ATTENTION! to the lovely readers of this story :) I'm sorry to say that the progress of this story has to come to an end before the story's actual end, but I'm sure people who've read it before I post this bit must've already suspected, considering the last update was *checks calendar* almost 1.5 yrs ago. I've been going back and forth on whether to make this story's abandonment official, and whether or not to post the small bit of chapter I still had hidden in my files somewhere, but if you're reading this you know what I ended up doing :)

So: this is an INCOMPLETE CHAPTER. As in, very incomplete, no closure, just a part I happened to have written a few months after posting the last chapter. Just so y'all know. If you don't want to read something incomplete, now is your chance to just leave this page! Or, if you want just that little bit of extra content (read: 500 words) of this story's Bella, go ahead and read :)

I explain a bit more of my decision in the notes at the end of the chapter. Love y'all!

{Incomplete Chapter}

As it turned out, Bella's health was not much worse than it had been when she had last been checked out by a doctor. Apparently training with Eleazar to protect her own mind and body from her powers had worked, because her organs were all still working how they were supposed to. Bella thought that deserved

Alec had sat with her through the entire examination, glaring at the unperturbed doctor, who just calmly went on, ignoring his gaze. Bella had thought the entire thing very amusing, not that she would ever admit it, she still had some self-preservation left.

When the examination was done, Bella realised that Alec's appearance had not been by chance, because he very deliberately steered her down the halls to a common area, where she was to wait until- Well, until they deemed it time for her to do something else, apparently.

Bella walked around through the room, taking in the old-but-fancy-looking couches and the high cupboards and bookcases that lined the sides of the room. The cobbled floors had made place for dark wood, taking away a little bit of the natural chill that all rooms in the castle seemed to emanate. She got bored quickly enough, though, when she realised all the books were in Italian – she was trying to learn, but nowhere near that good yet – and flopped down on the couch.

A cloud of dust jumped from the cushions as she did so, leaving her coughing as she waved her hands in front of her, trying to clear the air.

"My apologies," Alec spoke up from where he was standing in the corner of the room, next to the door. There was far too much amusement in his voice for Bella to take his apology seriously. "We don't have guests often."

Bella sighed, shaking away the shivers that his red eyes gave her, and just ignored him. She pulled out her phone from her pocket, mentally crossing her fingers as she switched it on and was surprised to find she actually had reception. She looked up at Alec in surprise.

He just grinned, showing a little too much teeth, and asked, "Would you like the WiFi password?"

Bella knew she could not hide her incredulous look, unsure whether to take him seriously, but quickly found the network when he started rattling off a combination of numbers and letters. As soon as her phone connected, a bunch of messages appeared in her notifications, and she opened them. Two messages from Angela, asking her how everything is going, and a whole collection of messages from Alice, who had decided to keep her up to date with all the drama, and was asking Bella for pictures and stories.

She just had time to answer Angela before the door to the room opened.

"Isabella!"

The weird cadence of his voice and the unmistakable accent had her shooting up from the couch, and her gaze found the weird little man who had entered the room.

It was good to see his familiar face. She smiled. "Uncle Aro."

A/N: Hi!

I guess you've read this incomplete chapter now. Or not, if you just scrolled on. Anyway, this is it :) Consider this story officially incomplete, abandoned :( Very sad, I know, but I thought I'd give you guys some closure by making it official. And so new readers can decide whether or not to read something that won't get an ending! That only seemed fair.

I'm in a very different part of my live from when I started writing this story and my interests have shifted. I'm still writing gay little love stories, just not Twilight related! Hence, the official abandonment of this story. A big thanks to the people who left comments, favourited and followed! I appreciate you.

Lots of love,

- Laura

(honestly, I have no idea whether anyone will end up reading this author's note, but to those 3 people that do, thanks for sticking with me till the end! you're now very informed on my life decisions XD)

(I think at this point my two author's notes combined must almost be longer than the chapter itself :P)
