Chapter 12: Fighting

When the plane landed, Bran and Alex drove to her place in his Humvee.

"You didn't sleep on the plane, and you are troubled, what's going on?" asked Bran.

"I am just tired,"

"You know better than to lie to a werewolf," he stated dryly.

"Well, here is some truth: I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT," she growled and turned her head from him.

"Fine," he growled back as he parked in front of her house.

Alex grabbed her bag and slammed the Humvee's door shut behind her.

"Thanks for the ride," she growled and slammed the door to her house too.

Bran growled and drove to his own house.

Bran walked in to Asil's green house.

He was walking back and forth on the path between the rose's bushes, growling and grumbling to himself.

Asil looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Want to talk about it?" he suggested.

"I hate teenagers!" he growled.

"O.k. so it's Alex related, what happened?"

"I don't know! All I get from her is frustration, and anger, and only when she doesn't half shut our bond, and when I tried to talk with her, she gets angry with me, and shut me off!"

"Can you stop screaming? I can hear you just fine," said Asil dryly.

Bran growled.

"Easy, easy. I am trying to help remember?" soothed Asil.

Bran turned away from him and kept walking back and forth.

"Well, she was in Arizona, right? With Charles and Anna, they eventually had a case there, what was the case?" asked Asil.

"What that have to do with anything?" asked Bran in frustration.

"Well, she came back from there annoyed, so what happened there?" asked Asil.

"A fae took a five years old kid, Charles and Anna got the kid back, and Alex killed the fae in the end… is it because she killed someone?" asked Bran.

Asil sighed and rolled his eyes.

"It's because of the kid, she is a girl, girls usually want kids sooner or later… she can't have any, female werewolf can't, remember?"

"Oh. How it's my fault?" Bran frowned.

"It isn't, she doesn't blame you, she is just upset, and you are pushy," said Asil.

"I am not pushy," said Bran.

"Yes, you are. You are used to get anything you want when you want it, she is too dominant on her own to give you that, so you are upset. Leave her alone, let her come to you," said Asil.

Bran sighed.

"I still hate teenagers,"

Asil smiled.

"Thanks," said Bran and went back home.

It's been a week. A whole week that Alex shut their bond almost completely.

Bran was grumpy, and angry.

"Da,"

"What?" growled Bran.

"You can't treat your wolves that way, most of them are already in a delicate condition, and you growling at them, and bringing them to their knees, doesn't help you, or anyone else," said Charles.

"They will live," growled Bran.

"Do you want me to get Anna over here?" asked Charles.

"I am fine," growled Bran.

"You didn't stop growling since I got here," stated Charles dryly.

"Leave me alone,"

"O.k." said Charles softly and turned to leave.

He sighed in relief when he saw Alex.

She kissed his cheek in greeting and walked to Bran that was sitting on the carpet in front of the fire, while Charles left the house.

She sat behind him and warped him in her arms, pulling him in to her embrace.

He turned in her arms, sniffing in her scent, nuzzling her neck.

She kissed his lips gently.

"You can bring in here how many babies that you want, just never hide from me like that,"

She kissed his forehead and held him against her.

"So, you figured it out?" asked Alex.

"No," he whined, "Asil did,"

She laughed and kissed his nose.

"So, it's good we have Asil around,"

"No," he whined, and she giggled, hugging him tighter.

They lie down on the carpet, snuggling in front of the fire. Bran's head resting on her chest, her arms warped around him.

"It's not like I want children tomorrow, I mean, I am barely eighteen. But this case in Arizona with all the children around… made it clearer that I will never have children of my own,"

"Adopted baby will be ours, right?" he asked.

"Yeah, he or she will never know the difference," she smiled.

"Then problem solve," he looked up at her, grinning, and lowered his head back, to rest on her chest.

She giggled and kissed the top of his head.

That day she stayed for dinner.

Bran was cooking, moving from one pan to the other, to the oven and back.

She watched him with humor in her eyes.

"What?" he asked.

"You are cute,"

He growled.

She giggled.

He stole a kiss from her lips and went back to cooking.

It was after dinner.

They sat on his couch, talking.

"So, what do you want to do?" asked Bran.

"Now or in general?" she asked as she sat on his lap, one leg at each side of him.

"Amm… what?" he mumbled as she started to kiss his neck.

"Alex…" he groaned and laid her on the couch, kissing her deeply.

He pulled her blouse over her head, throwing his own shirt away too.

Their jeans and underwear were thrown away not too long afterward.

They made love on the couch, hungrily, passionately until they got to their peak, and crushed down, breathing hard.

He peppered her face with small, gentle kisses.

'I love you my little wolf,'

'I love you too.'

Bran managed to grab a blanket to cover them both, and they fell in to a much needed sleep.

Asil walked in to the Marrok's house, as always, without knocking on the door.

He gasped, calling "Allah!" making Alex jump in alert.

"Asil?" she asked confused, grabbing Bran's shirt (it was the closer clothing item she could find) and putting it on.

"Bran! Would you wake up? Asil is here," said Alex, shaking him.

She pulled her hair out of the shirt and stood up from the couch, as usual, Bran's clothes almost swallowed her whole.

"Asil, your Alpha seemed, to need his beauty sleep," she threw his jeans on his head, Bran whined in protest.

"Do you need something? Can I help?" asked Alex softly.

"No, I am fine. He was upset when he came to see me, I was just checking on him. He definitely not upset anymore," Asil smirked.

Alex giggled at that, "If he is upset, I definitely did something wrong last night,"

Asil hummed, "I will leave now, and knock on the door next time, good bye,"

He rushed out the door.

"Alex," whined Bran.

She laid next to him, stroking his hair.

"Let's go upstairs, you don't want Charles, to show up next," she said softly.

He whined at her and followed her upstairs to the bedroom.
