It had been a week since Marina, Tyler, and Kole discussed their situation at the smoothie bar. Marina knew that the other two had gone to their teacher, Mr. Short, about it and seemed to be fine, but they hadn't discussed what had happened at all. She wasn't sure if the other two had even gotten any useful information about what's going on.

Currently, Marina was at home with her older sister. She knew that her sister had noticed that something was off, but they hadn't spoken about it at all. Marina didn't want to freak her sister out with what was going on.

Marina's sister, Molly, looked at her. "The smoothie bar is for sale. I think I want to buy it."

Marina raised an eyebrow. "Can you afford it?"

"Yeah, we have enough money. I think we would benefit from it."

"Are you still going to run it as a smoothie bar?"

"Yeah, but I'd definitely give the place some new renovations."

"That's good."

"Are you okay? You seem off. Did you and Marcus have a fight?"

"No, we're fine. I'm fine. I'm just a little tired."

"Do you need to go to bed? Don't let me stop you."

"No, I have some stuff for school that I need to work on."

"Do you need to do it or want to? I know you've been putting extra effort into school, but Mom and Dad wouldn't expect you to drain yourself this much if they were here."

"I'm not drained. I'm fine."

"If you say so." Molly received a text. "I've gotta go to work. Will you be okay?"

"Yeah, go ahead and go to work."

"Okay. Don't exhaust yourself."

"I won't."

Molly leaves. Marina turns on the TV. She hears something that sounds like it's coming from upstairs and glances behind her. She shrugs it off and goes back to watching TV before hearing it again.

Marina turns the TV off before slowly getting up from the couch. She walks upstairs and peeks around before spotting yet another bipedal octopus.

Tyler and Kole were training, as they typically did during their free time since becoming Power Rangers. They hadn't had to do anything to defend Coaltown yet, but they both knew it was coming sooner than later. Both froze as they heard an alarm.

Mr. Short walked in. "Looks like there's the first major disturbance since the reemergence of the Destructogons. You're needed at the town square."

Tyler and Kole nodded before exiting and heading straight for the town square.

"Are you nervous?" Kole asked as they headed to take on the Destructogons.

Tyler nodded. "Of course I am, but we can't let that stop us."

"It would be much easier if Marina joined us."

"Well I doubt that's happening any time soon."

"She'd probably be more willing if you weren't so rude to her."

"I'm not rude to her." Tyler used his Morpher to transform into his Power Rangers uniform.

Kole did the same. "Yes, you are."

"How am I rude to Marina, Kole? I'm not. She just doesn't like me because Marcus doesn't like me."

"How are you rude to Marina? Let's see, you give her shit about Marcus, you give her shit about focusing on her studies as much as she does, you tell her she needs to live more. Do I need to go on?"

"I see your point, but don't act like she isn't rude to me either."

"You usually instigate things with her."

"Do I or is this because the two of you are kinda friends?"

"We're not close, and I'm not close with you either. I have an outside perspective here, so I'm telling you what I've seen."

"This is ridiculous, Kole. You're over exaggerating this."

"Am I over exaggerating or are you in denial? I think she'd be nicer to you if you were nice to her."

"I'm not the problem here. She is."

"Maybe it's both of you…what the hell is that thing?"

"That must be the Destructogon. Let's go."

Marina stared at the creature in front of her. "Just great, I'm so sick of this already."

The creature moved towards Marina, so she followed her instincts and held her hands forward, like she had before, and managed to freeze the bipedal octopus in front of her. Like her previous experience, the creature disintegrated into ash right after being frozen. Marina stood in silence, feeling incredibly uncertain.

"How the hell did that thing get in my house?" Marina quietly asked before she started slowly creeping around.

Part of Marina had a feeling there was possibly another creature in the house. She heard a noise behind her and immediately used her powers, freezing another creature and turning it to ash as well.

"This is insane. This is so insane." Marina muttered before heading back downstairs.

Marina sat down in the living room and turned the TV on. The news channel was on. Marina was stunned. The news channel was showing a feed of tons of those creatures in the main part of town.

"Holy shit." Marina muttered and continued watching.

Then, the news feed showed two people in costumes fighting off the creatures. One of the costumes was red, and the other costume was yellow. The two people were using fire and electricity to fight off the creatures. Marina had a feeling she knew exactly who was in those costumes.

"Those two are out of their minds." Marina commented. "How could they just go out there and do that? They're going to get themselves hurt."

Marina watched on as they fought off the creatures, but she noticed something. There was another creature, who looked different from the bipedal octopi that Marina was used to seeing, that seemed to be in charge of them.

"What have we gotten ourselves into?" Marina questioned. "All this because of those rocks. This is insane."

Marina turned the TV off as she couldn't bear to watch any more of it. She was now fearful of what the three of them had gotten themselves into.
