In a long, dimly lit hallway, we see a young boy, age 17, with neat black hair and black eyes. His delicate face showed no trace of masculinity, allowing people to mistake him for a girl easily. His outfit consisted of black pants, a black belt with a large silver buckle, a black V-necked shirt worn underneath a black trench coat with gray lining going down the sleeves, and black boots with silver plates to protect his shins. He had a silver plate worn on the left side of his coat and a pair of black fingerless gloves. He wore a strap over his right shoulder and under it to wrap around his left side.

On his back were two swords, one was pitch black with a trim of gray and had a black hilt connected to a hand guard that dropped down on the right side. While the other was aqua-colored with a grip a darker color than the rest of the blade and is completely straight, and a crossguard that is precisely perpendicular to the grip and is designed to look like a pair of conjoined dagger blades with the center of the guard having large aquamarine gem.

As he continued to walk down the hallways, he took a few deep breaths, "I can do this." He whispered to himself repeatedly as he kept moving across the hallway. He continued walking towards a bright light at the end of the hall; once he was near, he stopped to catch a few quick breaths before entering what seemed to be a sizeable futuristic-looking training arena. "Are you ready, young man?" asked a voice that came from a prominent speaker, "Yes!" the boy said, as he pulled out a small device that he put over his right eye and activated it. Once he put it on, a countdown that started at ten began as he pulled out his black sword and got into his fighting position, and once the countdown ended, the test started.

A few robots came bursting out of the floor as they opened fire on the boy, but he quickly dodged each blast and disappeared from their sight. The drones looked around for their target, only for one of them to be quickly stuck down; once it was destroyed, it displayed a number, and before the other drones nearby could react, they were taken out by the boy. The young man took down each of the remaining drones one by one, as he moved both quickly and efficiently, with powerful slashes and parries, as he gained more points with each drone he took down. He stopped before jumping onto a high platform, then tapped the device on his right eye, allowing it to scan the rest of the room to show the number of remaining enemies; once he had this knowledge in hand, he jumped from the platform to continue his assault.

Meanwhile, in the observation booth, we see a few people viewing the display, "Impressive, with this level of skill, he will get into Beacon in no time." One commented as he smiled, "He may be doing well so far," another spoke, "But now it is time for the real test." He continued as he leaned to a microphone, "Release it now." He said, causing some other people to tense up a bit.

Back on the training grounds, the boy stood over the last drone he took out. After a few moments, he saw the room clear, and all the platforms went away just as a wall opened to reveal a ginormous Arma Gigas walking out of it. As soon as he saw it, he pulled out his aqua-colored sword before again getting into his fighting position.

After a few moments, the Gigas made the first move, bringing its sword down heavily. Still, the boy quickly dodged it before he rushed it, getting a few good slashes in it, only for him to get swatted away by the possessed armor, followed by a strike from the flat side of its sword, causing him to crash on the ground hard. Before the young swordsman could recover, the armor used its sword to hit him like a golf ball into a wall causing it to dent. As he was recovering, the armor once again attempted to strike, only for the young swordsman to parry the attack, causing the Arma Gigas to lose its balance allowing the boy to quickly leap towards it and strike it multiple times while in the air before raising both swords in the air causing them to glow a bit and bring both of them down, with two extremely powerful strikes causing it to fall over, and crash hard. Once the boy landed on the ground, he got on one knee and started breathing heavily while drenched in sweat.

At the viewing pad, everyone watching smiled as they were both impressed by the boy's skills and happy that he passed, "Impressive, but he still has much to learn." One of them said, "Indeed," another said with a smile as he went to the speaker.

Meanwhile, at an exit from the locker room, we see the young boy in more casual clothing as he walks towards the people from before, "Well, good news, you passed and are officially accepted into Beacon Mr… Kazuto Kirigaya." One of them said as he looked at his clipboard. "Please," the young man said casually, "I prefer to be called Kirito." The now named Kirito said with a smirk as he exited the building to answer a group text on his scroll filled with a few different names, asking how his test had gone. He smiled as he began to answer it; despite how much was on his mind, he was excited to go to Beacon but was worried about how his friends(more specifically, his girlfriend) would feel, Never the less he was happy to hear from them and await the adventure that was to come.
