Chapter 10

Natsuo Visits

Shoto woke up to a body wrapped in his arms. Shoto opened his eyes to find Nyssa curled up in his arms with her face pressed in his shoulder. The two had come into his room and cuddled and talked into the night. They fell asleep in each other's arms. Shoto pressed a kiss to her forehead as Nyssa snuggled closer to him. He was gonna love these night cuddles.

"Your warm." Nyssa mumbled into his shoulder. Shoto chuckled. He pulled her close and buried his face in her neck. He enjoyed this moment having her in his arms. The door slid open and little feet padded over the floor.

"Mama. You awake?" Miki asked. Nyssa groaned. "Daddy?" Shoto chuckled. He was gonna enjoy hearing that.

"Let mommy wake up." Shoto said turning his head to see Miki with a bed head and holding a Shoto doll. He held out an arm and she quickly came over and laid next to him, snuggling against him. It felt right to him. A knock on the door came. "What is it?"

"Shoto. I'm sorry to bother you, but Natsuo is here." Rei said. Nyssa looked up at Shoto. Shoto had broken the news to Natsuo that Dabi had a daughter. From what Nyssa heard, his brother was shocked but hadn't come to see his niece quite yet.

"Give us a few minutes and we'll be out, mom." Shoto said. Rei left. Miki got off and quickly left the room. Nyssa looked at Shoto and kissed his check. "Ready to meet my brother?"

"Guess so. He was the one close to Dabi?" Nyssa asked.

"They use to be before Toyou died and became Dabi." Shoto said as Nyssa got up. Nyssa left to change and found Shoto waiting for her when she left her room with Miki. Shoto walked with Nyssa and Miki to the dining room where Natsuo was talking to Fuyumi. Natsuo turned as they entered. Natsuo eyes widened when he saw Miki, who was holding onto Shoto's hand.

"Shoto was right." Natsuo said.

"Natsuo. This is your niece, Miki." Shoto introduced. Miki came up to Natsuo.

"Hi." Miki said with a small smile.

"Breakfast is ready. Nyssa. Can you help bring the plates in." Rei said, peeping her head in.

"Of course." Nyssa said. Nyssa came back to find Natsuo had Miki sitting on his lap. He smiled at the little girl. Shoto saw Nyssa watching and gave her a smile.

After food was eaten. Fuyumi took Miki to help with some homework. Nyssa explained everything with what happened with Dabi to Natsuo. Shoto had a hand on her leg as he sat next to her.

"So Dabi used you to get to Shoto. He did a horrible job." Natsuo said.

"If I didn't get out when I did, I probably still be there. Just grateful Endeavor got me a job at his agency, and I started working for Shoto." Nyssa said.

"So you two are dating now?" Natsuo said, looking at Nyssa and Shoto.

"We are." Shoto said.

"And Miki is starting to call Shoto daddy now." Nyssa said. She smiled when she saw Shoto blushing. He was so cute.

"When did that happen?" Rei asked.

"Last night after we went out for the night." Shoto said.

"He has been more of a father then Dabi was." Nyssa said.

"Seems like she's attached to you. You definitely aren't like father." Natsuo said. Shoto gave a small smile.

"I know. Nyssa reassured me last night that I won't be like my father." Shoto said.

"I don't see it when you train her and she definitely have a better childhood then you did. I'm proud of you, Shoto. You come a long way." Rei said. Shoto smiled.

"Thanks Mom." Shoto said.

"Let's go see if she wants to play ball in the courtyard. I want to get to know my niece more. I got all day." Natsuo said. Rei and Nyssa smiled as the two men disappear to go get Miki.

"I never thought this day would happen." Rei looked at Nyssa as she watched Shoto disappear. "Miki knowing Dabi's side of the family. But I'm happy she is spending more time with the family." Rei grabbed Nyssa's hand.

"Fate works in mysterious ways. After what I did to Shoto when he was a kid. I thought he would never forgive me and hate me, but he showed up one day at the hospital and started spending his days off with me. Things happen for a reason." Nyssa smiled at Rei. "If you two want a date night, I'll be more than happy to watch her when you go out."

"Thank you." Nyssa said.

The whole day was spent with Natsuo and Shoto playing with Miki. Nyssa could tell Shoto's brother was enjoying being an uncle. Nyssa even joined the fun with the three.

That night. Nyssa was putting Miki down as Shoto escorted Natsuo to the door.

"She's a good kid. Just make sure dad doesn't take full control of the training." Natsuo said.

"I won't. Mother is gonna help make sure he doesn't. I'm looking for another home for the girls and I to move so that we don't have to live under his roof long." Shoto said.

"You plan to take mom with?" Natsuo asked. Shoto nodded. "Good. I don't want her to stay here alone with you gone. Good night, Little Brother." Natsuo left. Shoto turned to see Nyssa leaning against the doorframe waiting for him.

"Miki asleep?" Shoto asked.

"Out like a light. You two wore her out." Nyssa said. Shoto pulled her against him. Nyssa wrapped her arms around him. She wasn't use to the attention with how Dabi was, but she was enjoying this.

"Sleep in my room tonight." Shoto said. Nyssa smiled as she took his hand and pulled him towards his room for a night of talks and cuddles.
