We stayed in our dorms for the better part of the next day.
The lockdown was instated for the better part of the morning and part of the afternoon.
That is until we were all ordered to gather in the entrance courtyard by the Ministry of Magic.
They gave us a full hour to prepare ourselves, before escorting us there.
I groggily pushed off my bedsheets and got out of bed making my way to the bathroom.
Then proceeded to rip my nightdress off, standing under the freezing cold water as it slowly began to warm up. When it did warm up I quickly washed my hair and then scrubbed myself clean at a fast pace.
Once I got out, I then proceed to quickly dry myself, putting my hair in loose ringlets before pulling on my thick thigh-length black stockings and then proceeded to pull on my cotton, maxi dress with angel wing style sleeves. Slipping on a light coat of makeup before turning to look at myself in the mirror.
When I walked out into my room, Bellatrix was already sitting on her bed, slipping her chunky heeled boots, grumbling under her breath as she zipped them up.
I pulled a pair on and slipped on my sleeveless hooded gray cloak, before slipping on an emerald encrusted silver Grecian style headpiece onto my head.
"Well, don't you look lively this morning." She remarked dryly, as she began to attempt braiding her wild black ringlets.
"Hmm," I replied, shrugging my shoulders as we grabbed and slipped our wands into our cloaks, before making our way out of the room and down towards the common room.
"I wonder what is going on? I mean, I am sure Grindlewald is gone. So, why are we still on lockdown? What else could have happened?" She wondered, as we slowly descended the stairs that lead down to the common room.
I flinched in response to the name, wanting nothing more than to forget everything I discovered the prior morning.
When we walked into the room, I noticed almost everyone was still in their dormitories getting ready, the few people who were present the ones who were a part of our group.
As we stood there, awaiting further instructions, I could feel a fuzzy feeling begin to swirl in my stomach as the sight before me, vanished, quickly being replaced by another one.
Vision:
The minister of magic stood before us all, a dark shadow in his face as he looked into the crowd, grief clear on his face as he scanned the crowd, searching.
"It is with great, and deep grief that I inform you all that we have lost four people from important families this day." He said, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"I am pained to inform you all that Alya Nova Malfoy and her husband Abraxas Keith Malfoy I were found murdered in their manor this past Monday. Their eldest son was found and is currently residing with the Lestrange family." He said, as his eyes landed on an ashen head of hair.
Lucius, who happened to be standing next to Tom, Cissy, and I, let out a pained cry, shaking his head in disbelief.
"No, no, no, no! You-you're wrong! I received a letter from them this past Monday morning. You're wrong. They're not dead!" He shouted, as Bastan and Rod suddenly appeared on either side of him, holding him in his place as he doubled over pained.
I could feel tears falling from my eyes as I blinked back into the present, shaking my head dazed as I realized Tom was now standing next to me, holding me up by my elbow.
"What's wrong?" He asked, looking at me from head to toe, to check if I was hurt.
"I can't. I can't say. I-it's unclear." I lied, watching as his eyes narrowed at me, suspiciously, before nodding in response.
By the time that everyone had made it down to the common room, Professor Slughorn was waiting with us, impatiently wringing his hands together.
"Hurry now, we mustn't be late, we could miss valuable information." He said, hurrying the last of the students to arrive.
Once everyone was present, we briskly walked down to the Entrance Courtyard, where all of the houses seemed to be gathered already, just like in my vision.
As we inched closer, I could feel as my body tensed and my palms began to sweat.
Tom silently grabbed my hand, pushing into my mind as we came to a sudden halt. Joining the rest of the houses in the Entrance Courtyard.
'Are you alright?' He asked me through our link.
I shook my head, bring the vision I had just witnessed forefront in my mind. I could feel as he tensed beside me, his already towering height almost hiding me in his shadow under the rising sun.
'Do you have any idea who could've done this?' He asked
I shook my head, willing the stab I felt on my temple to disappear, if not, or to at least decrease to a pinprick.
'Are you sure you saw it correctly? This could be a mistake. It has to be.' He thought, worry clouding in his mind.
I shook my head, watching as the scene I had seen minutes before beginning to play out before us, just as the last of the students and staff finally reached our location in the Entrance Courtyard.
Realizing, we all stood in the exact positions I had seen minutes prior in the vision.
Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall walked towards the front, where all of the staff and headmaster stood next to the Ministry of Magic with us students surrounding their group.
I watched as their group huddled together, whispering to one another in a calming manner, before they finally turned to look at all of us.
The minister of magic stood before us all, a dark shadow in his withered face as he considered the crowd that stood before him, grief clear on his face as he scanned the crowd.
He was probably trying to process his thoughts.
"It is with greatband deep grief that I inform you all that we have lost four people from important families in the wizarding world on this day." He said, taking a deep breath before continuing, as I felt myself go tense.
"I am pained to inform you all that Alya Nova Malfoy and her husband Abraxas Keith Malfoy I, were found murdered in their manor this past Monday night. Their eldest son was found well and alive, and is currently residing with the Lestrange family in the safety of their home with them, for the moment." He said, as his eyes landed on the familiar ashen head of hair.
Lucius, who happened to be standing next to Tom, Cissy, and I, let out a pained cry, shaking his head in disbelief.
As he did I felt tears begin to pool in my eyes, anguish shooting within me as I listened to his desperate, pained cries of anguish.
Tom automatically wrapped an arm around my shaking shoulders as if to hold me up, while I heavily leaned heavily against him, feeling the pain Lucius felt through my empathy link.
"No, no, no, no! You-you're wrong! I received a letter from them this past Monday morning. You're wrong. They're not dead!" He shouted, as Bastan and Rod suddenly appeared on either side of him, holding onto him as he doubled over in pain.
I could hear Narcissa's sniffling next to us along with her sisters as we watched the scene unfold.
I looked up at the clouded sky, wanting to cry for they weren't the only ones who were lost, and my suspicions were confirmed when the Minister of Magic spoke once more, breaking all our hearts to pieces once more.
"As much as it saddens me to say, I must continue to inform you of our finds earlier this morning... Earlier this morning, I am sad to inform you all that we found Orion Black and Walaburga Laura Black deceased this morning in their home." He continued.
That is when all hell broke loose, Narcissa and her sister began shaking as they let out cries of anguish, upon realizing that their aunt and uncle were now deceased as well. Somewhere near where we stood, we heard Reggie and Sirius sharp intakes of breath as they heard the news before they too let out pained cries.
Without realizing what I was doing I slowly closed my eyes shooting out calm and soothing waves, in an attempt to numb their agonizing pain.
Tom quickly realized what I was doing, poked my ribs, breaking my concentration, allowing me only to remove part of the pain they all felt, as he shook his head at me.
"Don't." He told me, quietly.
I saw James and Remus trying to comfort a distraught Sirius, as Laura and her brother Dave were attempting to comfort Reggie.
"Now I know that hearing this news is devastating to you all, to some more than others, but we will get to the bottom of this. We won't rest until the culprit is found, and when we do find them, they will be brought in for justice." He finished, looking helpless.
I shook my head, already knowing how this was going to be ending.
Sighing annoyed as we all continued to listen to his foolish words.
"Until further notice, or until we catch who is behind these attacks, no student is allowed to leave the premises without a proper escort, meaning a teacher must be with you at all times. No Hogsmeade trips until further notice, without a proper escort." He said eyeing a few scowling students.
After we were all dismissed Headmaster Dippet told us that we were to go back to our dorms, informing us that classes would be canceled for the rest of the upcoming week.
Food would be taken to us to our assigned houses.
I shook my head at the way they were choosing to proceed and deal with the situation. Sure, there was a psychotic killer out there commiting murders but no one knew that he was actually looking to find me.
The situation was becoming far worse. More deaths would occur if this was not dealt with accordingly.
I knew one thing, I was done running.
If this bloke wants to find me, then I was going to let him.
