Chapter 6: Don't Be A Jerk (It's Christmas)

A lone squirrel ran across the snow covered forest floor. He stopped and dug into the ground, coming up with an acorn. At that moment, loud thudding footsteps echoed throughout the vicinity. The squirrel gasped and quickly ran off into a hollow tree. The squirrel panted as he sat within the tree, only to freeze when he heard loud knocking by something big and strong.

The squirrel gulped, and he nervously poked his head out of the hole in the tree. His eyes widened when he saw Papa Bear towering above him. The bear stared back down at the squirrel, then smiled and dropped a small sack of acorns in front of the rodent.

"Merry Christmas, little sir," Papa Bear said jovially.

The squirrel's jaw dropped at this, then started chuckling and fell flat on his back.

Mama Bear walked over to a large tree and started hanging ears of corn on the tree limbs while singing.

Bring joy to the world, it's the thing to do

But the world does not revolve around you

Don't be a jerk. . .

It's Christmas!

Birds flew down and happily ate the corn.

Goldi used her staff to clear snow off of some burrow entrances while singing.

Don't make smart remarks about someone's dress

Watch where you're going, don't make a mess

Don't be a jerk. . .

It's Christmas!

A couple of foxes peaked their heads out and yipped gratefully.

Baby Bear juggled carrots as he walked along through the forest. He had a big grin on his face as he sang and tossed carrots out around him.

Be nice to babies and animals, old folks too

'Cause that's how you'd like them to treat you

Don't relieve yourself in rivers or waterfalls

Don't you wreck my house when you deck the halls

Spit your chicle where it won't wind up under my paw

Smiles and laughs are good for your jaw

Don't be a jerk. . .

It's Christmas!

It's Christmas!

Rabbits popped their heads up out of the snow and quickly snatched up carrots and ate joyously.

Papa plodded around the forest, singing while holding a big bowl full of assorted nuts and seeds in his paws.

When others are talking never interrupt

Don't put people down or leave the toilet seat up

It's the time for family and holly and turkey

'Tis the season to be jolly, not jerky!

Papa continued singing as he scattered the nuts and seeds around.

Don't dig in my porridge for goodness sakes

Ask for your own bowl, that's all it takes

Don't be a jerk. . .

It's Christmas!

More squirrels came out and accepted the windful with wide eyed gratitude.

The family returned to their cabin, with Goldi leading the way and leading the song.

If you got nearly every gift on your list

Why whine about the one that got missed?

Don't be a jerk. . . (don't be a jerk)

It's Christmas!

It's Christmas!

Don't be a jerk. . . (don't be a jerk)

It's Christmas!

Don't be a jerk. . . (don't be a jerk)

It's Christmas!

The family all entered their cabin to turn in for that magical sleep that happens once a year on the night of nights: Christmas Eve.
