Chapter 4 - The Morning After
St. Freya, Fu Hua's room - Honkai Impact 3rd World - July 2016 - The Morning following the end of chapter 3
(General P.O.V)
Daylight breaks through the horizon at dawn as two strikingly similar women slumber in the same room together, one of them letting out a groan as they slowly sit up in their futon. The woman in question is Fu Hua who briefly looks as if she's in a daze before looking at her side and seeing a woman who looks almost identical to her, memories belonging to the events of the previous day immediately flooding her mind as her eyes widen before a grimace sets on her expression.
"...It's strange to think I have a Herrscher as a sister now…" Fu Hua says although she admits that it just feels right considering that the woman at her side seems so much like her, even bearing her fighting style, something that she alone should be the last one who truly follows the School of Taixuan.
Fu Hua knows that Fuchou knows more than the memories that were accidentally transferred showed her, although she is hesitant to press her on the details considering it is clear that her new sister has just recently undergone a particularly traumatic scenario and came out of it as the only survivor.
It's then that Fu Hua notices Fuchou's pillow has been stained with tears, making the woman look at her sister in sympathy as she can tell not even her dreams were safe from the torment of what she went through at the hands of…Kevin.
Thinking about what Kevin Kaslana would do in the future according to these memories of Fuchou's is both surprising to see and yet it strangely fits with Fu Hua's understanding of the man somehow.
It's clear to Fu Hua at the very least that the events in the future have had a profound on Fuchou's mental state, meaning that the Herrscher will likely desire to seek to ensure that what happens in the future will never happen again.
While before meeting Fuchou, she tried to keep some measure of distance from Kiana Kaslana and Raiden Mei due to the two being factors in the Overseer's plans, seeing what they would become in the future Fu Hua decides it would be best to get to know them better...
Speaking of the Overseer, however, Fu Hua's mind is still reeling from the intense feeling of betrayal from the memory she witnessed regarding Otto Apocolypse. While it's clear there is some missing context regarding this memory, one thing is quite clear however, there is no changing the fact that Otto Apocolypse would be the one to kill her while also simultaneously giving rise to the one who would become Fuchou...
With this in mind, Fu Hua can no longer bring herself to trust the Overseer of Schicksal as she did prior as it's clear even without the full context of the memory, he's planning something disastrous regarding Kiana.
However, all of this circles back to one person as only that one person can truly give her the answers she seeks, Fuchou herself. As Fu Hua ponders exactly how to word her questions regarding the memories she saw, she sees Fuchou waking up...
P.O.V Shift
(Fuchou's P.O.V)
I groan softly as I slowly wake up, my mind in a haze as I open my eyes to see Old-Timer staring at me. It's only when I realize process what I see do the events of the previous day come flooding back into my memory because….
"...So….It wasn't just some long nightmare….." I say with a despondent tone, truthfully some part of me wanted to still deny the reality of what happened, but because I had woken up to still be in Old-timer's….no…sister's room in St. Freya, I can no longer deny the crushing truth...
My sister, Fu Hua just looks at me with a look of sympathy as she moves closer before she gives me a gentle hug, something that genuinely catches me off guard before she says... "While there is very little one can say to console someone who has essentially time-traveled after losing those close to them, I will say this however….I am here if you need me, sister.."
I am silent for several seconds before I slowly and hesitantly wrap my arms around Fu Hua, trying desperately to keep a semblance of composure although some tears do leak out regardless, just taking comfort in the embrace of my…sister.
"...Why do you call me, a Herrscher at that, your sister…I'm the very thing you hate aren't I…?" I can't help but hesitantly ask, feeling Fu Hua stiffen slightly at that before she gently but firmly tightens the hug and before long she soon says…
"You're right, I hate Honkai….but I can't hate you sister, for in a way you're the only family I have left…" Fu Hua says, my eyes widening as I recall how Fu Hua's original family died so long ago, in a way she's right however due to this unique scenario, I am biologically related to her.
"...I guess you're right….little sister.." I say, a very faint smile appearing on my face as Fu Hua pulls back to give me a flat look and responds by saying... "Technically, you're the little sister here Fuchou, considering you're only essentially two years old by the time…that happens.."
At first, my smile fades like water in the Sahara desert before I quickly regain it and bounce back with a retort by saying... "Hmph, says the one who actively uses things that mess with your memories!". Fu Hua can't help but roll her eyes at that, although she knows I'm right in that regard she doesn't call out how that doesn't change the age aspect.
She does change the topic again however as she hesitantly asks…. "Fuchou, I know this is a difficult subject, but would you be willing to tell me everything that happened to you..?". There is silence for several seconds as I sigh softly and look at her sadly…
"What much is there to tell, we lost, that bastard Kevin won….that's all there is to it…" I say with a bitter, defeated tone, making Fu Hua shake her head before she responds by saying... "Even so, I would like to hear the details and not just what happened on the moon, but the stuff before that as well.."
I take a moment to think about it as I stare at my new sister, unsure if I should reveal more than I already have considering her allegiance to Otto, but Fu Hua, as if sensing why I am hesitating, soon says… "If you're worried about this getting back to the Overseer, don't, what you've shown me so far makes it clear I cannot trust the man like I used to.."
Hearing this, I sigh deeply and look into Fu Hua's eyes before saying... "Fine…I suppose it's only fair I give you the whole story rather than hope whatever memories you saw possess enough context..". I take a moment to collect my scattered thoughts before slowly building the courage to start talking, beginning a long explanation of how things would go over the next few years...
An hour of explanations later
(Fuchou's P.O.V)
Both of us are silent as my new sister takes it all in, her eyes closed as the scent of fresh tea fills the air of the room as we ultimately chose to have some refreshments during the latter half of my explanation.
"I see…." Fu Hua says as she sighs while opening her eyes and looking at her cup of tea in her grasp, finally having the additional context she needs to properly comprehend the situation. She looks up at me and soon asks... "So my future self made a deal of some sort of higher power I assume, to give you these…unusual abilities…may I take a look at this phone you were given..?"
I grumble briefly but decide to take the phone out of the pocket space I have been keeping it, and reluctantly hand it over to Fu Hua who begins to inspect it carefully. I keep silent as Fu Hua carefully looks through the phone, her eyes narrowing several times before she finally hands it back to me.
"It seems that your new abilities come with several unique….features shall we say, like that armband you have on you being able to bind others to you and grant others bound to you abilities they had never possessed prior…" Fu Hua says, internally stunned by the sheer amount of possibilities that could come as a result of me being a contractor.
"Heh, I'm awesome aren't I..?" I can't help but say with a smug smile, a bit of brief levity filling me before it fades and I sigh softly, unable to truly keep a smile on my face at the moment as it's still way too soon to properly bounce back to my…usual self.
Fu Hua herself sighs at my downcast expression before she soon says.. "Fuchou, please take a look at the missions list as one of the missions pertains to our world, I think you'll find something interesting listed on it.."
I nod sullenly before opening the missions menu…..and nearly drop the phone in shock, my eyes widening as I see the current top mission on the mission list. Almost as if whatever higher power gave me this power agrees with me, there is a mission known as Defang the Serpent
There are just three Primary conditions on it, with three optional ones although for me two are not optional at all to me. There is no hesitation as I actively accept the Mission Defang the Serpent, while the rewards are incredible there is a much more personal element to it for me…
"...I accepted it, there is no fucking way I will let that bastard Kin-slayer get away with it this time.." I say with a furious expression on my face, my grief buried for the moment by a white-hot feeling of rage and vengeance like it was yesterday as if seared into my very soul.
Fu Hua nods solemnly and responds by saying... "Indeed, while there is still much that either of us don't know right now, I can't let Kevin go down this path….it is just too much.." Which gets a firm nod in response from me, feeling a sense of relief that my new sister supports me in this new goal.
I then see Fu Hua look towards the analog clock in the room and ponder for a moment before she gets up and says... "I think it's best that I let others know you're here resting in my room for now, lest people worry that a Herrscher is loose on campus without someone keeping an eye on them.."
I nod in response before wincing as I recall that I was supposed to be watched over by Kiana before I wandered off yesterday, I have a feeling I'll need to apologize to her later for getting her into trouble because of me...
With Fu Hua leaving the room, I am left alone with a slowly going cold cup of tea in my hands to which I start taking idle sips of while I take a moment to truly think about things. It's a struggle not to think back to what happened on the moon in my original timeline so instead, I decide to take out the phone to browse it.
While looking through the Waifu Perks section, I come across the perks of Kiana, Mei, and Bronya. Almost immediately there is an urge to try and save up the credits to grant this time-lines version of the trio their full power long before that moment...
However, as I am looking through my build to see where I can save credits, my eyes stare at the Wage Slave function enabled. Reading through it, I groan as while reading the rules for Wage Slaves, I will not be able to gain credits by capturing or selling others, meaning my ability to earn credits will be hamstrung fairly well but at least there seem to be missions that I can undertake to substitute that avenue of credit-earning…
Eventually, Fu Hua does come back looking slightly frustrated as she sighs and takes a seat opposite me before she says… "No one had even noticed you had wandered off until I pointed out you were with me in my room currently, which is quite surprising all things considered as I had not expected security to be so lax with a Herrscher on campus.."
I look away as I briefly recall having used my powers as the Herrscher of Sentience to make the others briefly not notice I wasn't there in order to follow the strange pull I felt that led me to Fu Hua yesterday, although I don't tell her that as I am pretty sure she wouldn't approve of it.
Unfortunately, Fu Hua can tell I've done something that had led to that before, which just makes her sigh and shake her head and say... "Sister, please tell me you didn't use your Herrscher powers to mess with the minds of security in order to sate your wanderlust.."
The guilty expression on my face is all she needs to know the answer to that question and she has to resist the urge to abandon any semblance of dignity and facepalm. Ultimately Fu Hua decides to move on from thinking about that and soon we begin to talk about how we're gonna handle things from here...
All while unaware that others are currently planning things behind the scenes elsewhere...
Meanwhile - Anti-Entropy Base, USA
(General P.O.V)
Inside a boardroom, two young women sit on two seats in a video conference with two other members of Anti-Entropy.
The first of the four people involved in this conference is Lizelle Einstein who bears long aquamarine hair, the second is Fredrika Tesla, wearing red-rimmed glasses and has long red hair tied in twin tails, with the two women being physically present in the boardroom.
On the video conference is two men, one is the disgraced former CEO of ME corps Raiden Ryoma and the other is Siegfried Kaslana, both being the fathers of Mei and Kiana respectively. Soon Einstein speaks up as she soon says... "Thank you for getting into contact with us on such short notice, we wouldn't be asking this of either of you two if this wasn't so important.."
"Well, it's not like I can really do much with my body acting up as it is.." Siegfried Kaslana says, giving off a casual tone but is at least paying attention somewhat. Raiden Ryoma on the other hand has his focus squarely on the two geniuses of Anti-Entropy as he has a hunch something big is about to be revealed and remains silent for the moment.
"So I assume you both might have heard already that the Battleship Selene was captured by Schicksal recently and had been taken to St. Freya…" Einstein says as she notes Siegfried perks up slightly at the mention of St. Freya but has yet to put his full attention on the matter so Einstein continues by saying...
"What you might not know, however, is the reports of much higher levels of Honkai Radiation not too long before Schicksal Valkyries got on the Selene, high enough that we have confirmed reports that a Herrscher was sighted at Sapphire city…" There is a tense silence as everyone in the meeting knows the seriousness of a Herrscher's appearance in a city as Raiden Ryoma soon asks...
"Have we confirmed the Herrscher's Domain yet..?" Tesla and Einstein look at each other with a grimace as Telsa reluctantly says... "Yes but…it's not what it should be.." Catching the heightened attention of both Raiden Ryoma and Siegfried Kaslana as Einstein sighs before she soon says...
"The Herrscher's domain is Sentience.." This declaration stuns both Raiden Ryoma and Siegfried Kaslana as both of them understand how much of a game-changer this is with Siegfried soon saying... "Wait, but that should be impossible as didn't you both previously estimate that the next Herrscher is the Domain of Wind..?"
Both geniuses of Anti-Entropy grimace as they nod as they did indeed predict the next Herrscher being that of Wind, the two of them having been caught completely off-guard themselves when it turned out the new Herrscher's Domain is Sentience.
The domain of sentience should have been the eighth Herrscher domain to appear on earth, not the fourth like it is now, meaning that this one Herrscher has completely changed the order of Herrscher domains.
"As you can imagine, this should not be possible but what really makes things interesting is that according to the reports we could gather, the Herrscher fought against the Honkai rather than attempt to destroy humanity…" Einstein says as even now what she says just feels extremely surreal as while the First Herrscher, the Herrscher of Reason, fought for Humanity's sake in the fight against the Honkai…
The First Herrscher is currently regarded as the exception and not the rule, only now there is now yet another Herrscher that not only bucks this trend, but has completely flipped the table regarding the Domain Order as well…
"And where exactly is this Herrscher now…?" Raiden Ryoma asks as he can't help but feel curious as to the current location of this new Wildcard on the metaphorical board. Einstein and Tesla look at each other before Einstein soon says... "The Herrscher of Sentience had joined the Schicksal Valkyries onboard the Selene and has now been confirmed to have joined Schicksal itself so there is only one place it could be right now…. .."
Almost immediately after saying that Siegfried has his full attention on the conversation as he quickly says.. "Wait hold up, my daughter is now in the same building as a fucking Herrscher?! " The man's paternal instincts kicked in hard as his worries regarding Kiana skyrocket, with Raiden Ryoma himself also appearing quite tense as he knows that his own daughter is also in the same building as Kiana Kaslana…
"One that, if a report from one Raiden Mei that we managed to get a hold of is to be believed, seemed to be very protective of said daughter of yours Siegfried.." Tesla says blandly as Siegfried struggles to figure out if he should be relieved about that or feel even more worried for his dear daughter Kiana...
Einstein sighs as she rubs her temples as if to stifle a headache and soon says... "Either way, the Herrscher of Sentience has chosen to side with humanity like the first Herrscher and as such, we need to figure out how to include her presence in our future plans.." The other three people attending the meeting nod their heads as they start to move the topic of the meeting away from the Herrscher of Sentience herself to how to handle the way her presence utterly broke the previously established order of domains...
St. Freya Headmistress's office - Half an hour later
(Fuchou's P.O.V)
It's silence as I hear the sound of a small, white-haired girl just tapping on the holographic display, not even looking at me as me and Fu Hua wait for her to finish her paperwork. It feels as if the white-haired midget is just doing this as a sort of punishment for going off on my own...
Well fuck me if it isn't working as I feel myself getting more and more restless by the second, the only reason I haven't blown up at her yet is my sister's presence next to me keeping me calm enough to not act rashly.
Eventually, the white-haired brat finally finishes her paperwork, and only then does she actually look at me with a slightly smug smile and say… "Thank you for being patient Ms. Herrscher, I'm quite happy to know you actually can stay where you're supposed to be when you want to~!"
Must not kill this brat, must not kill this brat, MUST NOT KILL THIS BRAT!
As if the white-haired brat of a headmistress can tell that pissing me off so much is not a good survival strategy, she backs off and sighs before Theresa soon says… "Look, do you have any idea how worried we all were when you disappeared all of a sudden, we genuinely considered your entrance into St. Freya as some strange ploy to cause havoc until your new….sister essentially told us where you were last night…."
While at first I was worried at what Fu Hua shared, Theresa just looks at me with sympathy and soon says... "While your sister hasn't given me the details, Fu Hua has at least told me you experienced a deep tragedy that is what led to you becoming a Herrscher albeit one who has a hatred for the Honkai, not humanity…"
I am stunned briefly at the fact that Fu Hua practically lied through her teeth regarding how I became a Herrscher, although in a way it is actually the truth with some obscuring of many details…
It's then that Theresa gives me a stern look before she says... "That being said, I am not happy you chose to wander off without your assigned chaperone and so while Fu Hua will be becoming an additional chaperone during your time here….as punishment you'll be joining the others for regular classes as Fu Hua's sister from China who has recently become a Valkyrie~!"
There is an encroaching feeling of dread building up in me as Theresa can see it on my face, her smile getting more and more predatory as she begins to laser focus on my reaction before saying… "Of course, we can't hide the fact you are a Herrscher so you'll have to deal with things on that front on your own Ms. Jingshen~!"
I glance at my sister from the corner of my eyes and see that Fu Hua is starting to get a bit wary of how much Theresa is enjoying my dread but before she can say anything, Theresa swiftly lands the finishing blow and says…
"As such, you'll be assigned to join Kiana Kaslana, Raiden Mei, Bronya Zaychick, Fu Hua, and yourself under a reorganized squad of five under the direct leadership of one Major Himeko!" I quite literally have to do my best to hide the sudden reaction to that name as memories of the other Himeko…Captain HIMEKO… floods into my unprepared mind for the briefest of moments before I push them to the back of my mind as best as I can…
It's right then all three of us hear a knock on the door as a woman's voice can be heard from the other side… "You called for me..?" Theresa smiles as all of us recognize the woman's voice with Theresa soon responding by saying "Indeed, please come on in to meet the new members of your squad~!"
The door behind me and Fu Hua opens and I chance a look behind me to witness a strikingly familiar Red haired woman walk into the room, her form replaced by an almost identical looking woman's body looking dead and covered in Ice completely for the briefest of moments before my vision return to normal and I look at the very much ok Major Himeko…
"Hey there Herrscher, I guess this is the first time we're meeting huh…?" Himeko says as she walks up to me as if to get a better look, she looks at me, then at Fu Hua with a frown, and then back to me as she chuckles before looking at Theresa and saying…
"Damn if I didn't know better, I'd say the Herrscher is the Elder sister considering how….uuh, stacked she is compared to her sister~!" Theresa almost immediately looks annoyed at Himeko for that remark and has to visibly restrain herself from throwing her coffee mug at the redhead so she doesn't act how she is forced to look like…
"While I would like to comment on your crass analysis of Ms. Jingshen, it would be best if you bring your two new squad members to the dorms so that she can get ready to enjoy class tomorrow!" Theresa says as the prior dread I felt returns with a vengeance, Himeko gives a casual salute before suddenly I feel Himeko grab me by the scruff of my top and begin to drag me towards her dorm with Fu Hua looking surprised and following after us..
It's only when I hear the door closing behind my sister, do I swear I hear that fucking white-haired brat burst out laughing and pound her desk in hysterics. This is not over brat, I will not be made a fool of!
St. Freya Dormitory - 5 minutes later
(Fuchou's )
I have not even been here for 5 minutes, and there is a strong smell of booze coming from a large number of empty beer bottles on the kitchen bench that seem to have been there for days although at least one seems to have been opened last night…
"Hey sugarplums, guess who I managed to find and who is, along with her new sister, is joining our squad on a somewhat permanent basis!" Himeko says into the dorm room as Kiana, Mei, and Bronya all see me and while Bronya just shrugs and plays some sort of handheld console, Kiana and Mei come on over...
During this, I am briefly once more assaulted with visions of the two's future death on the moon before I shake my head and am suddenly forced to keep myself upright as Kiana tackles me out of nowhere...
"You complete meany, you made everyone worry about you and think I wasn't keeping a close eye on you!" Kiana says while pouting, making me grimace and feel immensely guilty for just wandering off and getting Kiana in trouble like that…
"I'm sorry Kiana, I just…felt a draw.." I say lamely, making Kiana look at Fu Hua, then turns to a slightly wary-looking Mei as both she and I can sense the budding power of the Herrscher of thunder within her, regardless Mei calms herself down and puts a welcoming smile on her face as she says…
"Welcome to the squad, I'm looking forward to working alongside you!" I find myself slowly nodding and smiling in turn. Before long though I am introduced to me and Fu Hua's room as much to my surprise, Fu Hua specifically requested that I be at her side during my slumber…
Geez, part of me kinda wishes Old-timer was as considerate as his version of her as my sister rather than how she tended to quite literally yank my chain at times. I wince as memories of the old-timer's death at Kevin's hand fill my mind again, I really need to stop doing that I think.
After accommodations for me and my sister are sorted, Kiana is very quick to challenge me to some games they have and I strangely find that I am incredibly good at gaming in general, something that Bronya seems to take note of as she soon starts trading rounds in a fighting game against me.
Thinking about it though, I realize it's not a skill I or the Old-timer had at all but rather % ~#!'s own gaming skill becoming my own. While it is really nifty and all, it makes me wonder who the poor bastard was all the more.
One thing that my sister Fu Hua does note though is the fact I seem to have a strange affinity for strategy games that feature army building, resource managing, and the like. Either way the time until dinner is spent with me just bonding with the rest of the squad with Himeko making a few sly comments here and there while sipping a beer bottle.
St. Freya Dormitory - Not long after dinner
(Fuchou's P.O.V)
I yawn as I find myself rather tired, almost ready for bed if I am being quite honest so I start heading to my and my sister's room intending to get ready to sleep. However, much to my own surprise I see my sister already there as if waiting for me in meditation during her wait before she notices I am in the room and sighs before standing up…
"Sister, there is a request I would like to make of you if you don't mind me asking…" Fu Hua says, I just stare at her and slowly nod before the request that comes out of Fu Hua's mouth leaves me quite stunned if I am being honest.
"I would like you to bind me to yourself so that no matter what happens there is a bond between us that will never break.." Fu Hua says as my silence continues for several seconds before I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose and ask…
"This is about the memories you're missing isn't it…?" Fu Hua nods as she had come to the conclusion that some of the memories she witnessed from the accidental transfer seem to be pieces of the memories she had discarded in exchange for power over the years during multiple incidents, at least one of them I suspect she's forgotten entirely about or at least the reason for using said power…
I sigh and nod, reaching into a pocket space I can feel I have, I grab an identical bracer to mine and walk forward. But just before I put it on her, I grab her wrist and pull Fu Hua forward before I say… "Let's get one thing straight, if you're doing this I forbid you from using that damn thing to remove any more of your memories, got it..?"
Fu Hua is silent for a moment before she slowly nods, making me stare as sternly as I can at her before I ultimately sigh and put the bracer on Fu Hua at last. The bracer locks itself on and a hidden timer begins.
Not really wanting to talk much further as I am rather tired, I head to bed alongside Fu Hua and soon drift off to what I hope is not another sequence of nightmares.
Unfortunately, my hopes would be ultimately dashed this time and perhaps many nights from now on…
Meanwhile - Elsewhere in the dorm
(General P.O.V)
Kiana Kaslana tosses and turns in her sleep as her sleep this night is plagued with an eerily familiar-looking nightmare of snow and fire, all while hearing a haunting, chilling laughter of a young girl before Kiana finally jolts up in her sleep.
"H-ha….It..It was just a dream…" Kiana says as she tries her best to convince herself that what she saw was merely a dream or rather just a nightmare. As she calms herself down the best she can, she tries to drift off back to sleep.
However, if she had only looked at the mirror a few seconds before she had drifted off back to sleep, she would have noticed that her usual deep blue eyes had turned an ominous golden color as through the mere presence of Fuchou the Long Dormant Herrscher of the Void is ever so slowly waking up inside of Kiana.
And as Kiana returns to slumber once more, her dreams are greeted once again by the haunting, chilling young girl's laughter….
Author's Notes
- The Author slowly opens the door that hasn't been opened in almost a full month with a sheepish look on their face -
Well, this is embarrassing, I had intended to have a chapter out long before now at least for all three of my stories, and well, a myriad of IRL problems, massive writer's block, and my mojo for story writing being bone dry until very recently.
Even so, I feel I must apologize for the long wait and hope the myriad of recent content releases happening for all three stories at the same time will go a long way to mending the gap that the long time between content releases has created.
It is here before I get into the plot points of this chapter that I make an announcement regarding my stories.
First of all, I am moving Sentient Wrath to a monthly release schedule as much as it pains me to admit, I have overestimated my ability to handle that particular medium and as such have moved it to a once-a-month release schedule as well as asked for aid from someone who knows Honkai Impact 3rd far better than I do in terms of lore and world mechanics in order to ensure that Sentient Wrath can continue despite the disadvantages I am facing regarding the story.
Secondly, regular chapter releases of A Golden Goddess and Wrapped in Shadows will resume next week as I have no intention of moving either of those to the monthly schedule…
And finally, I am announcing I will be releasing a new Waifu Catalog story, some of those who I have been talking to in the Waifu Catalog and Waifu Catalog Interactive discords may know what story I am referring to which will be working on a once-a-month minimum irregular release schedule.
In short, I am back in business everyone!
Now to begin with the story plot points discussions as per usual!
Discussions between Fuchou and Fu Hua
This honestly had to happen as Fuchou really needed someone to be her support as she recovers from the trauma she endured only a day or two a go for her now. Plus her clearing the air about the source of her new abilities early, will establish a sort of strong bond of trust between the two.
Anti-Entropy's Reaction
News of Fuchou's appearance was bound to become known to the big players in Anti-Entropy at some point, especially due to how much it has fucked with the natural state of things simply by her existing in this time and with her firmly against the Honkai.
Plus Papa Bear Siegfried is always gonna be a thing.
Meeting with Theresa and Himeko
Considering how Fuchou essentially wandered off without Kiana, she is well within her right to be petty for the Herrscher of Sentience making everyone worry about her. While she did enjoy pissing off the allied Herrscher, she wasn't about to alienate her either so she reigned herself in to explain Fuchou and Fu Hua's new Squad situation, both as a way to ensure Fuchou isn't gonna be constantly doing her own thing and to subtly Fu Hua in a more advantageous position for Fuchou's own plans.
Of course, then Himeko, being Himeko dragged that caught off-guard and baffled Herrscher, and only when they were gone did Theresa finally break and start laughing at the stunned look on Fuchou's face, much to the immense irritation of said Herrscher.
Binding Fu Hua
This will be the first of Fu Hua's captures although she'll have to be very careful how she handles her captures for now with Otto paying very close attention to the new Herrscher so spam-capturing is not an option.
The brief appearance of the Herrscher of the Void
And here comes the very first main-cast consequence regarding Fuchou's presence around them as she's unintentionally causing Sirin to wake up and respond faster than she would in canon.
How this will play out only time will tell
