and nutrient food he had consumed, his body would naturally recover the energy that he lost even without the needs of meditation or other forms of Qi cultivation if he had enough rest. But if the Karateka was collected enough to cultivate Qi, it would speed up his recovering process.
The Deva of South Emperor sect slowly stood up and turned around, leaving the man to rest and hopefully, recover enough to start cultivate Qi again. While she was walking out of the room, Luan was suddenly hugged from behind. The assassin did not expect this incident, by the time she realized the assault, her body and arms were trapped between Ryo's muscular arms. And before she could react with a counter, Ryo's fighting instinct kicked in, the Karateka ultilized his strength in the clinch to force the woman down. Despite being an experience assassin, Luan did not expect that her treatment would help Ryo to recover this quickly or that he would attack her out of nowhere. He had realized what she did to Kensou and was trying to submit her.
Luan used the entirety of her strength to loosen Ryo's grip and turn around. She did not need to struggle much. After taking her down and sitting on top of her, Ryo did not try to do what he should to subdue an enemy, neither did he clear the space between them to neutralize her defensive tools nor did he start pounding her from the top position. Luan carefully inspected the person assaulting her. His face was a lot healthier than a moment earlier, however his eyes were soulless. Ryo 's body had regained a significant amount of its physical abilities, however his mind did not. At this moment, "The Invincible Dragon" was merely a mindless man.
No, not really a mindless man. The medicine and food given to him was meant to boost up his recovery of Yang qi, however over-consumption had its downside. Losing too much Yang energy like he did those few days created an imbalance in his system. But a sudden rise in Yang energy thanks to those medicine and food at his weakened state was unnatural. Although the quick rise in Yang qi helped him recover physically, it also aroused his lustful desire while his mind was not fully recover. If you pour a large amount of water into a dried pond, the water would wreak the environment at the first moment. Similarly, this tremendeous rise of Yang qi turned Ryo into a beast unable to control his lust.
Luan was pinned down by a man who was physically stronger than her. However, as his mind was lost and his strength not fully recovered, Luan could easily escape and even punish him thanks to her skills and experience in martial arts. She was only taken down because it was a surprise attack and Ryo had been fighting long enough to make his body memorize how to take a person down on an instinct level.
Despite her capability to get out of the situation, Luan did not attempt to resist. During the few days they had been together, the assassin felt a strange attachment toward the Karateka. She thought that Ryo was a simpleton, she considered his obsession for martial arts and his earnist concern over his friends were foolish. In the beginning, Luan even found enjoyment witnessing Ryo struggling for his companions' lives, like an audience watching a comedy show. As a Hizoku that was trained to kill since childhood, this woman had developed a "practical to the point of heartless" personality as well as a sadistic tendency, and she only joined this group of fighters because of her grudge against Ron. However, as time went on, the assassin started to admire the effort that she considered foolish. The Hizoku were a group of assassins, they were practical and heartless, or at least that's how they tried to portrait themselves as, the most humane thing they would do to a fatally wounded partner in a mission was to give them a coup de grâce.
From that unlikely admiration, a different feeling was developed. As the mindless Karateka was pinning her on the ground and looking at her with those lustful eyes, Luan was surprised that she did not have a feeling of disgust or the urge to fight back. The woman allowed the man to fall upon her.
Time passed and Ryo's consciousness slowly returned. The Karateka had not fully grapsed what was going on yet, however he felt something was wrong as they were embracing each other. "The Invicible Dragon" had fought countless opponents in clinches, however he had never being embraced this gently while his body was experiencing an unfamiliar pleasure. Still in great confusion, he instinctly raised up, that was his defensive mechanism as a fighter. Luan realized her confused partner had stopped his movement, she raised up and gently tied the Karate's neck into her arms and dragged him down again.
Time passed and Ryo finally regained his mind. However, at this point, the pleasure had taken over all reasonings. Additionally, although his consciousness had returned in full, the lust that was resulted from his abuse of specific medicine and nutrient food remained. Ryo quickly abandonned his recovered intellect to chase after the pleasure he was experiencing for the first time in his life.
It had been a while since the moment Ryo reclaimed his consciousness. His body was not fully recovered, he knew that resting was necessary, however there was a drive that kept commanding his body to go on. Even the Karateka was surprised that he was able to continue this fiercely for such a long time, while succumbed in sexual desires he occassionally wondered if his body was actually in an exhausted state.
While drown in unfamiliar pleasure, Ryo suddenly sensed an aura of hostility from outside. No matter how passionate his partner was, ultimately he was a fighter who devoted his life for martial arts. At the end of the day, his defensive instinct triumphed reproducing one. "The Invincible Dragon" stopped the movements of his body and quickly covered Luan's mouth with his hand, trying to stop her from creating more sound as well as alarming her of the threat. This was his basic procedure when someone assaulting his place. But this situation was not the same as those assaults he had been dealing with for his entire life.
As he stopped Luan's moans, Ryo paid attention to what was happening outside. His mind was not as fuzzy as it was after the Ki transfering section, however his senses had not completely recovered. Even with his best effort, the only thing he could sense was someone was lurking outside. While trying to deduct the enemies, Ryo felt sudden impacts on his chest. Luan had used her "Yi Yang Finger" skills to strike 2 pressure points on his chest, the Karateka immediately lost all his strength and falled down. The woman quickly held Ryo before he touched the ground, then gently placed him down.
"You betray us!", Ryo tried to shout as the Hizoku assassin, however he could not create a single sound. Luan had used "Yi Yang Finger" to strike on specific pressure points of Ryo and sealed his ability to move and speak. All "The Invincible Dragon" could do at this moment was helplessly looking at Luan's betrayal.
"At your current state, you would not be able to defend yourself or your friends again:st them.", Luan said as if trying to make an excuse for her action. "If you don't stay down, you won't be able to survive today."
Ryo could not talk, he could only looked Luan furiously as she put on her clothes and moved outside,
From his room, Ryo suddenly heard a loud laughter from outside: "Who could have guessed the only female Deva of South Emperor sect would fall for a Karate guy?"
It was not Ron's voice, however as this person knew about Luan and the Hizoku, he should be one of the Hizoku. Ryo then heard Luan's voice: "I have knocked the kid unconscious. Why have you not killed him yet?"
"Aren't you our enemy, Luan?", the person who laughed earlier asked. "Why are you helping us now? What are you scheming?"
"We are in condition to fight you at the moment.", Luan said. "Just do what you need at leave us alone."
"If you cannot fight us at the moment, isn't it wiser to kill you all now?", that person asked.
"I knew you were here since the time I was helping the Karateka treating his friends.", Luan replied. "If you are so confident to fight us, you had multiple opportunities. I know you actually don't want to risk fighting us. Ron, don't you remember how my "Yi Yang Finger" feel?"
Ryo heard another laughter, this time gentlier yet more intimidating. He had heard this voice 2 weeks prior, it was from Ron.
"You are correct, little girl.", Ron said. "5 years ago, thanks to the help of the other Devas, you were able to struck me with a "Yi Yang Finger". That strike caused severe damage on the Qi meridians inside my body, the result from 10 years of my training were completely erased. After all these years, I have yet to fully recover from that strike. Indeed, "Yi Yang Finger" is the ultimate nemesis of martial arts from West Venom sect. That's why I did not attack you and risked getting struck by the same technique again."
While listening to the conversation, Ryo remember Luan's weird behaviours when they were treating Robert and Kim. Turned out it was not the possibility of Ron coming that made her anxious, it was the fact that Ron had been arrived already. The only thing that prevented the rogue Hizoku from attacking was his fear of "Yi Yang Finger". While he wanted to punch himself for losing his caution by exhaustion and lust, Ryo also wanted to give a praise to the brilliance of "Yi Yang Finger", the ability to damage someone's internal energy to the point of taking away years of their training was a fearsome ability. But his body was completely shut down by "Yi Yang Finger", he could do neither of those things.
"I don't want to fight a losing battle and you don't want to risk getting hurt by my skills.", Luan said. "So just kill the Psycho Soldier and leave. We will settle our grudge later."
"So you struck the kid down to use him as a negotiating tool and not a bait?", the other man made a sarcastic remark. "What a heartless girl."
"It seems you misunderstand 2 things.", Ron said. "Firstly, about the kid with the Dragon Spirit power. I know that policeman thought we wanted to kill this kid to force the Dragon Spirit to place its entire power into the other one. That deduction was indeed pretty logical, however we never planned on killing any of the kid. The power of the Dragon is enormous, we don't need to collect it all at once. We are fine with taking it from the one with the stronger connection to the power first and planning on the other one later."
"What do you say?", Ryo heard Luan's voice that was full of doubts and confusion.
"You heard me right.", Ron replied. "We want to capture the kid, not to kill him. If you wanted to ruin our plan, instead of trying to help them and falling for that man as a result, you should have to just eliminate the kid."
Ryo heard another loud laughter from the other man, but he did not hear anything from Luan. He guessed that she was so furious that she could not let out a single word. Ron continued:
"Secondly, we don't need to fear you "Yi Yang Finger" anymore."
"What do you mean?", Luan impatiently asked.
"The Hizoku clan has existed for 4 centuries.", Ron said. "Do you know during those years, only a few females were able to master "Yi Yang Finger"? You were trained by Lin, the Deva of West Venom before training "Yi Yang Finger" and joining South Emperor sect. As the only female Deva of South Emperor, do you know why all members of your sect send their daughters to East Heretics and West Venom sects instead of training the girls themselves?"
"Unlike other sects, South Emperor's only martial art is "Yi Yang Finger" of Daili's royalties.", Luan replied. "Although this skill does not require tremendious physical prowess as "18 Dragon Subduing Palms", it is still a martial art that is physically demanding and focuses on the use of Yang qi. Naturally, compared to martial arts from West Venom sect, "Falling Blossom Divine Sword" from East Heretics and "Dog Beating Staff" from North Beggar, it is harder for women who are physically weaker and whose Qi lean on Yin nature to master "Yi Yang Finger" of South Emperor sect."

If a man stops at the exact moment before reaching peak sexual pleasure, the temptation to reaches that peak rises the energy of Yang nature; but if he cannot resist that temptation, he will be drained of his Yang energy. It is a bit different for a woman, during the whole process of mating, the level of Yin qi in a woman constantly rises until she stops enjoying the pleasure. I suppose you don't need me to tell you what will happen to a "Yi Yang Finger" fighter if their Yin triumphs Yang."
As the Hizoku assassins were talking to each other, Ryo started to feel strength in his limbs again, however he could not make any movement yet.
