Chapter 18
One Step Closer
On the road leading to Ken, the two rangers, the queen's carriage along with Claudia's Templers were all speeding down the road in order to reach Ken before the worst happened.
"Were not going to make it in time, even at our top speed it will still take hours before we reach Ken!" Alex shouted over the wind as he rode his unicycle.
"Unfortunately he's right, were just not fast enough like you two" Claudia added
With a click of his tongue Eric then hit the brakes on his Shark Cycle, bring it to a stop as well as the rest of the vehicles and horses with them.
"Darn it! This bites!" Eric shouted, slamming his fist against the front of the cycle
Walking out the carriage was Celestine as she looked at Eric with worry, along with everyone else.
"Eric, I'm afraid that is the way things are, we just aren't as technology advanced as you two" Celestine said making Eric sigh
"I know that, but there has to be some way to get there in time" Eric said leaning back in his seat
Eric then mulled it over in his head as he tried to figure out how to get to Ken faster, as well as everyone else. Eric sat there for almost a minute, just thinking hard…that is until an idea came to his mind. Eric then dismounted his bike, causing it to disappear, as he unsheathed Saba. Everyone looked at him in confusion, wondering what the Ranger was up to, everyone expect Alex as he crossed his arms and smirked under his helmet.
"Eric? What are you doing?" Celestine asked as Eric chuckled
"Figuring out a faster means of transport, not mention a way to stomp Vault's invading army" Eric said
He then raised his hand to the sky and in the distance everyone then could hear the distant sound of a roar, a tiger's roar.
"Just got a call an old friend… White Tiger Thunderzord power!"

Ken was a warzone right now, with men at the walls firing arrows at invading forces and flaming rocks were being lobbed from behind the walls by trebuchets. Why? Because of the largest army of Black Dogs and Monsters they had ever seen since this war had begun. There were hundreds if not thousands of mercenaries, Ogres, Orcs and other beasts as they marched to the walls of Ken. Luckily they were being held back by Ken's forces as well as some assistance from the other members of the Alliance.
"Archer's, reload and get ready to fire another volley!" Michal ordered as said archers did just that
Yes, both Michal and Kelvin were directing and ordering the soldiers of the attack and so far they were doing well. Alongside them was their respective lovers, along with Maia and Ruu-Ruu who were helping as well.
"Any news from Celestine or the Rangers?" Alicia asked making Michal and Kelvin sigh
"They said there on their way but it might be some time" Michal replied
Suddenly everyone stopped firing, which caught their attention. Looking at everyone the Rangers and Princess noticed everyone staring at something down on the battlefield.
"Hey, what's everyone looking at?" Ruu-Ruu asked
"I know what" Kelvin said looking over the wall
Everyone then looked as well and was surprised to see the army had stopped, now standing a few feet away from the wall. Suddenly the army then parted in half and down the middle came a very familiar figure, Vault.
"Should have known he would be here, after all with his ego of course he would want to be at the "fall" of Ken" Maia said with venom laced in her words
Vault then stood in front of his army, still having that same arrogant smirk he always had with his sword resting on his shoulder.
"Well, isn't this a nice surprise, after each and every one of you as escaped from my grasp, all of you will be mine now" Vault said causing everyone to sneer
"Why don't you come up here and say that to my face!" Ruu-Ruu shouted at the man below
"I concur, you are true fool to think you will succeed today" Kaguya added making Kelvin chuckle
"I'd agree with the lady, you've failed at every step of this "invasion" of yours, what makes your think this will be any different" Kelvin said
For a brief moment Vault's arrogant smirk disappeared, only to come back with an evil chuckle until it turned into a full blown laugh. Everyone looked at the man with confusion, wondering what the mad dictator was laughing about. Suddenly Vault then stopped laughing, causing everyone to tense up, he then signaled one of his men to come over and out of the crowd came a simply merc. In his hands was a large horn that seemed to be carved from an animal's horn. Vault then took the horn from the man and turned his back to the wall, until he then raised the horn to his lips and blew into it. The horn then erupted into a loud guttural sound, like that of monsters roar which everyone cringed at the sound until it stopped. At first nothing happened, all was still quiet making everyone thinks that it was just a bluff…that is until they heard a rumble. It started off slow and quiet until it started to get louder and louder until became defecating. Suddenly the ground then burst open causing dirt and rocks to be flung all about and out of the ground came a huge, serpentine like head. Then a second, then a third and soon enough there were six heads total and out the ground was a large reptilian body and tail, with black scales and a gray underbelly and each head had searing green eyes.
"Hydra!?" Kaguya shouted in fear at the large dragon
"Judging by the tone of your voice, I'd say this is bad" Michal said as Kaguya nodded
"Yes, it said that this monster was so strong, so savage, that not even Olga could control it" Kaguya explained
Suddenly the Hydra let out a roar, causing everyone to cover their ears from the sound. The Hydra then opened it maws and let lose three streams of fire at the wall causing the people to find cover or run from the flames. The monster didn't stop there however, it then let lose three more steams of flames from its maws which added heat to the already existing flames, evening causing the rocks to start to melt.
"This thing is out of control!" Kelvin shouted as he and the others backed away from the wall
"We need to call the zords, quickly!" Michal said
Kelvin nodded to this as he grabbed his control dagger and Michal raised his morpher up. They were about call their zords until suddenly a horrible pain erupted across their body causing them to scream out in pain.
"Michal!" Alicia shouted as she grabbed the collapsing ranger
"Kelvin!" Kaguya shouted as she grabbed her Ranger as well
As the two fell into their lovers arms they then demorphed in front of them as the two sheathed in pain.
"What was that?" Michal said trying to get back up
"I'm afraid that was my doing" a voice said
Looking over the wall they found a new person right next to Vault. He was short man with short brown hair and glasses around his eyes. It was Kin, Vault's best magic user and his second in command; this is actually the first time they saw the magician seeing as he stayed away from the fighting and tended to be more of a strategist.
"What's your business being here four eyes!?" Kelvin shouted at the magician as said man smirked
"Oh just to insure our victory" Kin said, pushing up his glasses with a smug grin, "I simply created a magic circle around the battle field that would deliver a …jolt if you two or any Ranger tries to summon your zords" Kin explained
The two Rangers could only glare at the mage in angry because how proud he was, only to be replaced with fear by the roar of the Hydra. Vault then laughed like a manic as the Hydra rained down fire again at the wall as everyone got to cover.
"Finally! I will soon have my empire and be treated as king, like it always should have been…victory…is mine!" Vault shouted into the air as he men roared and cheered in unison.
He almost seems he could win too, with the hydra attacking there walls and the Rangers out of commission it seems like this could be the end…until the sound of thunder could be heard. Suddenly everyone then stopped cheering when they heard it too; they then heard a sound that seemed like running, big heavy running. Everyone then started to look around wondering what the sound was; even the Hydra looked around for the strange sound.
"What…is that?" Ruu-Ruu asked
But the two Rangers knew what that was; after all they remember those sounds since they were no more than ten. Slowly a smile spread on their faces which caught the girls' attention.
"Michal, Kelvin, why are you smiling?" Maia asked which made the two smiles wider
The two Rangers then struggled to their feet as they looked out over the horizon as the sound of metal running could be heard getting closer. Kelvin then turned to the princess and couldn't help but let out a happy giggle of excitement.
"Girls…you're in for a treat."

Over the mountain came none other but the White Tigerzord, a white tiger with a golden bladed tail and red gleaming red eyes. On the head of the zord was none other than Eric and alongside him was Alex, Celestine, Olga and Claudia as they rode along with him.
"Hey guys, hope I'm not late to the party" Eric said as his zord charged
Everyone on the wall then shouted and cheered at the sight of their friend and hero riding to save them. As for on the ground, Vault was furious at seeing the Mighty Morphin Ranger as he practicality snarled like a wild animal, all the while his men and monsters looked in fear at the approaching zord.
"Good idea summoning your zord to get us here Eric" Alex complemented
"Thanks, after all bigger strides equals greater distance" Eric replied
Eric then looked over the battle field and was surprised to find what looked like a Hydra in the midst of it all.
"Um, Olga is it just me or that a hydra?" Eric asked the dark elf
Olga then looked ahead and gasped as her eyes dilated in fear.
"Vault unleashed Hydra?! Is he out his mind?!" Olga shouted which kind of shocked everyone
"I'm guessing he's something that shouldn't be woken up?" Eric asked as Olga slowly nodded
"Yes, this monster was too powerful not even I could control it" Olga said shocking everyone, "All I could do was seal him away and hope he was never unleashed" Olga added
Hearing this Eric knew what he had to do, sure it seemed dumb but it was necessary.
"Okay, I'm swinging around and droping you all off at the wall after that…I've got a dragon to slay" Eric said
Celestine and Olga then looked at Eric with fear as they jumped at him and hugged him tight.
"You can't! Hydra is too strong even for you!" Olga shouted
"Please Eric listen to us, don't do this" Celestine begged
Then with a sigh, Eric then shook his head and turned back to the battlefield.
"Sorry I can't, this something I have to do, it's my duty…as Power Ranger and a protector" Eric replied
The two queens could only sigh and nodded at this, after all he was right and there was no changing his mind. Soon after Eric then arrived at the wall and dropped off his passengers only to be approached by Kelvin and Michal who seemed worse for wear.
"Surprised you guys didn't summon your zords yet" Eric said, confused
"We tried but Kin put up some magic circle around the battle field that keeps us from summoning our zords" Michal explained which surprised him.
Hearing this Celestine then closed her eyes and just like Michal said, she felt a magical circle around the area and it was large and powerful.
"He's right there is a large amount of magic in play, I can break it but it will take some time" Celestine said
The hydra then let out a roar causing everyone to turn to the giant dragon as it stomped toward the walls of Ken.
"Alright then, you get on that and I'll handle scaly over there" Eric said as he glared at the large dragon.
Celestine and Olga wanted to argue but they knew it was fruitless venture, so reluctantly the two queens let the man go as they began working on breaking the magic circle. While they were doing that the Tigerzord then moved forward, with Eric riding on top of it and Saba in hand.
"You really plan on fighting Hydra!?" Vault shouted at the ranger as said ranger glared down at him, "no has been able to conquer hydra, why don't you just give up and die!" he added, all while having a deranged look on his face.
"That is something I'll never do Vault, ever since that day I've tried to shoulder everyone burdens on my shoulders…but now I know I have people I can rely on, and because of that I will fight to protect them!" Eric shouted out as the Tigerzord roared in unison, "Alright Saba, let's do this thing!" Eric shouted
"As you wish" Saba replied

"White Tigerzord, Tiger Mode, Battle ready now!"
The Tigerzord then charged forward at full speed all the while the Hydra roared at the approaching zord. The dragon then let lose a barrage of fireballs at the zord, causing explosion around it as the tigerzord ran forward.
"Getting hot out here, better get inside" Eric said as he jumped into his zord
Once inside, Eric stood at the controls with Saba in his hand, fully aware and ready to fight.
"Okay then Saba; let's send this overgrown Iguana packing!" Eric said
Tigerzord then let out a mighty roar which sent out a sonic blast that seemed to disorientate the Hydra but the dragon quickly shock it off and roared back.
"Oh my, Olga was right, this monster is quite tough" Saba remarked
"Got that right but let's see it handle this!" Eric shouted and raised Saba in front of him, "Tigerzord, convert to Warrior mode!"
Eric then inserted Saba into the control console. The tigerzord then jumped high into the air, once there it's legs then shifted to form legs and its head folded in on it chest causing a head to appear on the top and the tail detached to become a sword. The new transformed zord then landed on the ground and held up it sword for battle.
"Alright lizard breath let's dance" Eric said as the Tigerzord charged forward
The hydra then thrusted three of its heads at the zord, hoping to take a bite out of the machine, but the zord quickly deflected the strikes with its sword. Quickly seeing an opening, the Tigerzord then swung at the dragon's chest, causing the monster to cry out in pain. The hydra then tried to snap at the zord again with one of its heads but Eric quickly dodged the attack and swung at the monster's back causing it to roar again in pain.
"Didn't like that huh, well there's more where that came from!" Eric shouted in a furious voice
Eric then thrusted his fist forward causing the zord to follow his movement and landed a punch on one of the hydra's heads, causing it to stagger back. Eric then sent a front kick which the zord copied, causing it to hit the dragon in the belly, making it fall over on its side, roaring with pain.
"Oh most impressive" Saba said with a hint of pride in his voice
"Thanks Saba, but were not done yet" Eric said, seeing the Hydra rise back to its feet
Once it was back on its feet, the dragon then let lose a barrage of fireballs at the Tigerzord but quickly jumped out of the way of the attack, causing a large crater to form where he once stood.
"Oh my, that was close" Saba said
"Yeah now kidding, let's see how he likes this!" Eric shouted as he turned around
Eric then grabbed one of the orbs that stuck to the back wall of the cockpit and slid it into the console.
"White Tiger Thunder Bolt armed and ready!"
The tiger head on the zords chest then glowed as it thrusted out its arms. Then out of the maw came a large fireball which slammed into the Hydra's side. It the roared out in pain as it feel back on its side and seemed to be knocked out.

"Well, I guess that's it" Eric said thinking it was over
Suddenly, the Hydra's heads then snapped forward and bit into the zords arms and legs causing it to spark.
"I guess not!" Saba exclaimed in fright
The tigerzord then tried to struggle out the hydra's grasp as the dragon tightened down on its grip. Luckily Eric then swung his sword at one of the heads causing the dragon to let go as the zord stumbled back from the dragon.
"Saba, how we holding up?" Eric asked
"Systems still functional but for how long I don't know" Saba replied
"Then we better finish this guy off quick" Eric said
The Tigerzord then charged forward at the Hydra, sword raised. The zord then swung at the dragon but to the ranger's surprise, the hydra then grabbed the blade with its maw and proceeded to chomp into the zords midsection causing it to spark. Inside the cockpit Eric was rocked around as sparks flew across the room from the strike from the hydra.
"Get off me!" Eric shouted at the dragon
The tigerzord then elbowed one of the Hydra's heads, causing it to let go and for the zord to get away from the vicious beast. Unfortunately Eric didn't have time to breath has his zord was belted by a small barrage of fireballs, once again causing the zord to spark and stumble from the assault. It then fell over causing a huge crash and sending dirt and rock everywhere from the impact.
Down at walls of Ken, both Celestine and Olga looked at the fallen zord with terror in their eyes. They wanted so bad to jump into the fray and help the ranger, but they knew they were not powerful enough to take on the Hydra.
"Eric" Celestine quietly said with worry evident in her voice
"Concentrate Celestine, were almost done breaking this seal" Olga said
Hearing this Celestine then refocused on the task at hand.
"Yes, if we can get this seal undone the others Rangers can bring in their zords to help" Celestine said now more determined to get this seal undone.
Unbeknownst to them however, the other Rangers had another idea in mind. As for Eric he was busy trying not to be dragon food for the hydra as its ravenous maws tried to bit into him as he held the dragon's heads back.
"How are we holding up Saba?" Eric asked his companion
"All systems at sixty percent but are dropping fast, we need a new plan of attack" Saba exclaimed as the Hydra tried to take another bite out of the Tigerzord
Suddenly, a glowing white circle appeared around them, with ancient symbols surrounding it. Then as soon as it appeared it was then shattered into fragments of lights until disappearing.
"What was that?" Eric said in confusion
"Eric!" a voice called out
Looking over, Eric saw it was Celestine that was calling out to him, magnifying her voice with her magic.
"The seal is broken!" Celestine shouted to him
Eric then smirked under his helmet as he forced the dragon off of him. The Tigerzord then stood up and faced down the Hydra as said beast roared at him.
"Alright, now that's been taken care of, what do you say we end this fight Saba?" Eric asked
"I agree, let us end this debacle" Saba replied
"Alright then… I NEED THUNDERZORD POWER NOW!"

The roar of thunder then erupted from the sky causing everyone to jump from the sudden noise. Then off in the distance they could see something coming over the mountain range.
"What is that?" Olga asked squinting in the distance
Then out of the cloud came four objects each of them a different design and color. The first one was a blue horse zord; with unicorn designs and the other was a yellow griffon. The third was a green lion with black armor plating and the final one was pink bird creature with flame like designs.
"What are those?" Celestine asked making the other rangers smirk
"Those would be Eric's other zords" Kelvin replied shocking everyone
"Other zords? Why?" Olga asked
The rhino ranger only chuckled at this, which only confused the princess.
"You really think Warrior Mode is the only thing that Eric's got?" Kelvin replied as everyone turned back to the approaching zords.
Back on the ground Vault and his army looked at the approaching zords with fear in their eyes, only for the leader to shake off his fear and just look with his smug look.
"It doesn't matter if you have more zords or not, it's still no match for Hydra!" Vault shouted up at the Tigerzord
Eric only chuckled at this as the other zords stood by his side.
"Then it's time to bring them together… Mega Tigerzord transformation!" Eric shouted
The Tigerzord then jumped into the air, as it legs folded in and formed stumps. The unicorn zord and griffin zord then shifted to form legs as the Tigerzord attached its stumps to the zords. The lion zord then split apart as its two front paws attached to the tigezord's shoulders and the front part of the zord attached to the back of the Tigerzord. As for the bird zord it then folded in on itself and latched onto the zords arm to form a blade and for the final touch a new helmet then was placed on its head, giving it a red visor and crown like headpiece.
Everyone then looked in shock at the new zord with awe and couldn't help but gawk at it…well everyone expect the other Rangers as they smirked at the sight.
"Oh boy, Vault is so screwed" Kelvin said as the others nodded to this
Even the Hydra looked a little scared of the new and bigger zord as it slightly backed away from the Mega Tigerzord. Seeing this, Vault then turned to the giant dragon and started to shout at the beast in furious rage.
"What are you waiting for you dumb beast?! Fight!" he shouted
The Tigerzord then marched toward the Hydra causing the dragon to fire a volley of fireballs at the approaching threat, but the new zord simply walked right through the blast with ease. Once the Tigerzord was close enough to the Hydra, it then lashed out with its heads hoping to take a chunk out of the zord. Unfortunately for it, the Mega Tigerzord then backhanded its attack with ease. It then tried to strike again but again it was deflected by the zord, even grabbing a hold of one of the hydra's heads. The tigerzord then raised its sword arm and swung down, chopping it head right off. The beast then roared in pain and started to back up from the zord, now fearing for its life.
"Alright let's finish this!" Eric shouted
"SOULBIRD STRIKE, GO!"
The Tigerzord then thrusted it arm forward and launched the bird zord off its arm and flew right at the Hydra. The zord then burst into flames and flew like a missile toward its target, the hydra tried to get away but to its dismay the bird zord then sliced right through the dragon, causing the dragon to let out one more final roar until falling down to the ground and once the bird zord reattached the dragon then exploded in fiery ball of power.

Everyone. was. stunned. There was no way to describe it, the most powerful monster know in all of land, was defeated. No one moved a muscle; they could only gawk at the scene before them all. Eric then jumped out the zord and landed on top of the Tigerzord's head catching everyone's attention.
"Vault! Listen up!" Eric shouted into the crowd as all eyes were on him, "Let this be known, that this battle as signified the end not only of this war but end to your empire, because soon we will come for you all and I promise … this war will end with your defeat Vault and the fall of your Dogs so I have one thing to say to you all … run."
And ran they did. In no time at all, all of Vault's men ran away from the battlefield even Hicks and Kin ran in order to get away from the zord. As for Vault he simply just glared at the White Ranger, hate very evident in his gaze but Eric cared less and just looked down at the man with his arms crossed. Of course Vault then left too, all be it little slower than the rest of his men as he walked away from the fight. Once he was gone everyone then erupted into cheers of victory, praising the Ranger and the soon end to the war.

It was now the dead of night and many people were sleeping soundly in their homes, now that the war is approaching its climax. But for one certain Ranger, that was…not the case. Eric has been called in by Celestine and Olga so that they can have a "chat" about something. Eric then stood before Celestine and Olga's room, feeling a bit nervous about the whole thing.
"Well…here goes" Eric said walked right into the room

"Thank you" they both said confusing Eric
"For what?" Eric asked
"For saving us you dork, for protecting us and our people" Olga said cupping his face in her hands
"You've done so much for us ever since you and the Rangers arrived" Celestine added
Suddenly Olga then chuckled lightly which made Eric confused and a slight bit nervous.
"So now we want to thank you in one way we know possible~~" Olga said as raised her fingers and snapped.

Then Eric then hit her wall causing him to stop and look at Celestine with a worried look, but with one frim nod from her…Eric then pushed in. Celestine then let out scream of pain as purity was taken but Eric quickly kissed her to muffle the sound.
