Once Minas Tirith had recovered from the battle that had raged before them and all the damages of war undone, it was finally time for the return of the king. It was a Midsummer Day as the people of the White City lined the courtyard for the coronation. Gimli bore the crown to Gandalf upon a burgundy pillow and the wizard slowly raised the crown from its resting-place into the air, above Aragorn's head as he knelt before the wizard. Slowly lowering it onto the King's head, those gathered erupted into applause. Gandalf proudly proclaimed, "Now come the days of the king." Smiling upon Aragorn as he arose the wizard said softly, "May they be blessed."

Looking out over those in attendance he spotted Faramir alongside Éowyn and Éomer, the new King of Rohan. Closing his eyes he began to say with conviction, "Et Eärella Endorenna utúlien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta!" I am come. In this place I will abide and my heirs, unto the ending of the world!

As he descended the stairs to the courtyard the elves from the Mirkwood approached lead by Legolas. Looking to the new King and Queen of the Woodland realm, a thought struck his heart. There was one person who was not in attendance that brought sadness to his heart upon this day of new beginnings. As the elves approached and he moved towards them he said in a quiet manner, "Na le seere, selde en Mirkwood." Be at peace, daughter of Mirkwood. Sadness too filled Legolas and Galuwen's thoughts at his words, which they barely heard due to having been spoken in such a soft manner, but they all knew all to well who that was said for.

Placing his right hand upon Aragorn's shoulder and Aragorn placing his right hand upon the elf's shoulder he said, "Hannon le." Thank you. as Legolas bowed his head in return. Galuwen stood alongside the new King of the Mirkwood and they joined the others as another processional of elves came in behind them. When the last of the elves from Mirkwood had moved to the left side of the courtyard, there stood Elrond with Galadriel, Celeborn and many elves from Lothlórien and Rivendell. The sceptre of Annúminas rose up behind them bearing a white sheer banner with the crest of Gondor upon it. The elves parted as the sceptre was brought forth to the front and when Aragorn brushed back the sheer material and took it from the hands that bore it hence he found himself face to face with Linwelos. For a moment he thought he was seeing a ghost and momentarily was stunned. As she bowed her head to the new King of Gondor he placed his hand under her chin and brought her eyes to his as he saw a smile form upon her face.

He looked upon her smiling face as his hand brushed across her cheek before lowering his head to hers as the two embrace and kiss for the first time in many years. Those in attendance cheered and applauded as they watched the two together. Linwelos laughed joyfully and a wide smile set Aragorn's face as the two of them were reunited once more before they kissed again as Elrond looked on smiling at spectacle before him.

Watching Linwelos and Aragorn share their happiness for one another was the group from Sunnydale, who quietly blended into the crowd.

"I just love happy endings…" Anya replied as she gave a smile to the happy couple. Suddenly she felt a gentle hand take hers. Looking up she saw Xander.

"So do I," he replied as he moved closer to her, placing a soft kiss upon her lips.

A little out of breath when the two pulled apart Anya whispered, "Do you want to, um?"

Angel stood behind Buffy, his arms wrapped tightly around her. All thoughts had fallen away from the one who'd betrayed them.

Spike was alive, but reduced to a bloody heap. Pulling the sword from his chest he moaned in pain, as he was lying on the edge of a large black hole that once was Mordor. The sky became alight with energy once again when a giant bolt of lightening scorched the clear blue sky. Another bolt hissed down to the earth, striking the injured vampire and causing him to disappear from the earth.

Back upon the seventh level of Minas Tirith, Buffy, Angel, Willow, Xander and Anya stood watching the ceremony when each of the five were struck in the back by the bolts of electricity splitting from the sky; each of them disappearing into thin air.

"Le abdollen." You're late., a voice called out to her. As she looked past where she and Aragorn stood she saw Galuwen and a soft laugh escaped her as she replied, "Nan im kuila." But I'm alive.

Galuwen looked upon her friend, whom she hadn't seen since she'd left Rivendell. She knew their paths were drifting away from one another. Linwelos would stand by her king till whatever end. In her heart she always knew that Linwelos would make a good queen. Looking to her left she saw the pride in Legolas' eyes as he watched his friend come into true happiness. However she too must now sit upon a throne alongside Legolas since her prince was now a king, and it would take death before she would ever leave his side again.

As Linwelos and Aragorn walked past, she stopped before her friend and said, "This is not the last time we shall meet Galuwen." giving her a hug before returning to Aragorn's side.

"I'll see to that your highness." Galuwen replied.

"Le turinqui an le ista." You're a queen too you know. Linwelos replied.

"Im il maara an na turinqui." I am not fit to be a queen. Galuwen said looking over to Legolas then saying, "Nan im aniron hilya ho an mettar en' Ambar." But I would follow him to the ends of the earth.

Looking at her two friends one last time she took the arm of her king and began to walk to their throne when Galuwen suddenly yelled, "Ten nuru ar alkar!" For death and glory!

Stopping and turning to look to where Galuwen stood she whispered in reply, "Ten nuru ar alkar." For death and glory.

"Come Galuwen," Legolas called.

Like Linwelos, she took the arm of her king and with the other elves, left with the hope that they would one-day return.
