Author's Notes
1. I do not own Xiaolin Showdown but I do love both of the series. I do own Gloria/Gizmo who is Jack's daughter in fanfiction; she'll be a character throughout the story and I hope you will all like her
2. Due to the back to back holidays, a busy work schedule, and other real life events; it's been around two months or so since I've posted and I apologize for that. Hopefully I will be able to post more often but I can make no promises.
3. Standard warning - There will be more yaoi in future chapters, but if that's not your thing then luckily for you it's not in this chapter.
4. This is an extremely short chapter because I couldn't decide if I wanted Jack to win or not, if you have an opinion please review and let me know. If no one says anything then I'll flip a coin and go from there, I'll give those that are reading this a month at max before I make my decision.
Some time had passed since the group had all made their way onto the course, they were now halfway through the game and Jack and Chase were tied with the lowest scores; Vincent meanwhile was trailing behind them while the rest of the group either weren't really trying or having a bad day. Jack had known that Vincent was good at golf and that he would surely be competition, but Chase on the other hand had been a bit of a surprise.
"I really shouldn't be surprised that Chase is good at golf, I'm sure he's good at a lot of things; or at the very least is a fast learner. The question is, how do I..." Jack thought to himself absentmindedly, getting his thoughts interrupted as a hand waved in front of his face.
"Jack, are you alright? It's your turn. Cosette said in an amused tone.
"Yeah I'm fine Cosette. You all really took your turn already?" Jack said with an amused smile at first but then looked at Cosette in curiosity.
"You, Chase, and my dear Vincent are the only ones who are in serious competition, the rest of us are just having fun at this point." Cosette explained with a smile.
"Anyway, as I said; it's your turn. You should probably get to it, unless of course you're surrendering?" Cosette added in an amused tone.
"No of course I'm not surrendering, I can still win this!" Jack said in a slightly indignant but also determined way.
"Well then you better get going, Chase and Vincent are waiting for you." Cosette said with a chuckle as she gestured over to Vincent and Chase, who sure enough were waiting patiently.
"Right, I'll do that. Sorry about that, you two." Jack said first to Cosette and then speaking to Chase and Vincent.
Luckily for Jack, Vincent and Chase seemed more amused by the fact that he had been distracted then anything, now that he was paying attention again Jack took his turn so they could move on.
Four holes later:
"Okay I think it's about time I drop out, you two are just doing too well." Vincent said after having a particularly bad round.
"You're really going to drop out, Vince?" Jack asked in a surprised way.
"Are you really going to complain, Jack? You remember what happens if you beat all of the adults in the group right." Vincent asked in a hushed tone when Chase looked at them both in patient but also an amused way.
"I'm not complaining, I was just surprised." Jack said in a slightly embarrassed way.
"Anyway, like I said, I'll be dropping out. I'll be watching to see who wins." Vincent said in a normal tone, waving over to Chase before making his way over to the rest pf the group who was waiting.
"Shall we continue then Jack? Only five more holes to go?' Chase asked with an amused smirk.
"Yes we can continue." Jack said with a nod, trying his best to hide the fact that he was nervous about it just being him and Chase left.
Whether Chase was just having beginner's luck or was legitimately good at golf was hard to determine, regardless; Jack knew for a fact that these last few holes were going to be the hardest yet.
