It was finally the end of the school day and Izuku couldn't be happier. He was given a day off by Varns and was planning on going to the arcade with Eijiro, who also had a day off. The duo had been texting plans back and forth all morning before school started. He was ecstatic. At this point, nothing could sour his mood.

"Oye, Deku!" On second thought, maybe not. He spun around timidly to face Bakugo. He was mad, as usual.

"Bakugo?"

"Don't give me that shit. I saw you outside the festival" Izuku was confused. He didn't recall seeing the blonde anywhere near the festival.

"I have no idea what you're talking about"

"Bullshit! You passed right by me and taunted me before you ran off like a coward. Don't think I wouldn't get you back for that. You were making fun of me, weren't you!?" It then clicked in the teen's mind. Albedo, he must have run into Bakugo before his DNA was damaged. Izuku mentally cursed his luck.

"Bakugo, that wasn't me. It's a long story but..."

"The fuck do you think I am?! An Idiot?!" He raised one explosive hand, preparing to hit him with it. Izuku braced for impact.

"Fuji-san!" one of his classmate's screamed as he heard the explosion.

He opened his eyes when he didn't feel any pain. He was shocked. Fuji-san was standing between him and Bakugo. She took the hit for him.

"Now, Bakugo-san, don't you think it's not fair to hit him on the last few days of school?" Even Bakugo had a shocked expression on his face. She never did anything like that. She usually stayed out of trouble but, here she was, defending Izuku. Bakugo took a step back.

"The fuck are you doing?"

"Just helping out a friend" Izuku couldn't see her face but, he knew she was smiling. Bakugo seemed to get the message.

"Tch, I'll get you later, Deku" he said as he stormed off. Fuji-san turned to Izuku.

Izuku was horrified by what he saw. A large portion of her face was torn away, exposing the purple anodite skin underneath. No wonder Bakugo was shocked.

"Fuji-san! Your face is..."

"I know, don't worry. My face will heal" she said as she walked away. The classmate that yelled and a few others came to see how she was doing in a panic. She assured them that she was fine. Izuku sighed.

"Thank you" he whispered.
