Somewhere in the city of Japan...
Moans could be heard in the streets of Japan as rain began to fall. The moans echoed through the alleyways of the evening, but they weren't the sounds of the walking dead.
No.
It was the moans and sounds of pleasure coming from inside an abandoned school bus that still held student survivors from Fujimi High School. Along with one Koichi Shido, who was sitting in the back of the bus watching his student engage in sexual activity. He just watched with a sickening and disturbing grin as he quietly chuckled evilly as the male and female students moaned with pleasure.
But one girl, who sat in the front of the bus away from the others, did not want to participate. She had never been one to turn down an opportunity to have sex, but not when it was in situations like this. Not when it was a full on orgy and the students would trade one partner off to another when they were done. No. She didn't want any part of being treated like an object or toy that could be passed around.
This is Miku Yuuki. A young Japanese schoolgirl with fair skin, light orange hair, and amber yellow eyes. Still wearing her Fujimi High School uniform, she sits curled up in a front row seat of the bus. Looking back and forth between the activity in the bus and the buses exit, she contemplates whether or not she should take her chances and leave the bus, or stay there with Shido and abandon him and his ilk when they reach somewhere that's safe.
She was heavily considering the latter. It was only solidified when one of the male students walked over to her with a lustful expression on his face as he licked his lips.
"Hey, there, Miku-chan. Why don't you come join us? You'll feel good and it will take your mind off of what's going on." He says while reaching out for her. "Come on. You've never been against sex before. So, why now?" He continues as his hand is within reach of her.
Now fearing for her life, and her sanity, Miku screams in fear before roughly pushing him away then quickly opens the bus door to run out into the pouring rain. She runs down the street sobbing as she tries her best to avoid the undead if she can help it.
She quickly darts behind cover in an alleyway as she hears the male student scream and shout insulting slurs in the distance.
"YOU FUCKING SLUT!!! YOU WANT TO BE OUT HERE WITH THEM?! FINE!!! RUN AMONGST THEM IF YOU WANT TO!!! MAYBE YOU'LL HAVE A BETTER CHANCE TO SURVIVE THIS HELL BY SPREADING YOUR LEGS OPEN FOR THOSE FUCKING CORPSES!!!" He shouts then suddenly gets dragged back in the bus by Shido before the doors close.
Trying to stay quiet, Miku whimpers with sadness as she waits a few moments before quietly leaving her spot in the alleyway.
"I... I have to get to the Takagi Mansion. I remember people passing by the bus a few days ago that the Takagi's have fortified their home and are open to helping survivors. I just hope that they'll help me." She thinks to herself before making her way in the direction of the Takagi's. "Saeko-san... I'm so sorry. I should've gone with you, I wanted to go with you, but I was... I was too afraid." She continues to think as she slowly walks away from the alley to head towards her new destination.
All the while blinking and wiping away her tears.
Takagi Mansion, Courtyard...
Jack had decided that he wanted to take a small stroll through the courtyard before it got too dark as the sun was setting. Walking up the large fountain in the middle of the courtyard, Jack sat down on the edge and watches the water flow as he looks at his reflection in the water.
A part of him was wondering where his mother had gone to after she left the video recording on the computer back at the, now destroyed, JPD. Another part of him was just hoping and praying that she was alright. And alive.
He sighs closing his eyes before he feels a tap on his knee. Looking at who was tapping him, he sees a young little boy looking up at him. "K-Konnichiwa." The young boy says timidly to Jack, but there was also a hint of fear in his eyes.
Jack smiles and nods at him. "Konnichiwa." He replies to him. "Is there something I can help you with, kid?" He asks him curiously. For the days that Jack has been at the Takagi Mansion, he has not once had a child walk up to him.
The little boy shakes his head quickly at Jacks question. "No, no. Nothing. I'm just... I would like to ask you something." He says to him. Jack nods and waits for his question. "Is... Is it true that you fought monsters on the way here to Takagi-sans mansion? Are there still monsters in the city?" The little boy asks him curiously, but also fearfully.
Jack thinks about whether to answer that question or not. He didn't want to lie to the boy, but he didn't want to frighten him either.
Before he could even answer, however, the boys mother calls out to him when she sees him with Jack. "Isa! What are you doing near that man?" She shouts frantically as she quickly runs over to her son and scoops him up into her arms. "I don't want you anywhere near my son, murderer! Understand?! I don't want you corrupting his mind and turning him into a monster like you!" She continues shouting and backs away from Jack as people in the courtyard, hearing the woman's frantic and hysterical shouting, begin to look.
Jack flinches at being called a monster, but says nothing before turning to walk away from the situation and not make it any worse. "What?! Nothing to say, murderer?! Huh?! Why are you walking away from me?! Say something! Murderers always have something to say about being called killers! Say something, damn it!" She shouts following close behind him, trying to rile him up and get a rise out of him. She instead makes him stop to look at her with a side glare that shuts her up.
Unnerved and frightened, she backs away from Jack slowly with her son in her arms and gulps loudly. "You stay away from me and my son. You hear me? Or I will have you shot or thrown back to the streets. You are not making my son into a killer like you." She says to him one last time before walking away as her son, Isa, looks on at him with sadness. Jack continues glaring at the woman's back as she walks away while he clenches his shaking fists.
Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, Jack looks away from the woman's retreating figure then walks away from the fountain to head back inside the mansion.
The witnesses in the courtyard all shake their heads at the woman's antics before going back to what they were doing before the woman began shouting.
Takagi Mansion, Library...
Saeko stood inside the mansion library near a large table after she had asked Souichiro for some maps to look at where she and her group want to go.
Looking at the places that Souichiro and his men have been to since the initial outbreak, there were a lot of places that were crossed off with a red marker to show that these areas had either no survivors, or whatever survivors there were at those areas, were now among the undead.
Sighing, Saeko rubs her forehead with slight frustration. "There's not a lot of places that we can go to start looking for survivors. Many of the areas around here on the map are marked off in red and we can't backtrack to where we started because whatever survivors there are won't leave their homes. If they haven't been turned by this point." She thinks to herself before sighing again. She only looks up when she hears footsteps coming into the library.
Walking away from the table to find out who is now in the library with her, Saeko discovers Jack sitting on one of the chairs near the huge book shelves with a look of frustration and sadness.
Sighing deeply, she walks over to him as he looks up at her. He slowly wraps his arms around her waist as they both hold each other tightly. "Babe, what's wrong? You looked happier a while ago. What happened?" She asks him worriedly.
Jack says nothing at first, he just sighs deeply before looking up at her. "I just got to experience what Vincent was telling us about." He tells her with sadness. She looks down at him with worry. "What do you mean?" She asks him curiously.
He goes on to explain what had happened outside only moments earlier. The boy, his mother, her calling him a monster, the people that listened and watched, everything.
After he was done explaining, he looks up at her to see her shaking with rage and anger. "Saeko..." He calls to her, but she ignores him and tries to head outside to find and confront the woman, but Jack quickly grabs her and restrains her so she doesn't do anything she might regret or get her into huge trouble with the people and the owning residents of the mansion. "Jack, let me go right now. That bitch needs to be taught a lesson." She whispers angrily to him, but he shakes his head.
"No, Saeko. She's not worth it. You'll only be proving her right and you'll end up hurting her son mentally than physically. Don't hurt a child just because his mother is an ignorant idiot. Be better than this, Saeko." He warns her carefully.
She turns to look at him with tears building up in her eyes before she shakes him off of her to hug him. He hugs her back while softly rubbing her back. "Why? Why defend them when they don't deserve to be protected, Jack? Why defend those that don't deserve it?" She asks him tearfully. Jack just sighs deeply before kissing the top of her head. "Because if we bring ourselves down to their level, we'd be no better than they are. Besides..." He answers her before pausing, making her look up at him.
"We have more important things to worry about than a bunch of morons that think they know what's going on, when they don't. We have to make our preparations. If we have to listen to them shout and yell in the meantime, then so be it. We can take it. And by "we" I mean you too, Saeko. You're better than a bunch of idiots who want to be the loudest ones in the room. Confidence is quiet. And you've always been the quiet one, babe." He finishes his answer with a smile, making her let out a small laugh before nodding her head.
Taking a deep breath, Saeko kisses Jack softly before wiping her tears away. "Alright. Let's go and take a look at the map and see where we can go to start looking for survivors. There aren't many places we can go though." She informs him as they both walk back over to the library table that had all the maps. "If we want to head further into the city and find the survivors, we'll have to take the bullet train nearby. It's not that far and hopefully it still works and the power is still running too. If not, then we'll be hoofing it on foot for several days, and I honestly don't think that little Alice-chan will be up for that kind of journey." She tells him as they look at the maps.
Jack nods in agreement with her statement. "Yeah, I don't think she'll be able to make that kind of journey either. Even though she's been at this for several days with her dad before meeting you guys, I don't think she'll be able to go for several days, or more, of being on the street just to get to another part of Japan." He says as he looks back and forth between Saeko and the city maps.
Saeko looks over at Jack with concern and curiosity. "So, what are we going to do?" She asks him, making him think for a moment to figure out what they should do before they have to head out.
He then snaps his fingers. "Let's go ask some of Souichiro's men and find out if any of their men have been near the train station. We can ask them if the station has or had any power left since the last time they've been there. It's been over a week now since the outbreak started, so hopefully if the station is still running, it's running on normal or backup power. We'll know for sure when we start asking around. Once we have an answer, we can start planning more." He tells her confidently with a smile.
Saeko, liking his plan, nods and gathers some of the maps into her arms. "Alright then, let's go and ask if Takagi-sans men know anything." She says before they both walk out of the library to start asking questions and gathering the necessary information.
Meanwhile, with Ada and Leon...
Ada and Leon walked down one of the many hallways of the Takagi mansion before that hallway lead them outside with the sun beginning to set. Ada turns her head to look at Leon and smiles. "This is actually quite nice, Leon. Don't you think? No fighting, no shooting, no zombies, just a walk and spending time with one another." She says to him with a bright smile on her face.
Leon looks at her and almost pauses but keeps walking. "A smile." He says simply. She turns and looks at him with confusion. "What?" She asks curiously.
Leon looks back at her and chuckles. "Your smile. It's nice to see a real smile on your face for once." He says as they both continue walking. Ada smiles widely as they both reach the garden in the back of the mansion.
They walk over to one of the stone benches and both sit down while looking around them and examining their surroundings.
Leon takes a moment before finally deciding to ask the question that's been on his mind. "What brings you here, Ada? It can't honestly be to help people. You or this... new organization you work for. Or this Vincent Thorne." He says with an accusing tone.
Ada sighs deeply and chuckles while shaking her head. "Business before pleasure, right, Leon? Always business with you." She begins before looking at her on and off again friend. "Vincent and I are here to help Leon. People don't always stay the same forever. Not even me. I've changed a lot since you and I last saw each other with the Los Iluminados. And Vincent? He gave me a chance to actually do something with my life. He's taught me things and I've taught him things too. Vincent and the Athena organization wants nothing more than to help those that can't help or defend themselves. Vincent and his family offered me to actually make something of myself and do something more with my life than just stealing for other organizations that only end up hurting others." She tells him as Leon just sits and listens to every word she says, but a part of him is screaming and yelling at him to not believe her.
"I know that I've been sending you... mixed signals for so many years, Leon." She continues before pausing to laugh at her little joke, but she continues after a moment. "But I've considered you one of my friends for a long time now. Our... Our paths have been intertwined and bound together since Raccoon City. After it was destroyed, I had hoped and prayed that you made it out alive, and if you had, I would've been fine with not seeing you ever again, but... it didn't mean that I didn't want to." She continues as tears begin to build up in her eyes as Leon continues to listen and look on in shock.
"Jump six years after Raccoon City to Spain, I finally get an answer to my question that had been haunting me for so many years. You survived, Leon. And even though I hid it during that the time, I was overjoyed to know you survived. But just like you, business before pleasure." She lightly laughs before continuing. "I had a job, you had a job. They were just... completely different. After that, I got the job done for Wesker and I was no longer under his employment. It was a few years after that that I met Vincent during a job in Los Angeles. After that, I think you can figure out the rest. I joined Athena and I haven't looked back since. It was... the best decision I ever made. I haven't looked back since." She says with a smile.
But for some reason, Leon wasn't having it. He grabs Ada roughly and stands up with her. "Ada, enough with the bullshit! Stop lying to me and tell me the truth! For once! The truth! Why are you and Vincent here?!" He shouts, shocking her, but she understands why he's acting this way. Her playing him and lying for so many years since they both met in Raccoon City, he can't even tell if she's telling the truth and being sincere or not.
She calmly places her hands on his arms and slowly pushes them away. "Leon, I understand why you don't trust me, but I'm telling you the truth. I am. Vincent and I, we only want to help. There's no ulterior motive here. Vincent wants to help, and so do I. Whether you believe me or not is up to you, but I'm telling you the truth." She tells him as he looks at her with a look of distrust.
Ada lowers her head and gazes at the ground for a moment before looking back at at Leon with genuine sincerity. "Now, I'm going to go get things prepared with Vincent for when the supplies and resources arrive. What you choose to do until that time is up to you. But I have a job to do, Leon. And so do you. So, are you going to sit here and keep interrogating me, or do you actually want to help the people here? I'll leave that answer to you." She says with finality before she walks away from him.
Leon stood there, once again, with a look of shock before inhaling then sighing deeply. He shakes his head and rubs his hands over his face before deciding to walk back into the mansion as the sun continued to set.
Later that night, 2:30 am...
It's late in the night and rain is pouring down all over Japan. "Hold there! Who are you?! State your business!" Shouts a security guard of the Takagi mansion patrolling the mansion gates. He spots a silhouette in the distance near the main gate. More security guards approach the main gate and wait for the figure to respond.
The figure quickly throws their hands up as the guards points their assault rifles at the figure. "Please! Help me! I'm unarmed! I'm a survivor! My name is Yuuki Miku! I'm a... I'm a friend of Busujima Saeko! Please let me in!" Miku pleadingly shouts at the guards.
The guards all look at each other before one of them orders one of them looks at one of the younger guards. "Fetch Lord Takagi and Busujima Saeko." He says as the young man nods and runs inside the mansion.
5 minutes later...
Miku is kneeling down in the mansion courtyard shivering from the cold as multiple Takagi security guards have her surrounded, watching her closely. Souichiro and Yuriko soon walks out with Saeko and Jack to see what is so important that they had to be woken up in the middle of the night.
Miku, seeing Saeko, gasps and stands up quickly, making the guards raise their rifles at her. Freezing from the sight of guns pointed soley at her, Miku restrains from running towards Saeko But at the sight of Jack, another one of her friends, she loses all restraint and instantly runs towards him to embrace him in a hug before losing all feeling in her legs as she and Jack slowly lower down to the floor.
Jack hugs Miku close as Saeko looks at both of them in shock. She looks at the Takagi guards, who were still pointing their rifles at Miku, before she looks at Souichiro and Yuriko. "Tell them to stand down. She's a friend. It's ok." She says to them with a nod.
Souichiro and Yuriko look uncertain for a moment before they both look at Jack. Jack, still hugging a now sobbing and trembling Miku, look up at them and nods. "Please. It's ok." He tells them both.
Still not convinced, but deciding to trust Jack and Saeko, Souichiro looks at his guards and motions for them to lower their rifles and stand down.
Looking back at Miku, Jack wipes her hair off her face as Saeko kneels down beside them. "Miku, what happened? How did you get here on your own? Where've you been?" He asks her as Saeko rubs his back gently while Miku mumbles incoherently.
"I'll tell you later, Jack." She tells him before looking at Miku to try and calm her down. "Miku? Miku. Listen to me. Take deep breaths and calm down. Your safe now." She tells her as Miku shakes her head while trying to say something, but Saeko shakes her head.
"Miku, I know what you're trying to say. It's ok. I'm not mad at you. Ok?" She tells her, making Miku pause for a moment. She looks at Saeko and sighs deeply before sobbing again in Jacks arms.
Rubbing her back gently and whispering soothingly to her, Jack and Saeko both lift her up to her feet as they begin walking towards the stairs.
She suddenly stops and looks at them while shaking her head. "N-no, w-wait." She says to them with a trembling voice. She sits down on the steps of the stairs while trying to catch her breath. "I... I have to tell you this. Y-You have to know." She tells them as they nod and wait for her to tell them.
Souichiro and Yuriko, after telling the guards to resume their patrol, walks up behind them and was about to ascend the stairs before Miku stops them. "L-Lord a-and L-Lady T-Takagi, y-you'll want to h-hear this t-too." She says to them.
The two Takagi's both look at each other before looking back at the three young teens and nodding for the young girl to continue.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself and to stop stumbling over her words, Miku looks at her two friends and the Lord and Lady Takagi with a serious face. "Shido Koichi." She said simply.
The name alone made Jack, Saeko, Souichiro and Yuriko feel uneasy. Whatever the mans name was tied to, it wasn't good news.
"What about him, Miku? What is so important about a man no one cares about?" Jack asks her with curiosity, but also concern.
Miku slicks her hair back and out of her face before looking at the four people in front of her. "Because he's coming. Here to Takagi Mansion." She says before looking at the owners of said mansion.
"And he says he has plans for any and all survivors here."
