Spring Break was finally here, and everyone was packing up. Evie, Jacob, Elise, Arno, Eivor, Maria, and Aveline were all flying out Friday evening and Altair and they were flying out Saturday morning. It was currently Thursday.
"Hey Evie" Elise called out from her room "Did you say you made fancy reservations at a restaurant"
"Yes," Evie replied as she was stuffing her suitcase. She saw the reviews about the restaurant and figured it would be fun to do on one of their night "Dress nice everyone"
"I swear if Altair drowns me, I'm killing him," Maria said as she put her green bikini in her suitcase. All the girls laughed at that.
"That would be hilarious sorry!" Aveline laughed. She was nervous about this trip. Conner was going to be there, and she was also single now. She felt weird after the kiss, and she knew he did too. She still missed Gerald but if she was honest with herself, she had fallen out of love with him months ago. The girls packed up the rest of the night excited about the trip.
"Hey Eivor," Arno said looking at his suitcase and figuring out what they needed now. "Do you think we should get sunscreen now or where we are staying at?"
Eivor popped out of his room and into Arno's "Hmm probably now they might upcharge us"
"I guess we can run to the store" Arno shrugged "Hey Jacob! Do you wanna go to the store with us real quick" he called out.
"Yeah, hang on" Jacob replied. He had no idea what to pack and knew he might need guidance.
All three of them started their walk to the store. Alexios was currently with his siblings, but Jacob wished he could join them. They then made it to the cute little corner store. "Okay we need toiletries, sunscreen, maybe snacks for the flight anything else" Eivor was reading off the list on his phone.
"Ohh let's buy a lot of candy" Jacob proposed going straight to the candy section.
Arno sighed feeling how Evie feels "Jacob we need necessities, not candy" he then saw Jacob grab a crap load of candy.
Eivor then walked up "you better not puke that up on the plane"
"Relax I just need this the plane ride is four hours long" groaned Jacob.
"That's nothing compared to our road trip on Thanksgiving" Arno pointed out. He was still shocked Jacob sat twenty hours and did okay.
"Well anyway let's get what we need," Eivor said. He then got a bunch of Sunscreen for everyone. He knew he would need it with his pale skin he also figured the Frye twins would need it with the English genes they have.
The boys then got back and packed up. Luckily Eivor and Arno helped Jacob pack. It was much better than the Thanksgiving trip. Soon they had everything together and texted the group chat they were ready to go.
Friday was now here, and they were loading into Aveline's SUV. Thankfully they did not have as much stuff and were not in the car too long. After parking, they walked into the airport ready for the Bahamas.
"I need a fat Pina Colada" Maria declared as she put her bag through TSA.
"SAME" Jacob agreed. Everyone else nodded as they were herded through TSA. They finally got to their gate. It was decided Evie, Aveline, and Maria would all sit together. Arno and Elise would sit together and then Jacob and Eivor. Evie warned Eivor that Jacob would pee a million times. They all then finally got onto the plane. "I call window seat" Jacob pushed Eivor and got into his seat.
"Okay, I will sit in the middle" Eivor sighed. He did not want to sit next to a stranger. The girls then sat in front of Eivor and Jacob.
"Does anyone have a preference?" Evie asked. She did not want to annoy her roommates.
"I can sit in the middle" Maria shrugged. All the girls agreed and Evie got the window seat.
"Hello, Christmas Evie" Jacob leaned forward right next to Evie's seat.
"Don't annoy me" Evie huffed.
Elise and Arno then sat in front of Evie and them. "I want the window seat" Elise quipped.
"I'm cool with that as long as I'm next to you" Arno smiled. He could not wait to be at the beach with Elise.
"Gross" Jacob gagged hearing their conversation.
"Be nice" Evie snapped. After everyone was seated the plane took off. It was an evening flight so the plane was a bit quieter. Eivor ordered a drink and told Jacob to leave him alone while he watched his movie. Jacob was now bored, and it was only hour one.
Jacob leaned over and talked to Evie through the seat. She was reading "Hey Evie do you think we could end up on a deserted island like in lost and be dead the whole time"
Evie put down her book and then turned to Jacob "if we end up on a deserted island, I'm eating you first" She just wanted to read.
"Do you think we would taste the same since were twins?" wondered Jacob.
"What is wrong with you?" Evie exasperated. Maria started laughing. She loved watching the twins bicker. Aveline was currently passed out.
Just then Arno and Elise got up. "Ohhh, you joining the mile-high club" Maria wiggled her eyebrows and said that a little too loud. Several people turned and looked at the group.
"I have to pee," Elise said annoyed. She would never do that unless they were in first class. She was dying a bit in the economy, but she told herself she was enough. She then went to the bathroom.
Arno glared at Maria. "Be nice"
"Sorry" Maria apologized.
"What's going on?" Jacob asked putting his hand on Evie's seat and trying to see over all he saw was an annoyed Elise and Arno.
Evie then looked up at him "Maria made a sex joke about Arno and Elise, and everyone looked over"
"It was funny" Maria defended herself.
"I wish could have seen it" Jacob moped. Another hour went by and Jacob kept bothering Evie. Jacob then kicked her seat. Evie had enough. She then unbuckled and turned around.
"You touch my seat one more time I will kill you!" she threatened.
"Woah calm down" Jacob argued back. He was just trying to have fun.
A flight attendant walked up "Is something wrong"
Evie then composed herself and sat back down "No my brother is just annoying me sorry"
The flight attendant then walked wondering why they had to keep dealing with crazy siblings thinking of that weird Greek family from Christmas.
"Evie you might get us on the no-flight list" Jacob pointed out.
"If only" Evie replied. Finally, they landed it was late at night but everyone was up and ready.
"I can't wait for the ocean" Eivor exclaimed as they were all leaving the airport. He knew it would be nice and warm, unlike the Baltic Ocean. Everyone nodded. They then got a rental van to the house. Aveline's mom insisted they take one just in case and since there were so many people they needed a van. The house was beyond nice. It was on a private beach and dock. It also had a pool and a sand volleyball court.
"Holy shit this is amazing" Jacob blurted out looking at the extravagant beach house. It was dark but everyone could just feel how nice this place was.
Aveline nodded and punched the code in for the front door. They all walked in and oohed and awed at the interior. The interior was modern but with a beach theme. Evie could not believe how lucky she was. Maria felt like a queen. Eivor was just shocked at how nice the weather was. Jacob knew he was going to have a blast. Elise felt right at home. It reminded her of a trip she and her parents took to Hawaii a few years ago. Arno felt that he was in paradise.
"Okay, I guess we need to figure out sleeping arrangements" Aveline turned and looked at them. The house was four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms had two queen beds. Agate owned multiple houses and would rent them out.
"Arno and I can share a bed" Elise grabbed Arno's arm and got right next to him.
"You better not be loud when you fuck" Maria just flat-out said.
Elise rolled her eyes "Shut up". Arno was blushing hardcore.
"Alright Jacob I guess you're with me," Eivor said. Jacob nodded.
"Okay well, Aveline since this trip happened because of you Maria and I can share a room" Evie offered.
"Yeah, that works" Aveline nodded. She would not mind being alone. She needed that right now.
Everyone then went to their rooms. Evie told everyone to sleep now because this would be the only time for rest She was ready to put her itinerary to use.
The next morning Evie was up and ready. She knew it was a relaxing day but wanted to get the most out of it. Today they were going to wait for Altair and them to get here and just have fun at the beach. Evie went to the kitchen and started making breakfast for everyone. Aveline's mom was gracious and had groceries delivered to the house. She figured pancakes were a good start to the day. As she started Jacob walked out.
"Smells good" his mouth was watering he was hungry. He took a seat.
"It is better than your cooking" laughed Evie. She then put the pancakes on a big plate for everyone to get some. She made Jacob and her a plate and sat down next to him.
As they were eating waiting for their for friends to get up Jacob spoke up "So I was thinking"
"Is your brain okay" Evie patted his arm.
Jacob smiled and rolled his eyes "Shut up. As I was saying last night when I was just laying in bed it hit me how far we've come this year. Like we're in a mansion in the Bahamas with our best friends"
"I know it's crazy to the least, but I'm blessed it worked out" Evie shoveled more pancakes into her mouth.
Soon Eivor walked out. "I can't get over how sunny it is here!" Eivor woke up to sun rays hitting his face. He never experienced anything like that.
"I know right there's no clouds," Jacob remarked. Right now in Crawly, it was rainy season. Eivor grabbed some pancakes and thanked Evie and went to town on them. He was starving. The three talked about how sunny it was and how good it felt outside.
Elise and Arno then walked out of their room. Already in their swimsuits. "Finally people that are ready" Evie pointed out. She was still in her PJs but it was nice to see others ready to take on the day.
"You're welcome," Elise said. "I'm ready to hit the beach and stay there the entire day"
Everyone else agreed. Maria and Aveline finally joined them. They all ate breakfast and discussed what they wanted to do at the beach. Conner was going to drive the houseboat to the private dock and that's how they would meet up. The group also made Sandwiches for the day. Evie was annoyed at Jacob since he had more candy than real food. She packed extra for him. They were all ready and walked out to the beach. The weather was perfect. It was sunny with a slight breeze. The waves were also perfect and Jacob could not wait to boogie board. They set up towels and umbrellas. As Jacob was about to run into the water Evie grabbed his shoulder.
"Jacob we need to put sunscreen on you" Evie grabbed one of Eivor's bottles and handed it to Jacob.
"No thank you" Jacob put his hand up "It's nasty"
Evie then glared at him. Everyone stopped what they were doing to watch the smackdown. "Jacob we are pasty white people. You will shrivel up if you don't put on sunscreen" Evie's tone was deadly.
"I don't like the way it feels" Jacob stated. He didn't care if he got burned, he could handle it.
Eivor then stepped in "Jacob, I also don't like it, but I have to put it on also." Eivor knew he would be putting it on frequently today.
Jacob rolled his eyes "Fine I'll put on a little" Jacob grabbed the bottle and put on the thinnest coat of Sunscreen and then immediately ran into the ocean.
"Jacob..." Evie trailed off "He needs to let it dry" Evie turned to her friends.
"He'll be fine" Arno shrugged. Everyone then got what they needed and hit the ocean. They were all laughing as they played with the boogie board and other floats Agate had at the beach house. Evie went back and sat down in her chair and read her book. Aveline and Maria were in an inflatable boat and Jacob and Eivor were the "sea monsters" trying to flip them. Arno and Elise were in floats enjoying the waves. As they were all relaxing several hundred feet away a houseboat came sailing in.
"Wait stop" Maria yelled. Eivor and Jacob stopped what they were doing. "It looks like Altair and the others are here" Aveline stomach dropped a little as she saw the boat docking.
"Hell, yeah more people to be sea monsters" Jacob exclaimed. Everyone then got out of the water to greet them. Evie put down her book and got up. She noticed Aveline looked worried.
Evie then walked up to them and Aveline and whispered to her "Are you okay you look nervous"
Aveline nodded "Yeah I'm fine" she then hurried ahead leaving Evie. Evie knew this side of Aveline. She saw it at Thanksgiving.
"Altair!" Maria ran up and hugged him. Altair hugged her back trying to ignore the fact she was in her green bikini. She pulled away "How was the trip here"
"It was great" Malik interrupted with the biggest smile. Altair gave him the nastiest glare.
"You're smiling did something happen" Jacob interrupted.
Earlier that day.
"Okay do we have everything," Desmond asked as they were loading his car to go to the airport.
"I think we do" answered Ezio.
"Wait we need to get Altair's floaties" Malik laughed.
"Will you shut up" Altair snapped? "Will you be making fun of me the whole time"
"Yes it's so easy" Malik responded wiping a tear from his eye. He was glad he could hold this over Altair.
"I won't make fun of you" Conner patted Altair's shoulder.
"Glad I have one friend at least," Altair said bitterly. They all finally made it to the airport and got on to their plane. As they were getting closer and over the water Malik was at the window seat. He leaned over next to Altair. "If our plane crashes you'll have to be with the women and children since you can't swim"
"That's not funny Malik" Altair turned and glared at him.
"Well, they have floats under the seat if you want to stay back" Malik joked even more. Yeah, he was going to roast Altair the whole trip.
The flight went by fast and they now landed. Conner told them the boat was a short walk from the airport. He was glad his grandpa would let him move the boat. He hadn't driven a boat since he was fifteen, but he watched some YouTube videos and figured he was good to go. They all arrived at the two-story houseboat called the Jackdaw. It looked like it came straight out of the 80s. "Well, this is it" Conner smiled. Ezio was a bit horrified by the exterior. He was used to yachts.
"Looks...quaint" Desmond said hoping to help Ezio. They all then walked in. Altair was behind them just in case the boat spontaneously sunk. The interior also looked like it was from the 80s. The wood paneling and Hawaiian-looking couch was not helping. The air also smelt like cigars and salt water.
"Just like when I was fifteen" Conner smiled at the memories he made here.
"Smells interesting" Malik coughed a bit.
"Sorry about that" Conner apologized. He felt bad he knew the boat was a bit rough, but it was free, and they were in the Bahamas.
"How can I post my vacation on tik tok" mumbled Ezio. He could not let anyone know he was staying here. Malik and Altair rolled their eyes at their rich friend.
"Okay well, I guess we need to take the boat to Aveline's dock," Desmond said trying to make things better.
Conner nodded "Yes". He then went upstairs, and everyone followed him. The controls and all that was in a separate room. Conner took a seat and started up the boat. Everyone else took a seat on another couch behind him. Luckily the weather was perfect. "Hey Des, can you pull up the directions to Aveline's house and direct me there". Conner was nervous about this trip. He had kissed Aveline during the play and felt more during that kiss than his whole relationship with Dobby. He had to survive this and the play and then he was done.
"Sure thing" Desmond pulled out his phone and put it in the directions. He then got up from the couch and stood next to Conner. The boat jerked forward abruptly as Conner put it into gear. Altair screamed and grabbed Malik.
"Dude calm down" Malik prided Altair's fingers off of him.
"Sorry I just don't want to drown like the boat movie"
"You mean Titanic" Ezio looked at him confused. Altair just nodded looking forward trying not to panic. Conner soon hit the open sea.
"Okay it should be about twenty minutes from here" Conner looked over at them. Ezio looked miserable. Altair was in the middle looking green. Malik looked done with Altair. Conner prayed this trip would go well.
After ten minutes Desmond spoke up. "Hey, you took a wrong turn"
"Oh sorry let me steer it back" Conner steered the boat and everything flew to the right.
"What do you mean we took a wrong turn" Altair yelled his voice filled with panic "We could be stranded!"
"Calm down we're fine" Malik snapped. He was getting annoyed.
"It's all fun and games till we're on a deserted island eating each other" Altair screamed back. He was losing it.
"Do you want some trail mix" Desmond pulled out some from his hoodie. The plane they were on gave it out for free.
"Wait save it for when we are on the deserted island" quipped Malik. Altair just gave them all nasty glares and flipped them off.
"You need to relax" Ezio grabbed Altair's shoulders and shook him "I should be the one freaking out. Do you know how embarrassing it would be to die in this 80s monstrosity?"
"Enough we will get there okay" Conner yelled at them. The boat then lurched forward and to the left. Altair screamed again.
Desmond dropped his trail mix "My trail mix!"
Finally, after thirty minutes Conner found the dock and attempted to park the boat. Every time he tried to back in Altair would panic. Conner had enough and just pulled the boat in. Altair then bolted out of the boat the rest followed.
"Thank god we're on a solid surface!" Altair took a deep breath to calm down.
"And that's how we got here" smirked Malik.
"You're such a baby" Maria laughed at Altair while his face was red.
"Whatever can we enjoy ourselves now" he mumbled.
Conner, Ezio, and Desmond got the boat docked and secured. They then walked over to the others.
Ezio looked at the house "Now that is my style"
Desmond rolled his eyes "Calm down richy rich"
Soon everyone got settled in and enjoyed the beach day. Altair was hesitant about the waves and the ocean. He was mad that Malik had thrown away his body suit and he had to wear just normal swim trunks. Maria then glided up to Altair as he was debating on getting into the ocean. "You know I saw that there was a small natural pool a mile away. We can sneak off and have some fun" she looked at him seductively.
Altair would like that except he can't really swim and the thought of doing that in a natural pool disgusted him. "Eww no Maria"
Maria then looked at him annoyed "Come on we're at one of the most romantic places"
"You know if you have sex in the water you can get stuck to one another" he stated "and on top of that a brain-eating amoeba could crawl up me"
"Well, it would be a light snack" Maria stormed off frustrated. Altair stood there annoyed. He wanted to be with Maria but in a nice place with less nature and more air conditioning.
Malik and Evie were both sitting under an umbrella reading when they watched Maria storm off. "Wonder what Altair did" Malik spoke up looking up from his book.
"Or Maria" Evie added closing her book. "That was uncomfortable to watch. I'll talk to her. Between the way, Aveline is acting and now this I can't take much more tension.
"Wait what about Aveline," Malik asked curiously.
Evie looked around to make sure no one could hear them. Altair was trying to get in the water. Maria was trying to help. Desmond, Ezio, Conner, Jacob, and Eivor were playing Volleyball. Aveline, Elise, and Arno were in the ocean with floats. She then caught Malik up on the Aveline and Conner drama and how Aveline clearly had feelings for him. "Doesn't she have a boyfriend?" he asked.
Evie nodded "Yup they're still dating and all that but still. Crazy stuff". Malik agreed.
Hours later they were all eating dinner on the back porch. Everyone pitched in and made different foods. Evie and Altair then got everyone's attention. "Okay everyone as you know Altair and I made an itinerary for the trip. We have so many fun things planned."
"We made printouts to help everyone" Altair then got up and grabbed a stack of paper and passed it out. Everyone was excited for the most part about what was planned. Keywords were the most part.
Jacob raised his hand and Evie pointed to him "Yes Jacob"
"You realize we need to relax. You guys have plans every single day and barely any beach time. I mean were here for the beach" Jacob liked doing excursions and all that, but he would also like to play in the ocean for another day.
Maria spoke up. Glad someone had sense. "I agree Altair I don't think we're on the same page"
"Well I'm on page five"
"No Altair" Maria sighed. That brain-eating amoeba would starve if it crawled up Altair. "I mean I think everyone here wants one day to relax"
"I agree with Maria" Malik added. "Why don't we just skip what we do on the last day" Malik then looked at the itinerary "which is the climb up the Queen's Staircase"
"Hell, no I'm not exercising on vacation" Desmond declared. Everyone then agreed with Desmond.
"Okay we will cut it," Evie said. Now she needed to figure out how to reprint her itinerary.
"What if we did a bonfire the last night" Eivor spoke up. "We can get smores and all that"
"YES" Jacob cheered. He loved fire and chocolate.
"Let's also buy a crap load of alcohol" Ezio added. Jacob cheered even louder. Everyone agreed to that. Evie was slightly annoyed at the change in plans but knew her brother would guide her in the right direction.
Everyone then went their separate ways to bed. Altair had to be dragged to the boat he was terrified about drowning in his sleep. Ezio walked slowly back annoyed he would be in a houseboat and not a private mansion. Maria and Evie were getting ready for bed when Evoie spoke up. "So are you and Altair good"
Maria sighed and quit unpacking and looked at Evie " All I want is some private time with him and seems so freaked out by that"
"What?" Evie looked at her confused.
Maria then went over her plans and how Altair did not seem to want to be with her. "I just don't wanna pull an Arno and Elise and be annoying that's why I want seclusion. Also, this place is so romantic, and our first time together would be great here"
Evie nodded "Well just talk to him. He clearly has a fear of water so avoiding that would be a good start. He really cares about you. The whole time we were planning the trip he wanted to make sure you would like it."
Maria then smiled she was so touched. "Okay, I'll talk to him. Anyway, what are we doing tomorrow?"
"Did you not listen then first three times?" Evie exasperated. She felt like she was talking to Jacob "We are going Jeep riding around the island".
Evie made everyone get up early. She refused to lose time. Jacob woke up in pain from not wearing sunscreen. Maria told him showering would help. His screams then made everyone really wake up. The Houseboat crew (dubbed by Jacob) walked over, and they loaded into the van. It was cramped as hell. Altair decided to drive them. He wanted Ezio to drive but Ezio refused to be seen driving a van. The drive was short, and they found the Jeep rental place. They would break up into three teams of four and each team would get a Jeep. They would tour the island and learn about it. The tour would then wrap up at a Rum Distillery. Jacob had an idea to make it a game. The losing team would have to buy everyone drinks tonight.
"Okay let's get into teams" Altair announced. He was holding a clipboard like a cruise ship director.
"We need to name our teams," Jacob told them. "I'll be the Rooks and the team leader. I want Evie, Ezio, and Maria"
"Wait Jacob" Altair started.
"Cool, I'll be a team leader." Malik interrupted "I want Aveline, Conner, and Arno". Malik knew it was a weird combo but he wanted to cause chaos. Evie caught on as he announced Aveline and Conner. "We'll be called Low Expectations"
"Okay I'll be a team leader" Desmond announced. "Altair, Elise, Eivor we'll be called Incognito Mode"
They all three rolled their eyes and agreed. "Okay now that we have our teams we can go explore the island," Altair told them.
"And it will be a race. The first two teams who arrive at each destination get a point. The losing team with the smaller number of points has to buy drinks tonight. Now GO!" Jacob screamed. Everyone got into their jeeps. The first stop was Government House which was the official residence of the Governor General of The Bahamas.
Jacob and Evie were in the front seat. Evie was giving directions while Jacob was driving. Maria and Ezio sat in the back. "We have to win," Ezio said.
"I know I need free alcohol" Maria added. The twins however were not listening to them. They were so busy trying to win.
"Okay Jacob take a left here now take right" Evie commanded. Jacob was whizzing through the island. Outside the Jeep, everything was a blur.
"On it" Jacob's driving skills were good compared to the others. "Looks like we're winning dear sister"
"Of course, we are were the Rooks" she smiled.
"Hey, guys we have company" Ezio looked over at them. Behind them was Arno driving with Malik in the passenger seat. Malik was commanding Arno like a racehorse.
"COME ON YOU NOVICE PASS THEM" he screamed at Arno.
"THAT'S ILLEGAL" Arno screamed back.
"AND! DO IT" Malik screamed back he was competitive. Arno rolled his eyes and gunned it. He passed Jacob and them. Malik flipped them off. Thankfully they were on roads that were not busy.
"This is crazy," Aveline said as she saw the shocked faces of Jacob, Evie, Maria, and Ezio. They were not expecting Malik to be like that.
Conner nodded "I know right. I had no idea Malik was crazy like that" he whispered that last part.
"I don't want to die here," Aveline said hanging onto her seatbelt.
"SAME it would be embarrassing to lose also" Conner added.
"Dammit, we're losing" Desmond screamed at Altair. He just saw Arno go around Jacob and them. It was hard to hear since the Jeeps had no doors and the roof was open.
" I know! How much longer till we're there" Altair asked keeping his eyes on the road.
"I FOUND A SHORT CUT" Eivor leaned over the center console and showed Desmond his phone. If we take this road, we can beat them by five minutes.
Desmond nodded "Perfect. TURN HERE" Desmond grabbed the steering wheel and they turned onto another road.
"What the hell" Altair yelled at Desmond "We could have died"
"But we didn't!" Desmond then directed them, and they arrived before everyone else shockingly.
They then all got out of the Jeep. "I can't believe we're first," Elise said looking at the Government House. The house was colonial-looking and a pretty shade of pink.
"I know thought we would lose," Eivor said honestly. After another minute two Jeeps pulled up. Jacob and Malik hopped out and started racing toward the mansion.
"I WILL WIN" Jacob screamed ahead of Malik.
Malik was fast but Jacob won. "Woohoo take that!"
"Whatever Malik rolled his eyes. Soon everyone else joined them. They all toured the grand mansion and the surrounding area. Evie loved it but Jacob was bored and ready for the next race. Soon it was time to finally move to the next destination which was Fort Fincastle a fort built to keep out pirates.
They were all then loading the Jeeps quickly. As Low Expectation got into their Jeep Conner spoke up. "Let me drive I know how to get there!" Conner went there with his grandpa a few years ago and Conner was pretty sure they broke in. Conner swore his grandpa was a pirate in a past life.
"Thank god!" Malik said annoyed. He was mad they were losing. "Arno sits in the back" Arno nodded more than happy to sit with Aveline. They started the drive and Conner veered off and into a dirt path. He knew they were going to win.
Altair was gunning it while Eivor was reading directions. Desmond sat in the back with Elise.
"Elise, I need you to seduce Arno and distract him" Desmond was making a plan.
"Okay I'll do it" she smiled. She loved winning and Arno. "What do I need to do?"
"I don't make him find you a fancy seashell or something I don't know but he'll listen to you" Elise nodded and started plotting.
"Jacob hurry!" Evie commanded him as they were behind Desmond's team.
"What do you think I'm doing!" Jacob argued back.
"Trying to lose" Maria screamed at him. She wanted to win so badly.
"Fuck it I'm passing them" Jacob accelerated the Jeep and went by Desmond's team. Maria blew a kiss at Altair which distracted him for a moment.
"Don't fall for her charm" Desmond yelled thus snapping Altair out of it.
"Sorry!" he blushed. They all finally arrived and were shocked at Low Expectations there. Desmond and them lost.
"Woo two wins in a row" Jacob cheered and high-fived his team.
"I'm pulling up the drink menu now" Ezio laughed. Everyone then toured the old fort. Maria figured she could get Altair alone and talk to him. Evie knew the plan and made sure the others would give them privacy.
Maria and Altair were then alone by an old cannon "Hey Altair can we talk?"
Altair looked at her "Sure what's up" he hoped she wasn't breaking up with him. He could see her do that in a military fort of all places.
She took a deep breath "I just wanna be honest and say I wanna be with you all the way. But every time I've offered it you seem horrified"
Altair was somewhat relieved "Maria I want to be with you too" Her face lit up. "But I don't want our first time to be outside or around others. I'm not going to be like Arno and Elise"
Maria nodded "I understand I just wanted to feel romantic. I've never felt this way before" she admitted.
Altair felt something happy in his chest at that. "I promise when we get back, I'll surprise you with a super romantic night and everything."
Maria smiled and kissed him hard. He kissed her back just as hard. Maria pulled away "Come on we better head back and finish the race before Jacob or Malik shit themselves. I had no idea Malik was so competitive" He always seemed so calm to Maria.
"His competitiveness doesn't happen often but when it does...yeah" Altair remembered when they were kids and Malik was beyond competitive in school. It scared Altair a bit.
Everyone got back to their Jeeps and continued the race. The next stop was Graycliff Chocolatier where they would all make chocolate. Evie was going to use this to her advantage and make Jacob have a sugar rush that way they could surlily win. The drive there was chaotic, and The Rooks lost. Evie's road rage got the best of her and Jacob had to calm her down. Maria was surprised at how competitive her friends were. They all made their chocolate. At this point, everyone was tied therefore they all needed to be one of the first two teams to arrive. As they were making chocolate Desmond whispered to Elise "Seduce Arno"
Elise nodded and put her chocolate down. She walked over to the team Low Expectations station where they were making their chocolate. She leaned over to Arno "I saw a storage closet where we can have some alone time. Meet me there in five" She then walked back to her team and gave Desmond a small thumbs up. Everyone then loaded back to their Jeeps and took off except for Low Expectations.
"Where the Hell is Arno!" Malik exclaimed waiting by the Jeep. Aveline and Conner shrugged. "Don't shrug go look for him."
Aveline and Conner then went back to the Chocolate. "Dang Malik is quite competitive" Aveline stated as she was texting Arno.
"Yeah, he's like that" Conner kept it short. Aveline was tired of the awkwardness between her and Conner and decided to end it here and there.
"Listen" she stopped and turned at Conner "I know things between us are kinda weird, to say the least, but can we be friends? We both hang around each other a lot and I'm tired of being like this"
Conner felt relief and was thankful for the honesty "Yeah, I would like that. I'm sorry for the way I was last semester"
"Water under the bridge" she shrugged. They then found Arno getting yelled at by a custodian. Arno explained how Elise set them up. Aveline was impressed by Elise's actions. They then got into the Jeep and Malik yelled at Arno the whole time they finally got to the Distillery and everyone else was already there. Jacob joked and told them he got a tab started. Everyone then drank and Low Expectations kept their promise and paid for everyone's drinks. Malik was beyond mad but mellowed up after Altair gave him a shot of rum. Elise apologized to Arno and he begrudgingly accepted it. They all then made it back to the house and set up a huge bonfire. They were all sitting on some beach chairs. Everyone at this point was drunk.
"I LOVE YOU EVIE" Jacob screamed at her. She was right next to him.
"You're annoying but same" Evie slurred. "I wanna read now" she then stumbled to the house to find her book.
"Nerd!" Maria hollered and took a shot.
Altair rolled his eyes "Be nice Maria"
"Don't tell her what to do or she'll spray you with Vinegar" Elise said. She was draped across Arno.
"For real my eyes still hurt" Arno added in.
"Oh, let's play never I have ever" Ezio spoke up. Evie then returned with her book and took a seat. "Okay everyone grab a bottle!" Everyone grabbed a bottle. "You will take a drink every time you've done something. If your bottle is empty first, then you win! Okay ill start never I have ever... lied to law Enforcement"
Jacob, Malik, and Elise all took sips. "Elise what did you do?" Arno asked concerned.
"When I went to an all-girls school and broke a girl's nose, I got called in by the police. I lied and said I was defending myself in reality the girl was a bitch and needed to be knocked down a few pegs"
Ezio then looked at Malik and Jacob "What did you guys do?"
Jacob went first "I was speeding and got pulled over I told the cop I had to poop really bad in reality I was rushing home to play a new video game" Everyone then burst into laughter.
Malik then went "I covered up for my brother. He stole a fucking McDonalds sign and the cops came to our house" Malik was furious at his brother but did not want him in serious trouble.
Ezio laughed "Okay Malik you go"
"Okay, never I have ever stolen something of value. Only Eivor took a drink. Everyone looked at him.
"It was my mom's wedding ring. Anyways never I have ever regifted a gift"
Evie, Ezio, Aveline, and Conner all took sips. Evie then went next "Never I have ever done the walk of shame"
Aveline, Ezio, Eivor, Arno, Elise, and Maria all took sips. Conner remembered Aveline's walk of shame after Halloween. Altair noted Maria's walk of shame and wanted to ask. Elise and Arno had been each other's walk of shame during Christmas break when they were sneaking around. Aveline then asked her question "Never I have ever started a fire"
Arno, Jacob, Desmond, and Altair all took sips. Arno forgot to blow a candle out. Jacob and Desmond were bored when they made a fire. Altair was just bad at cooking.
Demond then went "Never have I ever thrown a drink at someone"
Conner, Elise, Arno, and Evie all took sips. Conner threw his drink at his dad. Evie Her's at Jacob. Arno at a friend from school and same with Elise.
Arno then went "Never I have ever broken a bone"
Conner, Jacob, Malik, Altair, and Maria all took sips. Then Conner went "Never I have ever drunk-dialed my ex"
Ezio, Aveline, Altair, and Desmond all took sips. Soon never have I ever got hilariously personal.
"Never I have ever fucked my sibling's girlfriend" Jacob slurred laughing.
Eivor took a sip he then went. "Never have I ever fucked my girlfriend next to my roommate's room and be loud" Arno and Elise took sips.
Elise then went "Never have I been carried by an RHD drunk" she gave Maria a devilish smile.
Maria flipped her off "fuck you" she took a sip "Never I have ever read 19th-century lit with my boyfriend"
Evie laughed and took a sip "Never have I ever let my messes become biohazard issues and cause issues"
Everyone then laughed and watched Jacob take a sip. No one knew who won because they all got absolutely shit-faced. They all then woke up the next day in the beach house living room. Arno and Elise were asleep on the couch. Jacob somehow fit on the coffee table. Malik in one armchair and Desmond in the other. Maria and Altair were curled up with one another on the ground. Evie was also on the ground but had her head on Eivor's leg. Ezio was also on the ground. Aveline and Conner were curled up with one another. Aveline woke up first and noticed that. She was horrified, she hoped she didn't say anything. She quickly scooted away from him and went to her own room. The day was now noon and they had to skip their excursion everyone was so hung over.
The days went by fast. Evie and Altair killed it with their planning. One day they went zip-lining, and everyone had a blast. One day they interacted with sea life. Altair announced he was a Disney Princess (All the animals liked him the most) and that Malik was the villain. Everyone laughed at that. Another day then went four-wheeler riding. Jacob made it a race and lost tp Evie she of course won. Finally, it was the last day which was a beach day. They were all leaving the next morning
"I'm not ready to leave," Maria said as she was laying her towel out.
"Same" Altair agreed and sat down next to her. He then handed her an ice cream sandwich and she started eating it.
"I'm dreading finals," Evie said reading her book "I don't want to go back"
"Same ugh we have to check out residents soon" sighed Malik looking at the ocean. Checkout was the worst for RA's. They had to stay behind everyone else and make sure the building looked brand new after the resident moved out. Everyone agreed coming back from spring break was going to suck.
"We should do this again though," Altair said. He was watching Conner, Desmond, Ezio, Aveline, Jacob, Elise, and Arno play Sand Volleyball.
"I agree it was good getting to know everyone better" Maria took a bite of her sandwich.
Evie's face then lit up "What if we did Disney next year!" She always wanted to go. It looked like so much fun.
"Sound nauseating...I'm in" Malik said. Disney seemed way too happy for him but he loved roller coasters.
"As long as there are no water parks involved then yes" Altair hated water already and a waterpark seemed like hell.
"Let's do a waterpark there I can force you down a slide!" Maria leaned into Altair.
The day sadly went by quickly. Everyone had so much fun. They had a sandcastle building contest and Ezio won thanks to having to help Leo with all his sculpture projects. They also played sea monster and Jacob took it too far and went way into character and Evie yelled at him for scaring Altair. Sand Volleyball went great and Eivor and Aveline were a force to be messed with. A water gun fight happened, and Maria won. She had practiced with a spray bottle after all. Arno and Elise made sure to steer clear of her. Desmond made everyone drinks and they went down quickly. They had another bonfire and everyone was drinking heavily now.
Aveline then got sick. She had been drinking the most. Evie told her to calm down but she just kept going. "I need to go in" she was trying to hold it together. Emotions were hitting her.
Evie then offered her help. "Elise, Maria, and I can help you in. Calm on" They all then got up and helped Aveline in.
"Are you good?" Evie asked.
"I'm... hang on" Aveline ran to the closest bathroom which was in the hallway by the living room. She then barfed into the toilet "Sorry"
"Hey, it's okay" Evie held her hair. "Maria, can you get a wet paper towel? Elise, can you get a shower," started" Maria and Elise nodded and went their ways.
"I broke up with Gerald" Aveline admitted.
"What?" Evie asked not sure she heard right.
"I still like Conner and now he's with someone" she started getting upset. She should have given him a chance.
Evie patted her back "It's going to be okay"
Little did Evie and Aveline know Conner heard everything. He had to use the bathroom and saw them. As he was leaving, he heard her admit that. Conner quickly left forgetting he needed to pee. He had no idea what to do with that information.
The next day everyone got on the same plane. The Houseboat crew left the Jackdaw stationed. Edward was coming back and said he would get it. Agate was okay with it also. As they were getting on the plane everyone was a bit sad. The vacation had been a dream and now they had to go back to reality. Finals and move-out were coming up fast but so was the Brotherhood formal which everyone was excited about. Conner still had no idea what to do about Aveline's confession he was dreading play even more. Maria was excited about what Altair had planned for her. There were some things to look forward to.
The flight back was fast as everyone was hungover and tired from the trip. They all made it back to the dorm. It was Saturday and the dorm opened back up Sunday. Altair had to sneak everyone in and told them if they told anyone they had come back early he would kill them. The rest of the weekend everyone slept and got ready for the next few weeks. Evie texted Jacob pictures they took together. She looked at one picture of her and Jacob at sunset. He looked so red from being sunburnt and Evie just laughed a bit. She was glad the trip was everything she wanted.

Hope everyone enjoyed the Spring Break chapter! I was thinking of adding the Far Cry 3 cast but it didn't make the cut sadly. Also I have never been to the Bahamas so if anything is off sorry lol. I really do love writing everyone drunk for some reason its so fun XD. Anyways good update for yall the next update will be on Friday!
