Ozpin looked at Glynda while tilting his head. He squinted his eyes. Took the cup of tea she was drinking and sniff it in order to search for any kind of hallucinagetics.
"I'm not crazy Ozpin." Goodwitch said before ripping the cup of tea of the man's hand.
"Well, I'm sorry if the story of a group of interdimensional beings isn't exactly realistic." Ozpin said while raising an eyebrow. "Glynda, I have told you before that I was looking into the situation with Mister Arc, there was no need to believe something like this from happening."
"I thought the exact same thing before I saw it with my own two eyes." Glynda said with a frown. "And it is not like you haven't told me anything preposterous."
Ozpin looked at her with a warning look. This was no place to discuss such a thing.
"Can we play it already?" Ruby asked the two glaring adults who made a motion of the hand in order to inform her to put the damn tape in already.
"So, who was the girl you were hanging out with the Saturday?" Blake asked Jaune all of the sudden.
The two of them had been left alone by their teams because of how slowly they were eating, the akward silence had settled in quickly and the first thing she asked was that.
"Ohohohoho!" Yang laughed. "Since when do you like gossiping this much?"
"It is like Jaune thought, that was the first thing that came to my mind." Blake said with a neutral expression. "That and I wanted to make sure Pyrrha still had a chance."
'So no one is going to question that we just read someone's intent.' Ozpin thought while deciging that if this was natural then there had to be no problem. But something else was worrying him, even if the idea of not believing of this was clear to him a question surfaced.
'If this is real, then they are watching us right now?'
Immediately Jaune began to choke with his food after hearing that line, he then began to hit his chest so violently that he could feel the eyes of Mini Suu being directed at him with worry.
Ozpin blinked, he then proceeded to clean his glasses in confusion. "Is that sentient water?"
"She seems bigger." Goodwitch said in surprise while turning to look at the students, ignoring the confusion of the professor.
"Yep." Nora said with a wide smile. "Mini Suu apparently lives in the room… And Jaune almost killed her as well."
"That is a… remain of one of the dates." Weiss explained the headmaster. "It seems like her species could reproduce asexually so that is the end result."
"I… see." Ozpin said, the entire story slowly becoming more and more realistic by the second.
*Cough* "Ho-" *Cough* Jaune finally managed to swallow the piece of stake, he stopped talking to take some deep breaths while making a motion to Blake telling her to wait a seconds while he recovered. "How did you know?" He asked as coolly as he could.
*Snort* "Smooth Vomit Boy." Ruby said with small smile.
"I went down to Vale to… Buy a new book." Blake said while avoiding his gaze. "And I saw you hanging out with this blonde girl. Who was she?"
"I was hanging out with my sister." Jaune quickly answered.
"A good lie taking in count that they do look smiliar." Weiss said, trying to make a distraction in order to avoid question to her faunus friend.
"Miss Belladona why do you look so nervous about such a normal activity." Ozpin asked the suddenly nervous girl.
Weiss' attempt didn't work.
"You almost killed yourself when I asked you about the girl, I don't believe you." Blake quickly retorted. "Who was she?"
"Why did you go to Vale the Saturday?" Jaune shot back. "I know it is something common for us students but not for you, also Ruby told me that you have certain obsession with a certain group, were you perhaps searching for them?"
Harsh looks from the teachers were thrown towards Blake.
"I can explain." Blake quickly said.
"Please tell us then, Miss Belladona." Goodwitch said with her usual harsh tone. "Why are you conducting an investigation we precisely asked you to stop?"
"…I get that, but this is my reponsability." Blake said with a determined expression.
"I see." Ozpin said while looking at his coffee. "So you were the one that organized the attacks of the White Fang."
Blake blinked in surprise. She wasn't expecting that at all. "No I-"
"Well then, so you were the one who encouraged the White Fang's change into violence." Ozpin said while letting out a small laugh.
"No, but-" Blake tried to talk once again.
"Then how?" Ozpin said with a frown. "How is it that among all the people in Remnant you are the one who has to take care of the White Fang. Not your parents, not us teachers, not the police."
"But no one is doing anything!" Blake shouted in an attempt to reason with the man.
"Miss Belladona." Ozpin said with a flat look. "While I understand that in the outside it may seem like we're doing nothing in reality all of us are doing our best, but unlike you we will not let it affect our personal lives, like for example stop handing homework or lose every fight in combat class."
"Which takes us to our second point." Goodwitch said, before lifting a notebook into the air and throwing it towards Blake. When the object hit her she didn't react at all, but after a few seconds she shook her hands as if trying to push something away. "You need sleep, tour reflexes are already dead and if you get into a real fight then you're going to get killed for sure."
Blake stared at him, he could almost feel her eyes penetrating his very soul, yet he refused to give in to the intimidation.
"Did you have fun with your sister?" Blake asked all of the sudden while taking a bite from her fish.
"A lot." Jaune answered while taking a bite of his steak. "Are you enjoying your new book?"
"It is pretty interesting." Blake answered.
"Jeesh." Nora said trying to deviate the tenson in the room to somewhere else. "You two are really being passive aggressive to each other."
"I was angry for the threat." Blake said with shame in her voice. "I'll apologize once we have finished seeing this."
And just like that the conversation had changed to one that for outside eyes would seem like something natural but in reality it was two people trying to constantly open holes in their alibis.
"I'm sure Jaune will want to apologize as well." Pyrrha said with a small smile.
"Gabriel!" Jaune shouted while entering the Bullhead. "We need to ta- Raziel?"
"Oh hey Jaune." Raziel said with a friendly tone, he had made appear a table and a mace of cards, right now he was playing solitaire. "Want to join?"
"Who is he?" Both Ozpin and Goodwitch asked Ozpin had received a profile of how Gabriel and Metatron looked like and Raziel looked nothing like the descriptions given to him.
"We were going to tell you but you two kept arguing." Ruby said causing the two teachers to exchange guilty looks.
"He is Raziel." Pyrrha decided to be the one to explain. "He doesn't seem aggressive and up until now he has been shown to be friendly, but…"
"You don't know if his friendly attitude is real or fake." Ozpin said causing the students to nod their heads.
"…It is a game of one." Jaune answered without thinking.
"I mean… yeah. But I'm kind of stuck so I would rather change to blackjack before I flip this table." Raziel said while pointing to the table in specific.
Ruby looked at Yang.
"It was only one time sis." Yang said in self-defense.
"I was sitting on the table!" Ruby exclaimed with small frown.
"Don't test him." Gabriel said from the driver seat while eating a bag of peanuts. "This would be the fifth table in the time we wait for you."
"Hmmm." Ren hummed with a small smile. "He reminds me of someone."
"Who?" Nora asked causing Ren to chuckle. "I don't get it."
"They seem to be taking this lightly." Ozpin said while looking at his students.
"For what I have seen the viewing haven't been that negative." Goodwitch explained the headmaster. "Without Metatron around it seems like the ambiance had completely changed, from when I was here."
"So what are you doing here?" Jaune asked Raziel with curiosity.
"Oh come on Jaune, you're making it seem like you don't want me around." Raziel asked with a voice that sounded genuinenly sad. "But to answe the question is that I'm here to either give you letters or receive letters, so..." He exnteded his hands towards Jaune. "Gimme."
"He has a bit of a childish streak, doesn't him?" Goodwitch said with a fond smile.
"He likes to joke a lot." Ruby explained to the teacher. "He also seemed... Weird for a few seconds."
"Uh, sure." Jaune said while pulling out the letter he wrote for Juvia and one he prepared for Jeanne. "Here it is, by the way, is there any requirement to keep contact with the girls?"
"Sure, you need a score of fourty or more." Raziel explained. "Metatron wanted the score to be of fifty or more but I inssited that friends needed to keep contact with one another."
"To get a fourty means that she considers you a friend." Weiss explained to the headmaster before handing her notebook to him. "I have been taking notes of the whole thing, if youb desire Professor you can read them in order to know more."
"Thanks Miss Schnee." Ozpin said while taking the notebook from the girl's hands
"Thanks." Jaune said while smiling, before turning to see Gabriel. "By the way, can I start telling the girls I'm from another universe?"
"Sure." Gabriel said without hesitation. "Just be careful with who you tell it to. We don't want another interuniversal tyrant going around in an attempt to conquer it all."
"That's one less problem." Weiss said while letting out a relieved sigh. "Wait, what did he say about there being a tyrant?"
"Hmmm, well I cannot deny that the possiblity exists." Goodwitch said with a thoughtful expression. "Just like there had been bad people in our wolrd it is pretty obvious that there will be in other worlds."
"Once this is done I will need to talk with Mister Arc about this matter as well." Ozpin muttered, he really wasn't aniticipating the appearance of a possibly eviler and more powerful version of Salem suddenly appearing in the middle of Vale.
"Another?" Jaune said, nervous all of the sudden.
"Well, this could actually help give you a more detailed explanation of the dangers of Aura." Gabriel said while turning his chair around. "You see in the past there was this evil wizard who wanted to conquer it all, so he invented a spell that allowed him to travel through universes so that he could control other worlds."
"So what happened to him?" Yang asked with curious disposition.
"Just wait a little." Blake told her partner. "He was about to tell it to us."
"He however didn't know was that there was a magician called Zeltrech, a man who was increidbly more powerful than him." Raziel continued the story his expression suddenly getting serious. "The wizard had decided to apper on top of a mountain in order to take hold of a vilalge at the base of it, he wasn't counting on Zeltrech being already though."
"A battle between wizards." Ozpin said in a nostalgic tone that left the students confused, but caused Goodwitch to kick his leg.
"Don't blow your cover, sir." She told the man who responded with a sharp breath.
"Both of them stared down to each other." Gabriel said, the Bullhead suddenly filling with tension. "And then they both attacked, compared too the spell of Zeltrech the wizard's magic was nothing but a show of lights, when both attacks met... two babies appeared out of nowhere."
"...What?" Jaune asked the tension suddenly dissapearing.
"What?" The people in the room said as well, all other thought leaving their minds the moment they heard this single sentence.
"You see when two super natural forces from two different universes meet each other they do not fully work well." Raziel explained. "Depeding on the two universes the effect was completely random. In this case the magic of Zeltrech's universe and the wizard's created two babies, they were lucky the collition didn't create a black hole. It could have also ended up with both spells cancelling each other out or one making the other stronger."
"I see." Ozpin commented. "So the way Aura interacts with forces from other universes varies. Like he said a spell that's supposed to kill a person could en up making Aura more powerful, or a spell that is incredibly weak and by no means would go through Aura can pass as if there was nothing in the way."
"Or something desastrous can happen, like he said a black hole could suddenly form, or an explosion that could kill both of them." Goodwitch said, surprise that it could reach this point.
"Or like in this example something completely weird." Nora said while imagining, her Aura suddenly become a bunch of bubbles, or her going to fight a dragon and its fire just bouncing off her. "I guess it can also be dangerous."
"If she is saying that." Blake commented.
"...Were the babies okay?" Jaune asked, this being his only concern at the moment.
"No." Raziel answered with a tense jaw. "Zeltrech would've done it but, he was so shocked that he accidentally let both of them fall all the way to the bottom of the mountain."
"Believe it or not the battle continued." Gabriel said, making Jaune's eyes widened in horror. "Zeltrech tried to stop it but the wizard just kept on attacking, even the most powerful spells from Zeltrech created babies when clashing against the spells of the wizard… Eventually Zeltrech won though."
The students and the teachers were silent. Everyone had reacted differently but there was something clear every single one of them was horrified at what had just been told to Jaune and by extension them.
"Those poor children." Weiss said while covering her mouth in horror.
"Good Oum." Yang said, her mind still not fully warping around what they had been told.
"I… I need to rest." Blake said with wide open eyes.
"But, so many death babies fell from the mountain that the village that lived at the bottom of it began to worship a none existent god in the belief that it was a warning from the heavens." Raziel sighed as he told the last part. "Those poor people, to see corpses raining from out of nowhere must have been terrifying."
"I'm not going to sleep well tonight." Ruby said while feeling like passing out.
"…Please take me to my date already." Jaune begged the two men while caressing Mini's head to comfort himself to what was just told to him.
"Please." The entire room said in agreement.
"Aye, aye." Gabriel said as he activated the Bullhead.
As the Bullhead morphed once again Jaune noticed that Raziel was gone. This time the vehicle was something that Jaune had been fairly used to ride in his hometown… A train wagon. When he turned to look at the place that Gabriel should have been at he saw nothing, was he in the front of the train or was he gone entirely?
"Huh. This is different." Ren said while consoling a sad Nora. "Generally Gabriel drives him around."
"Do you think he hijacked the train?" Pyrrha asked while holding her stomach in an attempt not to puke.
"Where is everyone?" Ozpin asked, he would have thought that Gabriel would simply transport Jaune to a train… And what was with the windows? All there was, was pure white like.
"I guess I have to get off when the train stops." Jaune muttered to himself as he saw the empty wagon from top to bottom.
"At least you aren't too behind in the brain department." A familiar voice asked, causing Jaune to turn to look at him in horror.
The horror that had been created by the story of the babies was gone. In the case of both Ozpin and Goodwitch they felt curiosity at the new voice that had just joined.
The students however felt completely different. The moment the voice appeared goosebumps could be felt, their heart had skipped a beat in panic and their pupils constricted and their hearing had gotten better all of the sudden.
They recognized that voice.
There sitting on the seat in front of Jaune was Metatron. But there were some differences to the last time he had seen him, his blonde and unruly hair had been tied into a pony tail and the robe he was wearing when they met had been substituted by ripped jeans, a shirt with a big c on the center and a black jacket. He was also wearing some sort of collar around his neck it had golden and black strips with an orange square on the center.
"…He looks way different than last time we saw him." Ruby noted, she had been so put off by the new appearance that her fear had disappeared.
"He seems to have some sort of resemblance to Mister Arc." Ozpin said which caused the students to look at him in shock. "I'm talking about the hair and… fashion choice. His facial structure is completely different."
"What's with the collar?" Yang asked, she was sure she had seen it somewhere before. In a museum perhaps? "It looks important."
"You're glaring a my collar way too much." Metatron said while passing his fingers over the piece of cloth. "I saw it and immediately felt nostalgic, this is part of an old life you know *Sigh* I wonder how Manhattero is doing."
"Manhattero." Weiss said while taking note of the name. "This name is different than the others."
"But for some reason that name sounds, okay with the other names." Blake said really not knowing the reason behind this.
"…You're different." Jaune commented at seeing the outfit of the man that had started all.
"Well of course." Metatron said while letting out a chuckle. "That form was what you saw me as, even now you are seeing a form that you're able to comprehend but I have altered it in order to suit my tastes better."
"His choice in clothing is… tacky." Weiss commented with an angry expression.
"I think it is the shirt." Blake said.
"No, it is definitely the ripped jeans." Nora said.
"The ponytail." Yang gave her opinion.
"Your tastes are horrible." Jaune commented while looking at those multicolored eyes.
"That courage is going to get you punished." Metatron said with friendly smile. "Right now you're nothing but an insect, so do well and remember your place unless you want to end up in bad shape before the date."
"Ah, so he is the one to threaten others with a smile in his face." Ozpin said, already hating the man.
"He has gotten more aggressive." Pyrrha said while tensing.
"I dislike it but at least it is only in the verbal side." Goodwitch said.
Jaune stared at the man with a dry mouth and tight fists. "What are you doing here?" Jaune asked in the most "polite" way possible.
"Mister Arc…" Goodwitch called for the man to behave, even though this was not only the past but in a completely different place.
"I'm here to talk with you about this." Metatron said while showing Jaune the screen of his scroll. More in particular it was showing the scores that Jaune had gotten. "You've gotten a lot of below average reviews."
"By the way." Ozpin said distracting the students from the man in the screen. "Raziel mentioned something about a fifty, what does that mean?"
"The reviews for Jaune in his dates." Ren explained while handing his own notes to the headmaster. "If there is something that isn't there then you should check Weiss' notes she has been attentive about the whole situation since the beginning."
"Was there a rule about getting below average reviews?" Goodwitch asked the students who shook their heads. "So just like he did before, he making rules to make things more difficult for Mister Arc."
Jaune just stared in silence, he had the suspicion that if he were to say something he would end up in a bad position.
"Not even trying to defend yourself?" Metatron said with false surprise. "Well, it is not like you can say much, can you?"
"Don't be so damn arrogant." Yang spat with anger.
Jaune once again stayed in silence refusing to say anything.
"Jaune, I'm going to implement a new rule, okay?" Metatron told the boy with a big smile in his face. "If you get a rating that is or below fifty in three dates in a row, then I'm going to punish you."
A chill went through everyone's spines when the word punishment was said.
"Fucker." Ruby muttered in a moment of pure anger.
"Except for his date with Jeanne and Juvia all his previous dates have ended with them just staying as friends." Blake said, anger and worry boiling inside of her. "He has no hopes of Jaune getting a big score here so he added just in time."
Jaune counted his dates before realizing something. "But I got a score of fourty in last two dates I had." Jaune said with widened eyes, he wasn't counting the score of his date with Jeanne because he suspected Metatron wasn't going to count it.
"It would be better for him not to know." Pyrrha said, she considered herself Jeanne's rival but she desired no harm for the girl in any way.
"That sounds like something YOU should be worrying about." Metatron said while letting out a chuckle. "But calm down please. I will not give you the punishment of being used to produce food for us; it will be something light like… I still don't know but I will think of something."
Jaune opened his mouth in order to replicate something just to blink and see an old woman sitting in front of him. All around Jaune there were people, some of them were even looking at him probably wondering where did the blonde kid had come from.
"Do you think he intercepted Jaune or did Gabriel made the deviation possible?" Nora asked all of the sudden.
"…While I would prefer to think of Gabriel as an ally." Ren said in a bit of a reluctant manner. "We cannot discard the possibility of them working together."
"We have to be careful." Ozpin muttered, while he wanted to have a chat with Gabriel he now realized that, that might not be able to happen, he still held his hopes though. 'I need to talk about Mister Arc's situation with them… And to see if we can ally ourselves with them to defeat her.'
'He really has something against me.' Jaune thought before the train came to a stop.
"They said that the other Jaune destroyed their food source." Yang said, surprising Ozpin and Goodwitch. "I get that they must be angry, but they don't have any right to treat Jaune like a toy just because of that reason."
"So… There was period of starvation in their world." Ozpin said to himself. "I can see a possible reason behind his hatred, but of course there is the chance that I'm wrong."
Jaune got down from the train and began to look around searching for the girl he was supposed to have a date with, according to the little archive that had been sent his way was the notice that they would meet right here.
"Uh, this world looks pretty normal." Pyrrha said, she was actually happy for this though, that meant that there had to be nothing in this world that Jaune couldn't take on in case of danger.
"Even though I already believed it." Ozpin said. "I'm shocked to see a place so different… Well not that different, but a place that looks kind of familiar yet so far away."
"Excuse me." A quiet and gentle voice said from behind Jaune. "Are you Jaune Arc?"
"Jaune's date is here." Ruby announced.
"Ten lien on she having horns!" Yang shouted in excitement.
"Deal!" Nora shouted in a desire to make some easy money.
Turning around Jaune saw a very pretty girl. She had long violet and incredibly beautiful big brown eyes. She was wearing a school uniform and sporting a kind and slightly shy expression. If Jaune had to be sincere if he had seen her in his home town he would have fallen head over heals.
"Another hottie." Yang said while ignoring Nora's poking. "I'll give you the ten lien later on."
"Seriously, why are all the girls that rent Jaune beautiful!?" Blake exclaimed in shock, why was it that suddenly all the girls that would have hundreds of followers were renting a boyfriend.
"Yep." Jaune said while trying to sound confident but failing much to his surprise. "The name's Jaune Arc short, sweet, ladies love it." After saying Jaune froze, oh good Oum he had done it again.
*Pffft* Ruby covered her mouth while shaking her legs like crazy. "HAhahahahah!"
"A-Are you okay?" Weiss asked Ruby, she had thought that the first interaction between Jaune and the girl had been a little funny but not that amusing.
"I-I'm fine." Ruby said while holding back her laughter. "It's kind of an inside joke. You would have need to be there when I first meat Jaune to understand it."
"Do they?" The girl asked Jaune without malice and a curious tone.
"Well… I know at least two who do." Jaune said quickly causing the girl to giggle a little. "Sorry for the corny introduction, what is your name by the way?"
"Jeanne and Juvia…" Nora noted before noticing something. "Hey! All the girls that like Jaune Jaune have J at the start of their names!"
"Huh." Pyrrha said in slight surprise. "I just noticed that."
"So that means that if this girl had J at the start of her name it will a guaranteed success." Nora said, being ready celebrate the welcoming of the next J in the JJJ.
"I am Kotonoha Katsura." Kotonoha said with a smile. "Tell me Arc-san, are you a foreigner?"
Nora looked disappointed, but then. "H, I, J, K." She began to recite before smiling. "K is after J! So logic dicatates that after two Js Jaune would conquer the heart of a girl with K in her name."
"So that means that he will conquer a girl with K and then one whose name starts with L?" Blake asked the girl while rising an eyebrow.
"Correct." Nora said.
Arc-san? Was that one of the way the people in this universe called each other? By their surname instead of their first name?
"Yes I am." Jaune said without thinking about it too much. He was sure she meant foreigner to the city or country not to the universe but he was sure it would still count. "I'm new to the city and while I know it is impolite to ask this right away Katsura-san, where do you want to go?"
"Good idea not to tell her about the other universes." Goodwitch said, happy with the agreement Gabriel's idea. She really didn't want the idea of reality that she possessed.
Kotonoha smiled at him. She had decided to take him to a place where he would expect a date to normally start, and ice cream shop.
"Pretty average place for a date." Weiss said, not disagreeing but neither was she excited at the idea.
"So neapolitan is your favourite flavor of ice cream?" Jaune asked in an attempt to start a conversation while eating his vanilla ice cream.
"I generally like mint more but I didn't see it here." Kotonoha said while eating her ice cream with a pleased smile. "How is the ice cream?"
"Why are you looking at her like that?" Ruby asked Pyrrha, who was squinting her eyes towards Kotonoha, it was almost as if she was suspicious of her.
"There is something about her that I don't like." Pyrrha declared. "It's not just jealousy. There is something wrong with that girl, something that… I cannot fully explain."
"Like all ice cream is, pretty freaking good." Jaune said while offering her a smile. "So, Katsura-san, I've been meaning to ask but why did you rent me?"
Kotonoha stayed silent for a few seconds, looking at her ice cream with a shy expression. "I wanted to see what having a boyfriend felt like."
"Uh?" Jaune said confused at the comment. Kotonoha seemed like a very pretty girl and someone incredibly kind why would no one invite her out on a date?
"Exactly." Weiss said. "But the problem is that a bunch of guys may put her in pedestal and assume that she is inaccessible."
"Right now she is venting isn't she?" Blake asked her team who nodded their heads in response.
"The girls in my class… For some reason spread rumors about me being a…" Even though she hadn' finished the sentence Jaune knew what she was about to say after all in his school back in his home town a very similar problem happened with a girl. "Because of that reason no boy wants to even come close to me."
"…Bunch of whores." Yang said without any hesitation causing Goodwitch to give her a warning glare, though it seemed to be an empty threat as if telling her to keep going if she wanted to.
"You seem, incredibly aggressive about this topic." Pyrrha said with some surprise, she still was distrustful about Kotonoha but she could now at least sympathize with her.
"Some girls at Signal tried to pull out this stunt on me." She explained.
"What happened?" Ren asked and decided to explain more in detail his question at the looks he received. "You said tried, which means they failed. What made them stop?"
"This baby." Yang said while flexing her arm.
"Well, you don't look like the kind of person that would insult someone so I will say it like it is, their a group of… Meanies?" Jaune tried causing Kotonoha to snort while containing her laughter. "I'll think of something later, well I assure you that no matter what karma will come for them, but really you shouldn't let it bother you that much, shows how much those guys know if they don't even try to see if the rumor is true… In a none sexual way I mean."
"Nice save." Blake said in a sarcastic yet no malicious tone.
"Katsura-san." Jaune said, before giving her a flat look. "I don't know what you think but saying something like that is one of the most effective ways to destroy a man's self-esteem."
"Am I the only one getting tired of the san thing?" Yang asked. "What does that even mean!?"
"It must be some sort of honorific." Ren said. "We used then in Mistral but ours are different. But if we take into account the politeness of Katsura, it most mean mister or miss in the case of Katsura."
"So they're constantly calling each other Mister Arc and Miss Katsura." Goodwtich said, she liked it those honorifics. So resectful.
"Ah no." Kotonoha said surprised that a simple comment would mean so much. "I mean… That for some reason I feel safe with you… Like no one will be able to harm me."
"Awwwww." Everyone in the room said… Okay Glynda, Ren and Ozpin smiled while Pyrrha's was quieter than the rest.
"That's is one of the sweetest things." Ruby said before realizing something. "This time Jaune will be able to pull through!"
"You're right." Blake realized as well. "Metatron will not have an excuse to punish him.
Jaune thought about it, it seemed like Kotonoha up until now had interacted only with people who had been insulted her because of jealousy, but there was something else that he wasn't sure about, like Kotonoha was in danger, or that she would be in danger.
"A completely different feeling than mine." Pyrrha whispered. She had identified the previous feeling and for some reason she felt like Kotonoha was the danger.
"Hmmm. Well, I'm glad to hear that." Jaune said with a smile. "If there is something you ever need help with then call my name. I will be there in an instant."
Kotonoha looked down to the ground, for some reason she refused to show her expression to Jaune. "Promise?"
"An Arc never goes back to his word." Ruby said with a fond smile. She needed to pull out Jaune out of this situation… And any other Jaune that might be in a similar situation.
"Calm down." Weiss told her leader. "We'll find a way to get rid of Metatron and everything will be okay."
"Promise?" Ruby asked the heiress while extending her pinkie.
"Promise." Weiss said while shaking Ruby's pinkie.
"Promise." Jaune said while giving her a smile.
Both girls looked at each other with amused smiles.
The time passed with the two of them talking about different topics. To what school they went to, apparently Kotonoha was going to somewhere called Sakakino Academy, it sounded Mistralian so he would probably ask Ren about the name. They also talked about their families, Kotonoha almost fell in shock when he told her about his seven sisters.
"Foreginers really are bold." Kotonoha whispered with a bright blush.
"T-That's just the case with Arc's parents." Weiss said in defense of the people of Remnant.
"Well, Mistralians are bold indeed." Ozpin joked while letting out a chuckle. "If you saw the things they write… But of course you live with Miss Belladona so you might have an idea."
"Don't even try it." Ruby said when she saw Blake open her mouth. "I have seen your books."
"Don't really think so." Jaune said while laughing a little. "It is just that my parents really do love each other." Jaune looked at Kotonoha and wondered if he should tell her about him being from another universe.
"E-Exactly that." Weiss said while ignoring Ozpin's comment.
He decided against it. This world seemed incredibly peaceful and he really didn't want to ruin the fun he was having with Kotonoha because of something like this.
"Do you know how to dance, Arc-san?" Kotonoha asked Jaune all of the sudden.
"That if he knows how to?" Ren said while letting out a chuckle.
"Why are you so smiley all of the sudden." Yang asked Ren her thirst for knowledge suddenly appearing.
"You'll have to wait until the dance." Nora said while giving a cheeky smile.
"I told you I have seven sisters right?" Jaune asked the girl who nodded. "Let me tell you something, each of them took in their hands the time to teach me at least one type of dance."
"Same reason he gave us" Pyrrha told team RWBY.
"Oh wow." Kotonoha said in surprise.
"Yeah, they did it in order for me to have confidence at the time of inviting a girl to dance." They of course wouldn't be able to take into account that their little brother was going to end up someone who was incredibly socially akward.
"I'm sorry for that." Ruby said, even though she hadn't done anything to have to apologize to Jaune.
"Pyrrha, you need to pull him out into the dance floor." Yang began to whisper to the red head in excitement. "Imagine how magical it would be for you to be his first date?"
"Ummm, I don't really know if Jaune would want to go with me." Pyrrha said, suddenly getting shy.
"Pyrrha, if you never ask you will never know." Yang told the girl. "Unless you want him to start calling you a bro you will have to start moving."
"…Speaking from experience?" Pyrrha asked Yang.
"Second crush."
"I see." Kotonoha said. "Ummm, in a few months there is going to be a school festival." Kotonoha said with a bit of an insecure date. "Is it okay to check a reservation with you for when that time comes?"
Pyrrha's ear shook a little, her attention had been increased all of the sudden.
"Sure." Jaune told the girl. "But why don't you invite someone during that time?"
"She already gave you the reason Vomit Boy." Yang said with some frustration.
"…I don't really think anyone would accept an invitation of me." She admitted with some sadness in her voice. "Because of that I want to make sure that everything is okay for when the day comes."
"I'm sure you will have a ton of guys asking you out." Jaune said while giving her a ressuring smile. "But if none of them fancy you then I will definitely go out with you to that school festival Katsura-san."
"Fearless Leader is doing what it needs to be done." Nora said before making a pose show her incredibly big muscles. "Like a real man should!"
"Since when are you this muscular!?" Weiss shouted, shocked at the sudden change the body of the girl had suffered.
"Since forever." Nora said while getting back to normal.
Kotonoha smiled at Jaune.
"When that time comes. Please make good of your promise."
The date ended after thirty more minutes of talking and bonding. When the time came, Gabriel appeared from nowhere and began to call for him using the horn of the car. He had to come up with the excuse of his bosses tracking him in order to keep both himself and the client safe so that she didn't suspect a thing.
"She seem sheepish enough to believe whatever lie, so I wouldn't worry." Blake said.
After entering the taxi Jaune pulled out his scroll, and just like he had guessed the notification that his review had just been given appeared on the screen.
'6.4 Arc-san was an incredibly kind person. I don't know if I can make a reservation with him but I will try anyways.'
"That note means…" Weiss began ready to give the answer.
"Kotonoha Katsura has a crush in Jaune Arc." Ozpin said while handing the notes back to Weiss. "This are some pretty well made notes Miss Schnee. Make sure not to lose them."
Jaune smiled at the review. He right now had two promises, to go with Kotonoha to the festival and to wait for Jeanne to confess her feelings to him. Sincerely he couldn't wait for either of them.
"Well that was a pretty heart warming viewing." Ozpin said while streching his arms a little. "Would you seven mind if we stayed here for a but longer?"
