Tartarus, Time: Unknown

In a dark cave at the bottom of the hellish red pit known as Tartarus a small orb floated above the ground as it shone and pulsed. It was bright and sea green in colour with tinges of black mixed in. The orb radiated immense pressure and power that crushed everything in its surroundings. Slowly but very steadily the orb began to draw in power from all across the planet. A small amount of essence from the tides, the shadows and every monster slowly began to continuously trickle out of their hosts and into the small orb. The orb began to expand, day by day it grew a little more until one day it stopped. The aura around the orb became denser and the surrounding energy started to solidify itself. It was a tedious process, one that took centuries, but eventually that stopped too. Suddenly without any signs or forewarning the orb exploded into tiny bits of golden and platinum looking dust. The bits of celestial dust steadily began to rebuild itself particle by particle, and it gradually began to take the shape of a human. The process started first with the bones. Followed by various muscles that surrounded the newly formed skeleton. Little specks of dust flew into the muscles in order to create the nerves of the body which were finally wrapped up in a layer of skin. As the last bit of skin joined together Percy finally had a physical body, and he breathed a sigh of relief as he reconstructed his body parts to his liking. Stretching a bit to get himself used to finally being able to move Percy headed off into the distance to begin his plan of changing the world.

The first part of Percy's plan was to forge himself a symbol of power. He hadn't needed one previously because there weren't any conflicts that involved Olympus and most monsters he could kill with a normal celestial bronze or imperial gold sword. Now however, after he'd learnt of the rise of several ancient and powerful immortals as well as having an angry king of the gods targeting him a better and more personalised weapon was required to defend himself. Another important reason for his crafting of a new weapon was that an average sword simply could not withstand the amount of power Percy could now channel through his new and improved body. Imperial gold and celestial bronze would be easy to find as they were both ores that spawned naturally in Tartarus. The only material that would be difficult to come by would be titanic silver. It was the same metal that gave Kronos' scythe such a sharp edge and the ability to sever souls. The hard part was that whilst the base metal, enchanted silver did form naturally in the pit the creation of the alloy known as titanic silver required imbuing the essence of a titan into some enchanted silver. So Percy begun his trek through Tartarus on the lookout for any stray titans. Percy's journey was a long and boring one. Not having any information about Tartarus and its environment all he could do was wonder towards the direction where he felt faint traces of divine energy. After fashioning himself a temporary sword most of the reincarnated monsters stayed far away from him. His aura was detectable from miles away and the average monster had no intention of wanting to cross the irritated god.

After what felt like years of hiking through the harsh plains of the pit Percy finally sensed the presence of another immortal. He had stumbled across a small pocket of normal enchanted silver a while ago and had been on the hunt for a titan ever since. Given the amount of time that had passed since the Titanomachy the chances of it being a first generation titan like Iapetus or Hyperion was pretty low. It seemed that whichever deity was there had noticed him too as they had begun to approach him. Taking out his sword Percy prepared himself for the inevitable fight. The two immortals sprinted at each other and two swords clashed with a bang as their blows created shockwaves and shattered the surrounding landscape. With a grunt Percy aimed a kick at his opponent's mid-section which sent him stumbling back a few metres. Using the gap created Percy took a few step to identify and analyse his enemy.

'Of course, it would be Perses.' Percy thought as he sighed internally.

Despite being the titan of Destruction the son of Krios was known for being very methodical in combat meaning that he was extremely frustrating to fight against. Percy lunged forward with an overhead strike that was swiftly blocked and countered with a slash at his own midsection which he narrowly avoided by rolling backwards. Perses gave a grunt before he seemed to shift a gear with his attacks and unleashed a furry of strikes that immediately put Percy on the defensive.

Having no shields or any form of defensive equipment Percy as force to dodge and sidestep most of the attacks. As Perses was wielding a larger mahaira blade and put more force into his attacks Percy was trying to avoid blocking or even parrying. Instead, he opted to use his better mobility to try to dance his opponent and tire him out.

"So, cousin, are you trying to kill me because gramps ordered it or do you just not like me?" Percy asked as he side stepped a particularly nastily angles diagonal slash that barely missed his neck.

Perses didn't bother with a reply and remained stoic as ever as he continually tried to catch Percy off guard. Realising he shouldn't draw out the fight because he had no clue whether the titan had any reinforcements coming Percy decided to stop messing around. A drawn out fight with multiple enemies in the middle of the Pit was definitely a less than ideal situation. Taking a breath to steady himself Percy ran straight at Perses. Just as the titan was bringing his sword down Percy slid between his legs, and sliced Perses's Achilles tendon whilst he turned around and brought himself back onto his feet. With a yell of pain Perses fell to his knees as his calf muscles were no longer attached to the back of his heel. Without giving his cousin any time to react Percy smoothly removed his head from his shoulders with one clean swipe.

"Well, you know what they say, immortal families are eternally messy." Percy said nonchalantly as he proceeded to extract a small amount of Perses's divine essence. Now all he had to do was find either the elder cyclopes or some hecatoncheires.

AN: Well, how's everyone been? I know it's been almost over a year since I last updated, and I do apologise for that. In my defence let's just say that my life got REALLY interesting and not in a good way. On the bright side I finally made it to uni, and I can legally drink now. Yay! Hopefully this means more updates but knowing me and my commitment issues I wouldn't count on it. As always please review and if anyone wants to chat I'm pretty much available 24/7
