"It's on!" Minako cried out.
Rei came and joined her on the floor in front of the little television as the first chords of music began to play.
Minako squealed with excitement before singing along to the lyrics of the pop groups latest hit. Rei watched as Minako swayed to the beat, smiling fondly.
Moved by the chorus, Rei couldn't help herself, and joined in.
Minako turned and sang along with her as they clasped hands in excitement at being able to hear this as close to live as they'd probably ever get.
Smiling, Minako paused in her singing and let Rei's voice take the spotlight. She loved hearing Rei's voice. It grounded Minako during her worst moments and cheered with her at times like these.
As their eyes met, they smiled shily at one another but didn't unclasp their hands. A new song had begun to play.
Suddenly, as the music swelled, Minako found herself twirled, before Rei caught her in an embrace.
Together they continued to move to the beat. Still swaying and humming the melody long after the song had ended giving way to an intermission, neither wanting to pull away from what lay between them.
