The next day, in a nearby CIA safehouse.

They had arrested Klaue and he was detained in an interrogation room.

Laura changed out of the dress and into a more comfortable pair of jeans and hoodie.

Joined by T'Challa, they were currently watching Klaue, who was bound to a chair in the middle of the room, singing, "What is love" nonchalantly.

Okoye was in the other room, monitoring the security cameras.

Laura clenching her fist angrily as Ross joined them.

"Hello! I can see you! I can, I can see you…" Klaue laughed and began making kissing gestures at the couple.

Laura narrowed her eyes at him.

"So, this is a big mess, huh? I figured we can go good cop bad cop. I'll talk to him first, then you guys go in ." Ross suggested.

"We can't let him talk to Klaue alone." Laura warned in Wakandan.

T'Challa looked between her and him before responding.

"Better to let him talk to Klaue alone for five minutes than make a scene here." he suggested and she nodded.

"After your questioning, we will take him back to Wakanda with us." he told Ross.

"What? No. Look I like you, a lot. But he's in my custody now. He's not going anywhere. Listen, I'm doing you a favor by letting you even be in here." he said, patting T'Challa on the shoulder which earned a glare from Laura.

"If he touches you again, I will impale his head to the desk.." she threatened in Wakandan, pointing down to the desk in front of him.

He frowned, hearing her anger.

"Look, I don't speak Wakandan…" he began but she interrupted him.

"That's why I'm speaking it…" she said through her clenched teeth.

T'Challa grabbed her wrist and she took a deep breath.

"Look, I'm going in. And when I'm done you guys are up." Ross said and began to walk away but T'Challa grabbed his shoulder.

"Agent Ross, I do appreciate your help in Busan." he thanked him kindly.

"You see that? It's called diplomacy. You're welcome." he told Laura smugly who rolled her eyes at him.

He walked into the room and closed the door behind him.

"That's called diplomacy…" she said in a mock childish voice which T'Challa smiled at.

"Play nice, Laura." he joked and she scoffed.

"Agents."

Klaue was still singing as Ross sat down, placing his arm blaster on the table in between them.

"You know you really shouldn't trust the Wakandans. Even if they're Queen is one of your own. I'm much more your speed…" Klaue warned, Laura and T'Challa hearing the conversation via their communication devices and the EMP bead T'Challa discreetly placed on Ross from his pat.

"I don't trust anybody, not in this job. But what I am interested in is that arm cannon out there. Where'd you get that?" he asked.

"It's an old mining tool that I made some adjustments to. But I can get you one if you'd like." Klaue joked.

"Why don't you give me the name of your supplier and I'll ask them." Ross countered.

"They're right outside why don't you ask them yourself?" Klaue accused.

"T'Challa and Laura? You're telling me that weapon on your arm is from Wakanda?" he asked.

Klaue nodded and Laura and T'Challa glanced to each other.

"What do you actually know about Wakanda?" Klaue asked him.

"Shepherds. Textiles. Cool outfits." he shrugged.

"It's all a front. Explorers searched for it for centuries. El Dorado, The Golden City . They thought they could find it in South America, but it was in Africa the whole time. A technological marvel. All because it was built on a mound of the most valuable metal known to Man. Isipho, they call it. The gift. Vibranium." he revealed.

"Vibranium yeah. Strongest metal on Earth." Ross nodded.

"It's not just a metal... They sew it into their clothes, it powers their city, their tech, their weapons." Klaue added.

"Weapons?" Ross frowned.

"Oh yes. Like her spear…" he nodded to Laura behind the reflective mirror which made Ross look at her.

She shuffled in her place.

"They make my arm cannon look like a leaf blower." he clarified.

"That's a nice fairy tale but Wakanda is a third world country and you stole all their Vibranium." Ross accused.

Klaue just began chuckling but slammed his bound fists on the arm rests, barely able to contain himself.

"All of it? I took a tiny piece of it. They have a mountain full of it. They've been mining it for thousands of years and still haven't scratched the surface. I'm the only outsider who's seen it, and got out of there alive If you don't believe me you ask your friend what his suit is made of... what his claws are made of. What her spear that she used to chop off my arm with is made out of…" he said, glaring angrily at her.

She followed Ross' gaze to her and she began fiddling with her necklace.

Ross got up and left the room to join them.

"Your father told the UN that Klaue stole all the Vibranium you had. But now he's telling me you have more?" he asked T'Challa.

"And you believe the word of an arms dealer, strapped to a chair?" T'Challa argued.

Ross opened up his mouth but closed it.

Not believing him but he looked over to Laura.

"What's the history between you and Klaue? Did you cut off his arm?" he asked her.

"I want my lawyers before I answer anything." she crossed her arms.

"How much more are you hiding?" he asked again but Okoye came running in.

"Something's happening out back!" she warned but then an explosion blew a hole in the interrogation room!

They all ran inside but a man was shooting semi-automatic fire from a van towards them.

Ross tackled Laura to the ground as other agents dove underneath the gunfire.

T'Challa's suit assembled and he shielded an agent.

Okoye dove clear as two of Klaue's men grabbed his chair and began hauling him back towards the van.

"I see you took your time didn't you!" Laura heard Klaue shout.

She got up but looked down to see that Ross was struck in the back.

She carefully got him up as he began to shake and supported his head against her shoulder.

Clenching his bleeding wound, she felt that the bullet struck his spine!

She saw Okoye run out after hearing an explosion and took a bead off of her bracelet.

Lifting up his shirt, she placed it in the wound before T' Challa and Okoye rushed back in.

"Laura…" T'Challa gasped, crouching down to her.

"He just… jumped in front of me. I stabilized him though." she managed to say as his breathing became stable and his eyes closed.

The other agents looking on with worry.

"Give him to us." T'Challa asked them but they looked at each other in confusion.

"We can save him." Laura added, reassuring them.

They boarded Ross back on the craft and placed him on a stretcher.

Okoye was flying them back as Laura was looking down at him with grave concern.

Okoye got out of the pilot seat to join them.

"Our mission was to bring back Klaue. We failed. This man is a foreign intelligence operative. How do we justify brining him into our borders?" she asked them.

"He took a bullet for me!" Laura said angrily.

"That was his choice." she argued.

"So we should have just left him behind and let him die?" Laura said, raising her voice to the taller woman.

"Let us consider that we heal him. It is his duty to report back to his country. And as King, it is your duty to protect ours." she reminded T'Challa.

"I am well aware of my duties, General. I cannot just let him die knowing we can save him. Laura made the right call." he said, giving her a faint smile.

She clenched his hand back.

"Where exactly are we taking him?" Okoye asked them.

They gave each other knowing look and rushed back to Wakanda.

Laura pushed Ross' hovering stretcher out as they landed above the mound.

Heading down to Shuri's lab who was waiting for them.

"Great, another broken white boy for us to fix. This is going to be fun." she joked which Laura looked at her unimpressed.

She placed Ross on an operating table and Shuri lifted up a holographic of his spine. Highlighting the vertebrae that was struck by the bullet.

"He will live." she confirmed and Laura released the breath she didn't realize she was holding but then alarm went off on Shuri's bead.

"W' Kabi is here." she warned.

She and Okoye hid as Laura and T'Challa ran up the ramp to greet him at the entrance above.

"What's going on, brother? Where is Klaue?" he asked, trying to look around them.

"He's not here." T'Challa said, lowering his eyes regretfully.

"He got away from us." Laura said with a sigh.

"Got away? For thirty years your father was in power and did nothing. With you and Laura I thought it would be different. But it's more of the same." W'Kabi said with deep disappointment.

He looked between the couple and just shook his head before turning around and walked away.

"W'Kabi, we can explain…" Laura began but T'Challa grabbed her shoulder.

"Let him go, Laura."

Laura refused to leave Ross side for the rest of the day as he slept.

Sitting by his bedside as she rested her chin on her clasped knuckles.

Knowing all to well what he was dealing with.

She wasn't sure where T'Challa went off to but Shuri was working at her workstation behind her.

But then Ross opened his eyes and quickly got up.

"Careful, easy…." Laura said, holding onto him as he shifted upwards.

He looked at her and then around the very futuristic high tech lab.

"Alright, where am I?" he demanded her.

"Relax, you're in Wakanda, Agent Ross." she said as she stepped back to let him up.

He was looking around in amazement.

"It's amazing I know. The shock and awe wares off after a while." she joked.

"You knew about this the whole time?" he asked her.

"Obviously." she quipped.

"Uh huh…" he said and began to walk around.

She followed him around the ramp.

"Thank you for what you did, back there. Having already been shot in the spine, I'd like to not have another high risk life threatening surgery." she said lightheartedly.

"You're welcome, Queen Laura." he nodded.

"You can call me Laura." "

My name is Everett." Ross said, offering his hand which she shook.

"I already know. Everett Ross, former air force pilot and now, CIA." she stated.

"Of course you do." he said but walked over towards the windows.

Looking up at the mound entrance hundreds of feet above them.

Then far down below where he saw levitating trains on floating tracks carrying Vibranium out.

"How long ago was Korea?" he asked her.

"Yesterday." she answered.

"I don't think so. Bullet wounds don't just magically heal overnight." he denied.

"It wasn't magic. It was my sister in law. Princess Shuri." she gestured to her right where she was looking down at her table.

"Your welcome!" she said, raising her hand dramatically, not paying attention to them.

Laura smiled.

"Don't let him touch anything, my brother will be back soon." she said.

He nodded but looked down to the "tracks" to see light panels floating above the rails.

"Those train things… that's magnetic levitation right?" he asked them.

"Yes." Laura nodded.

"Yeah but I've never seen it this… efficient. The light panels, what are they?" he asked.

"Shuri…" Laura said and she got up and walked over to them.

"Sonic stabilizers. In it's raw from, Vibranium is too dangerous to be transported at that speed, so I developed a way to temporarily deactivate it." she explained.

"There's Vibranium on those trains?" he asked in disbelief.

"There's Vibranium in everything you see here." Laura clarified but an alarm went off on her bracelet.

She answered it and Okoye appeared on it.

"Where is T'Challa? His Kimoyo bead has been switched off." she said and Ross walked over to watch and try to touch the projection.

"He's not here. Why…" she asked confused.

"A man showed up at the border who claims to have killed Klaue." she replied.

"What!" Laura said angrily.

"W'Kabi is transporting him as we speak to the palace. We need to find your husband." she warned.

"An outsider?" Shuri asked.

"No, A Wakandan." Okoye said and projected a headshot which Laura recognized as the man who was shooting at them at the CIA hideout in Busan.

Ross recognized him as well.

"He's not a Wakandan. He's one of ours."

It didn't take long for Laura to find T'Challa,

Walking towards the cliffside where they were married at.

Seeing him sitting down and staring off towards the horizon.

"I knew I'd find you here." she said, sitting down next to him.

"I wasn't hiding." He smiled faintly but Laura saw the look in his eyes.

"What's wrong?" she frowned and he took a deep breath.

Telling her everything.

About his Uncle.

His War Dog assignment in America.

How he had betrayed Wakanda and had Zuri spy on him unknowingly to him.

And when T'Chaka tried to arrest him, he had to kill his own brother… and leave his son behind who was the man that Ross said was one of theirs.

It was a lot to take in.

Laura always admiring King T'Chaka greatly.

"He killed his own brother… and left a child behind with nothing. What kind of King… what kind of man does that?" he asked her in disbelief.

She placed his hand between hers.

"Nobody is perfect T'Challa. I've made many mistakes I regret deeply. Your father is no different from anyone else." she tried comforting him.

"He didn't even give him a proper burial. My Uncle N'Jobu betrayed us , but my father may have created something even worse." he warned her.

"Hey, look at me…" she cupped his cheek, turning his head towards her.

"Whatever it is we'll deal with it together. Okay?" she said and kissed him.

"Speaking of, Okoye needs you regarding this. This man showed up at the border."

They rejoined Shuri, Okoye and Ross in the lab who was debriefing them on his agent.

"Eric Stevens. Graduated Annapolis age 19. MIT for grad school. Joined the SEALs and went to Afghanistan where he racked up confirmed kills like it was a video game. They him Killmonger. He joined a JSOC ghost unit. Now these guys are serious. They will drop off the grid so they can commit assassinations and take down governments." he warned.

"Did he reveal anything about his identity?" T'Challa asked.

"He has a War Dog tattoo but we have no record of him." Shuri answered.

Laura frowned.

T'Challa summoned the council elders and his mother in the Throne room and Laura dressed up and took her place.

Feeling the tension in the room.

"Is this man Wakandan or not?" the River Tribe elder demanded.

Killmonger was escorted into the Throne Room in chains by W'Kabi and his men.

He tensely stepped next to T'Challa as Killmonger stood in the middle of the throne room.

"Speak." T'Challa ordered in Wakandan.

"Speak." Laura translated for him in English, failing to hid her disdain for him.

"I'm standing in your house. Serving justice to a man who stole your Vibranium and murdered your people. Justice your King couldn't deliver." he taunted.

T'Challa got up angrily, flanked by the Dora so he could whisper to him.

"I don't care that you brought Klaue, the only reason I don't kill you where you stand is because I know who you are… now what do you want?" he hissed.

"I want the throne." Killmonger said bluntly.

Laura narrowed her eyes at him as the room scoffed and laughed.

"Y'all sittin' up here comfortable. Must feel good. There's about two billion people all over the world that looks like us but their lives are a lot harder, Wakanda has the tools to liberate them all. Your Queen knows about it." he said and Laura clenched the arm rests of her seat to the point her knuckles turned white.

"And what tools are those?" T'Challa asked him.

"Vibranium. Your weapons." he said darkly.

"Our weapons will not be used to wage war on the world . It is not our way to be judge jury and executioner for people who are not our own." he argued.

"Not your own? But didn't life start here, on this continent? So ain't all people your people?" Killmonger countered.

"I am not King of all people. I am King of Wakanda. And it is my responsibility to make sure our people are safe and that Vibranium does not fall into the hands of a person like you." T'Challa said but Laura got up.

"My King, we've had enough of this. Reject what he's asking!" she spat.

"Oh, I aint requesting nothing my Queen. Ask who I am?" he demanded T'Challa.

"You are Eric Stevens. An American black operative. A mercenary nicknamed Killmonger. That's who you are." Shuri answered for him.

"That's not my name, Princess. Ask me, King?" he asked through his teeth.

"No."

"Ask me." he repeated.

"Take him away…" he ordered and began to walk back to the throne.

"Who are you?" the River Tribe elder spoke up.

"I am N' Jadaka, son of Prince N'Jobu!" he shouted, stunning everyone.

"The son of N'Jobu?" the Mining Tribe elder asked in disbelief.

"I found my daddy with Panther claws in his chest. You ain't the son of a King you're the son of a murderer!" he accused T'Challa.

"You're lying! Lies!" Ramonda screamed.

"I'm afraid not Queen Mother." W'Kabi said and held up a familiar looking gold necklace and ring for everyone to see.

Ramonda held out her hand and he placed it in her palm.

"Hey Auntie." Killmonger glared at her. "I'm exercising my blood right to challenge for the mantles of King. and Black Panther." he declared.

Silencing everyone but Laura rushed up to T'Challa. "You don't have to do this T'Challa." she begged him.

Hating the tradition.

He looked down at her.

"As the son of N'Jobu he is within his rights." the Border Tribe elder reminded her.

"He has no rights here!" Ramonda shouted.

"The challenge would take weeks to prepare." The Rive Tribe Elder added.

"Weeks? I don't need weeks. The whole country ain't gotta be there I just need him... and somebody to get me out of these chains!" Killmonger proposed.

Laura looking between him and T'Challa.

An uneasy feeling forming in her stomach at what was about to happen.
