Teen Titans Beyond
Before you read: This chapter will have some elements from the Teen Titans Go! Comic "Metamorphosis", however there will be some huge differences.
Terra Firma
It was a bright and sunny morning in Jump City, but all was not as peaceful as it seemed, for something dangerous was taking place. In a construction site, the Titans were fighting Steamroller as he went on a rampage of destruction through the city. He glared at the Titans angrily while they stared back at him fearlessly, ready to fight as they stood their ground.
Robin pointed his finger at Steamroller as he said, "This is a construction site Steamroller, not demolition!"
Steamroller put his arms together to form his roller and placed it on the ground before revving up the treads in his feet. He zoomed toward the Titans at high speed but the Titans scattered and avoided being flattened as he missed.
Beast Boy and Cyborg watched him move as Beast Boy asked, "You want to give him our new combo move?"
Cyborg kept watching Steamroller as he said, "Nah, we don't need it. We can take him pretty easy."
Robin watched before he ran after Steamroller while saying, "Cyborg's right, we can handle Steamroller."
Steamroller stopped and stood up as he separated his arms and turned around, only for Robin to throw three explosive discs at him. They exploded when they hit him but Steamroller only grunted in anger as swung his arms toward Robin and tried to smash him. Robin jumped out of the way and Steamroller only smashed the pavement where Robin once stood. He looked up as he was hit with a few starbolts and pushed backward, then he looked to see Starfire flying toward him. He swung his left arm back at her and swatted her away as he sent her crashing through a wall as he snarled angrily. Suddenly some piles of bricks encased in Raven's dark energy were hurled at him and smashed against him, knocking him back toward dump truck. He looked to see Raven floating in the air while Beast Boy stood underneath her and they both looked back at Steamroller. He grunted angrily as he lifted the dump truck off the ground, though he had some difficulty holding it up since he had no hands.
Beast Boy watched with an amused smile as he joked, "Dude looks like he could use a hand."
Steamroller then threw the dump truck at them but Beast Boy turned into a bird as he and Raven flew out of the way. Beast Boy flew behind Steamroller and changed into an Ankylosaurus as he swung his clubbed tail at his back and knocked him away. Steamroller fell face down on the ground but got back up as he turned around and raised his arms in fury as he stared at Beast Boy. He revved his treads and zoomed toward Beast Boy and tried to smash him with his arms, but Beast Boy turned into a hummingbird and flew over him. Steamroller was suddenly blasted from behind by a blue sonic beam and sent crashing into a wall.
Cyborg held up his left sonic cannon as he happily exclaimed, "Booyah!"
Steamroller climbed out of the hole and gritted his teeth as he glared at Cyborg, when Robin and Beast Boy came at him from his left. Beast Boy was charging toward him as a T-Rex while Robin rode on his back as he threw some flash bombs at Steamroller, temporarily blinding him. While he was blinded Beast Boy rammed him and swung his T-Rex head up at Steamroller, knocking him away and sending him tumbling on the ground. He was flat on his back when his eyesight returned and he looked up to see Starfire flying straight down toward and the last thing he saw was her fist as she punched him in the face. Sometime later the Titans gave Steamroller to the police, as they restrained him with heavy machinery and started to transport him.
The Titans watched them leave as Robin proudly said, "Nice work team."
Beast Boy smiled with his arms folded as he said, "No sweat. Steamroller's not much of a fight."
Cyborg had his fists on his sides as he smiled and agreed, "Yeah. Dude's tough but he's no match for us."
Robin looked at the others as he solemnly said, "What matters is that we stopped him from hurting anyone and causing any trouble."
Beast Boy fanned his right hand then pointed his left thumb to the side while he said, "Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna go hang out for a while."
He started walking away while Robin said, "Okay Beast Boy, we'll see you back at the Tower."
He glanced back at them as he said, "Okay, see ya."
The others left while Beast Boy started walking on the sidewalk with a big smile on his face as he looked around. He suddenly stopped and stared in shock as he saw a blonde-haired girl with blue eyes who he immediately recognized.
A smile appeared on his face as he said, "Terra!"
Opening theme song
Beast Boy watched as Terra walked down the sidewalk carrying books in her arms as she turned around a corner.
Beast Boy happily followed her around the corner as he said, "Hey Terra! Terra!"
He stopped when he caught up to her and found two boys with her, wearing uniforms from the same school as her.
He was surprised as he said, "Oh, I didn't know you were with friends."
One of the boys smiled as he pointed at Beast Boy and said, "Hey look! It's the Titans' pet!"
Terra smiled at Beast Boy as she assured, "He's just joking Beast Boy."
The boy smiled mockingly as he said, "Yeah, where were the Titans be without their little green sidekick?"
The other boy laughed and smiled cruelly as he said, "Yeah, the Titans' freaky little animal sidekick! Where would he be without his friends to protect him? He's not even human!"
Beast Boy looked hurt as the two boys started laughing at him while Terra assertively said, "Guys leave him alone."
One of the boys glanced at Terra before smiling mockingly at Beast Boy as he said, "Sorry. I didn't mean to insult the Titans' little animal sidekick."
The boys started laughing again as Beast Boy said to himself, "Animal sidekick?"
Later, Beast Boy was in his room at Titans Tower as he stared in his mirror and said, "Animal sidekick?"
Beast Boy and Cyborg were standing in his bedroom doorway as Raven said, "Beast Boy just let it go already."
Cyborg looked sympathetic as he said, "Yeah man, those guys were jerks. Don't listen to them."
Beast Boy kept sadly staring at his reflection as he sulked and said, "Who am I kidding? They're right, I'm nothing but a joke! No girl would want someone like me, I'm not even a person! I belong in the zoo!"
Starfire walked in and held him for comfort as she said, "No! Beast Boy, you do NOT belong in the zoo! You belong with us! You are our friend!
Robin walked in and sincerely said, "Starfire's right Beast Boy. You're a Titan like the rest of us. You're not a joke."
Beast Boy looked at all of them as he asked, "Oh yeah? Then how come you guys always make fun of me?"
The others said nothing as they looked at each other and Raven and Cyborg showed guilty expressions as they realized he had a point.
Beast Boy sadly looked at his reflection as he said, "I knew it. I'm a freak."
Robin folded his arms with a serious expression as he said, "We may make fun of you but we're still your friends. Just because two jerks made fun of you doesn't mean they're right. You shouldn't let them get to you."
Beast Boy glanced at them as he said, "You don't get it. I've been hearing that kind of stuff my whole life. Ever since I turned green and got my powers."
The others were all surprised by this when they started to show sympathy for their green animalistic friend.
Cyborg walked in and sincerely said, "Look B, we make fun of you a lot, but we're just joking. It's not like we really think those things about you."
Raven walked in and honestly said, "You're a lot of things Beast Boy, but a freak is not one of them. You're weird and annoying, but you're also sweet, friendly, and helpful."
Beast Boy looked at her with surprise as he said, "Really?"
Raven showed a small smile as she nodded, and he smiled at them before frowning while he said, "Thanks guys. You're the best. But I still feel like those guys are right about me."
Before they could say anything else an alarm sounded and a red light started flashing as the Titans looked up with curiosity.
Robin then seriously said, "We're under attack! Titans go!"
The Titans immediately stormed off and hurried out the front door and gathered outside to see a large monster made of rock walking toward them.
Beast Boy stared at it in shock as he asked, "What is that thing?"
Robin narrowed his eyes as he said, "I don't know, but it just stepped on the wrong lawn!"
The monster made of rock looked at them with its glowing yellow eyes as roared and reached for them. The Titans scattered as Robin pulled out his bo and swung it at the creature's face, but he did not hurt it as swung its left backhand and knocked him away. Starfire caught him and then threw a single starbolt at the creature, but it didn't do much damage as it was still standing. It came stomping toward them when Cyborg blasted it with his right sonic cannon and made it stumble backwards. The creature suddenly held its arms up and slammed them down on the ground, causing a small earthquake and forcing rocks out of the ground, sending Cyborg into the air. Beast Boy charged into the creature as a Triceratops and sent it tumbling on the ground as small chunks of rock broke off its body. It got back up as Beast Boy charged at it again, but the creature swung its right first at the side of Beast Boy's head and knocked him away. Raven floated in front of the creature and encased chunks of earth in her black magic and hurled them at it. The creature held its arms out as its glowing yellow eyes shined brighter and the chunks of earth suddenly stopped in the air. Raven was shocked as she tried to move them with her telekinesis but they wouldn't budge as she started to struggle. Eventually the chunks of earth broke to pieces and Raven lost focus when the creature jumped at her, grabbed her, and threw her away.
The Titans regrouped around her and they all stared at the monster as Starfire said, "This creature is quite powerful."
Beast Boy stared at it in thought as he said, "Not only that but something about it seems really familiar."
Cyborg stared at the rock monster as he thought and said, "Yeah, but what is this thing? What does it want?"
Raven closed her eyes and focused her powers, then she opened them in shock as she said, "It's human!"
They all looked at her in shock as Robin said, "What?!"
She narrowed her eyes as she floated toward the creature with her eyes glowing white as she held her hands out.
Her hands were glowing with her black and white energy while she chanted, "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
The creature's body was encased in her dark energy when Raven moved her hands out to her sides and then ripped the creature's body apart. There was a human inside the body as the rocks were pried off of him and scattered while he fell to the ground.
He looked around at the rocks Raven pulled off and exclaimed, "What did you do?!"
Robin immediately ran at him and used his martial arts as he kicked his leg and then punched him in the face, knocking him on his back.
He sat up and held his leg in pain as he said, "Ow! You hurt my leg!"
He looked up as all the Titans gathered around this mysterious person and got a good look at him. He was a teenage boy with a build similar to Robin's, and he had short red hair and blue eyes. He wore a costume slightly similar to Kid Flash's; he wore a long yellow shirt with a belt and wristbands that were a brighter shade of yellow. He wore long tan pants with yellow bands around his ankles, he wore reddish brown shoes with matching gloves, and the top of his shirt had the same color over his shoulders and chest. He also had a mask of the same color over his face around eyes and it covered his ears as well as his neck. On his chest he had a large triangular logo that had the two letters "GF" inside it.
Robin stared at the boy with hostility as he demanded, "Who are you and why did you attack us?"
He glared at them as he answered, "My name is Geo-Force and I've come for my sister Terra!"
The Titans' eyes all widened in shock as their jaws dropped and they looked at each other while trembling. Later they were all in the ops room as Geo-Force sat on their couch while Raven used her powers to heal his leg.
She finished and he smiled gratefully as he said, "Wow! That's awesome! Thanks."
Raven looked at him as she replied, "You're welcome."
The other Titans were staring at Geo-Force as Beast Boy said, "So you're Terra's brother?"
Geo-Force spoke honestly as he replied, "Yep. She's my little sister. We're the prince and princess of Markovia."
Beast Boy was amazed as he said, "Terra's a princess?!"
Geo-Force looked down at the floor as he said, "Yeah. When we were younger we were both experimented on, which ended up giving us our powers. I wanted to use my powers to protect Markovia, but Terra had a harder time controlling hers and she was afraid she might hurt people instead. So she ran away from home and I went to look for her."
Starfire showed empathy as she said, "You remind me of myself before I came to Earth."
Geo-Force looked back at them as he said, "At some point I heard she joined you Titans, so I came here to bring her back home."
The Titans looked at each other before Raven said, "Uh… She's not really on our team anymore."
Geo-Force was surprised as she curiously asked, "She quit?"
Robin rubbed the back of his head as he nervously said, "Sort of. It's kind of a long story."
Beast Boy spoke up as he said, "I got this."
Over an hour later Beast Boy had finished telling the story about Terra as he said, "And we promised that we would bring her back some day."
Geo-Force stared at Beast Boy with his jaw wide open as he said, "Wow. I can't believe my sister did all that stuff."
Raven stared out the window in thought as she said, "Yeah, at first we all took it personally, but after what she did we all forgave her."
Geo-Force then stood up and clinched his fists as he angrily said, "Where is this Slade guy! I'll make him pay for what he did to her!"
Robin narrowed his eyes as he shook his head and pounded his fist while he said, "We haven't seen Slade in a while. We don't know where he is. But if he ever shows up again we'll be ready."
Geo-Force then looked back at Beast Boy like he was about to cry as he said, "So, are you telling me Terra is… Gone?"
Beast Boy moved his finger as he said, "No, I don't think so. A while back I met this girl who looked just like Terra. I visited her grave and noticed her statue was gone, so I know she's alive. I went to talk to her but she didn't remember me and it seemed like she didn't have her powers."
Geo-Force narrowed his eyes as he said, "Take me to her!"
Suddenly an alarm sounded and a red light flashed as they all looked around and Geo-Force said, "What's going on?"
Robin hurried to a computer and shut off the alarm as he typed on the computer and read something on the screen.
He looked at the others with a serious expression as he replied, "Trouble! Geo-Force, you wait here! We've got a criminal to stop! Let's go!"
He, Starfire, Raven, and Cyborg left while Beast Boy stayed with Geo-Force and sincerely said, "Sorry dude. We'll talk when we get back."
He took off running to catch up with his friends while Geo-Force stayed and folded his arms with an annoyed expression.
Later in Jump City
Citizens were running in terror, as were two people who worked for a bank as they ran away from an armored car that had crashed. The back doors were wide open as a man stood behind it and looked at all the money inside with his fists on his sides. The man had white skin and very white hair, as well as a large chin and he looked somewhat muscular. He wore a dark blue unitard that covered his chest, neck, and legs, but it had no sleeves over his arms and it had yellow rims around his shoulders and white square on his torso.
The man smiled victoriously as he stared at all the money and said, "I love when I do my banking!"
He was about to reach for the money when a birdarang flew past him and stuck into a pole in front of him.
He looked to see the Titans standing on top of a parked truck as Robin pointed at him and said, "Looks like you're in some financial trouble!"
They jumped off and ran to him as they stood in fighting stances while the man turned around and glared at them.
Beast Boy's eyes widened and he gasped in shock as he said, "You?!"
The man recognized Beast Boy and stared at him with a twisted smile as he said, "Little green one! So the rumors are true! You HAVE found a new team! How nice for you. This seems like a better group for you."
Cyborg looked at Beast Boy with confusion while he pointed at the man and said, "Wait a second, you know this guy?!"
The others looked at Beast Boy as he frantically explained, "He's an old bad guy I faced a few times back when I was with the Doom Patrol! He's one tough fighter!"
The man smiled cockily as he introduced himself and said, "Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man, at your service."
Raven eyed him as she commented, "Well that's a mouthful."
Robin glared at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man as he pointed at him and said, "I don't care who you are! We're going to stop you and send you to jail!"
Beast Boy suddenly grabbed his shoulder as he cautiously said, "Dude! Be careful! Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man is one of the most powerful villains the Doom Patrol have ever faced!"
Raven looked at the villain and was not impressed as she sarcastically said, "Yeah, he looks like a real scary threat."
Robin was not deterred as he said, "We can handle him."
Cyborg stepped forward and smiled at the villain overconfidently as he said, "Yeah, he doesn't look so tough."
Beast Boy looked at Cyborg while he pointed at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and urgently said, "You don't get it! He can do everything I can do and more!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled deviously as he said, "Your pet is right. You Titans have no idea what you're up against."
Cyborg did not listen as he smiled overconfidently and said, "I like surprises."
Cyborg charged at him and tried to punch him, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled evilly as he transformed his left arm into stone and grabbed Cyborg's fist.
Cyborg was shocked as he stared him in the face as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man grinned and gloated, "Fool! You should have listened to your little green friend. At least he knew what he was getting into."
His right arm looked like a gorilla's as he punched Cyborg and knocked him back as the others hurried to him. They watched Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man as his arms returned to normal while he smiled at them tauntingly.
Starfire was surprised as she said, "The strange man turned one of his limbs into stone and the other into that of an ape?"
Beast Boy looked at them as he urgently said, "Duh! That's why they call him 'Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man'!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man had an sinister grin on his face as he said, "That's right! Watch and learn!"
He transformed his right arm into several green roots and stretched them out toward the Titans, but they quickly scattered and dodged them.
Robin watched the roots move and looked at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man as he said, "Reminds me of someone else I once knew."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man retracted his roots and merged them together as he transformed his right arm into a small tree. His arm was now made of wood and bark that was tan white with dark brown sharp spines on it. He smiled evilly as he grew small fruits on the tips of his fingers, they looked like small black pumpkins as he detached them from his fingers and held them in his hand.
Beast Boy's eyes widened as he recognized the plant and hastily shouted, "Sandbox tree! Duck and cover!"
He quickly turned into a cheetah and sprinted to the side while the others watched him, confused by his behavior. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man threw the fruits at the Titans, who did nothing as they did not understand what they would do.
One was heading straight for Raven, prompting Beast Boy to turn human as he yelled, "Raven look out!"
He quickly turned into an octopus grabbed Raven with his tentacle and pulled her away before the fruit could hit her.
She pulled his tentacle off her as she said, "Let go of me! What are you-"
She was cut off when the fruit hit the ground and suddenly exploded like a grenade, sending pieces in every direction. Raven was surprised and the other three headed for the others as one hit Starfire and knocked her out of the air, Robin dodged the second, and Cyborg put his arms up only for the fruit to explode and knock him down.
Raven was surprised as she looked at Beast Boy as he turned human and she said, "Whoa! Thanks."
Cyborg got up along with Starfire and they regrouped as Cyborg said, "Fruit grenades? What's up with that?!"
Beast Boy looked at them all as he said, "Sandbox tree! It's poisonous and it grows fruit that explode!"
He was startled when Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man came behind him and sarcastically said, "Well aren't you smart."
Beast Boy turned as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man turned his left arm into metal and his hand turned into a large mallet. He lifted his arm up and prepared to smash Beast Boy, but Beast Boy turned into a hummingbird and flew out of the way. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's mallet missed him and smashed a hole in the pavement, then he ran at the other Titans and swung his arm at them. He successfully hit Cyborg and sent him crashing into a streetlight, but he missed all the others and looked up as Starfire flew toward him. She threw a couple starbolts at him but missed while her eyes glowed green and she prepared to fire her eyebeams. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man turned his head into that of a Dilophosaurus and spit venom in Starfire's face. It was in her eyes as she cried in pain, then he changed his legs into the legs of a kangaroo and jumped in the air. He came toward Starfire in the air and swung his mallet arm at her and sent her crashing to the ground before he landed on his feet. The others went to help Starfire as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man turned normal with his fists on his sides and a smug look on his face.
The Titans all looked at him as Robin said, "Not bad, but we'll still stop you."
He leered at them as he arrogantly gloated, "Foolish children! You are no match for me!"
Robin glared daggers at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and pointed at him as he bravely said, "We've fought and beaten way worse than you."
Raven stood next to him as she said, "I can vouch for that."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man was surprised as he showed an annoyed expression and said, "If you insist."
Then he transformed his entire body as his right arm turned into wood and looked like a tree, his left arm looked like that of a grizzly bear, and his legs and torso were made of rock. The only thing that was still normal was his head as he smiled evilly at the young heroes as they stared at him in shock.
Beast Boy spoke nervously as he said, "Told you."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man then yelled in fury as he charged toward them and prepared to attack again.
Commercial break
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man ran straight at the Titans and slashed his bear claws at them, only for them to scatter and dodge him. Robin pulled out his bo staff and swung it at him, only for Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man to block it with his wooden arm and then swung it and knocked Robin away. Cyborg came up behind Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and punched him away from Robin, but he got back up and smiled evilly at Cyborg. He then transformed his legs into those of a Velociraptor's and turned his head into a Triceratops as he ran at Cyborg swiftly and rammed him with his head, knocking him away. He looked up to see Raven floating in the air as she had a large chunk of concrete encased in her dark magic, which she hurled at him. He smiled evilly as he sprouted bat wings out of his back and took flight before the concrete hit the ground and broke.
Raven was startled as she said, "You can fly?"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled smugly as he said, "I can do lots of things."
He transformed his tree arm into a Venus Flytrap and flew at her as he tried to bite her with it, but she avoided him and shot a ray of her black energy at him. He dodged it and changed his bear arm to where his arm was made of sand, he sent a vast amount of sand out and hit Raven as he knocked her out of the air. He smiled evilly until he was hit behind by some of Starfire's starbolts and he turned around to see her flying at him. He transformed his arm from sand into blueish white crystal and punched her with great strength, sending her crashing to the ground by Cyborg. Cyborg watched as she hit the ground and then Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man looked down and turned his Triceratops head human. Cyborg activated his right sonic cannon and blasted at him, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man dodged it and shot large razor-sharp crystal shards from his arm. Cyborg cried in shock as he jumped back as the shards hit the ground in front of him, getting stuck in the pavement.
Cyborg was impressed as he admitted, "Okay, this dude's tougher than I thought."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man flew down and landed as he said, "You ain't seen nothing yet!"
He retracted his bat wings and Cyborg got up and charged at him, only for Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man to dodge him and transform his Venus Flytrap arm into an electric eel. He bit Cyborg with it and shocked him, causing Cyborg to fall to the ground dizzily as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man watched sadistically. On his crystal hand he turned his hand into a large curved blade of crystal and raised as he prepared to stab Cyborg.
Suddenly he heard Beast Boy shout, "Hey!"
He turned around only to see Beast Boy charging at him as a rhino as he rammed Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and knocked him away from Cyborg.
He tumbled on the ground before getting back up as Beast Boy turned human and angrily said, "Stay away from my friends!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man shot more crystal shards at Beast Boy, but he changed into an eagle and flew over him. Then Beast Boy turned into a gorilla and growled as he came falling toward him and tried to slam his fists on top of him, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man stepped back and dodged him. Beast Boy reached for him as he growled, and Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man changed both of his arms into an ape's and grabbed Beast Boy's.
He smiled evilly as he stared him in the face as he said, "I see you've toughened up a bit since our last encounter, but you're still no match for me!"
He punched Beast Boy in the face with his right arm and knocked him to the ground, but Beast Boy got up and turned into a lion. He pounced on Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and pinned him to the ground as he roared in his face, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man changed his head into a mandrill's and shrieked back at him. He threw Beast Boy off of him and got up as he turned his legs into stone and sprouted a monkey's tail as he jumped in the air and hung upside down from a streetlight. He looked down as Beast Boy stood on the roof of a car and then Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man swung with his tail and came falling toward him. Beast Boy turned into a fly and flew out of the way as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man cam falling down and smashed the car with his stone legs. Beast Boy flew behind him and became an octopus as he wrapped his tentacles around his upper body to try and restrain him.
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man grew irritated as he said, "Get off of me!"
He quickly changed his left arm into a crab claw and grabbed Beast Boy before throwing him off and onto the street. The other Titans came and watched as the two shapeshifters kept fighting as they proceeded down toward the waterfront. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man changed his crab claw into a metal arm with a mace where his hand should be. He ran at Beast Boy and tried to smash him, but Beast Boy turned into a kangaroo and jumped over him, so Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man only smashed part of the street. Beast Boy landed behind him and turned into a black bear as he slashed his claws at him, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man sprouted porcupine quills on his back. The quills hurt Beast Boy as he roared in pain when his paws hit them, then Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man turned his head into a bull's and charged at Beast Boy, ramming him and knocking him down. Beast Boy reverted to his human form as he groaned in pain, then Animal-Vegetable-Mineral turned his metal arm into several metal cables. He stretched them out like tentacles and grabbed Beast Boy as he held him in front of his face with an evil grin.
He stared Beast Boy in the face as he evilly said, "Just like old times eh? But this time nothing can save you!"
He transformed his right arm into a plant with sharp thorns as he prepared to finish Beast Boy, who screamed in terror.
Suddenly they heard Cyborg yell, "Nothing except this!"
He blasted Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man with his right sonic cannon as he forced him to release Beast Boy. He blasted him and sent him flying away and splashing into the water before he sunk, and the others joined Beast Boy.
Starfire helped him up as she said, "You are alright?"
He nodded as he said, "Yeah. Thanks."
He looked out toward the water while Cyborg victoriously said, "Ha! You see! He was tough but we kicked his butt!"
Beast Boy looked at Cyborg as he urgently said, "No we didn't!"
They looked at him with confusion as Cyborg pointed in the direction he went and said, "What are you talking about? The dude's sleeping with the fishes."
Suddenly an octopus tentacle came out of the water and hit Cyborg, knocking him down as more tentacles grabbed the railings. The Titans watched as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man emerged from the water with octopus tentacles instead of legs. His torso was made of wood, his right arm was made of crystal, and his left arm was made of metal with his hand turned into a mallet. His neck and head were normal except for gills he had in the sides of his neck that granted him the ability to breathe underwater.
The others were shocked as Cyborg said, "He can swim too?"
Beast Boy looked at the others as he exclaimed, "I told you guys! He can do everything I can do and more!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man then smugly said, "Like this!"
He fired crystal shards at them from his right arm at Raven, but she dodged them, then he swung his mallet hand but Robin, Cyborg, and Beast Boy dodged it. Beast Boy turned into a bird and took flight, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man watched him as he changed his mallet into the head of an archer fish. He then sprayed water at high pressure at Beast Boy, knocking him out of the air as he returned to normal. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled as he turned his octopus tentacles into a pair of humanoid legs made of rock. He walked over to Beast Boy and prepared to stomp on him, but he was suddenly hit by one of Robin's explosive disks. He turned to see Robin coming at him with his bo, which Robin swung at him, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man blocked it with his crystal arm. He then attacked Robin, who held his bow staff up to block, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man formed a sharp crystal over his hand and used it to slice Robin's bo in two. Robin was shocked when Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man squirted him with water from his archer fish hand, knocking Robin down. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's feet turned into those of an eagle and he sprouted bat wings out of his back as he took flight and grabbed Robin with his feet. He carried him up and laughed evilly as he flew high up with Robin hanging in his feet, suddenly he was hit by a starbolt. He dropped Robin but Starfire quickly flew under him and caught him before setting him down safely on the ground, then she flew back up as she threw a few more starbolts. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man turned his head and torso into crystal as the starbolts hit him, then he changed his crystal arm into a giant sea anemone. Starfire flew at him and he grabbed her with his anemone arm and stung her as she cried in pain before he threw her away. He threw her at Raven and they both fell on top of Cyborg as they all groaned before all five Titans looked at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man flying in the air.
He laughed at them as he gloated, "You kids are amusing, but I'm afraid I've got business to attend you. Be seeing you."
He flew away and the Titans watched him with vexed expressions, except Beast Boy who showed disappointment and sadness.
Later at Titans Tower
The Titans were in the ops room as Beast Boy sat on the couch sadly while the others talked and Geo-Force listened to them.
Geo-Force had his arms folded as he shrewdly said, "You got your butts kicked by some circus freak of a villain? Ptfft."
He turned to Beast Boy who looked up at him as he seriously said, "Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man is not some second rate bad guy! He's one way bad supervillain!"
Cyborg showed a serious expression as he admitted, "BB's right! That guy was way tougher than we thought he'd be."
Robin looked at the others with a serious expression as he said, "Which is why we have to find him and catch him before he does something else."
Geo-Force pointed his left finger at Robin as he firmly said, "And you guys still have to take me to my sister so I can bring her home."
Beast Boy stood up and put his hand on Geo-Force's shoulder as he sincerely said, "I'll take you to see Terra later. I promise."
Geo-Force smiled at him until Robin said, "But right now we have to deal with Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man."
Starfire was discouraged as she said, "But Robin, we do not know where he has gone."
Cyborg was uncertain as he said, "Yeah man, how are we supposed to find him?"
Suddenly an alarm sounded and Raven turned it off and looked at the computer as she said, "I think I know where to look."
Robin then pointed his finger out as he exclaimed, "Titans go!"
They started moving but Geo-Force stood in their way as he pointed his thumb at himself and said, "Wait! I'm going with you!"
They were surprised as Raven said, "Come again?"
Geo-Force eyed them stubbornly and pointed at them as he said, "The sooner this guy goes to jail the sooner I can find my sister. Plus, from the looks of things you guys need my help."
Beast Boy pointed at him as he urgently said, "Dude's right. We're gonna need help if we're gonna take down Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man."
Robin narrowed his eyes as he said, "Okay, you can come, now let's get out there and bring that crook to justice!"
They all hurried off, except Beast Boy who stayed behind for a moment with a nervous expression, then he took off running to join them.
Later in Jump City
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man was attacking a museum as he was fired on by the police with their blasters. They shot at him but he turned his head and torso into steel, then he morphed his legs into rock and jumped in the air. When he slammed down he caused a tremor that knocked the police off their feet, then he turned his right arm into several green roots. He stretched them out and lashed them at the police like whips, knocking them aside and into the wall as they were knocked out.
He turned his body back to normal and smiled evilly as he said, "Police, hardly a challenge but always good for a laugh."
He went over to the natural history section of the museum and approached a fossilized dinosaur egg under a glass case.
He smiled ambitiously as he stared at the egg and said, "With this specimen I'll finally be seen for the genius that I am!"
Suddenly one of Robin's birdarangs came flying as it knocked his hand away from the glass and he looked to see the Titans standing on the railing.
They all glared at him as Robin pointed at him and said, "Hands off the egg or you'll be the one who's extinct!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled at them arrogantly as he started to change while saying, "Children. You never learn."
His legs turned into tree trunks with roots for toes, his torso became a turtle shell, and his arms were now made of rock.
He clinched his fists and prepared to fight as he confidently said, "Ready to taste defeat again young Titans?"
Robin smiled deviously as he said, "Not quite. We have a surprise for you this time."
Suddenly a huge boulder stuck out of the ground under Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's feet and knocked him on his back. He got back and watched Geo-Force emerge from a tunnel in the floor and glare daggers at him.
Geo-Force kept glaring as he said, "Man, you are one freaky looking villain."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man got back up and looked annoyed as he said, "Oh great, another young do-gooder. I'll make this quick."
He came at him and yelled in fury as he raised his arms and prepared to smash Geo-Force, but his hands glowed yellow as he held them out. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man suddenly stopped and had his arms in the same position over Geo-Force, unable to move them.
He was shocked as he said, "What?! What's going on?!"
Geo-Force smiled as he smugly said, "My powers allow me to move earth, so I can control your arms right now."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man was impressed but smiled deviously as he said, "Not bad, but do you really think you can stop me?"
Geo-Force smiled as he overconfidently said, "Looks like I just did."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man grinned evilly as he changed his arms from rock into those of a gorilla and moved them again.
Geo-Force was shocked as he said, "What?"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man grabbed him and held him tightly as he said, "You just made your last mistake!"
Suddenly he heard Beast Boy yell, "Let him go!"
He looked at the Titans as they attacked him together; Beast Boy turned into a kangaroo and kicked Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man. He forced him to release Geo-Force and the other Titans quickly gathered around him as he turned his right arm into a sandbox tree. He grew those same fruits as before on his fingertips and then threw them at the Titans, who quickly scattered to avoid them as the fruits exploded when they hit the ground.
Robin pulled out two explosive discs and said, "Mine are bigger than yours."
He threw them both at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man, but he ducked as they exploded behind him as he ran at Robin. He hit him with his gorilla arm and knocked him aside before he tried to grab him with his sandbox tree arm, but Starfire flew at him and punched him away. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man landed on his back and glared at Starfire as she flew at him, but he morphed his legs into kangaroo legs and turned his gorilla arm into a crystal arm. He jumped at her and punched her as hard as he could and sent her crashing through a wall as she cried in pain.
Raven suddenly levitated behind Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and chanted, "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
She held her hands out and fired a ray of her black magic at him from behind, but he heard and jumped in the air. He avoided her ray and quickly sprouted hummingbird wings out of his back and hovered in the air before turning around. He shot crystal shards at her from his arm but she dodged them and shot some black lightning at him, but he dodged it as well. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man then flew at her and turned both of his arms into pythons and stretched them out. He wrapped them around Raven and they restrained her and started squeezing her tight enough that she couldn't breathe.
He chuckled as he smiled evilly when Cyborg yelled, "Yo! Get your snakes off of her!"
He aimed his right sonic cannon at him and blasted it, but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man flew sideways and avoided it. Then he threw Raven at Cyborg, who caught her in, then suddenly Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man flew at them as he changed his left arm into a human arm made out of gold. He punched Cyborg in the face and sent him and Raven flying away as he smiled victorious, suddenly he was hit by a large chunk of earth.
He got up to see Geo-Force glaring at him as he angrily said, "I'm about to send you six feet under!"
His hands glowed yellow as he made two large chunks of rock and concrete rise out of the ground behind him.
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled confidently as he said, "So you want to play dirty huh?"
Geo-Force hurled the two chunks at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man, but he swerved through the air and landed. He then turned his snake arm into several thick green roots, which he stretched down and dug into the floor, then he made the roots come out of the ground under Geo-Force. The roots wrapped around Geo-Force and restrained him as he grunted and struggled as they squeezed him tighter.
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled as he gloated, "It looks like you need to plant your feet."
He prepared to attack again when suddenly Beast Boy came in the form of a Pachycephalosaurus and headbutted him. He knocked him off his feet as his roots snapped and he fell down but got back up and looked at Beast Boy.
He showed an annoyed expression as he said, "Oh, the little green pet again."
His roots regenerated and merged them together to form a large arm made of wood, and when Beast Boy came at him again he knocked him aside.
Beast Boy slid and turned human as he got up and looked at his arm and said, "Australian Buloke!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled arrogantly as he looked at his tree arm and said, "That's right, the strongest wood in the world."
Beast Boy glared at him as he said, "Well can it handle this?"
He turned into an elephant and charged at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man again and managed to send him tumbling across the floor. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man quickly got up as Beast Boy came at him, but he changed his legs from kangaroo legs into redwood tree trunks. He grew them to make himself taller as he kicked the green elephant away and knocked him down as Beast Boy reverted to his human form. He groaned in pain as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man walked toward him and returned his legs to their normal length. He stood over Beast Boy and smiled evilly as he looked down at him and changed his legs from redwood into crystal. He raised his right foot over Beast Boy and prepared to stomp on him as small razor-sharp crystal shards came out of the bottom of his foot.
Beast Boy looked up at him in fear as he smiled evilly and gloated, "You can't beat me! You're so small, puny, and weak! You are nothing!"
Beast Boy tried to think of a good comeback but was too nervous as he said, "Oh yeah? Well… Shut up!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled as he sarcastically said. "Nice one. Goodbye."
He prepared to stomp on Beast Boy but he was hit by a starbolt and knocked away from Beast Boy and he looked to see Starfire floating over him.
Her eyes glowed green as she floated over Beast Boy and angrily said, "Beast Boy is NOT worthless! You are the one who is weak!"
She threw a few starbolts at him but he dodged them and then turned his wooden arm into an arm made of sand. He then stretched it out and grew his arm and hand to large size and slammed his sandy fist at Starfire and knocked her out of the air.
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man pulled his sandy arm back to its normal size and was tired as he said, "Enough of this! I'm taking what I came for!"
He used his golden arm to smash the glass case and then he took the fossilized egg and smiled at it ambitiously.
He looked back at the Titans as they watched him and he gloated, "Bye kids, thanks for the fun."
His hummingbird wings changed into eagle wings as he flew away with the dinosaur egg and escaped.
Starfire helped Beast Boy up and Geo-Force watched where the villain fled before looking at Beast Boy as he said, "That circus freak was tougher than I thought he'd be. Thanks for the save back there Beast Boy."
Beast Boy briefly smiled as he said, "You're welcome."
Robin had a serious expression on his face as he said, "We have to stop Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man. Something tells me he has something bad planned for that egg."
Beast Boy hung his head in sorrow as he sadly said, "No. You guys have to stop him."
The others all looked at him in shock as Cyborg said, "Say what?!"
Beast Boy started walking as he sadly said, "You guys have to fight him without me."
Robin was shocked as he said, "Beast Boy we need you."
He looked back at them with disappointment and said, "I can't help you guys. He's right about me. I am nothing."
Starfire shook her head as she solemnly said, "No Beast Boy. That is NOT true! You are not nothing. You are brave, strong, and true."
Beast Boy waved his arms, held them out, then pinched his finger and thumb together while he said, "Helloooo! Did you see what just happened?! He was this close to taking me out! I couldn't beat him! He's too strong!"
Cyborg spoke sincerely as he said, "So he kicked your butt, that doesn't mean you're not strong enough. You were right about him, he's one tough bad buy. He kicked all our butts but we're not just gonna stand by and let him hurt people."
Beast Boy looked away as he sadly said, "Sorry guys. I can't do it. I'm not good enough. I may be a Titan but I'm no hero."
He turned into a bird and flew away while Raven held her hand out and shouted, "Beast Boy come back!"
He was already gone and Geo-Force looked at the others as he solemnly said, "Don't worry. I'll go talk to him."
Robin gratefully responded, "Thanks. See if you can talk some sense into him. We'll go after Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man."
Geo-Force cocked his eyebrow under his mask as he asked, "How are you planning on finding him."
Robin smiled proudly as he held up a device showing a dot on a screen as he said, "I put a tracker on him during our fight. I know exactly where he's going."
Geo-Force smiled and nodded and then his hands glowed yellow as he lifted a large rock out of the ground and rode it as he flew through the sky. Robin and the others then turned and hurried in the direction Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man fled as they started tracking him. Beast Boy flew back to Titans Tower and Geo-Force followed him on his flying rock as he went to talk to him.
Later at a bio-engineering facility
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man flew down and landed in front of a building as he reverted to his normal human form.
He smiled evilly as he stared at the facility and then looked at the fossilized dinosaur egg he stole and said, "At last the time has come! Now I can put my genius to good use and lead the world in a new era of evolution! I will show all of the world the true genius that I am and earn my place in history! No one will ever stand in my way again!"
Suddenly a birdarang his hand and he looked to see Robin and the others standing on a nearby rooftop as they all glared at him.
Robin kept glaring daggers as he defiantly said, "You should really stop speaking too soon."
He looked at them with an annoyed expression as he said, "I'm getting tired of you children. It's time we end this!"
Cyborg pounded his fist as he said, "Finally something we can agree on!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled maniacally as he transformed and grew to over twenty feet tall as the Titans watched. His right arm, leg, and the side of his torso turned to wood, his left arm turned to rock, and he sprouted a second head, the head of a T-Rex. The T-Rex head was purple and so was the left side of his torso, and his left leg turned into that of a T-Rex.
He smiled down at the Titans as they stared at him while Starfire said, "I believe this is quite freaky."
Cyborg cringed as he said, "No kidding!"
Raven stared at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man as she said, "He makes Beast Boy look normal."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled as he stood over them and lifted his T-Rex leg as he tried to stomp on them. The Titans quickly scattered to avoid getting crushed and Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled sadistically as he looked down at them.
Commercial break
The Titans charged as they battled Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and he stomped his T-Rex foot and tried to crush them. The Titans scattered and continued to fight him; Starfire and Raven were floating in the air while Robin and Cyborg were on the ground. Raven fired a beam of her dark energy at his chest but it didn't have much effect as he grabbed her in his wooden hand and threw her away. He looked and saw Starfire flying at him but he bit her with his second T-Rex head and then spit her out as she crashed on the ground. Robin threw three explosive disks at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's chest but he just glared at Robin as he tried to stomp on him with his T-Rex foot. Robin quickly pulled out his grapple and deployed it as he swung away before Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man could crush him. He watched Robin swing from a streetlight, suddenly he was hit by a sonic blast from Cyborg, who came running toward him. Cyborg jumped in the air and yelled in fury before punching him in the chest and knocking him over. Cyborg smiled until Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man grabbed in his rock arm and threw him away.
The Titans regrouped and stared at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled and gloated, "I see your little green sidekick and your rocky friend are nowhere to be seen. Perhaps they realized they are no match for my power."
Robin pointed his left finger at him as he fearlessly said, "We WILL stop you!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled deviously as he raised his rock arm and said, "So confident are you? Then perhaps we should turn up the heat."
The rocks that made up his arm started to change color as they turned from gray to black, and the spaces between them started to glow orange. He held his arm out and from his palm he sprayed a large amount of lava at them, but Starfire and Raven flew up while Robin and Cyborg jumped out of the way.
Cyborg stared at the lava on the street with a shocked expression as he exclaimed, "Yo! BB never said he could do that!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man clinched his molten rock fist with an evil smile as he said, "He never told you about the last time we fought did he?"
They didn't reply as they kept fighting as Starfire threw some starbolts at him, but he pulled his molten rock arm back and then threw a lava bomb at her. The lava bomb hit her and exploded and she cried in pain as it knocked her out of the air, then Robin and Raven came at him. Raven created a platform of black magic to give Robin a lift and he threw a disk at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's molten rock arm. The disc broke and ice came from it, cooling his molten rock into solid rock as he looked it with a vexed expression.
He looked back at them and admitted, "Well played."
Robin jumped off the platform and kicked Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man in his human face and jumped over him to avoid his second T-Rex head as it tried to bite him. He quickly reached his wooden arm and grabbed Robin as he threw her at Raven, causing both of them to fall to ground. Cyborg blasted Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man with his right sonic cannon twice as he came running at him. However, Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man smiled as he sprouted a stegosaurus tail out of his backside. He turned around and swung his spiked tail at Cyborg and sent him crashing through the wall of a nearby building.
Cyborg climbed out of the hole in the wall and angrily shouted, "Is that all you got?!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man changed his wooden arm into a sandbox tree and grew fruits on his fingertips.
He smiled at Cyborg as he happily said, "I'm just getting started."
He threw the fruits at Cyborg and he dodged them as they exploded, then Cyborg fired his right sonic cannon again. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man took the blast but stayed on his feet, then he turned his sandbox tree arm into a few thorned roots. He stretched them down and dug them into the pavement, Cyborg looked around as he heard a rumbling, then suddenly the roots emerged from the ground under him. They wrapped around Cyborg and restrained him before pulling him underground, then Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man pulled the roots back. He ripped Cyborg out of the ground and lashed him around before throwing him toward the other Titans. Cyborg crashed on the ground as Starfire helped him up, then they looked at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man as he smiled deviously. He transformed his wooden leg into steel and stomped his food, causing a massive tremor that made the Titans wabble on their legs. They almost fell over but stayed on their feet as Raven and Starfire floated up and they all looked at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man.
Robin narrowed his eyes as he shouted, "Take him down!"
The others all followed his lead as they advanced toward Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and he smiled as he prepared to counter their attack.
Meanwhile at Titans Tower
Beast Boy was sulking in his bedroom as he sat down and stared at his full length mirror in depression while Geo-Force watched him.
Beast Boy stared down at the floor before looking at the mirror as he sadly said, "I wasn't good enough. I'll never be good enough. I let my friends down and now they're doomed. He's right about me. They're all right."
Geo-Force watched him as he folded his arms then held them out while he said, "So that's it? You're just gonna give up? You can't do that!"
Beast Boy sadly looked at Geo-Force and said, "I tried my best but he still kicked my butt."
Geo-Force held his right hand out toward Beast Boy as he said, "Just because he beat you a couple of times doesn't mean he'll do it again."
Beast Boy stared at the mirror as he shook his head and said, "No! This isn't the first time I fought Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man. Last time I saw him was years ago and he almost destroyed me back then too."
Geo-Force put his arms down as he seriously said, "So he's tough, big deal. You're tough too. You've beat him before and you can do it again."
Beast Boy glared at him briefly before hanging his head as he sadly said, "No, the last time I faced him I had the Doom Patrol to help me."
Geo-Force held his palms toward him as he said, "But now you've got your friends to help you beat him."
Beast Boy just stared at the floor as he said, "I can't beat him. I couldn't before and I can't now."
Geo-Force stared at him with a serious expression as he said, "He may have beaten you in the past but you've toughened up a lot since then."
Beast Boy continued to hopelessly stare down at the floor as he said, "It doesn't matter. He can do everything I can do and he can do things I'll never be able to do. Face it, I'll never be as powerful as him."
Geo-Force spoke supportively as he pounded his fist and said, "You don't have to be, you just have to be tough enough to kick his butt."
Beast Boy looked up at the ceiling as he drooped his ears and sadly said, "I can't do it. I'm just a loser. Everyone knows it."
Geo-Force narrowed his eyes as he said, "You can't just give up Beast Boy! The others are out there fighting him and they don't stand a chance without you! You have to go and help them before that sideshow destroys them!"
Beast Boy rested his head in his palms as he slouched and said, "I'm not as good as them. They have a better shot of beating him than I do."
Geo-Force stepped forward and fiercely demanded, "Did you give up when Terra needed you?!"
Beast Boy was shocked as he looked at Geo-Force and narrowed his eyes as he said, "No! I never gave up on her!"
Geo-Force pointed his right finger to his side as he fiercely continued, "Then why give up now?! Get out there and show that maniac who you are! Your friends are in trouble and they need you! Are you just gonna sit down and let that bad guy hurt them?!"
He stood up and clinched his fists as he seriously said, "No! I'm going to try my luck!"
Geo-Force smiled proudly as he said, "That's more like it."
Beast Boy pointed his right finger at him as he said, "But I'm gonna need you to help me."
Geo-Force clinched his fist enthusiastically and said, "You can count on me!"
Beast Boy smiled and said, "Sweet! Come on!"
He turned into a bird and flew down the hall while Geo-Force ran after him with a smile on his face as they went to help the others.
Back in Jump City
Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire were still battling the enormous two-headed Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man. He turned his left arm into diamond and shot crystal shards at Raven, but she encased them in her black energy and sent them back at him. He shielded himself with his arms and then turned his left hand into the head of a three-horned chameleon. He held his arm out and shot the tongue out at Raven's stomach and pulled her back as he bit the chameleon's mouth on her before throwing her away. Cyborg jumped at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man but he swung his left arm at Cyborg and knocked him away with the chameleon's head. Starfire threw a few starbolts at him but Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man formed Ankylosaurus armor on his back and turned around to block them. Then he turned and his right arm became a bunch of fines, which he stretched toward Starfire and wrapped around her. She grunted as she tried to escape but he slammed her through the wall of a nearby building with an evil grin on his face. Suddenly Robin jumped on the ground and threw a few birdarangs at his vines and cut them, freeing Starfire. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man let out a small cry of pain before glaring at Robin, then he fused his vines together and turned them into a metal arm with mace on the end. He came toward Robin and smashed the ground, forcing debris into the air and knocking Robin onto his back.
Starfire saw this and shouted, "Robin!"
She glared daggers as she prepared to attack until Cyborg came and yelled, "Yo Star! Cy-Fly!"
Cyborg jumped in the air as Starfire flew to him and grabbed him by his arms, then she flew at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man with blazing speed. She threw Cyborg at him with her superstrength and when Cyborg came flying at him he punched him in the chest as hard as he could. He sent the enormous two-headed villain flying back and crashing through a building as he fell down.
Starfire floated over Cyborg as he smiled up at her and said, "I always knew you were good at throwing punches."
Starfire happily giggled, but their joy was short-lived as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man climbed out of the hole and rubble and stared at them.
He glared at them before smiling maniacally as he said, "That actually hurt. Let me return the favor."
He charged at them, making the ground shake as he hurried toward the Titans and then he jumped in the air and slammed his feet on the ground. He formed a small crater and sent chunks of rubble into the air and knocked Robin and Cyborg down, then he swung his mace arm at Starfire. He sent her crashing into Raven and they both fell down by Cyborg and Robin, then all four of them looked up at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man.
He smiled evilly as he towered over them and said, "This has been fun, but all things must come to an end."
He raised his mace hand over his head and prepared to smash them when suddenly a large boulder hit him from behind and broke. It almost knocked him over but he remained on his feet before turning around to see Geo-Force standing on a floating rock with his hands glowing yellow.
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man looked annoyed as he said, "You again?"
Geo-Force glared daggers at him as he said, "That's right! Let's rock!"
He held his arms out and hurled large chunks of rock at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man, but he smashed two with his mace hand. He changed his chameleon hand back into crystal and turned his hand into a sharp crystal and used it to destroy the other rocks. He then lunged forward and smashed the boulder that Geo-Force was standing, sending him falling to the ground.
Geo-Force landed and rolled before getting back up and glaring at the villain as he said, "Okay, let's see how you like this!"
He stood up and his eyes and hands glowed yellow as he summoned a bunch of rocks and boulders that collected over his body. He created a monster made of rock over his body just like he did when he first fought the Titans.
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man showed an amused smile as he said, "Not bad. But let's see if you got what it takes."
Geo-Force's rock monster was half the size of Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man as he punched his legs and tried to knock him over. He managed to knock him on his back and then he jumped on his torso and smashed his rock fists on top of him. This caused a small earthquake and made him cry in pain until swung his mace hand and knocked Geo-Force off him. He got back on his feet while Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man did the same and transformed his metal arm into a bunch of roots. He stretched the roots down and dug them into the pavement, moved them underground, and made them emerge around Geo-Force. They wrapped around him and restrained him before ripping apart his rock monster body, exposing Geo-Force underneath.
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man retracted his roots and merged them into a wooden arm as he smugly said, "Nice try little man, but it's over!"
Suddenly he heard Beast Boy yell, "No it's not AVM!"
He turned to see Beast Boy standing ten yards away from him, glaring daggers as he had his fists clinched.
The others smiled as Starfire happily said, "Beast Boy!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man looked at him as he goaded, "Well if it isn't the little green freak."
Beast Boy pointed his thumb at himself as he said, "You're calling ME a freak?"
Cyborg agreed as he pointed his left finger at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and said, "Yeah man, have you looked in the mirror lately?!"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man ignored him as he stared at Beast Boy and said, "I thought you finally got smart and gave up, but it looks like your dumber than I thought."
Beast Boy kept glaring at him as he pointed at his friends while he seriously said, "I'm here to kick your butt! I don't care what you or anyone else says about me! You mess with my friends you mess with me!"
Before anyone could do anything else, Beast Boy started running toward him and turned into a T-Rex as he rammed Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man.
He knocked him on his back and Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man got up and said, "Okay, let's what bravery gets you!"
He swung his mace hand at the green T-Rex, but Beast Boy morphed into a Gigantopithecus and dodged his attack. He ran toward Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and climbed up his body as he tried to bite him with his second T-Rex head. Beast Boy avoided him and then morphed into a Titanoboa and wrapped his body around Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and squeezed him tightly. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man tried to break free as he stumbled around and grunted while his T-Rex head roared. He used it to bite Beast Boy's giant snake body and pull him off, then Beast Boy slithered on the ground and turned into a Therizinosaurus. He slashed his long claws at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's chest, leaving big scratch marks on it.
He cringed in pain and looked at Beast Boy as he said, "You're strong but it will take more than that."
He gaped in shock as a shadow was cast over him; Beast Boy turned into a Brachiosaurus and stood on his hindlegs as he raised his front legs. He brought them down on top of Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's torso as he forced his body down and drove Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man down into the pavement. Raven smiled while Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, and Geo-Force all happily cheered for Beast Boy while he stepped off of Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man. He lied on his back in a hole as he shrunk to his normal size and groaned in pain as he retracted his T-Rex head. He sat up as Beast Boy morphed into a skunk in front of him, turned around, and sprayed him as he screamed in horror.
The others all shuddered and Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man furiously yelled, "That's it! You're done!"
He tried to grab Beast boy with his wooden arm but Beast Boy turned into a hawk and took flight while Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man watched. He sprouted dragonfly wings out of his back and flew after Beast Boy as he chased him high into the sky. He transformed his wooden arm into a Venus Flytrap and tried to bite Beast Boy with it, but Beast Boy was too fast as he pulled ahead in the air. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man kept chasing him as they flew over some buildings and he turned his metal arm into crystal and shot some projectiles at him. Beast Boy dodged them before turning through the air and morphing into a Quetzalcoatlus and flying toward him. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man let out a cry of shock as he hovered in the air and Beast Boy tried to bite him with his beak. He turned and flew away while Beast Boy chased him and they both descended lower in the air while approaching the bay. Beast Boy came close to him and tried to bite him when Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man quickly turned around and punched the side of his face with his crystal arm. He sent Beast Boy crashing into the water as the others hurried to the waterfront and watched with concern. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man landed in front of them, behind the railing, as he smiled victoriously at the water and retracted his wings.
He turned to the rest of them and turned his crystal hand into a large shard as he said, "Now for the rest of you."
Before they could do anything Beast Boy emerged from the water as a Spinosaurus as he grabbed Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man in his mouth. He screamed in shock and fright as Beast Boy turned his head and threw him away, into the water. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man surfaced and saw the green Spinosaurus swimming toward him to attack.
He showed a vexed expression as he said, "You just won't quit, will you?"
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man descended under the water and transformed his head into that of a hammerhead shark. He also grew a dorsal fin out of his back and both of his legs turned into small trees with roots for toes. His torso turned into hard coral and he sprouted a shark tail out of his butt as Beast Boy swam toward him as a Spinosaurus. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man tried to stab him with his crystal arm but Beast Boy turned into a sailfish and swiftly swam around him. He swam away as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man pursued him underwater when Beast Boy suddenly turned into a colossal squid and wrapped his tentacles around Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man. He dug the hooks of his tentacles into the softer parts of Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's body as he cried in pain, but he turned his Venus Flytrap arm into a lobster claw. He pulled the green colossal squid off him and on his crystal arm he turned his hand into a porcupine fish, which inflated and stuck its spikes out.
He swung it at Beast Boy like a mace but Beast Boy turned dodged it, then Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man turned his entire arm into a jellyfish tentacle. He lashed it at Beast Boy and tried to sting him, but Beast Boy turned into a dolphin and swam away as Animal-Vegetable-Man turned his lobster claw into a metal arm and tried to punch him. Beast Boy was too fast as Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man pursued him through the water and came close to him. He turned the forearm of his metal arm into the front half of a swordfish and slashed it at Beast Boy, but he dodged it as he jumped out of the water. He turned around and rammed him in the chest with his bottlenose; Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man tried to sting him with his jellyfish tentacle again but missed as Beast Boy swam away. He followed Beast Boy as he lead him back toward the city before swimming deeper down until he was out of sight. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man prepared to swim after him but stopped when Beast Boy came swimming up toward him as a Pliosaurus. He grabbed Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man in his mouth and kept swimming up; on the waterfront the others watched for any sign of them.
Beast Boy breached out of the water in front of them as a Pliosaurus and jerked his head as he threw Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man back toward the city. He landed on the street and groaned in pain as he sat up and watched Beast Boy jump out of the water as a dolphin and change into a cheetah as he landed on his feet. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man glared at him as he turned both of his arms into bear arms, retracted his shark tail and dorsal fin, his torso became rock, and his hammerhead shark head turned into a rhino's head. He charged at Beast Boy, who sprinted toward him, but when they came close Beast Boy changed into a sasquatch and slammed his fists on his head. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man got up as Beast Boy stepped away and he turned his left arm into a bunch of vines and stretched them toward Beast Boy. Beast Boy then turned into a hippo and bit the vines as they came at him, and he ripped the ends off and ate them while Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man cried in pain.
Beast Boy turned human and smugly said, "Dude, I'm a vegetarian. Plants are a snack for me."
Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man turned his right arm into metal and said, "Well maybe you should get some iron in your diet."
He tried to punch Beast Boy but he dodged him and morphed into a Chalicotherium and slashed his claw at him.
He knocked Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man on his back, but he furiously got up and shouted, "Enough!"
He grew to over twenty feet tall as his legs turned into elephant legs, his torso became crystal, his right arm was a small redwood tree, his left arm was steel, he had the head of a lion, and an Ankylosaurus tail sprouted from his butt.
He looked down at Beast Boy as he furiously said, "Give up boy! You could never beat me on your own!"
Beast Boy turned human and smiled as he proudly said, "Then it's a good thing I'm NOT alone."
The others gathered around him and Beast Boy pointed his finger and shouted, "Rob, Star, blind him!"
Robin quickly threw one of his flash bombs at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and the others closed her eyes as Starfire threw a starbolt at it. The flash bomb exploded when the starbolt hit it and made a bright green blinding light that caused Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man to cover his eyes and scream in pain.
Beast Boy pointed at him again as he shouted, "Raven, Geo, hold him down!"
Raven's eyes glow white as she encased part of Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's body in her black magic while he was still blind. Geo-Force's eyes and hands glowed yellow as he used large chunks of earth to trap Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's feet.
He grunted as he struggled and Beast Boy smiled deviously at Cyborg as he said, "Cyborg, rocket horns!"
Cyborg smiled at him as Beast Boy turned into a fly, and Cyborg grabbed him in his right fist, careful not to squish him. He pointed his fist at Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man and activated the thrusters in his arm as he sent it flying toward him with Beast Boy riding in the fist. Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's vision returned as he saw Cyborg's arm flying toward him, then Cyborg's hand opened as Beast Boy emerged from it as a Triceratops. He crashed into Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man's body and knocked him over as Raven and Geo-Force released him. Beast Boy turned into a bird and flew while Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man crashed on the ground unconscious. He shrunk to his normal size and then reverted to his human form as Beast Boy turned human and the others gathered around him.
Cyborg smiled and high-fived Beast Boy as he said, "Yeah! Booyah!"
Sometime later, the Titans gave Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man to the police and gave them the fossilized dinosaur egg he stole. They put a high-tech collar on him to keep him from changing and they put restraints on his arms as they loaded him in the back of a truck.
He took a seat and looked at the Titans as he angrily said, "You win this round Beast Boy, but you haven't seen the last of me! I'll be back! I'll get you and your little friends too!"
Beast Boy showed an amused smile as he called out, "Then I'll just kick your butt again!"
The police shut the doors and drove off and the Titans all smiled at Beast Boy as Robin said, "Way to go Beast Boy. You did it."
Cyborg smiled as he congratulated him and said, "Nice going BB!"
Starfire applauded as she said, "Indeed! You kicked the butt!"
Raven smiled as she simply said, "Good job."
He smiled at all of them and walked over to Geo-Force as he proudly said, "Thanks, but I couldn't have done it without you guys, or without you dude. You really helped a lot today."
Robin joined them as he gave Geo-Force a Communicator and said, "He's right. Here. You're now an honorary Titan."
Geo-Force accepted the Communicator and smiled in amazement as he said, "Whoa! Thanks! This is so cool!"
Robin smiled as he proudly said, "You're welcome. You deserve it."
Beast Boy smiled as he started walking and motioned for Geo-Force to follow while he said, "Yeah. Now come on. Follow me."
Beast Boy turned into a bird and flew off while Geo-Force's hands glowed yellow and he flew after him on a large rock. Later, Terra was talking with some girls from her school as they started laughing while Beast Boy and Geo-Force watched from around the corner.
Geo-Force smiled happily as he said, "That's her alright."
He just stood there and Beast Boy curiously said, "Aren't you gonna go talk to her?"
Geo-Force kept staring at Terra as he said, "No. Before I wanted to take her back home with me, but now I think I should just leave her alone. I've never seen her so happy."
Beast Boy watched Terra as he nodded and softly said, "Yeah."
Geo-Force smiled at Beast Boy as he proudly said, "And it's all because of you. Thanks Beast Boy. You helped me find my sister and you helped her find what she needed to be happy. You're a really great guy BB."
Beast Boy showed a flattered smile as he said, "Thanks dude."
Geo-Force put his wrists on his sides as he turned and said, "Well, I should get going."
Beast Boy held his hand out and pointed his right thumb to the side as he said, "Wait. Before you go, you wanna get a pizza?"
Geo-Force showed a friendly smile as he said, "Sure. That'd be great."
They both flew off through the city and Terra noticed them flying and let out a small gasp as she recognized her brother.
One of the other girls noticed Terra staring at them and curiously asked, "Are you okay?"
Terra kept watching Beast Boy and Geo-Force fly as she showed a warm smile and said, "Never better."

Author's note: This isn't my favorite chapter so far but it is pretty good. I wanted to have them meet Geo-Force and I wanted to have them fight Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man, so I put my two ideas together to make this. I don't know a whole lot about Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man so I thought up some of my own ideas to make him more powerful and dangerous so the Titans would have a harder time beating him. Some of the things I hade him do I got from Ben 10 and Spider-Man, but others I thought of myself. Please review.
