Learning to wing it
Waking up to the sound of ringing in his ears alongside a heartrate monitor, Izuku felt his eyes flutter open to the ceiling of a hospital room, feeling his right arm tingling, he looked down to see the IV needle being forced out of his wrist with particles of embers rising from his skin, deciding to pull it out himself, Izuku watched as his skin rippled before settling.
Frowning at hearing distant sounds, Izuku reached to scratch his head in confusion before freezing.
Feeling something above his head with his fingers, Izuku felt them twitch against his wishes before his head shot to the left, hearing far more voices than expected… farther away.
Reaching for the side of his head to feel bare skin, where his ears should have been, Izuku began to panic if not for Loki to appear from nowhere, making him move to scream if not for the wolf man's hand to keep his mouth shut.
"Easy kid, you've got my power on at the moment" gesturing to his own wolf ears, Izuku's eyes widened in excitement.
"I hav-" before he could say more, Loki vanished.
'You don't need to actually speak with you're mouth izzy, just think a thought and we'll all hear it' frowning at the response, Izuku sent a mental response.
'Does that mean I have telepathy?' feeling several auras of amusement, a synthesized voice responded.
'No, I mean we've dealt with crazy telepaths but we've never really tried recruiting one, have we?' the one to answer this voice was Hoshi.
'No, we've left the ones we've befriended because they were needed in their home dimensions' looking around the room while moving to the bedside, Izuku looked down at himself to see the hospital gown.
"Where's my clothes?" feeling the aura of Loki focus on him, his voice spoke.
'Oh, let me get that for you' frowning in confusion of his words, Izuku gave a small yelp as the gown he wore was burnt to ash before his body wore a new set of clothing.
Looking down to a black skin-tight shirt with white sleeves reaching to his wrists, his legs wore a pair of jeans with boots with a triangle steel cap on display.
Standing up to feel the clothing solid and not a figment of his imagination, Izuku felt his heart lighten as his mind spoke with hope.
'I have power!' getting a group laugh from the heroes in his mind, Loki spoke.
'You have more than power Izuku…' looking to the left to see Loki on the bed with a grin, his face becoming wolf like as his canines grew while his amber eyes glowed.
'You're closer to a god than anyone in this world, all we have to do, is show them what a weakling can do' grinning back at him, the two suddenly turned to the rooms doorway to hear rushed footsteps approaching.
Looking around for an escape for some odd reason, Loki pointed to a window, giving him a look of alarm, Loki spoke.
"If I can survive orbital re-entries you can most likely survive a fall from" looking out the window with a frown, he turned back to Izuku with a nod of affirmation.
"Seven stories" giving the man an incredulous look, Loki shrugged.
"What, I was curious" before the two could say or do anything else, the form of Inko Midoriya rushed in with tears in her eyes.
"IZUKU!" turning away from Loki as he vanished from sight, Izuku was gripped in a death grip of a hug by his mother as a doctor followed through tiredly, and seeing Izuku being choked indirectly, the man went to speak if not for two things to happen.
One, Izuku gave an uncharacteristic growl.
Second, his entire being exploded into a cloud of ash, suffocating the room with the smoke and glowing ashes before correlating into a shape away from Inko, leaving the doctor and Mother staring at an equally stunned Izuku, whose amber eyes glow faded into a bright emerald as he stared at his mother with a bright smile.
"Mom, I have a Quirk" seeing her eyes widen in awe, the mother spoke as she stared at Izuku's now canine ears.
"This is amazing!" cheering for her son as he smiled shyly, the doctor spoke to his mother while Izuku looked to his hand before the blonde woman appeared beside him, humming happily to herself as she watched the mother and doctor speaking.
"I'm Alua by the way" getting a smile from the girl, Izuku blushed before Loki appeared from nowhere.
"There you are, Cayde needs ya help" seeing her nod, Loki smiled as she vanished with Izuku being dragged out of the room by his excited mother, all the while the doctor had an amused smile as Izuku spoke excitedly with his mother before a woman stepped into the room.
turning to the woman, Izuku geeked out at the presence of Recovery girl.
Closing the door behind them with bags of food to cook, Izuku was mentally talking to Loki who had as a way to pass the time, appeared in the most random locations with Izuku trying not to laugh as Loki made it a challenge, which Izuku appreciated.
Setting up the fruits and veg to be diced up, Inko watched in surprise as Izuku moved with the instructions of the Hooded man who had introduced himself as Alex Mercer, the being sitting on the window sill lazily.
Moving through the cooking halfway through the process, Izuku stopped at noticing the stunned look his Mother gave him.
"What?" watching her blink away her confusion, she spoke with a smile.
"Since when did you know how to cook?" smiling sheepishly as Alex cursed at the thought, Loki appeared on the ceiling.
"Just say you took online courses when she wasn't home"
"I took online courses, this is just the first time I'm cooking it myself" giving a sheepish look, Inko moved to a steaming pot of chicken, she took a whiff with her eyes closed… humming she turned to Izuku with a semi-serious look.
"I expect a lot of grandkids with whoever you whoo with this skillset" watching her move into the living room, Alex, Loki and Izuku watched her leave with Loki speaking.
"The first thing we're doing is removing that Stutter and make you more confident" giving a nod, Izuku was moved back to cooking with Alex remaining after Loki left.
Stepping around the mounds of trash and junk on the Beach, Izuku looked over the surrounding area with a frown.
"So what are we doing here?" looking around for his current passengers, Izuku stopped and stared at Loki as he sat on an old Washing Machine.
"We're gonna clear this beach and make it great again" giving a nod, Izuku looked around in confusion.
"Where am I gonna put it?" seeing Loki move to speak, he frowned in confusion before he spoke.
"No idea"
Looking around, Loki snapped his fingers while curling his fingers into a grabbing position, watching the wolf claw the air before Izuku jumped as a large steel tray manifested.
Leaving Izuku stunned and Loki clapping his hands of dust.
"Now we have a bin, so let's get to cleaning" giving a nod as he moved to a mound of abandoned toasters, Loki cleared his throat for attention, making Izuku turn to him as he grinned.
"We'll be doing this, with our power, give you a feel for it, practice it, you get me?" appearing beside Izuku whose eyes flashed amber, he felt his skin crawling suddenly.
Looking to his hands his eyes widened as they began growing alarmingly fast with the skin growing dark with black hair growing, feeling him lose his balance for a second, Izuku felt his face stretch with the sickening feeling of his teeth growing with pops and groans, falling onto his hands to notice he now had claws, Izuku breathed heavily as a large bushy tail swayed behind him, he stood up calmly while looking to his claws while Loki stepped into view with a wolfish grin.
"First you'll be practicing my power, Lycanthropy, don't worry I'm not contagious like most werewolf legends, this strand of lycanthropy has to be given willingly" smiling sadly as he looked down, he looked back up to Izuku with a grin.
"Now let's get to cleaning" getting a nod from Izuku as he reached for a fridge, he found it easy to lift with one arm, blinking at the weight, he decided to grab another before tossing them both into the trash bin, looking to his hands while flexing them, Izuku gave a feral grin as he continued.
Looking around for more trash to move, Izuku listened to Loki's instructions as the pile of trash began gaining height due to Izuku losing the track of time, the sound of a panicked voice made both Loki and Izuku turn to see a girl in mechanic coveralls with bright pink hair, her eyes zoomed to Izuku and the trash pile, before she screamed.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY STUFF!?" tilting his head at her, Izuku discreetly share a glance with Loki who shrugged.
"You need to learn how to speak to a girl, speak man, speak!" turning back to the girl as she began scavenging what little remained of the trash pile, Izuku gave a low rumble as his body shrunk. Rolling his shoulders as his body finished, he spoke with a wince.
"Sorry, I was training my, wait all this is your trash?" getting a look from the girl, she spoke while going way beyond Izuku's boundaries.
Leaving him sputtering like a tomato as she spoke loudly.
"THESE ARE MY SPARE PARTS!" pushing her away with Loki's Guidance, left Izuku accidently fondling her breasts as he pushed her away.
"Personal Space, please" seeing her back away willingly, she blinked as he stepped back while holding his hands behind his back.
"Just who the hell does that to someone's baby making parts" getting Izuku to blink, he spoke.
"I'm sorry w-what, how does one make a baby with spare parts, in fact what are your babies?" getting a frown form the girl, she spoke.
"My babies for my future support company!" seeing her smile brightly, Loki spoke beside Izuku, leaning down to stage whisper.
"We can use her help, you're other skills will require to learn a lot of technology" giving him a look, Loki shrugged.
"Cayde is a human soul inside a techno organic machine, the more you know about technology the better" rolling his eyes, Izuku turned to the girl whose was in the middle of ranting as she pulled apart an Oven.
"This part I can easily use to make a Laser cannon, this one I can use to make Magnetic gloves, and you're throwing them to the trash compacters!" clearing his throat with the girl turning to him, her eyes looked down for a split second before looking back to Izuku's eyes.
"Look, I didn't know this trash pile belonged to anyone until you got here, I've been clearing it out as a way for both community service and training my Quirk, I'm a late bloomer so I need to catch up with my peers" getting the sounds of multiple voices in his mind shouting "BOOOOO" and others like "Why bother wasting your time with those assholes". Izuku tried to keep his lips from smiling, the girl blinked before she spoke.
"So you're a late bloomer, huh. So that whole, big bad wolf look was you're Quirk?" getting a shrug, Izuku spoke with a large smile.
"Well, it's one of it's aspects" getting a confused look from the Girl, Izuku's wolf ears faded into his scalp for his human ears to grow back, the girl watched with intrigue before she screamed as his skin began burning, showing a charred skull laughing as her panic as she began smacking the fire, she stopped at his hysteric laughter, clamping his mouth shut at the demonic display of laughing, Izuku shrugged with the fire vanishing with his skin returning, showing a sheepish smile as the girl stared for a moment, before holding her hand out to Izuku.
"Hatsune Mei, what's your name"
"Midoriya Izuku" shaking the hand firmly, Izuku smiled as Loki began throwing invisible confetti around the two.
