TW: Glad you enjoyed it.

Guest: Chris was shown when future Wyatt first showed up being taken care by Leo, so it's safe to assume he went to Magic School with his parents and brother. Thank you.

Watchtower

Late afternoon

"So you're…" Oliver trailed off as he and Tess stared at Jonathan in disbelief, recognizing the man from pictures.

"Clark's father, from Earth anyway," Jonathan confirmed.

"And you're a…lighterwhiter?" Tess asked uncertainly.

"A Whitelighter. It's sort of like a guardian angel sent to guide witches and future Whitelighters," Paige explained.

"Well, I need a drink," Oliver said, feeling a migraine coming on.

"I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it Oliver, you were considered to be a future Whitelighter," Jonathan with a smile, surprising everyone but Paige.

"Me? Think whoever's calling the shots got their wires crossed," Oliver said in disbelief.

"Give it some time. We may make a Whitelighter out of you yet," Jonathan said with a grin.

"So, not to be rude, but why are you here? The Elders don't exactly allow you to interact with your old life," Paige pointed out, remembering Piper telling her about Leo's first wife.

"This was a special case. You remember what happened last time our world crossed with the other one," Jonathan pointed out and Paige flinched.

"Yeah, you don't need to remind me," Paige muttered.

"The Elders didn't want something like that happening again and thought I was the best one to get through to the other Clark," Jonathan explained as he glanced at his son.

"Probably a smart idea," Clark muttered, still in disbelief that his dad was standing right in front of him.

"Paige! Paige, we need you!" Paige heard Phoebe's voice call out to her just then.

"Oh I hear you, hold your horses," Paige grumbled, causing everyone to look at her.

"Something wrong? One of your charges?" Clark asked but Paige shook her head.

"No. With everything going on, I haven't had a change to tell you," Paige said, confusing Clark. "You know how Wyatt came back from the future?"

"Yeah," Clark said, wondering what she was getting at.

"So time travel, that's a thing to," Tess muttered but was ignored.

"Well, a demon cursed Wyatt from the present with his teddy bear and it somehow turned him evil overtime," Paige explained and Clark understood.

"So now the future Wyatt is evil," Clark said in disbelief as they all looked at Paige as if she were playing a bad joke.

"Not the first time it happened, just about every one of us has been turned evil at least once. I should tell you about the time I got turned into a vampire," Paige said, almost laughing at the looks on their faces. "We were hoping if we vanquished Vicus – the demon who cursed Wyatt's bear – it might break the curse."

"Vanquishing Vicus may stop him, but it won't cure Wyatt," Jonathan said and she turned to him. "I've had a few encounters with Vicus myself. Only way to break the curse is to lift the curse on the bear."

"And how do we do that? Wyatt keeps Orbing it to him every time we take it," Paige said in frustration.

"You need Wyatt to trust you; you can't take the bear by force. If you get the bear, then you can break the curse," Jonathan explained. "The curse only has power as long as Wyatt continues to trust Vicus over you. But you're his family, nothing can tear that apart."

"You're good at this," Paige noted and Jonathan laughed.

"I just have experience raising a super powerful son," Jonathan said with a glance at Clark. "Go. I'll be here when you get back. From the sounds of it, they need you."

Clark hesitated for only a moment before nodded. He walked over to Paige, who grabbed his hand and the pair Orbed out.

"Just when I thought my life couldn't get any crazier, the boy scot starts dating a witch. I miss the days when the craziest thing I had to deal with was Lex's projects," Oliver quipped, not seeing Tess's grimace.

Magic School

Not long after

"And that's how we save Wyatt," Paige finished explaining to Piper and Leo as they watched baby Wyatt on the floor.

"So how do we get the bear?" Piper wondered.

"We just have to make him trust us," Leo said with a frown. "We're his family."

"What about Vicus?" Piper asked uncertainly.

"Phoebe and Clark are handing him," Paige assured them.

Underworld

Same time

Vicus screamed as Clark, using his X-Ray Vision, located him and used heat vision on him to vanquish him.

"Was that supposed to impress me?" Wyatt asked coldly.

"No. But now that he's gone, he can't corrupt you again," Clark said as he looked at Wyatt calmly.

"Stay out of my way Clark," Wyatt sneered.

"I'm not gonna hurt you Wyatt, and I know you're not gonna hurt me either. I know you're a good person, and you are not gonna hurt me or your family," Clark said firmly.

"Clark, be careful," Phoebe warned him.

"It's alright Phoebe. It's all gonna be over soon," Clark said confidently.

Magic School

Same time

"Hey Wyatt," Leo said as he approached his son. "Can I come over here for a minute?"

Wyatt nodded and Leo sat down as Paige and Piper watched uneasily.

"Can I see Woogie for one second? I promise I'll give him back to you," Leo said and they all waited.

After a moment of hesitation, Wyatt held out the bear to Leo, to their relief.

"Thank you," Leo said, taking the bear.

Immediately, the bear glowed bright gold. As Leo handed the bear back to Wyatt, the two year old glowed gold briefly as well.

Underworld

Same time

Clark and Phoebe watched as Wyatt's hair and clothes returned to normal and he lost his beard.

"Uncle Clark? Aunt Phoebe? What happened?" Wyatt asked as he looked around in bewilderment.

"Long story. Don't worry about it, you're back now," Clark said as he placed a hand on Wyatt's shoulder. "That's all that matters."

Kent Farm

Night

Jonathan looked around at the house, filled with a wistfulness. Everywhere he looked, he saw a memory of Clark and Martha.

"Must be weird, coming back here," Kara mentioned from where she watched him.

"It is. It's a part of my life I thought I'd said goodbye to long ago," Jonathan agreed before looking back at Kara. "It's nice to meet a member of Clark's Kryptonian family that isn't an ice fortress."

"Clark's told me enough about the Jor-El you know. The real Jor-El wasn't like that," Kara told him and Jonathan smiled weakly.

"I know. Since becoming a Whitelighter I've…lost a lot of assumptions that I'd made over my human life," Jonathan paused and a silence descended over the room.

The silence was broken by the opening of the door. They turned to see Clark walk through, still staring at his father like he couldn't believe Jonathan was standing there.

"Everything good with Paige and Wyatt?" Jonathan asked and Clark nodded as he closed the door.

"Vicus is gone and Wyatt is back to normal," Clark said and the room was once more silent.

"I'll leave you two to talk," Kara said before glancing back at Jonathan. "It was nice to meet you Mr. Kent."

"You too Kara. And please, call me Jonathan," Jonathan said and she nodded.

"Jonathan," she corrected before glancing at Clark. "Goodnight Kal-El."

Clark nodded as Kara headed upstairs to one of the spare rooms. Clark had left it open since her return in the hope she might come back. For a moment, it was silent again.

"I wasn't hallucinating when I saw you after Jor-El turned his back on me," Clark said and Jonathan smiled weakly.

"No. I saw an opportunity to come to my son when he needed me and I took it. I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer but the Elders are sticklers about rules," Jonathan apologized.

"I've heard enough about what they did to Piper and Leo to understand that's an understatement. Have you been to see Mom?" Clark asked and Jonathan smiled sadly.

"A few times, in her dreams. But not in a long time. She needed to move on," Jonathan said with a sigh.

"You had Paige get assigned as Whitelighter. We didn't understand why it was her and not Sam, but it all makes sense now," Clark said and Jonathan chuckled.

"Sam and I became friends when he came back into the fold after meeting Paige a few years ago. I was sent to guide him back into things. We bonded over our love for our children and how we'd watch you both from afar. We saw both of you were in trouble and losing yourselves. We couldn't be there for you, so we thought the next best thing was to put you on the path to meeting and hoped for the best. We had no idea about your history or that you two would fall in love," Jonathan explained.

"I don't think Paige and I are there yet," Clark said blushing slightly.

"Clark, I know you. I knew how you felt about Lana and Lois before you did. You can't take your eyes off her," Jonathan said with a laugh. "You may not know that you love her, but I know you do. It's okay if you can't say it right now, that's between you and her. For what it's worth, I couldn't have picked a better match for you myself. Paige is a wonderful girl."

"Thanks," Clark muttered, still trying to overcome the embarrassment.

"You should head to the Luthor Mansion. I think you owe Tess an apology," Jonathan said and Clark scowled.

"She-"

"Made a mistake," Jonathan cut off his son. "A costly one, but still a mistake. Aren't we all about giving second chances?"

"And the Mirror Box? Why does she have it?" Clark demanded.

"From her father. Lionel," Jonathan revealed, stunning Clark.

"She's-"

"Another of Lionel's bastards, yes," Jonathan said with a nod. "Now, I think you of all people can understand why she may not want to share that with you."

Clark stood there, remembering his own actions before being sent to the other world.

"Yeah…yeah I can understand," Clark muttered. "I'm surprised you do. You hated Lex before he was…"

"I didn't hate Lex for who his father was. I saw his father in him. Lex was headed down that path long before you pulled him from the river and nothing you or anyone else did was going to pull him off it. But Tess is not Lionel or Lex. She still has a chance to break free of all the darkness, as long as she's given the chance to do so," Jonathan told him not unkindly before pausing. "Clark…I have to go."

"Will I see you again?" Clark asked softly, realizing this might be the last time he would see his father.

"I don't know. But even if you don't, I'll always be watching over you from a distance. You don't need me to guide you anymore. Everything you need, I've given you in here," Jonathan said, placing a hand over Clark's heart. "I am so proud of the man you've become. I love you Clark."

"I love you too Dad," Clark said emotionally.

The two shared a long hug, Clark never wanted to let go. But he did and Jonathan stood back. With a smile at his son, Jonathan Orbed out, leaving Clark alone with his thoughts.

Luthor Mansion

Night

Tess was cleaning out some old photos when Clark spoke up behind her.

"Luthor Blood is poison," she turned her head to see him standing on a lower level. "That's what I said before things got weird."

Just by looking at him, Tess could tell Clark new and her heart felt like there was something heavy pressing down on it.

"The heir that Lionel left that box to. It's you," Clark noted and she smiled weakly.

"Given all that the Luthors have done, is it any surprise I didn't feel like sharing with the rest of the class?" Tess asked as Clark made his way over to her.

"I'm guessing how I reacted is exactly why you didn't tell me everything," Clark noted.

"Clark you wanna know the truly perverse part? I'm upset that he threw me away," Tess confessed. "As grotesque and sorted of a family tree that I've just inherited, I…wasn't good enough. If today has proven anything, it's that you were lucky to have Jonathan and Martha."

"You weren't so unlucky," Clark said as he sat down next to her. "Lionel didn't raise you. I saw Lionel and Lex. Lex…Lex wasn't always a monster. Part of it may be his blood, but part of it…part of it is the man himself. Lionel turned Lex into what he was. I was wrong."

"The real reason that I hid Alexander….is because I didn't want anyone to take him away from me," Tess confessed, a few tears falling from her eyes. "I was afraid that he was the closest thing to family I might ever have. But he fooled me; he's just as smart as Lex. If not smarter. When and if he's found, it'll be because he wants to be."

"When Lex does show up, we'll face him together," Clark promised as he took her hand. "You're not alone anymore."

Tess looked at him in surprise before slightly slightly as lightning stuck outside the mansion.

Halliwell Mansion, next day

Morning

As Wyatt was saying his goodbyes to his family, Clark walked in.

"Hey Uncle Clark. Come to say goodbye?" Wyatt asked.

"Partly. I also wanted to ask you something. In the future, did I or anyone ever mention something called the Bow of Orion?" Clark inquired.

"Clark, future consequences," Paige hissed at him.

"It's alright Aunt Paige. I really can't recall it being mentioned, sorry," Wyatt said, disappointing Clark. "But, whatever it is, if it's meant to be, you'll find it. If there's one thing I know about you, you never give up."

"Well, at least that doesn't change," Clark said with a weak smile. "I'll be seeing you Wyatt."

"Probably sooner than you think," Wyatt said with a smile.

"Okay, let's get this over with before one of us asks him to stay," Piper said as she pulled out a piece of paper. "Son in the future, son in the past, seeing anew once has passed, return him anew to whence he came, return when he left, all the same."

The Halliwells, Leo and Clark watched as Wyatt vanished in a swirl of lights.

"Bye!" Little Wyatt said cheerfully, causing the adults to all smile.

"So what is the Bow of Orion?" Phoebe asked curiously as they all turned to Clark.

"According to the Book of Shadows, the only thing capable of defeating Darkseid, the thing behind the darkness," Clark explained.

"And you were hoping Wyatt might have some Intel on it," Leo realized and Clark nodded. "I'll look around at Magic School; see if it has any information on it."

"Thank you Leo. I need to find it, the fate of the world might depend on it," Clark said grimly.

And we're finally finished with this part of the story.

Hope the Clark/Jonathan scene was oaky.

And now we're getting back to the Smallville side of things with one of my favorite episodes of the season.
