Lillie starred at Dawn with a huge frown as she saw Dawn slowly stop moving.
"Volt Tackle!" Ash suddenly shouted. He couldn't just stand by and let Lusamine kill Dawn.
Lillie noticed the tentacles jolt at Pikachu, and quickly looked at Piplup. "W-Whirlpool!"
Piplup gave her a serious look, nodded, and used Whirlpool, which held back the tentacles and allowed Pikachu to slam hard into Lusamine.
The force caused Lusamine to have Dawn slip out of her grasp.
Ash noticed this and called out Lycanroc, quickly hopped on him, and they dashed towards Dawn. Just in time they caught her.
Lillie ran to them with a worried look. "Dawn!"
"Pip lup!" Piplup ran to Dawn with a worried look.
Lusamine went to attack all of them with tentacles flying towards them.
Ash turned and saw the tentacles. "Iron Tail!"
Pikachu jumped up and slammed its Iron Tail into the tentacles that slammed into each other and got tangled up. The hard impact from the tentacles made Pikachu hit the ground hard.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.
Pikachu slowly stood up and started panting but ran over to check on Dawn.
Ash put his focus on Dawn as he held her in his arms. "Dawn, please be okay…"
Dawn slowly opened her eyes and saw Ash starring down at her.
"Dawn!" Ash embraced her as tears of relief fell from his face. "I'm so glad your okay! I don't know what I'd do without you!"
Dawn held onto him tightly with a smile. "Ash…"
Lillie looked away with a sad look. "I'm sorry, Dawn. I… put you in a terrible situation."
Ash and Dawn gave her a sympathetic look.
"Lillie…" Dawn started.
Lillie shook her head. "You've helped me so much… Now it's about time for me to do something!"
They gave her a shocked look.
Lillie looked over to Piplup. "And… I would assistance some help to do so."
Piplup tuned to her, closed his eyes, and pounded his chest with a, "lup" saying she can count on him.
Lillie smiled and turned to Dawn to see if she's okay with that.
Dawn looked at her with a smile and nodded.
"Mother… she seemed to have fused with that Ultra Beast… maybe we can get her to faint," Lillie said.
Lusamine got herself situated and was ready to attack.
"It's better than nothing!" Ash shouted. Then commanded Pikachu to use Thunderbolt.
Lusamine blocked the attack with Venoshock, then a then a tentacle came flying towards Pikachu.
"Pikachu, use…" Ash started.
Buneary jumped up and use Bounce on the tentacle to make it slam into the head of the nihilego that Lusamine was fused inside. However, the tentacle's impact was so tough Buneary was going to slam into the ground.
Pikachu quickly ran to her to catch her before she hit the ground, but her impact had him slammed into the ground.
"On no! Pikachu!" Ash shouted.
Buneary got up with a worried look and asked if Pikachu was okay.
Pikachu attempted to get up.
Lusamine's tentacles headed towards Buneary and Pikachu.
Piplup used Whirlpool to stop them again.
"Quickly! Bring Pikachu to me! I have potions to heal him!" Lillie shouted.
Dawn sent out Raichu to distract.
Ash sent out Crabrawler to help.
Buneary picked Pikachu up, but she was slowed down significantly and couldn't move fast.
The tentacles powered out of the whirlpool and went after Pikachu and Buneary again.
Raichu stopped them with its Psychic.
Lillie started to run over to the pair.
Lusamine use Power Gem to attack Lillie.
Lillie screamed as rocks came towards her, but Ash got Crabrawler to smash them and protect her. She quickly as she could tried and make her way towards Pikachu and Buneary, barley avoiding getting hit. Finally, she made it to them, and she pulled out her potions to help Pikachu heal.
Buneary noticed the tentacles broke through Raichu's Psychic and used Ice Beam to make an Ice wall to protect them.
The tentacles slammed into the wall and shattered it.
Lillie gasped as ice shards flew past her.
Then Raichu used Psychic and Piplup used Whirlpool to hold the tentacles.
Lusamine shot out another Rock Gem at Lillie.
Ash sent out the rest of his pokemon to help Crabrawler.
Dawn sent out the rest of her pokemon to attack Lusamine.
Lusamine and Nihilego cried out in pain.
Lillie looked up with a worried look. "Mother…" Then she looked down at Pikachu, then gave a serious look. Lillie quickly used her potions, then let Pikachu heal.
Pikachu quickly jumped up.
"Alright! Thanks, Lillie!" Ash shouted. Then looked over at Pikachu. "You ready, buddy?"
Pikachu nodded.
"Pip…" Dawn started.
Buneary jumped in with a serious look and shouted, "BUN!"
Dawn gave a shocked look, but then nodded.
Lillie and Piplup looked at each other and nodded.
"Hydro Pump!" Lillie commanded.
Ash glowed along with Pikachu and they started a stance.
Dawn and Buneary glowed and did a different stance.
Lusamine broke through the Psychic again, but vision got blocked by Salazzle's Flamethrowler.
Buneary and Dawn did their pose, and Buneary slammed into Lusamine with Breakneck Blitz.
After Buneary hit, Pikachu came flying in and hit her hard with Catastropika.
Lusamine feel down as she screamed in pain, as well as Nihilego. Suddenly, they unfused and Lusamine laid on the ground as the Nihilego disappeared.
"Mother!" Lillie shouted. She ran over to Lusamine with a panicked look, then kneeled to her.
Lusamine turned to Lillie with a surprised look. "Lillie…" She lifted a hand to Lillie's face and touched her nose. "When did you become so… beautiful."
Lillie gasped with a surprised look.
Lusamine's hand fell, and she went unconscious.
"Mother!" Lillie shouted.
Dawn and Ash ran up to them with a worried look.
"Oh no!" Ash shouted.
"Is she…" Dawn started.
Guzma came running to them. "Hey! Just what did you brats do to Lusamine?"
They all kept their attention on Lusamine.
"…Lillie, we are so sorry," Ash said.
She shook her head. "I know… there wasn't much choice mother was giving us."
Guzma put his hands on his hips with an angry look and angrily shouted, "HEY!"
The whole place started shaking with the screeching of the nihilego all around.
"W-w-what's going on?" Dawn asked.
Pikachu glared at Guzma and started sparking at him, thinking it's his fault.
"Hey, if you all didn't ignore me, I wouldn't have shouted!" Guzma stated.
A bunch of Nihilego appeared and screeched.
Ash and Pikachu glared at them, ready to fight.
Lillie gave a worried look. "There's so many… we can't take them all on."
Nebby jumped down, and they all disappeared, and returned to the Alter of Moone.
Everyone looked around in shock. Then they noticed Hapu.
"Hapu?!" Ash shouted.
"I was concerned, so I came up to the Alter." Hapu then looked up at Nebby. "And I'd never expected to run into the legendary pokemon… and that weird hole in the sky." Then she looked back to the group. "However, it is a relief to see you all here unharmed."
"Well, almost all of us…" Ash said.
They all looked at Lusamine.
Lillie looked at Hapu with a worried look.
Hapu looked at Lusamine, then turned to Guzma. "You there! Carry the women, well ya? She looks weak but doesn't appear to be seriously harmed."
There was a bit of sigh of relief from everyone.
"We should quickly get her treated!"
"Oh, okay… Yeah." Guzma quickly picked her up and placed her gently on Hapu's Mudsdale.
Hapu went to Ash, Dawn, and Lillie. "Seems you done what y'all were set out to do. We'll be waitin down below when you're ready to go."
"Th-thank you, Hapu!" Lillie said.
Hapu smiled and nodded. Then she and Guzma headed down.
Lillie then turned to Nebby. "Nebby… I set out to help you, but… it turns out you've helped me over and over again…" She smiled. "Thank you… Thank you, so much!"
Nebby roared at her.
Lillie walked over to it. "What's the matter?"
It looked at Ash, then Dawn, then nuzzled Lillie.
Lillie laughed and petted it. "Are you trying to tell me… you want to continue traveling with me, Dawn, and Ash?"
Nebby nodded and licked her face.
"Wow, you knew what Nebby was saying?" Ash asked.
Lillie giggled. "Of course! We've been together for so long, like family… that's why I could tell how Nebby feels!"
Dawn smiled and nodded. "Makes sense to me!"
Lillie closed her eyes. "Well, I… I also feel the same. We met a bunch of people as we traveled Alola: Professor Kukui and Burnet… Kahuna Hala and his grandson Hau…" She turned to Ash and Dawn with a smile. "And the heroes who helped us with so much… Ash and Dawn." She looked up at the sky. "… And so many other people too!" Lillie turned back to Nebby. "I don't know what your world is like… but this world is great, too! You want to see it all!" She closed her eyes with a thoughtful look. "It's like Kahuna Hala told us… we can go to many places and meet many people, and they enrich your life!" She looked away with an unsure look. "I just don't know if I can…"
Ash walked over to her with a determined look. "Of course you can!"
Piplup jumped up and down as she shouted at her.
"Ash and Piplup's right! You commanded Piplup so well and were a big help! You'll be a great trainer for Nebby!" Dawn said.
Lillie looked away. "But… I don't even have pokeballs…"
Ash held out a pokeball to her.
Lillie gave a surprised look.
"You used your potion to heal Pikachu! This is the least I can do!"
Lillie tears welled up, but she smiled and nodded. "Thank you…" She then turned to Nebby. "If you really like to stay with me, Nebby… you need to stay in the ball."
Nebby nodded in understanding.
Lillie chucked the pokeball, it hit Nebby, and the beam absorbed it.
It started wiggling as everyone starred at it intensely. Suddenly, it stopped moving.
Lillie gave a shocked look as she starred at the pokeball in disbelief.
"You did it!" Ash exclaimed.
"Congratulations, Lillie!" Dawn said.
Lillie smiled. "Thanks, you two." She then went and picked up the pokeball and let it out, knowing how it hated being confined into one spot as it did with constantly slipping out of her bag. It nuzzled her as she petted it. "Let's go see mother now…"
It roared in compliance.
"I'll see you two later. Thanks so much!"
Ash and Dawn waved.
"Good luck, Lillie!" Dawn shouted.
"Take care!" Ash shouted.
She waved then she and Lillie left.
Ash and Dawn took each other's hands with a smile and headed back as well.
