Okay, so I'm back with a new Chapter. I hope you all enjoy this one. Sorry, I've been so long, but a lot has changed since I last updated, such as moving out into my new place, which took a lot of time.
Then there's my University course I am completing, which is a 3-year course, but By this May 2023, I will have finished my first year and be taking my exam, so in between all that, I've not had time to update soooooooo Here it is. ENJOY!
''Aunt Mi, where they go,'' Seren asked shyly, walking up to her aunt and her brother following they'd had fun with the red-haired twins.
Hermione smiled at the twins and kissed them both on their heads. ''They've had to leave, but everyone else here would love an introduction properly.'' Hermione smiled ''Okay, so this is Professor Minerva McGonagall. She is the deputy headmistress, my transfiguration professor, and head of Gryffindor house.''
Minerva smiled at the twins. They were so polite, but she could see they had been through hell. She couldn't imagine the pain they went through watching their mother die. ''Hello, it's lovely to meet you, merlin. You both look a lot like your aunt. I can't wait to see what you've got when you're old enough to come here.'' she smirked. ''Hopefully, Gryffindors.''
Hunter smiled ''Uncle Harry and Draco say we Slytherin.''
Seren nodded ''Uncle Harry said aunt Mi was one.''
Draco and Harry smirked at that, much to Hermione's annoyance and everyone else's amusement.
''Oh, and what about you? What would you choose.'' Severus asked smoothly.
Hunter and Seren looked at the dark-haired man cautiously but studied him. He seemed okay; they shared a quick look that only twins and someone with a close bond could do.
''Mummy, give us a book.'' Hunter started.
Seren nodded. ''Mummy said it was aunt Mi's favourite, and we see the house,'' she told him bravely. She was nervous but wouldn't show it. Something about this man said he wouldn't hurt her.
''Oh, and have you decided, and do you know about the houses.'' the twin's action highly amused Severus; he knew he'd been assessed and judged and was quite pleased to see he'd passed whatever they were feeling him on. He was grinning mentally over the girl, slight stance to show she wasn't scared.
Hunter thought for a moment, a look on his face that others would swear it was a male version of Hermione. ''Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw,'' he told him.
Seren nodded ''I like Slytherin and Ravenclaw.''
Hunter nodded ''I want Gryffindor and Slytherin,''
Draco smirked ''No Hufflepuff.''
Hunter and Seren shook their head quickly ''We don't like Yellow.
''Badgers are boring.'' Seren told the room ''Snakes are cool.''
''No Lions.'' Hunter argued.
''No Snakes and Birds,'' Seren said in a matter-of-fact tone.
Everyone in the room was amused ''So you like Gryffindor, Slytherin and Ravenclaw but don't want to be a Hufflepuff.'' Harry sorted for them, seeing them nod.
Minerva smiled ''At least I'm still in the running.''
Albus chuckled ''No doubt Filius would love the idea of one of them in his house.''
''What about you,'' Draco shouted across to his potion master and godfather.
Severus's lips twitched slightly ''They have potential; at least I might be able to give points as they would be in my house.''
Hermione snorted ''You could have given me points.''
''I could, but there were two reasons I couldn't. One, I was a spy, and two.'' he trailed off, smirking, ''You were a Gryffindor.''
Hermione rolled her eyes when she saw Minerva frown slightly before smiling slightly. ''Hunter, Seren, this one is Professor Severus Snape. He teaches potions and is in charge of Slytherin.''
''Professor Snake,'' Seren said curiously, not realising the mistake in the name. ''That's funny; I like snakes, do you, professor Snake.''
''Potions! I love Potions.'' Hunter added straight after his sister.
Hermione choked on air ''Seren love; it's professor Snape.''
Seren looked at her aunt ''Yes, Professor Snake.''
''No Snape, Sn-ape.'' Hermione tried sounding out, but her niece was having none of it.
''I know. I said it's professor Snake. Will you tell her it's professor Snake?''
Draco couldn't hold it, nor could Albus, and they both began laughing while the others looked fit to burst but were too afraid to.
Hermione was mortified and wanted the ground to swallow her up ''Guys.''
Severus smirked at Hermione's discomfort. He liked riling her up, her eyes flashed, and it felt like she was burning him; she was a firey goddess. When her eyes flashed, he couldn't help but wonder what It would be like if they flashed in passion rather than annoyance. Where on earth did that come from? You know where it comes from. No, she's a student. She's a mere child. Come of it. She's no child. There's nothing childlike about her. Okay, woman, but still a student and a young one. I don't believe it's my fault you fall for someone who loves books and intelligence like you. He shook his head and banished such thoughts. He wasn't interested in her, Miss Granger was a student even if she was of age, and he didn't like her like that. You keep telling yourself that, old man. He quickly caught on to the girl asking him something and nodded. ''Yes, it's professor Snake.'' when he saw her turn to the witch, he'd just argued with himself over, he nodded. ''If that's how she says it, let her. It's fitting, personally. After all, I am head of the snakes.''
Hunter, once able, asked the man about potions again ''Can I do some.''
Severus raised a brow ''You have brewed before.''
Hunter nodded. ''Seren and I did it with mummy,'' he said, his voice hitched slightly.
Hermione drew both kids into her arms. They were getting upset. She could tell it had been a long day for all of them.
Severus nodded ''I see no problem; if your aunt agrees, perhaps you could help me with stuff.'' he looked at Hermione, who was comforting the twins ''I have some Potions they can make; I used to do so with Draco when he was their age.''
Draco grinned ''I had lots of fun,''
Seren looked up and smiled ''Can I do some, too.'' she asked, hopefully
''I don't see why not.'' he nodded to her.
Seren then turned to Minerva. ''Can I do tranguration too.'' she asked hopefully '' I want to be an animal like Mummy.''
Hermione raised a brow ''Was your mum an Animagus.''
Hunter shook his head ''Mummy kept trying; she said never to give up.''
Minerva looked at the young girl, who looked hopeful sadly; she couldn't do much ''I can't teach you as you aren't big enough for a wand yet, but I could show you some stuff and books you like reading, yes.''
Seren's eyes lit up ''I love reading; it's fun.''
Everyone laughed at that; she was defiantly a mini Hermione, even if she was just the girl's aunt. Soon the twins had met everyone and turned to the new aunt ''Play with us.'' Tonks smiled at the twins. She knew what would be discussed, so she grinned, ''Race Ya.'' and chased the twins as they ran laughing.
Hermione smiled, touched to hear the twins laugh. ''It's good to see them happy,'' she said wistfully before she saddened again. ''There's not going to be much laughter, I fear.''
''it'll be okay, my wee Lass,'' Minerva said, her Scottish accent becoming more brogue with her emotions.
''Oh, tell them about that creepy lawyer,'' Draco said to her.
Hermione gasped ''I almost forgot.''
''What's so creepy about a lawyer,'' Harry asked, concerned.
''Well, apart from his name, he insulted me and then tried to read my mind; I was sure of it, something was off about him, the twins also said he was mean to them, didn't give them anything to drink or eat, and he was insistent on me going to their house to get the kids' stuff and to go with him so we could discuss the will, and he also kept questioning whether I wanted the twins and could I cope.'' she shuddered ''Albus sensed it too.''
Albus nodded ''I'm afraid I did; something didn't sit right with Hermione or me, as a matter of fact.''
Kinglsey frowned. ''What's his name? Perhaps we could look into him.''
Draco nodded ''I'm already going to ask my father about him. Hopefully, she can use one of ours, so she doesn't have to deal with that bloke.''
''What's his name,'' Harry asked tense. He would kill anyone who tried to harm his sister.
''Justin case.''
Harry shook his head ''well yeah, I need to know just in case there's any information on him.''
Hermione shook her head, amused ''No, Harry, not Just in case. His name is Justin Case; It's his name, not word.''
Upon hearing her clear up the name Harry burst into uncontrollable laughter ''Oh my good gods, that name, ha, I bet that got him a few laughs growing up,'' he said, fake wiping the nonexistent tears. ''His parents must have hated him.'' he said shaking his head ''And hear Tonks thought Nymphadora was bad,''
Kingsley then said, ''On a serious note, I will do some digging as a minister. I may be able to find more; I could pass it off as my job, even as a temporary minister.'' he told them, ''Don't worry, Hermione, you did all you could for us during the war; let us help you now.''
Hermione knew better than to argue, and she was grateful. Deep down, she knew she had to focus on the twins. That wasn't saying she wouldn't be alert or fight back.
Severus also, like the others, vowed to help keep her safe. The thought of anyone hurting her any more than she had been filling him with rage because you want her; you hate the idea of someone hurting your witch, he again screamed in his head at his thoughts; honestly, he felt like he was going round the twist it's not like that. I care. She is a student, and she fought alongside us in the war. Again, he ignored himself. He didn't want to think about it anymore.
