Ryker's Island Maximum Security Penitentiary, a super-max security prison located at Ryker's island, is run by the massive government organization S.H.I.E.L.D. or as inmates call it the raft.

The raft holds some of the most notorious criminals of all of human history, this includes Emil Blonsky a.k.a the abomination, baron zemo, and Justin hammer, and those are just the well-known ones the worse ones are the ones they don't tell you about.

Here are one of many of Ryker's inmates, he was an average-looking man. He is a balding man, wearing a standard-issue Prison jumpsuit, he had a readable expression on his face while he was staring at the wall, looking to be in deep thought.

His cell didn't have much, it had a calendar with X marks plastered around a few showing how long he's been there although it's a more likely possibility that he has been doing this for a few pages. But he did notably have a picture frame that showed a picture of him and what appeared to be his family. It was in mint condition, like he constantly took care of it, never even letting a smudge be there.

He always does this when the inmates have free time, he never really socialized with any other criminals, and he never cared about whether or not he made any friends here, one way or the other they always end up dead, either that be one of them shanking the other, or someone said something bad about someone that didn't exactly take it well, Either way, it's not his problem.

He continued to look at the wall but for some reason, he started to look more annoyed, to irritated to angry, whatever he was thinking about was starting to get to him badly, his anger turned into a hateful glare, as if he stared hard enough at the wall it would just shatter from his glare alone. Whatever or whoever he was thinking about, was filling him with a vengeful rage.

But suddenly his train of thought was broken when his cell door opened, making him turn his glare on the person who entered.

A man in a business suit entered with two guards with large guns, behind them, he had a smile on his face that the inmate could tell was a false one, he knew that the businessman wasn't here to make any friends.

"Hello good sir, I am Mr. Osborne, and I am here to help you get your freedom back!" He said as the inmate still kept his harsh glare at him. Mr. Osborne however didn't seem to faze, instead

"Ah, sorry to interrupt you, at staring at a stone-cold wall, but As I said, I believe that I can help you out of this rat hole." He said

The man looked at him, unamused. "Yea? And what's the catch?" He said

Mr. Osborne smirked at this. "Well, I want you and some of your old lackeys to participate in a big-scale project that I and my lead scientists have been working on for the past few years."

The inmate scoffed at this. "You know, that does sound like an enticing offer, but..." he said as he got up and walked towards him.

The guards immediately raised their guns at him, the inmate didn't seem fazed and continued, "STAND BACK DIRTBAG, OR WELL SHOOT!" One of the guards warned. But Mr. Osborne held up his hand to stop them with his still unchanging smirk, as the inmate got close up to him staring him dead in the eyes.

"How do I know that you're not going to backstab me when all is said and done and leave all of us to rot in here?" He said glaring at the businessman

However, Mr. Osborne himself still wasn't even the slightest fazed, almost like he had experience with people like him. "I am a man of my word, wouldn't you want to see your family again, be a part of their lives, even if there was a chance, that this was all just a ploy? Wouldn't it at least be worth a try?" He said

The inmate thought about this, while yes this could be an opportunity for his family again, but there was a still that thought in his head that this could all turn bad for him, dammit, if it weren't for that damn kid he wouldn't even be here if it weren't for that stupid kid's intervention,

and now he most likely had to take a chance with an already sketchy man, to just MAYBE by a Chance, be able to see his family again... he just wasn't sure. but then he thought about his daughter, he didn't want to miss the chance to see his daughter grow.

"Fine, I'll do it." He said begrudgingly.

Mr. Osborn smiled. "Great, how about he shakes on it." He said as he put out his hand.

The inmate then shook Mr. Osborne's hand, Although to his surprise the inmate could feel the strong grip Mr. Osborne had, he definitely didn't expect an average-looking businessman to even have any type of physical strength, He was definitely going to keep eye on him, he definitely knew that something wasn't right.

Mr. Osborne seemed satisfied. "It has been a pleasure doing business With you Mr. Toomes."

It was yet another beautiful day in the small town of wart wood, but the same couldn't be said for what was going on in the planters home.

Inside sprig and hop pop were cleaning the dishes while Polly was licking a fork, which hopefully wasn't her also cleaning the dishes.

In the living room were Spider-Man and Anne sitting on the couch, with the both of them having an argument.

"Ok, listen, all I am saying is that I should have my space, and you should have yours!" Peter said trying to defuse the situation. However the same couldn't be said for Anne.

"Well, yea! And I'm just saying that you shouldn't be getting all worked up about where my clothes end up!" Anne argued.

"Yea, but I wouldn't be here arguing with you if it were only that!" Spider-Man argued back. "I've been trying to get used to being your roommate, but lately You've been just getting unbearable!"

Anne just scoffed and glared at him. "Oh, that's rich coming from the guy that constantly makes loud noises with his stupid web shooters.

The two continued to argue, as hop pop and sprig looked on. "Oh boy, it's gonna be one of those days." Hop pop said, already feeling the upcoming headache.

Sprig and Spider-Man were outside doing their chores, while hop pop was holding the door out for Anne, who was carrying a box full of turnips,

Anne was grunting while carrying the turnips. "So, heavy!" She said as she walked out.

"Mind the flagstone!" Hop pop warned pointing over to a rock pedestal.

Anne however didn't notice until it was too late.

"Gah!" Anne fell face-first onto the ground, resulting in all of the turnips falling everywhere.

Spider-Man saw this and came in to help her up while hop pop picked up the turnips.

"Oh my god! Are you okay?" Peter asked as he tried to help her up, but Anne just swatted his hand away and glared at him.

"Uh, dude why didn't you help?" Anne asked sternly.

To say that Spider-Man was baffled would be an understatement. "Help you? How was I supposed to save you from falling?" Peter asked a little irritated.

Anne just crossed her arms. "Well, duh, your bug senses or whatever you call them," Anne said annoyed.

Spider-Man narrowed his eye at her. "First of all there called spidey senses. And second, it's not my fault that your clumsy, and don't look around we're your going!"

Anne glared at Spider-Man which he returned with full force.

Sprig looked on a bit worried.

Sprig and Polly were now in the living room playing cards while hop pop was sleeping in his chair. But all three jolted up when they heard loud knocking in the upstairs bathroom.

"Dude! Like, hurry up! You've been in there for an hour and a half!" Anne yelled agitated.

"Well sorry," he said sarcastically. "I've been trying to clean out the stains from our last hunt! And surprise! Surprise! It isn't exactly easy!" Spider-Man said more irritated than before.

"*scoffs* well can't you just do it outside? I mean, like you know there are people that have to use it too!" She argued back.

"Oh, that's rich? Coming from the person that takes 2 hours tops, to use the restroom!" He fired back.

"Ugh! I can't take it anymore!" Sprig snapped.

Polly and hop pop however didn't really seem fazed.

"Well sprig you gotta understand, Anne and... Spider-Man, ugh I'm never gonna get used to saying that with a straight face. Uh, anyway, there just getting used to each other, remember, they didn't exactly start off in the best of terms when they came here." Hop said.

Sprig then jumped on the table, causing all of the cards to get mixed up, looking at the two with an intense stare. "Yea, but they've been going at this all day! And do you know who else constantly argued all the!" He said as he pointed outside to an old decrepit house, that had a for sale sign on the front. "That used to be Hendersons' home! But their family got split apart because they never settled their grudges against each other!"

At the same time sprig was ranting, Wally came out of the house with a cart full of dishes and utensils. "Nothing like scavenging the remains of a broken frog family." He said happily while putting another dish into the pile.

"So if we don't do something now, it won't be long before their bickering tears this family apart!" He said dramatically.

"Relax, I just think that gives them time to settle this on their own. Besides it's not like we have a lot of options, you can't force people to get along." She said while stacking up the cards in order.

"Yea, Polly's right sprig. They'll stop bickering eventually." Hop pop agreed.

Sprig thought about this, then came up with an idea. He then looked at Everyone with an unreadable expression, before picking up his book.

"Of course guys." He said walking backward still staring at them, as the two glanced at each other in confusion.

"Of course." He whispered as he left.

The two looked on before shrugging and returning to their activities... that is until sprig peeked back.

"Of cour-"

Just go already!" Polly yelled annoyed.

Sprig then walked away, and began to think up his plane but little did he know that he was being watched by a large figure from outside.

"Alright, kid let's see what you've got." The figure said as he put on his mike, to hear what sprig was going to do.

It was nighttime, everyone had already gotten to bed, and even Anne and Spider-Man had to stop their bickering for the night. However, one resident was still wide awake, as sprig walked outside to make his scheme come true.

"Alright, so here is the plan, I get rid of all of the corn and blame a robber, then I put spidey and Anne on steak out duty, we're they will both talk it out and be friends again, he I don't so how this could go wrong." Sprig summarized confidently to himself, but that immediately went away as he realized, that he didn't know how he would even begin.

"so how do I get rid of all this corn?" He said to no one in particular. He thought on what to do next, then came up with a solution.

"Aha! I've got it! I'll just use some of the hedge clippers I'm not allowed to use!" He said as he ran back into the house.

The figure from before was watching sprig as he ran back into the house, and immediately got down once he knew that the coast was clear.

"Not a bad idea kid, but I think you should let the adults handle this." He said as he got out his razor-sharp wings and charged at the corn.

30 minutes later

Sprig finally came back carrying a bundle of large and sharp objects. "Oh boy, I sure hope that none of these actually hurt me." Sprig said as he made his way to the farm, but suddenly dropped all of what he was holding and stared agape, at the now destroyed cornfield.

"W-what?" Sprig stuttered in surprise, as he gazed at all of the destroyed corn. "What could've destroyed all of this corn in a few minutes?" He questioned as he picked up a piece of shredded corn. "Maybe not what, but who." He said as he narrowed his eye in suspicion. "Aw well, it was probably just some raging beetle." He shrugged as he threw away the corn behind him. "Well that takes care of that, now for the next step, is for spidey and Anne to stop arguing. He said reassuringly.

"Alright now to carry back all of these dangerous objects!" He said happily as he started to pick them up.

The figure from before smiled sinisterly. "He, thanks for the idea kid, now all I gotta do is wait for the perfect opportunity.l He said as his smile turned into a sneer. "Then I can finally get my revenge on you kid, hope you and your little girlfriend are prepared for tomorrow." He said as he slowly walked back into the shadows blending in with the darkness.

It was the next day, as the hop pop and the teenagers were hanging out outside, hop pop let out a sigh, as he looked at the beautiful bright blue sky, but that was interrupted as sprig suddenly piped out of nowhere scaring hop pop."WE'VE BEEN ROOOOOOOBED!" He yelled dramatically.

"SAY WHAAAAT!?" Hop pop said as equally frantic as sprig.

Anne snickers which caused everyone to look at her. "Sorry, sorry, it's just that hop-pop delivered the perfect sitcom catchphrase."

Everyone stared at her confused for a second before Peter spoke. "This is what I have to deal with people." He said plainly.

The planters and the teens walked into the farm and saw all of the destroyed corn fields.

"*gasp* my prize corn!" Hop pop said panicked.

"Yea, sprig is right, no way this was done by some large insect creature," Spider-Man said as he inspected a piece of corn.

"Well yea no duh, he literally just said that!" Anne said crossing her arms.

"Oh for the love of! I know Anne, I was just studying the area to make sure!" He said glaring at her.

"The injustice! The outrage! we've gotta catch this thief!" He said rising his arms.

"Agreed, and it's nice to see you so passionate about produce, sprig." Hop pop said proudly.

"Yes, very odd," Polly said narrowing her eye in suspicion.

"If the thief stole once it will steal again, the only way to catch this monster is a steak out!" He said as he got on top of a broken cart.

"I like steak." Said, Polly

"Good idea." Hop pop said.

"Okay," Anne said.

"Yea, And I'll help out on this steak." Peter agreed.

"Great, and the only one that can help him out is... Anne." He said pointing over to Anne.

Anne and Spider-Man were both surprised by this, but not in a good way. "Huh?" They both said.

"Well, obviously I can't because I have the attention span of a..." he looked at a butterfly passing by. "Oh look at that."

"Why not Spider-Man and hop pop or even Polly?" She questioned.

"You do know that she's a toddler right?" Peter questioned.

"Just asking spidey, Jeez."

"Well ok then, Why not hop-pop?" He asked.

"Oh, hop pops eyesight isn't that good." Sprig said.

"What? You're just talking nonsense now!... who is that Anne?" Hop pop said confused.

"Ok, fair enough," Peter said.

"Yea, but hey spidey, just make sure not to get distracted by your gadgets the whole time," Anne said as she left.

"Oh says the girl that constantly reads her cruddy romance novels!" Peter retorted, while also leaving, with hop pop, Polly, and sprig still on the destroyed corn patch.

Sprig got down and stood next to Polly. "You stole the corn, didn't you?" She asked.

"Actually, no." He said truthfully, shocking both hip pop and Polly.

"Wait, seriously, Sprig if you didn't do this, then who?" Hop pop asked seriously.

"Oh, I don't know, I was going to destroy it but before I could, it already happened," Sprig answered.

"Hmm, well I guess wasn't a bad idea to let those two have a steak out after all." Hop pop said.

"Great so everything turned out great in the end since those two will have to spend the whole night together and bond!" Sprig said while leaving.

"Sprig you can't manipulate people like this!" Polly said following him.

Hop pop looked on unamused. "This family is going to be the death of me, isn't it." He said walking off.

The figure from before was watching the whole interaction with a smirk. "Well it looks like everything is going as planned, I'll just have to wait until night for the perfect opportunity."
He said as he looked at the planter house with a sinister grin.

It was once again nighttime, the steak out had begun with Anne and Spider-Man behind a pile of rocks that Anne and sprig usually go to hang out in.

Inside the planter, home sprig was setting up his telescope to spy on the two with Polly on sprigs hammock watching him with disinterest.

Sprig chuckled as he finished setting up the telescope. "Just look at em, now they watch the flowers of friendship bloom," Sprig said excitedly.

Polly groaned in annoyance.

Anne and Spider-Man were sitting on the back of the rock wall with Anne reading a book and Spider-Man peeking over to look for the thief.

Spider-Man was using his enhancing lenses, to look for any sign of the thief but nothing came up so he decided to deactivate the lenses for now and try to talk to Anne to ease the tension that has been going on between the two.

"So, uh you do know that sprig made this entire thing up right?" He asked Anne.

Anne widened her eyes before turning to the arachnid. "Wait really? How do you know?"

Peter raised an eyebrow and looked at her. "Well I mean It's kinda obvious, he's been seeing Us argue alt recently, so he thinks that if he can get us to be alone here, we'd bond, I thought you already knew that? I mean I'm pretty sure everyone else caught on quickly."

Anne narrowed her eyes at him. "Well sorry, not everyone is as brainy as you web head."

Peter wasn't amused by the remark. "Can you like not to take everything I say as an insult!"

Anne fully turned to Spider-Man and got close. "I wouldn't have to if you weren't so demanding!"

Peter saw that this was going nowhere good so he decided to try to drop it. "You know what, whatever, it doesn't even matter.

Anne closed her book and got up. "Alright so if there is no actual corn there or whatever, why not just leave?"

"Anne, be real with me, do you want to make sprig feel bad about this?"

Anne let out a sigh. "I guess not." She said sitting back down. "So what? Are we seriously just going to sit here all night until daybreak?" She asked.

Peter just laid back on the stones and put his hands behind his head, and decided to stare at the stars, with Anne reluctantly doing the same.

There was an awkward silence between the two, none of them knew what to say to the other after the heated exchange. So Peter decided to bite the bullet and be the first one to talk, but he had to be careful about what he said, he knew that Anne would most likely take it as an insult he didn't.

"So... do you miss home?" Nice one Parker, real nice.

"*sigh* yea I do, sometimes I wonder if we're ever going to get back home," Anne said honestly to Peter's surprise.

Ok so she's not arguing with him... that's a start at least, right?

"Yea me too, I wonder how my friends and my aunt are doing." Peters's eyes widened in panic as he thought about how his aunt might be reacting to all of this right now. "Oh crap, my aunt may, oh my god she's probably been having panic attacks daily because of me, and then there's ned, Michelle, oh god what have I done?!" Peter was begging to hyperventilate, until and put her hands on his shoulders.

"Spidey! Spidey! Calm down. She said worried for her friend. "Everything is going to be fine, your aunt is fine! Just please calm down!" She said unnaturally reassuringly.

Peter looked into Anne's worried eyes, he slowly steadied his breathing, eventually keeping it stabled, and he look at Anne gratefully. "Thanks, Anne, And sorry for All of that. He said as he lay down again.

However, Anne's worried expression did not change so she kneeled beside Peter. "Dude, are you okay?" She asked still worried.

"Peter looked to the side for a second before looking back to Anne and shook his head. "No honestly, I'm in a pretty bad place right now." He answered shakily.

Anne now felt guilty, she was just trying to make the best of her current situation, in being in amphibia, she just for at least a while feel like she was home again, she was just angry at Spider-Man because he kept on complaining, telling her what or what not to do, she didn't like it so she was very vocal about it,

She had her own problems to deal with, why couldn't he see that? It frustrated her to no end, but she had no idea that Peter was also dealing with his own problems. So out of safety for her newest friend, she decided to help out the best way she could, just talk.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked concerned.

Peter looked to the side, thinking about it, truth be told, he never really talked about his emotions with anyone, he would sometimes with his aunt and a lot with... uncle Ben, but that was a long time ago, he can't even remember the last time since he ever felt so emotionally vulnerable, other than the time an entire parking lot fell on him and he started doubting himself.

He never talked about them, so why should he talk about his feeling now? So he turned to Anne and was about to reject the offer, but...

He looked into her eyes and saw the genuine worry and concern, and something he was all too familiar with, guilt. He knew that Anne was just trying to get through her own personal issues, he just wanted Anne to tone it down a little with how she did things, he never meant the situations To devolve into heated arguments, which would leave the two to not talk to each other for hours on end.

So maybe talking to her would at least help him, mend his own inner guilt, so maybe, just maybe this was worth a shot.

"*sigh* yea sure," he said getting up and setting right up. "It's just, When I think about home, I think about all the people I've left behind, I think about My only two friends and how they're dealing with me being gone, and how worried they must be."

Anne looked at Peter with a sad smile. "Yea, I know how that feels, I've been thinking big a lot about my family recently, and I hope that at least doing okay, I haven't exactly been the easiest person to deal with." She admitted sheepishly.

"Now that is an understatement!" Peter joked lightly.

Anne giggled at the joke. "Yea, but still I was kinda a brat, like a day we got that damn calamity box, the only reason I got it was because of my friend Sasha, making it me steal! And on my birthday too!" She said face-palming at her own ignorance.

"Yea, and sorry that I got us stranded here in the first place." Peter apologized.

"Dude it wasn't your fault, I mean, one of us was bound to open it one way or another." She said trying to soothe his guilt.

"I know, I know, it's just that our families are worried sick about us, and... I just don't know what to do." He said solemnly.

Anne noticed this and scooted closer. "Hey, it's okay not to know what to do." She said with a smile.

Anne could tell that despite the mask he too was smiling. "Thanks, Anne, that means a lot."

Sprig who was watching from his telescope was cheering. "It's working there connecting!"

"So anyways, tell me about your aunt." She asked.

Peter turned to her and faced her with an unsure look. "I don't know, secret identity and all."

"Dude, you work with Tony stark one of the most powerful men in the world, I'm pretty sure he'll take care of anything that threatens you," Anne said before raising her eyebrow. "Besides you just told me a lot of personal stuff about you dude."

Peter silently cursed himself, but oddly enough he didn't regret the decision, maybe telling more to her more would be a good idea.

"Ok so my aunt may is-" peter suddenly felt his spidey senses tingle, he got up quickly and looked around.

This caused Anne to get up. "Dude, what's wrong?" She asked looking at him, before realizing why he got up which in turn caused her to panic slightly. "Wait is it your-"

"Something grabbed Anne by the shoulders and lifted her up into the air. "AAAAHHH" she screamed in fear.

"ANNE" peter yelled in panic as he immediately got up and looked up at what got Anne, what he saw made him freeze in fear.

What he saw was a man that he thought he wouldn't see for a long time. A fight with a letter jacket and pants, and a pitch-black helmet that obscured the features of his face, but his green piercing eyes were still visible showing all of their malice staring down the teen superhero, but his most striking feature was his large wings that were gliding him, Peter knew who this was, it the one and only-

"vulture!" He shouted in shock.

"Glad you remembered Parker!" The vulture said seething with venom.

"WHAT THE HECK!" Sprig screamed in panic at what just seen. This immediately alerted Polly who dropped the book she was reading.

"What happened?" She asked startled.

"What's all the ruckus?" Hop pop asked rubbing his eyes as he was awakened from his sleep due to all the screaming.

"Anne is being held hostage by a giant vulture thing!" Sprig answered.

"WHAT?" Polly and hop pop yelled both now equally as panicked as sprig. All three ran up to the window and saw the vulture holding Anne by the shoulders high in the sky.

Hop pop looked on in fear, this creature looked vaguely familiar to a creature, a creature that he hated. He then narrowed his eyes and ran out of the room. Without saying a word.

Sprig and Polly noticed this. "Hop pop, wait up!" Sprig said as Polly got on his head to follow their grandfather.

Spider-Man and the vulture were having an intense stare-off, with Peter trying to figure out how the vulture was even here. But that didn't matter right now, what mattered was to find a way to save Anne.

"T-Toomes what are you doing here?!" Spider-Man asked getting into a fighting stance.

"Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing," Vulture said as his talons gripped Anne's shoulders tighter causing her to grunt in discomfort. "But I believe you've got bigger problems right now peter.

"Hey Let me go you creep!" She said as she started to struggle from his grasp.

It wasn't clear to tell but Peter knew that vulture was smirking. "Oh, this one's a fighter!" He said looking down at Anne. "But I wonder if she's strong enough to survive a fall this high." He said loosening his claws and making Anne yelp.

"ANNE!" peter yelled. this wasn't good, one of his enemies was somehow here and was holding his friend hostage.

It was at this moment that planters came running and standing next to Spider-Man staring at the vulture.

"Uh, spidey is this that vulture guy you talked about a few days ago?" Sprig said pointing at the vulture.

"Yeah, but I have no idea how he even got here," Peter answered as he raised his arm preparing to launch a web.

"Oh, so this is the family you've been staying with, lucky you that must be really nice, hey do they know who you are Parker? That behind that mask is nothing but a scared little boy looking for- GAH!" He grunted in pain as Ane flipped over and kicked him hard in the stomach.

But unfortunately for Anne, this caused the vulture to release her from his grasp. Causing her to plummet to the ground.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!" She screamed in fear as she was falling.

"ANNE!" Everyone yelled as they ran up to save her. Spider-Man already thought out an idea so he acted fast.

He shot out a web at the disorientated vulture sticking the long sticking to him and swung himself to Anne which carouse the vulture to get pulled down,

mere moments before she could hit the hard pavement, she was caught by spiderman with one arm holding her and the other holding the web. "Ha, I got you-" but unfortunately before he could finish the momentum from the web caused both he and Anne to trip on the ground rolling.

The planters came up to the two teens. "Oh gosh! Are you kids alright?" He asked concerned as he helped up Anne. With sprig and Polly picking up Spider-Man.

"Yea, I think we're fi-" but before he could finish he suddenly felt his spidey senses tingle, he immediately looked up to where the vulture was, and to his horror, he saw him charging at them, like a bull seeing a red cape.

"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT YOU LITTLE BRAT!" He yelled angered.

Peter saw the incoming attack and immediately grabbed sprig and Polly. "EVERYONE LOOK OUT!" He yelled getting everyone's attention as everyone saw the vulture flying fast at them.

Luckily everyone dodged the attack and jumped out of the way. Peter gently dropped sprig and Polly to the ground, as he got into a fighting stance ready for the vulture as he came flying past them again,

This time Spider-Man shot out two webs which latched themselves to the vulture's shoulders, the vulture closed in on the spider-man swiped his razor-sharp claws at him but Spider-Man jumped over and landed on the ground, and swung the vulture by the webs onto a tree bashing his body against it.

This caused the vulture to hit the ground, but he didn't let up as he got up and tried to read his wings again, but before he could Spider-Man came and punched him in the chest making him hit his back against the tree. Then he punched his helmet making it crack.

The vulture having enough of this, dodge one of Spider-Man's punches and clawed Spider-Man's chest. "Gah!" Spider-Man stumbled back from the siring pain giving the vulture enough time for a roundhouse kick spider man n the chest making him fall on his back.

"You know what your problem is Parker." He said walking towards a still recovering Spider-Man "you always let people in, which is why it's always so easy to hurt you!" He was about to pick up a Grenade from his belt when Polly rammed into his gut making him clutch his stomach in pain. "What the?" He then noticed Polly.

"Take that you-you. Metal butthead... yeah," she shouted before hopping away.

"Eh, stupid kid! I'll shred you to pieces!" He said trying to lunge at Polly but was suddenly pulled back. "Gah! What?" He said as looked behind him seeing both hop pop and sprigs tongue latched onto his jet pack wings.

"pull!" Hop said with a lisp as he and sprig latched their tounges to Adrian's back managing to dislodge one of the wings from its socket. Vulture's eyes widened as he noticed this so he grabbed the tongues got them off his back and swung them off of him.

"Gah!" Both hop-pop and sprig grunted as they hit the payment. They both struggled to get up as the vulture set his eyes back on his prime target. "Alright now let's- huh WHAT!" He shouted as he noticed that the arachnid was gone, but he couldn't get enough time to think as once again he was struck by an attack from behind his helmet cracked again as turned to see Anne holding a large bolder and glaring at him.

"LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE!" She shouted as she bashed the side of her head with the bolder. Braking the side of his visor revealing the side of his face.

Anne froze as she saw the hateful glare of the old man. "Stay out of this!" He said his voice dripping with venom. causing Anne to freeze in fear, she had encountered many dangerous and horrific monsters during her time but this... this was something else.

Before she could think more of it she was given a backhand to the face. Making her drop to the floor.

The battle-damaged vulture then stood tall in front of Anne who was staring at the vulture in fear. "You're going to pay for that, you little runt!" He said as he raised his razor-sharp claws. "You know what, just to send a message that brat! I'm going to rip you limb from-" he then suddenly turned back and looked around.

He turned his gaze back to Anne "For a second there I thought one of your stupid friends was going to do another attack from behind me and I get interrup-" He was interrupted when he felt arms around his torso leave him up. As Spider-Man gave him a suplex that landed head-first breaking his helmet and revealing an old haggard beaten face.

"Agh! Damn it!" He grunted as he tried to get but a foot slammed on his chest. He then looked up to see Spider-Man glaring at him, he then picked him up and held him at eye level. Despite the pain that tomes were in he let out a smug smirk, "heh stupid kid! I meant what I said when I was going to kill everyone you loved." Spider-Man's eyes narrowed dangerously Then without saying a word he gave him a head butt knocking him out cold.

Spider-Man then looked around seeing everyone staring at him in silence. "That was so COOL!" Sprig said as he jumped around Spider-Man. Polly hopped up to him.

"I gotta say fighting a supervillain was pretty fun!" She said cheerfully.

"Yea that's gotta teach that old bag of bones!" Said hop pop as he glared at the vulture's unconscious form.

"Isn't that Pot calling the kettle black huh hop pop?" Sprig said jokingly. As hop pop rolled his eyes.

Spider-Man noticed that Anne seemed shaken up. So he went up to her, leaving the planters to talk about their victory.

"Hey, Anne are you okay?" Spider-Man said looking at Anne worried.

Anne turned to look at Spider-Man and noticed his worried look despite the mask. "Uh, yea just a little shaken up." She said with a wary smile.

"You sure we could talk about it if you want?" He asked.

"N-no, I'm fine really." She said waving the worry off.

Peter knew that look and he wanted to press on more on the matter, but it was late and everyone looked tired so he decided that he would take about with her tomorrow. "Okay, if you say so." He said reluctantly.

"Thanks," Anne said as she looked on in the distance, she was thinking about the hateful glare the vulture gave her, the look of utter hatred shook her to her core, but she knew that it wasn't towards her.

It was towards Spider-Man, she didn't know what he did to cause the vulture to hate him so much, or to go as far as to attack her and the planters.

If this was one of his supervillains, what are the others like, how will they attack this time, are they in even more danger than before... was it alright to be close to Peter

She shook her head at the thought, she didn't want to think of a friend like that, especially since he had not too long ago just told her everything he was feeling. It just wasn't right for her to think that way.

But despite that. There was still a feeling in the back of her head that this was only the begging. The begging of something bad, And that thought made her rethink.

She didn't know what to do.

Those thoughts didn't leave Anne as she and Peter went to bed, Anne was wide awake as Peter was getting his bed ready.

She glanced at Peter thinking about what to say, what really could she say, she even considered just keeping quiet.

But it was eating at her and she had to say something, so without another thought, she decided to speak out.

"Uh, spidey." She asked wearily

"Yea puffy hair?" He asked jokingly but noticed Anne's downcast look. "Uh is everything okay?" He asked concerned.

"Um is this type of thing normal for you?"

Peter was kinda caught off guard, not really thinking that Anne would ask him something like this.

"Well... yea. That's the life of a superhero." He said as he continued to set up his bed.

However, this answer didn't satisfy anyone. "Um is it okay if you sleep somewhere else tonight?"

Peter immediately stopped what he was doing and turned to Anne with a concerned expression."w-what?" He stammered.

"W-well it's just... I just want to be alone for a while. Is that okay?"

Peter looked at Anne and could see the tears starting to form in her eyes. He immediately understood why. "Oh yea it's fine, I'll just get my stuff and go."

He then got his blanket and pillow and walked up to the basement door opening it but before he left he looked over his shoulder at Anne.

Anne was looking at her blanket clutching it hard. Not looking at him with her lip quivering.

Peter looked on with a guilty expression knowing that they would most likely not be on speaking terms for a while.

So without saying another word her walked out of the basement and closed the door behind him.

Anne looked at the spot where Peter last was then turned back to look at the floor.

Then broke down crying.
