Evangeline, who walked in before us, quickly lit the small hearth and turned towards us expectantly.
I plopped down onto the wooden stool exhausted, and watched as Bellatrix tried to do the same, but ended up missing the stool and fell in a heap to the floor.
Naricssa and Evangeline burst into fits of giggle as they watched her lay on the ground for a few seconds before sitting up in a daze.
"I could swear on bloody Merlin's beard that I just saw my life flash before my eyes." She complained, looking towards me, silently asking to give her a hand.
I shook my head at her in amusement before I extended my arm and helped her to her feet.
Evangeline and Narcissa watched us for a second before straightening up and sitting around the table with us.
"Silencio." I said, waving my hand in the air.
"Colloportus." Narcissa muttered, as she waved her wand.
Bellatrix put up the imperturbable spell, and sat down before looking back out the window.
"Annie. Annie, I think there is someone outside." She said, before looking back at me.
I gave them all a smirk before I turned to look out the window.
Quickly realizing that the guys ignored my orders and were now trying to get into the small hut we were all in.
"Revelio." I called, watching as a breeze blew.
I watched as five figures appeared before me, smirking as I stunned them with a flick of my wrist.
"Ladies, it appears that we won't be able to speak contently here. Meet me in my room tonight at a quarter to ten. For now, let's go give our unexpected guests a warm welcome." I said, watching as they smirked at each other.
'I told them to leave you be.' Tom thought sighing in exasperation as he slowly made his way towards us.
'Yes, well these days everybody seems to be overlooking direct orders.' I thought, scowling.
I stepped closer to them, looking at who they were.
Laying there on the ground unconscious was Dolohov, Yaxley, Rosier, and the Lestrange twins.
"Well, well, well. Looks like we caught ourselves a group of five weasels. What ever shall we do with them. Ladies, any suggestions?" I asked.
"I say we use one of the curses Snape taught us." Bellatrix said.
"Bellatrix we're trying to teach them a lesson not slaughter them. Save the slaughtering for the bloke that wants to kill Riddle and Annie." Narcissa chastised, rolling her eyes at her sister.
"I never get to have any fun." She muttered before pouting, stomping her foot as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Ladies." Tom said, as he made his way over to me.
"Tom." I said, rolling my eyes at him.
"What spell did you use?" He asked.
"Stupefy." I mumbled, annoyed.
"Pity. I would've at least used the other spell you used on Yaxley last year." Tom muttered as he stared down.
I ignored everything else that happened and quickly began making my way up the steep hill towards the school.
Making my way through the empty corridors, ignoring a few calls of my name before I turned the hall and walked down the final steps that led towards the Great Hall.
The girls and I walked into the Great Hall in silence.
I slowlymade my way towards the Slytherin table and sat down on the front of the table. Wanting nothing more than to go to sleep at that moment.
"Anna, what's really going on?" Evangeline finally asked as she sat down with us instead of sitting with her friend.
I sighed tiredly, as I cupped my chin and put my elbow on the table to support my head, as I stared at her unblinkingly.
"Remember how near the end of the summer I spoke to Andromeda Tonks?" I asked, watching as Bellatrix and Narcissa flinched as they heard her sister's newname.
"Yes, I-I do. What does this have to do with that conversation? Did she find something?" She asked, wide-eyed, as realization set in.
I nodded as the food appeared before us.
We quickly began to eat, ignoring the fact that Tom had just strolled into the Great Hall, with the guys walking stiffly behind him.
Wishing to be alone for a few moments, just to wrap my head around what I had just seen.
I ate lightly, ignoring the fact that my stomach was beginning to churn as I did so.
Once I was done eating, I quickly got up and went to the library to finish the notes I was working on this morning.
I had only a few notes on Herbology, but thanks to Newt, who was an expert at Herbology, letting me copy down his personal notes I was able to study a few hours before going to bed.
Come Monday morning, we'd be starting on N.E.W.T.S. I only hoped that this week didn't fly by because we had to evacuate the school before Saturday morning.
I woke up the next morning feeling emotionally drained. All these visions were starting to grate on my nerves.
I chose to shower with lukewarm water, and changed into my floor-length black and gray, scoop neckcotton dress. Before slipping my chunky heeled boots after exiting the bathroom into the warm room.
Bellatrix, who was sitting in the bed, already showered, dressed, and with shoes on her feet.
She looked up from the book on her lap as I slowly began to make my way towards the mirror to apply a thin layer of makeup, and pinned my wavy hair back, out of my face.
"You know, you've beenlooking rather tired lately. Is there something wrong?" She asked me.
"I-I went to visit Madam Noelle, last week because I'd been feeling sort of funny lately." I muttered as I kept my eyes in front of me.
"What happened?" She asked me, fear in her voice.
"I don't know how to even begin to explain this, Bella, but somehow I-I've managed to change the future." I said, before she interrupted.
"I thought that was what we were trying to do?" She asked.
I rolled my eyes at her, sighing in exasperation, before turning to answer her.
"It wasn't supposed to change like this, Bellatrix. I-I mean I-I had been feeling funny for the past month and a half. My-my time of the month didn't come this or last month. So, I went to ask Madam Noelle if it was possible to give me something for my reoccurring headaches." I said.
"Wait." She said, interrupting me. "Silencio!" She whisper-yelled, waving her hand in the air.
"She asked my questions. Basic questions of health. How was I feeling at the moment? Did I have any reoccurring pain? When was the last day of my last period? Anyways, she asked permission before she took a blood sample, and gave me a pain relieving potion. When she came back, she was pale as a sheet, and her mouth was opening and closing like acodfish." I said, sitting down on the couch.
I sighed, remembering her face as her dark, beady eyes bugged out of her head, and her mouth opened and closed, gaping at me like a fish out of water.
"After I helped calm her down, she looked at me and then at the little piece of paper she had in her hand with the results." I said, sighing before my lower lip began to tremble and tears began to blur my vision, "I'm pregnant, Bellatrix." I whispered, looking down at the floor.
I heard as she inhaled sharply before she got up quickly and walked over to me.
Her excitement was so much that she jumped, enclosing me in a tight hug as she bounced in excitement.
"What?! Seriously? How? Never mind, I don't mean how, I mean when did it happen?" She asked excitedly as she pulled away.
I nodded, keeping my head down before answering her onslaught of questions.
"My guesses are at the beginning of March, just after that trip we all took to Hogsmeade..." I whispered, looking at her, watching as she began to pace before the warm fire.
"How many people know?" She asked, carefully.
"C-counting you?" I asked, watching as she nodded in response. "All of five." I said.
"Which would be?" She asked, halting a few feet away from me.
"Headmaster Dippet, Professor McGonagall- seeing as she's my guardian, Madam Noelle, Professor Dumbledore, and now you." I sighed.
"That's why you've been moody, and distant these past few weeks?" She asked.
I nodded sighing tiredly, trying to ignore the oncoming headache I began to feel forming.
"Merlin's beard, I'm going to be an aunty!" She squealed.
"Andi is having a baby girl in a week's time. You're already an aunty, as you so eloquently put it." I said, dryly, rolling my eyes at her excitement.
"You know what I mean, Annie. You get my brazenness, they don't." She scoffed.
"Yes, well, the time has come, Bella. I need your help. I'm going to tell your sister Cissy, and nowEva. Along with a few members of the Gryffindor house. Then the plan we made months backwill be set in motion." I finally told her.
It was shortly after breakfast, all three of us went to the library, while Bellatrix went to wait and see when Andromeda and Ted would arrive.
At exactly a quarter to ten, they arrived.
Narcissa and I were called into the Headmaster's office where they were waiting, Evangeline left saying she was going back to her room to get some rest.
I walked into the office slowly, with Cissy trailing behind me. As soon as I stepped through the door, Andi waddled towards me, quickly pulling me into a tight hug.
"Sweetheart, let her breathe." Ted said from behind her, as he slowly pulled her off of me.
"I'm sorry, Annie,I'm just so happy to see you." She said, smiling at me, scanning me from head to toe as if to check if there were any changes.
"I've missed you too." I replied, smiling widely at them.
"How are you? How are you feeling?" She asked, eyeing me worriedly.
"You told her before me?!" Bellatrix cried, from her seat.
"I had to, Bella, I-I needed to ask someone who has experience in this field..." I mumbled.
"Told who what?" Narcissa asked as we all sat down in the otherwise empty office, as she locked the door behind her.
Andromeda looked at me, quietly asking if she could say anything. I looked over at Ted who, was staring at me quietly too.
"Cissy, I'm pregnant." I whispered.
"Seriously? H-ow... wait, no, no. L-let me rephrase that, with who?" She asked, dumbfounded.
"Cissy, I think we all know who the father of that spawn is." Bellatrix commented dryly.
"Of course, stupidof me to ask thatquestion." She muttered to herself, shaking her head.
I gave them all a watery smile before turning to Andromeda, waiting quietly for her to begin.
She looked at the ground before she stood up, slowly, and began to pace before me.
I watched as she waddled back and forth before me, her protruding stomach moving in waves as she paced.
"We made a discovery as we searched for the information you asked us for. It just doesn't make sense. It's rather absurd." She said.
"I know. I've already seen what you say. Andi, it's fine, you don't have to say anything. But I think the others want an explanation of sorts." I said.
"It's just doesn't make sense." She said, as she paced, suddenly turning towards me.
"Don't you see Anna, they've lied. All of them. Your parents aren't dead! They went into hiding. Someone was hunting them down like worthless animals. There is absolutely no evidence supporting their deaths, just people words. No bodies were buried, no death certifications... nothing..." She said, heatedly.
Ted quickly put a calming hand on her shoulder, causing her to sigh before looking me in the eyes. They stared at one another before continuing.
"There is more that we discovered, and frankly, we're honestly too scared to utter it... we're not even sure how, just that it is." Ted said, looking at me sadly.
Seeing this and living it is completely and utterly different, my stomach began churning just like this morning but this time it felt different.
"You seriously can't expect me to believe all of this right now do you? H-how is it even possible?" I asked, feeling my stomach begin to churn.
Andromeda grabbed my hand, closing her eyes in concentration.
I quickly watched as Ted and she walked through the Ministry of Magic. A department I didn't recognize. They walked slowly before they began searching through document upon documents.
"H-how?" I gasped out, feeling as my body doubled over, my chest feeling tight and my lung struggled to take in oxygen.
I quickly ran towards the trash bin that was stuffed into a corner of the room, unable to stop as I spewed over and over until I felt the bit of energy I had slowly drain from me.
When I finally stopped I sighed, wiping my mouth roughly with the back of my hand.
Ted slowly made his way towards me and Bellatrix, who appeared at my side, with a glass of water, watching as I rinsed my mouth, spiting into the trash bin, before I drank the water slowly. He helped me to my feet along with Bellatrix.
"Do you want to go to see Madam Noelle, maybe she can give you something for the nausea." Bellatrix whispered as she moved a few pieces of hair from my face.
"I'm alright." I said as they all looked at me worriedly. "Answer the question please." I croaked, as they helped me sit down in the chair.
"We don't know." Ted said, honestly.
I sighed, already knowing what was going to be said next.
"That's not everything... When we questioned that retched woman at the Wool's Orphanage, and looked through her memory and mind, we thought that her mind and memories may have been tampered with. The memory she had of Tom's mother was false, two people helped out in his birth. A woman with multicolored hair and a tall blonde man." She said, slowly.
I felt as my legs began to give from under me.
"I'm sorry, I know, this is difficult to hear, but there's one more thing. You should know..." Ted said, trying to calm me as I collapsed onto the seat behind me.
"W-what's that? Please... don't let it be what I think it is." I said, my lips beginning to tremble.
"The woman...she-" Ted began, but stopped when I began to shake my head in disbelief.
"She was pregnant." Andi interrupted, hugging me as I began to gasp, and tears dropped from my eyes.
Bellatrix and Narcissa let out gasps in disbelief, quickly wrapping their arms around my shoulders as I felt my body lose its energy.
"How is that even possible, Andi? I mean all these years, everyone has thought they were dead, and now suddenly it turns out that they're alive and in hiding? That's a bit ridiculous to believe, even for me." Bellatrix said.
"There are sighed of what we say are true." She argued back.
"Stop." I said, looking at all of them.
"Whatever the truth maybe, it doesn't matter. We're exactly a week away from Nikolai coming here. Andi, I know you won't be able to make it, you're pregnant. But the plan we spoke about last year, it, it'll be set in motion just after this." I said.
Andromeda nodded, looking towards Ted.
"Not one word of this is to leave this office. I mean it, this has to be kept a secret. Narcissa, you might want to tell them what happened to you." I added, before standing up, "I'll leave you now so you can discuss this." I said, making my way out of the office, down the stairs and back towards the common room.
