Agency Tourist
If you're wondering what the class of 1-A and 1-B was doing, they're having another road trip this time included 1-B. This time, once more on Anna's suggestions, to Funbari Holdings. She figured both classes needed to experience what it was like inside a hero agency before choosing their own.
'It's better for the hero course students to experience the working environment.'
Eraserhead and Vlad King couldn't argue with that logic and agreed, provided they didn't chaperone and she took all responsibility. That's how they ended up in the Hosu branch.
Though this time, they were in a bus and not a limo, as Mina pout along with others liking riding the luxury vehicle the other day.
"So, we're going to a hero agency? This is so exciting!"
"I've always watched it on tv!"
"My school managed to get a tour of Might Tower."
"I wonder what's it like inside a hero agency."
"I bet there are tons of sidekicks doing hero stuff!"
"Both Class 1-A and 1-B were excited and talked a lot during their journey. Soon they arrived at the building, one tall enough to rival Might Tower.
At the entrance, one of the guards came forward and provided the class with a piece of paper. A contract to be more precise. "Before any of you enter, you must sign this first."
"What's this?" asked Setsuna, eyeing it suspiciously.
"This is a contract. Anything you see here is confidential. Read if you wish, but no one comes in without signing."
Nobody argued and just wrote their names. Some read, others didn't as it was a hassle, but soon they all had their names in.
Although, Sero noticed three hadn't. "Hey, why aren't Bakugo, Midoriya, and Yaoyorozu signing?"
"I already signed it, elbow tape!"
"I was already forced to by my aunt."
"Ditto."
With everyone finished, they entered the door. Inside, the agency looked like a hotel, with multiple staff members doing their jobs. Some were typing on desktops, others answering phones, carrying papers, and more. It was a busy sight.
That all came to a halt when they saw Midoriya Izuku. The entire staff in the building paused, lined up like foot soldiers, and bowed with politeness and respect to the Shaman.
"Welcome, young master!" they all shouted, loud enough for everyone in the building and outside to hear. One passer jumped in shock.
Putting on his game face, Izuku said, "Thank you. Please carry on with what you do."
"Understood, young master." The employees continued with what they were doing.
The entire hero course was speechless; unlike passersby greeting them, an entire community of heroes treated Izuku like royalty.
"So that's what it's like to be rich." Sero was awe.
"So manly!"
" I know right !"
"Of course you doofuses would think that. Setsuna roll her eyes looking at the two harden quirks users.
" I always so those scne from drama on tv" Pony was giddy
"Looks like 1-A's got some more big shots. Not impressed."
The shaman sighed hearing his classmates and others gossiping about him. If anything, it's kind of an annoyance. All these people respect his aunt and owe her, so he's just an outlet. Still, it did provide a huge lesson for him; there were ways for Izuku to help others without being a hero. Most if not all of the employees here were helped by Anna in their time of need when no hero would or could reach them.
Next up was a very attractive woman wearing a blue suit and tie, sporting tan skin and perky bunny ears. This woman was familiar to everyone. "Welcome, young master." She greeted the Shaman.
"EH!" Mineta shouted. "It's the Rabbit Heroine Mirko! What's she doing working here?!"
"Yeah, I thought she was a loner."
Usagimiya eyes twitched knowing that question would be coming. There was truly only one reason she was working here, aside from her debt, and it was all her fault.
Flashback
The rabbit hero Mirko met Asakura Anna along with Midoriya Izuku. This took place during her big debut reaching the top 20 hero chart, right when the Itako sought the heroine.
"I'm not interested in working with Funbari Holdings, so save it. I ain't a team player," she told Anna straight up. It was true ever since her hero career started she never tag along with any heroes at all.
"I know… which is why I would like to make a wager."
"Betting? Really?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were afraid," said the woman, causing Izuku to flinch. He knew this tone. It was the tone how she would hook line and sinker.
"Whose afraid?!" Mirko then saw her shove the green teen in front of her.
"Defeat my nephew here in a duel, and I'll not only give up recruiting you, but I will also hand this boy over to you as your bitch."
"Eh!" 'that wasn't what I was told' he thought!
"Fail, and you become an employee of Funbari Holdings, and become my nephew's slave."
At that moment, Mirko should have stopped to think about this. How confident was she in this boy's ability to think he would stand any sort of chance? Was there some kind of trick? But no. She immediately said, "HA! That's fine with me. I never lose!"
"Then we agree." She then watched as her nephew stood before Mirko, albeit reluctantly, with Amidamaru entering him via Soul Unison.
"I'll go easy on you since you're a kid, but don't expect to wake up for an hour!" Mirko went into a fighting stance and aimed a left kick.
And that's when everything came back to bite her; With Amidamaru, Izuku quickly dodged underneath the kick, and with a swift swing struck Mirko in her chin and knocked her out instantly.
After a few minutes the rabbit hero was up, confused over what happened. "Why am I on the floor?"
"You're beaten, that was all," Anna told her.
Upset, Mirko got up shouting, "Impossible! How could I have lost to some brat?!"
"We have video footage." She showed on her phone evidence of Mirko losing in one hit. "Now, what will you do about it?"
"A-About what?"
"You agreed to be my employee and my nephew's bitch." Mirko just realized that; she did indeed agree to the bet.
"Of course, she forgot," spoke the samurai spirit.
"Lose, and you'd work for me and my nephew. That was the deal, and that is recorded too."
"Well, that's just rhetoric-"
"While not conducted in a formalized way, would a heroine really want that?"
"Eh?"
"You, the Rabbit Heroine Mirko, one of the newest and fastest heroes to reach the top 20, is someone who not only lost to a child but is trying to shirk out of a bet she agreed to. I just wanted to make sure you were okay with that." She said this with a straight face, but inside one could tell she was laughing.
Mirko's heart felt like it was stabbed. Her pride was on the line. Despite fighting larger-than-life villains, fighting in an underground fight club as a student, and saving civilians from falling buildings and natural disasters, she couldn't risk damaging her pride. Oh, if only she had just left.
"I-I was just making a point; don't worry about it." She chuckled happily.
Amidamaru shuddered while staring at Anna, seeing the shadow of another woman of similar manipulative powers to her.
"So then, shall we pretend that spat never happened and continue with our lives tomorrow? Maybe something in you will change instead."
"Ahhhhhh, alright! I'm a woman of my word." She couldn't stand this humiliation anymore.
"Now, now, don't act like I'm forcing you," Anna smirked as she towered over Mirko. Well, she was sitting, but it looked like she was. "You're just keeping your promise."
"… I look forward to being in your care, Asakura-sama." Rumi then bowed.
"Good," said the demon queen with satisfaction. She then gestured to her nephew. "And?"
The bunny woman turned to the Shaman Kid. "… I will also be in your care as well, young master."
"As you all know, Funbari Holding is run by President Anna Itako Asakura, the former Hero Platinum Queen. Her ambition was to form this group of companies to not only conquer the economic market but expand her influence to other countries," spoke Mirko while being the guide of the tour.
"We also have a connection with other companies in the world, including I-Island."
"I-island , as the world most well known research
As they walked, they saw a lot of employees and staff doing their work diligently. Some even had grotesque mutations and appearances, like two heads or being a half lizard. One even had a flaming skull for a head. The other one a bowl with a goldfish swimming.
Mineta stopped when he noticed a certain staff member. "Uwah! Isn't that's Alligator Head, the villain Best Jeanist caught last year?! Why is he here?!"
The heroes in training turned to see the former villain there working like a normal person, who cringed at the mention of his embarrassing past. They started gossiping save Izuku, Bakugo, and Yaoyorozu who knew why, and Iida who had bigger things on his mind.
Mineta's head was grabbed by Mirko. "It seems someone didn't read the warning. Whoever-" she pulled his head up, ripping off one of his Pop-Offs by mistake. Using her other hand she grabbed the back of his throat. "Whoever insults anyone in the company receives punishment.
"What?! But I'm just a student!"
"A student who signed the contract. Section 13 states that those who don't follow the rules receive punishment from the staff. Whether you're a child, the prime minister, or kami, you follow the rules; no accusing our employees and treating them like criminals!"
Mineta's eyes paled as he was tossed to a shirtless, bulky, grey-skinned individual with a beard , tattoos, and a bald. "Grog Strongjaw, send that midget to the muscle room."
"You shan't worry your head, little one. You will learn to love muscles." The goliath barbarian carried away Mineta with one hand.
"Nooooooooo, anything but this! I only want to be hugged by girls even tall girls!" The mercenary hero ignored him before taking him away for punishment.
Mirko tried shaking off the ball on her hand before removing the glove attached to it. Once done, she grabbed another pair in her pocket before throwing it on, and turning to the kids. "Does anyone else want to open their mouths and point fingers?" Her response is a collective no. "Didn't think so."
"Was that Goliath, the hero from the mercenary group Vox Machina?" asked Todoroki.
"He also owes Anna, moving on." Mirko as her words meant do not pry and continued with her tour. As she explains that the employees here are former villains giving a second chance to work for the betterment of society , some even doing community service under watch and rehabilitations also provided.
Rumi wasn't the type to care about people that much, only those who earned her respect. But after living in a black-and-white world of beating up villains, after working here that perspective changed a bit. These people weren't here just for punishment; it was a second chance.
Interactions taught her these coworkers didn't just become villains. Some were due to Quirks causing accidents, urges as a result of them, or others' judgments. But society blamed them since it was easy. After all, it's easy to judge than to understand.
Her life was normal despite being a mutation, but she could tell it was mostly due to her still human appearance. If she looked more like a rabbit, would they treat her differently?
"What's the point of power and heroism if you can't change the world?" Those words from Anna often repeated in Mirko's head. There was more she could do to help society.
That was when Anna formed Mutant Awareness, a group of mutation Quirks with grotesque features that wanted more than to be treated like villains. Mirko stood as the representative, as opposed to Hound Dog or Gang Orca. The former was too loyal to the status quo and the latter idolized All Might too much.
As a newcomer, Mirko was perfect; she wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty, like sneaking into fight clubs as a teenager. It's why the rabbit girl didn't regret working at Funbari Holdings.
They continued their tour showing how the facilities worked, like a break room for staff, a garden to help relieve stress, a cafeteria, and even an education room whatever that was.
They then came before a small armadillo in a suit carrying papers above his head.
"Wow! What a cutie!" Mina said looking at the adorable creature.
Koda held a sign that read 'Kawaii'.
"What's that, a hedgehog?" asked Sero.
"It's an armadillo," Setsuna corrected, looking in awe.
"Is he related to the principal?" was Kendo's question.
"That's John the Armadillo, the number 2 who runs this place," Mirko told them, pointing out the marsupial.
"Nuu nuu." He approached the Shaman.
"Hello, John it's good to see you how's Draluc?."
"Shorty." Bakugou greeted in his usual tone.
"Nu nu."
" Still fighting with Ronaldo-kun again" as the shaman sigh hearing this.
The hero class was infatuated with the armadillo so much that the girls were petting and spoiling him. Asking how Midoriya knew the cute Armadillo.
Monoma laughed. "You kidding me?! This little fella is shorter than the midget from Class 1-A!"
After that, a powerful killing intent submerged the entire group. Just as Kendo was about to perform her duties.
Bakugo twitched with dread, dread fueled with experience. "Of course, that idiot insulted the mascot of the company." Bakugou knew as he had his fair share being the idiot that insults the mascot who everyone admires and love. Anna decided to bring Bakugou to experience what's like in the agency and being the loudmouth he got the end of the boot.
It didn't take that long for Monoma's punishment or education as they say to come, as he was encased in a cocoon of ropes before strong men carried him to the education room. His screams of fear were heard.
Sighing, Kendo watched as their class's problem child disappeared.
"Thank god it ain't me," spoke Kaminari.
"I think it'd look good on you," Shiozaki stated with a nod, to which he cried no.
Concluding, the groups wrote reviews for the agency in the cafeteria as well as what hero suited their liking and needs. This was for Funbari Holdings to seek out students interested in this company's future.
Izuku had already decided his future but had to write like everyone else.
Tenya Iida didn't care for the review. He was too concerned the entire time about his brother's well-being. After what happened yesterday, Tensei was walking again. But, he lost his Engine Quirk. They called it a miracle; if only the public knew the truth.
All their parents could say was that his injury caused him the use of his Quirk. It isn't as if his losing his Quirk would have been believable. Despite that, Tensei still wished to be a hero.
Tensei didn't argue knowing his family was still worried about his condition, so he decided to rest another few days before resuming his job. That was an excuse; in truth, they didn't know what to expect if their oldest son went to face beings different than normal.
Tenya couldn't say anything positive. He just kept avoiding him, the shame still fresh in his mind. Those words were still there; 'Can a Quirkless person become a hero?'
After finishing their survey, and reviewing the hero course handed in their papers. Rivetta, Anna's secretary who was the representative and commander on her behalf while his aunt was away, accepted them and looked them over. After her scan, she decided to talk to the hero course students.
"Children, what is your goal for all of this?"
Tetsutetsu was the first one to shout along with Kirishima; to be a hero that others followed.
"If your only answer is to be a hero then rework your bland, rubbish goal." As she toss the paper like it was garbage.
"Hey being a hero is what I want!"
"Yeah, don't go complaining just cause you didn't get a chance!"
As the entire class 1-A and 1-B arguing how the sectary insulted their dream.
"BE QUIET!" They all shut up as if silenced by heavy machinery. "So you wish to be hero? Once you graduate, if you do everything right, you'll become heroes like a salaryman, ogled by the public like a superstar, saving people and fighting villains. But, then what? Ranking up, making agencies? That comes standard."
Nobody could rebuff as that's what they wanted to become heroes. But, most of them hadn't thought about it after that.
"All Might inspired a generation to be heroes, but what do you want to do for the next? Because there is more to life than being best at something."
Rivetta looked at the students, noticing some of them had thought about new goals.
Uraraka said, "To get money for my family."
Shouji nodded before saying, "To show the world that mutations aren't gross punishments for criminals."
"To beat the number one hero," was Bakugo's answer.
Izuku sternly stated, "To show Quirks can be for more than combat."
Rivetta smiled at those four. "That's what I'm talking about. Anyone can just want to be something, but it takes drive to push you. That's what separate humans from sheep."
It was another lesson for them to learn, one they didn't expect to get. "If hero with no goal is no different than working person in a black company, you only want to be a hero and that's it. I would like to hear what you will drive to later, at end of your internships."
As that concluded, the students were finally ready to return to U.A., some sulking. Two were stone statues void of life. They just kept muttering muscles were magic or muscles were justice.
Some were pondering what the secretary said, others just rebuffing believing being a hero was enough, and the rest understood what she meant. With no deeper reason, what was the point of such a difficult duty?
These would be in their thoughts as their internships began. But unbeknownst to them, someone was already on the move in the shadows. The enemy Shaman after Izuku's life was preparing his next stab.
This is a short chapter as more like showing and bonding with other classes , something that should be needed in the canon but didn't as it was to much rush. Anyway some knew the characters from critical role, the vampires dies in no time , umbrella academy , dc , marvel and Jumbor.
