While Qrow and Summer were having their reunion, Ozpin was in a meeting with Ironwood about an incident.

"I'm telling you ozpin. You should let atlas search the crash site." Ironwood said. "James… this is an unknown occurrence. We allowed you to scout the area. What you're proposing is out of your jurisdiction." Goodwitch said as a hologram appeared on Ozpin's desk of an unidentified ship. Ozpin thought a bit before noticing an emblem on the vessel.

"Glynda," he said interrupting his vice headmaster and the atlas general's argument. "Yes headmaster?" she asked. "Please bring Bad batch here. I require their opinion on this ship." Glynda nodded and left. "Ozpin, we can handle this without them." Ozpin glanced at ironwood with an expression that made the general take a step back. "This ship may be from their home James."

MEANWHILE BACK AT THE BAD BATCH'S HUB OF OPERATIONS

"So, team STRQ huh." Hunter said to summer and Qrow. "Mind telling me about it?" Qrow shook his head. "No offence, but it's personal hunter." Summer said. Outrider frowned. "He wasn't asking. Mrs. Rose." He said. This made both Qrow and Summer to look at him.

"Yang's looking for her biological mother. Yin told us a bit about her, but its not enough." Bad batch and the RWBY clones looked to them. "When we aren't doing missions for Ozpin… we're helping yang find her." Hunter continued for the group's heavy gunner." Summer frowned. "Let me guess you're going to hack beacon's records for info on our old team." Qrow said. "As a last resort," Tech said. "Outrider and yang were insisting about asking you two first. We know her name is Raven Branwen, and that she's your sister Qrow."

"Ask Oz." Qrow said before being picked up by Wrecker. "We prefer to hear it from your mouth bird boy." The muscle of bad batch said. "She was my friend and partner during my time at beacon." Summer said. "I didn't know much of her past only that she and Qrow came from a tribe in mistral."

Hunter nodded as Goodwitch entered the hub. 'That narrows the search area down to one kingdom, but we still don't know what she looks like. even yin doesn't know.' Outrider thought. "Ozpin wants to talk with you." She said to hunter. "Understood." He looked to Yang, Blake, and Velvet. You three should get back to class." The three nodded and left.

LATER

"What do you need Ozpin?" hunter asked. "I have both a question and a mission for you." the headmaster said. "But first, introductions are in order. Bad batch, this is James Ironwood. He's the leader of the atlas military, and the headmaster of its huntsman academy." Ozpin gestured to the man standing next to him.

"A pleasure to finally met you sergeant." Ironwood said. "Likewise, just don't expect us trust you just yet." Hunter said. "So, Ozpin what do you have for us." Instead of answering he brought up an image. Do you recognize this ship. "That's a Theta-class attack shuttle, but how's one here?" Echo said. "it's crashed near Mount Glenn. We were hoping you could retrieve it for us to study." Ironwood said. "No, we'll scavenge it for anything WE can use after that we'll destroy it. With all do respect general, that technology shouldn't be in anyone's hands here. Especially yours. No negotiations."

"We understand." Ozpin said before Ironwood could argue. "However, this time we would like something in return." Outrider said glancing at Tech. "That would be…" the headmaster asked. "Information and a photo of a Miss Raven Branwen." Tech said. "Why?" ozpin asked. "We're helping yang get her answers. if you refuse, we'll take them by force." Crosshair said.

Ozpin nodded. "I can give you a photo, but it will take time for the information to be given to you." He said transferring a file to Hunter's holoprojector. "Damn, like mother like daughter." Wrecker said seeing the hologram of yang's mom. Outrider noticed a bird outside a window watching them. Far too intently. "Hunter. We may have first contact with her this mission." He whispered to the sergeant, who gave an unnoticeable nod. "We'd also like to have Qrow accompany us."

"Why am I with you again? The drunkard asked. "To talk about your sister and your past before beacon." Qrow was surprised, but relented. "Our tribe stole and killed. Raven and I were sent to beacon not to become huntsmen, but learn how to kill them as they were a pain in the ass for us."

Bad batch, sapphire, and jade (whom was asked to tag along in wrecker and echo's place) frowned at this. "But as time went on, she and I gained friends in summer and Taiyang." Qrow said his expression darkening. "My guess why she abandoned yang was that she was afraid to be a mom and to keep her safe from the tribe itself."

Outrider noticed the same bird from Ozpin's office on a tree branch. He frowned before approaching it. "I know you heard all of that. Let's talk… Raven."

The bird squawked in surprised before flying off behind a few trees. "Seriously, accusing a bird being the biological mother of Yin's template?" Jade asked eyebrow raised. Suddenly a feminine voice rang out.

"How'd you know." A masked woman asked stepping out from behind a tree. "A raven and a crow have black eyes yours were red." Outrider said sending a silent signal to tech and hunter to set blasters to stun.

"So, what're you doing her Rae?" Qrow asked. "What do you think Qrow?" Sapphire asked. "She's after what we're going for." Raven smiled. Very perceptive… Who are you?" she asked. "My designation is HC-001, by my friends call me Sapphire."

"Considering that you outnumber me and most likely can overpower me. this is where we part." Raven said preparing to leave. "No, you're coming with us." Hunter said. "How will you make me trooper?" the bandit leader asked. "Two words." Tech said.

Raven glanced over her shoulder. And those words would be…?" she asked. "Summer Rose." Outrider said. hearing the name of her presumably deceased partner caused raven to tense. "She's alive Miss Branwen. Raven tightened her grip on her weapon. Qrow frowned before realizing what Outrider was doing.

"You're lying." Raven said as a lone tear began to fall. Out of everyone of team STRQ, Summer was the only one, besides Taiyang, that she had a extremely strong bond that Raven considered summer to be a sister in all but blood.

"he's telling the truth Rae. Summer's alive. I saw her." Qrow said. "Come home Rae. Come and see her." Raven's grip on her sword lessened. "Outrider is it?" she asked gaining the heavy gunner's attention.

"How did you of all people earn my daughter's love?" Raven asked. "Sheer dumb luck and a kind heart." Outrider said.

Raven laughed. "Your just like Tai. Just don't break her heart." She said before griping her sword. "Its best she and I don't meet." Outrider frowned. "Yang's been looking for you to answer some questions. If you won't come with us willingly. We will stun you." Hunter said as he, Tech, Crosshair, and Outrider aimed their blasters at the ravenette. "Trust me Rae. From the stories I've heard about them from Yang. They could easily dispatch the entire tribe within minutes." Qrow said.

"I'll make sure no Grimm are near the crash site." Raven said once again relinquishing her grip on her sword. "I'm staying with you to see what you say about summer is true, not to answer Yang's questions."

That said, raven turned into her bird form and took off. "Think she'll keep her word?" Jade asked. "If it's related to summer… yeah she will." Qrow said.

LATER

"It's definitely a Theta-Class shuttle." Hunter said. "Where are the bodies though?" Jade asked. "Grimm probably." Raven said before Qrow called out from inside the shuttle. "Hey , I think we got a survivor here." Outrider looked to Sapphire and jade. "Watch her." Outrider said before entering the shuttle.

"Who is… it?" he asked before seeing his squamates' faces that seemed to be in a state of shock. Looking to his left he saw the reason. The clone in the seat was one he recognized. His helmet had extra markings but there was no mistaking who it was. "Commander… Cody?" Outrider said looking at the unconscious clone.

A/N: Dun Dun Dun! Another chapter done. What's the Bad Batch's old CO doing on remnant plus Raven makes her debut, but what about the situation with Salem? You'll have to wait and see.
