ANNOUNCEMENT - The Original Storyboard

Hey what's up, fellas? Back with a new update to Sonic DxD… but its not a chapter. It's an announcement that the series is being reworked cuz I can't do it anymore… at least, in its current state. It's being changed onward to fit a new frontiers addition.

Remember, this was written before Frontiers was ever revealed to the public aside from the Rangers 4chan leaks, then the metadata leak confirmed it all that crazy road the internet went down. However you guys want Frontiers in this story and hell, I would LOVE to write a massive arc like that… but we have an issue.

We got Sonic and Eggman in the beginning, so that's fine. Knuckles just dropped in last update, so he's here. And of course Tails, as you can probably tell, is already on his way, finding his own way to the High School DxD universe.

Wait… aren't we forgetting someone?…

As much you guys want Frontiers after season 1 (yes, I'm still reading all your comments); that's simply not gonna happen as everyone's favorite Hammering Hedgehog is currently absent. We can't do Frontiers without her! Plus, think of the comedy gold that'll unfold once Sonic's "girlfriend" mets a bunch of Devils from a harem anime?

Issei: Whoa, whoa, whoa! You got a problem with Koneko and me, but YOU date a preteen?

Sonic: Uh, Sorry Issei! Your breaking up! GOTTA GO! BYYYYYYYE!

That above is an actually planned interaction, but we can cross that bridge later. Another issue is the story this fic originally had going for it. As I'm currently rewriting everything just for the sake of Frontiers being added, I see no reason to keep you guys in the dark any longer:

•In the original script, Sonic would become Super Sonic during the final battle against Riser, basically the ultimate proof where Rias and the ORC could not argue against the Chaos Emeralds existence. Plus a nice finale. Their would of course be the question how Sonic could have gone super with only 1 Emerald, which would have lead into season 2.

•In the originally planned season 1 epilogue, Tails would have found his way to the DxD universe when Sonic and the ORC tracked down the next Emerald. Following this thanks to Tails' smarts, the Chaos Emeralds would have been revealed to be more powerful in the DxD world.

•Additionally along with being more powerful, the Chaos Emeralds also had a weird side effect on Pure Devils. For a currently unknown reason, the Emerald would only give negative energy to Pure Devils. When Rias attempted to use one however with her positive thoughts, the Emerald would get quote "confused" and give both forms of energy at the same time. This would cause the Emerald to "malfunction", and generate a small Chaos Blast as a form of defense lest it destroy itself.

•Chaos 0 would appear in the DxD world and while he didn't hesitate to attack any of the Devils, he actually seemed fond or at least seemed familiar with Akeno which calmed him down. A vision from Tikal later showed Akeno's father was somehow in the distant past along with Kokabiel.

•Kokabiel would have revealed the origins of the Chaos Emeralds. As this was written before the Frontiers lore-drop, their origins would have been from the DxD world and thus, the reason they were more powerful here. This would even cause internal conflict as if Sonic would get all 7, Kokabiel brought up the question if Sonic can handle all that power even if its the only way from him to get home.

•Tikal would appear as well, revealing herself as the glowing light following the Devils around and showing them visions of the past that even Sonic never got to see. The reason was to warn about Kokabiel and what he did so long ago, which also indirectly caused Chaos' initial rampage.

•Vali would have found an Emerald himself during the White Dragon arc, and as the fic would progress, Loki would make his presence known in the following arc, revealing he was the one that sent Sonic and Eggman to the DxD world (although he was strictly after the Chaos Emeralds, so this was purely accidental). Loki would also be revealed to have the final 3 Emeralds on hand the whole time.

•Super Sonic and Loki would face off, but the latter still successfully triggered Ragnarok, which was just code for The Time of Awakening, allowing this worlds version of Dark Gaia to slowly be reborn. This would force Sonic to share his power with Rias and Issei, giving them Super Forms as well. Sonic would then use up all his power to freeze time in The Time of Awakening ritual, leaving Rias and Issei (named Crimson Rias and Chaos Crimson Promotion) the only ones standing in Loki's way.

•After Loki was defeated, the Chaos Emeralds spread out again, going back to square one. Sometime later, a select number of members of the group would transport to Green Hill Zone, also introducing Amy to the series as well.

As you can see, most of above simply cannot be used or I'll have to work overtime to figure out how I can make it flow into the new story in a cohesive way. The first bullet point still is going to happen, and of course Knuckles and Tails are still coming, but now I have to find a way to get Amy here as well BEFORE transporting to Green Hill, while at the same time still finding a way for the ORC to visit Sonic's world.

Basically, Sonic DxD isn't going anywhere. Just the original story I had planned. It's just constantly changing and evolving like a Pokémon.

So regarding the next official chapter… it'll get here when it gets here. As you read this, i'm still currently trying to write Frontiers into the fic, which as I said before is doable. But as of right now, it cannot come after season 1. Maybe after or during the 1st half of season 2, but not during season 3.

I have so many twists and turns planned for the Frontiers arc, like having the Koko a little more involved in the plot, but in an interesting way. I'm not saying with it is here, but I'm sure you'll like it when we get there. And of course making the Titan fights as a ludicrous, ridiculous, and as crazy as possible!

There's just so much to be done on the back end, I'm honestly not sure when I'll return. But I do plan to finish the first season BEFORE the 3rd update to Frontiers comes out. So in the meantime, thanks for your patience and being an awesome fambase. In fact, a google search had this story as one, if not the number one, result. This is thanks too you, as well as the trolls who keep leaving BS reviews, and as a result my spot in the algorithm just keeps going up.
